We have learnt quite a number of things in this 10 days, and the umbrella covering all that we've learnt is Patience. We learnt humility, self control,self regulation,etc all these are virtues. Intentional parenting is a journey and an end.
Take a deep breath, Talk it out, Take time out, change your environment, write your anger in a paper & throw it away, ask questions. Lots of replacement, shared in the book.
Put up the things suggested as a reminder to help you understand what you need to tell your child per time
No1 Remember that children will act like children. Secondly, offer empathy to your child as they express any kind of emotion.
Childi learn emotional regulation from our staying calm& empathetic in the face of their upset. Teach your child to name the emotion. For eg, "I am angry".

Anger happens, when we interpret or reach a certain situation. They're many triggers to it. Situations where you feel threatened, emotionally hijacked,or frustrated,we get angry. Parents get angry at their children for many reasons too& most times, the pressure of life tops the list& triggers us..
Setting your rules. You can yell To, but not yell At. The former is to get your child's attention, while the later is taking down on your child, which is totally demeaning.
Take a vow of yellibacy. Make a sticker chart for a respectful voice on your children, spouse & in the home. Put it up where you can easily see it.
