An initiative of the African Centre for the Constructive Resolution of Disputes (ACCORD), Coffee with ACCORD, is a video podcast series with each episode taking the form of an informal, 'coffee shop style' conversation with a diverse range of interviewees. Coffee with ACCORD is a production which provides a new source of information, as well as a new platform and format in which to digest the information and breathe new life into discussions about conflict issues in Africa. Coffee with ACCORD furthers the pursuit of peace on the African continent through knowledge and experience sharing.
In this ninth episode of Coffee with ACCORD, we speak with the current African Youth Ambassador for Peace for the North Africa Region, Khouloud Ben Mansour.
This episode is hosted in partnership with the Youth for Peace Africa Program (Y4P), as a prelude to an Inter-Generational Dialogue Series we are co-convening that will examine the key cross-cutting issues identified by the Continental Framework for Youth, Peace and Security (CFYPS) as having an impact on the effective involvement of youth in peace and security in Africa, namely; capacity building, inclusivity, gender mainstreaming, communication and knowledge management.
This Coffee with ACCORD episode aims to begin building understanding of these cross-cutting issues and how they impact the YPS agenda. This episode is inspired by the work ACCORD and Y4P, and all the other local, national, regional and continental actors, are doing towards strengthening the youth, peace and security agenda on the continent.

Djinnit explains the African Union (AU) policy on dealing with unconstitutional changes of government (UCG) and how it has generated countless debates, especially in light of the recent wave of coups d’état in Africa, including in Burkina Faso, Mali and Guinea, prompting the conviction that for any organisation to move forward, it needs to pay special attention to its institutional memory and past experiences.
