I sat down with my client and friend Roberta West, an expert at all things evergreen launches.

It can be hard to know how to share your offer, especially if you’re new to the online business scene. Do you go with a live launch or an evergreen funnel? And what the heck is the difference anyway?

Lucky for me (and all you listening), Roberta is here to break down the difference and offer key differences between the two that demand different approaches to content and copy. We go in-depth about:

  • How to choose the right strategy- live launch or evergreen
  • The copy needed for both of these strategies

Utilizing live launches as well as evergreen offers will help your business grow in a sustainable and well-rounded way; you just have to tailor your offer and your copy. Doing both takes a bit more work than just slapping a funnel on an offer that’s been live launched, but as long as you know the audiences for each, and what they need from you, you’ll be able to comprehensively map out the customer experience.

Be sure to tune in to learn ways to do this, and remember Roberta is here if you need some help along the way!

Let’s get physical! Today we’re going to talk about the physical parts of your offer- i.e. anything tangible (think workbooks, swag, meal plans, etc) but also the modules of your digital courses. Essentially, anything that the client gains access to after they purchase your offer.

But how much emphasis should you be placing on those tangible things in your sales copy? What should you be highlighting on your sales page and in your sales emails to emphasize the big picture results you’re promising?

In this episode, we’re going to take a closer look at:

  • Why knowing your audience is critical
  • How taking into account their past experiences can help you in your offer

Becoming more familiar with your audience helps you know exactly what parts of your offer you need to emphasize to get them to buy. Remember: you’re selling a possibility, and you don’t need to clutter that up with endless lists of all the things your clients will get. The desired transformation will look different for every customer, so paint them a broader picture, and let them fill in their own blanks.

One of the most common mistakes I see in sales copy is a lack of narrative structure. Most of the time, this issue lives on the sales page. I’m not saying you need to weave an epic tale of love loss and adventure), but infusing key storytelling elements into the foundations of what you’re offering goes a long way in enlivening your copy and making it more likely to connect and convert. In this episode we’ll talk more about:

  • Why a narrative structure is important in your copy
  • How informative, engaging copy can save you time and energy

Again, I’m not telling you to tell a tale worthy of an Oprah endorsement… but some well-crafted, compelling copy that reveals a bit more about YOUR story can go a long way in attracting clients. It makes you relatable, and makes your potential customer feel like they know you and can trust your intentions.

Figuring out your offer differentiator is CRITICAL. It can really make or break your launch. Why are people going to choose YOUR offer if they don’t know why it’s better than all the other ones out there?

In this episode we take a closer look at:

  • How to identify the ways that your offer fills gaps that no one else does
  • Ways to capitalize on that in your copy

Making your program’s differences obvious for the client will go a long way, and reinforcing those differences on your sales pages and emails will drive your point home.

It also helps take the work out of the process for the buyer; their mind is made up before they even feel like they have to go look at an alternative program.

Sales objections are a tough thing to face, but you don’t have to handle them in a way that makes you feel…for lack of a better term…icky. In today’s episode, I’m giving my best pointers on how you can overcome objections in your sales copy in an empathetic and ethical way that you can feel GOOD about.

You’re probably feeling hesitant to believe that it’s that easy. And I don’t blame you! But for what it’s worth, looking at objections from a different angle and understanding their validity also helps you understand that there’s a valid way to address them productively.

  • The Importance of Overcoming Objections
  • Overcoming Objections to Spur a Deeper Connection

Don’t let buyer objections intimidate you in 2022! Make this the year of conversions. Give your audience everything they need to get off the fence and say YES to what you have to offer.

Let’s talk launches, baby! I’m talking about what you should do prior to a launch in order to set yourself up for success. So often, business owners want to jump right into launching their offer and skip some vital steps that could really benefit them in the long run when it comes to connections and conversions.

  • Asking Your Audience What They Want

  • What Causes Writer’s Block?
  • How Can You Cure Writer’s Block
  • Writing to a Muse

In this episode, I’ll be covering the four biggest mistakes people make when writing their own website copy and how you can avoid them.

We’re not going to focus on the obvious, like voice, grammar, keywords, and other surface-level adjustments to your copy that can easily be fixed. The truth is that the biggest mistakes aren’t in the website copy themselves. They happen BEFORE the writing process, and have nothing to do with the copy you write at all!

Here are a few mistakes I cover:

  1. Overthinking it
  2. Starting with the design first
  3. Throwing something together to get a website out there
  4. Starting by writing

I hope that this episode gives you some tools to approach writing your website copy the right way.
