Not everything is down in the dumps though. The A's are winning games, the Reds youth movement is in full swing, and the Orioles are a straight up legit contender. He was on the Giants and then the Giants got a little worried about an injury and then he wasn't on the Giants and then he was on the Mets because Cohen was like 'Who cares about injuries we wanna win' but then Cohen was also like 'oh wait the Giants were kinda right about this injury thing' and now the Mets aren't really sure about this whole thing and Correa is now just sorta chilling for a while before it all gets figured out probably just hoping he doesn't end up on the Twins again. Join Adam, Brian, and Noah, for all the big free agent signings of guys named Carlos, and also the other signings that happened this week of guys not named Carlos. Carlos made a ton of money this week, not Carlos also made a lot of money, but not as much as Carlos. Teams with Carlos are happy after this week. One team actually lost Carlos but then gained back Carlos and so they're still in a good mood. Teams without Carlos could also be happy, but since they don't have Carlos it's a lot harder to tell. 2023 looks like it's gonna be a great year for Carlos. It'll probably be a great year for not Carlos too, but we'll have to wait and see. Have a happy holidays everybody, see ya next year.

Tired of letting their Houston brothers run the division, the Rangers decided to lock and load for the 2023 duel and have gone big for the second year in a row landing Jacob deGrom for the next 5 years. Of course the Astros won't go quietly and sign a big name of their own in Jose Abreu. On the 69th day of 2022, the new CBA for the MLB was finally agreed upon and put into place ending the lockout and finally signalling to the world: baseball is back. Opening day is a month away, but free agency got started immediately, and while it may have started slower than some anticipated, it was far from boring. Jose Berrios, Byron Buxton, and Wander Franco, all signing big deals to stay on their respective teams. Marcus Semien, Eduardo Rodriguez, and Starling Marte, all signing big deals to go elsewhere. It's been a wild couple of weeks before the nearing lockout, and we hope more massive deals come through before the calm. We'll be back in a couple weeks with everything important that happens, but until then, enjoy this episode absolutely chock full of free agency goodness.
With the season officially concluded we get to take a nice retrospective on the year and hand out some totally meaningful and accurate awards. But of course the other best part of the offseason is the potential for big free agent moves, and boy have we already seen some absolutely colossal signings (not really). It's the beginning of a potentially slow end of the year with a lockout looming and a free agent class that could take a while to settle, so expect us to be a little less frequent with episodes, but just as jam packed with top tier baseball analytics and opinions.
The Atlanta Braves are your World Series Champions and the universe is at peace knowing that we go another year without the Astros winning. Of course, with the end of the season we reach the beginning of the absolute madness that is the off season. Join Adam, Brian, and Noah, as we begin to go over the chaos that is about to ensue. Qualifying offers have been extended, options have been accepted and denied, and the free agent market begins to take shape. Will we see Kershaw on the Giants? Will we see Semien return to the Jays? Will the Rockies do literally anything? Who knows, and honestly, that last one is the least likely of the three. Anyway, we go over the offers that did happen already, and talk about what we think about them, we also go over the Gold Glove award winners, and the fact that honestly they're kind of meaningless, and finally, Brian holds back tears as Buster Posey has officially retired. We are five games into the World Series and much to the disappointment of everyone alive the Astros haven't lost it all yet. Hopefully this is the episode before their downfall. We have all kinds of cards to talk about this week. The Cards of St. Louis are on a massive winning streak and trying to secure their place in the playoffs. The wild card is looking spicier and spicier as the titans of AL East just keep swapping places. Lastly, the card that held a whole bunch of the Blue Jays scouting information is now in the hands of the Rays. Gearing up for post-season baseball is always a good time and this year has been no different, unless you're a Padres fan, in which case, I'm sorry :(
Welcome to the most biased episode of the Nonstop Baseball Podcast yet. Join Adam and Brian as they gush over the Blue Jays and Giants because Noah wasn't there to stop them. Of course there is talk about other happenings in baseball, like Lindor having a big game against the Yankees, Scherzer pitching like the absolute madman that we all know he is, and the Baltimore grounds crew getting kicked off the field by the umps. We are in the thick of some major post season pushes, and some teams that thought they were in are out, while others have battled their way back into the conversation. Who do we think makes it? Who are the scariest teams to face in the playoffs? Why is Tatis getting yelled at in the dugout? If you want to know, you'll have to tune in and find out.
Brian is once again absent from this episode, but that's ok I'll go over what he would have had to say. He would be happy that the Giants are the first team to 90 wins and have expanded their lead on the division, and he probably would've had a lot to say about his two favorite people named Brandon. With that out of the way, join Adam and Noah as they go over the happenings in the rest of the league; those happening including but not limited to: the Red Sox are sick again, the Blue Jays are beating good teams and losing to bad teams, Larry Walker is still really into Spongebob, Gary Sanchez runs away from tagging people, and Jacob deGrom runs away from the media. But unlike deGrom and Sanchez, please don't run away from us, stay a while and listen to our baseball related ramblings. Also the Brewers threw a combined no hitter like 20 minutes after we finished recording so we didn't mention it, sorry, we are, unfortunately, not able to see into the future.
Another great week of baseball as Shohei hits more homeruns and steals home, America's Team™ makes their case for a playoff spot, the Jays win a bunch of games yet remain in 4th, the Giants lose their grip on first place then get it back, and then all the stuff that happened with everybody's favorite New York baseball team. The Mets decided this week that instead of being a normal and functional baseball franchise, that instead they would get boo'd so hard by their fans that they felt the need to boo them back, then have their owner party a little too hard and get a DUI; just another day for the Mets. Join Adam, Brian, and Noah as they talk about how much of a mess that team is, and if they've still got a chance to shake the hangover and make a push for the playoffs. It's a fun episode, capped off with some trivia and 'Who Really?', so get comfy and have a listen, you won't be disappointed.
Brian woke up the morning of this recording and decided that instead of hanging out and chatting about baseball, he would go play golf. Now, normally I wouldn't appreciate such a thing but it feels poetic because I think this is what the Orioles have been doing all year, as they seem to keep waking up and wanting nothing to do with the sport. Join Adam and Noah as we discuss this bad baseball team, as well as other bad baseball teams, and even some good baseball teams. One of those bad teams is the Mets, who got absolutely destroyed this last couple weeks, kinda like how Miguel Sano absolutely destroyed the record for longest homerun hit at Fenway. We talk about all that, and also go over some potential Hall of Fame hopefuls, some players who are putting up some really dang good numbers, and a game between the Padres and Dodgers that honestly, I wasn't sure would ever actually end, and frankly wish it had gone on even longer because it was one of the most beautiful disasters of a baseball game that I have ever had the privilege to see.

Adam and the Baltimore Orioles do not have much in common but as of now they are both down bad. The Orioles are currently on a horrendous losing streak and Adam's Internet was batting 0-3 on the day of recording. Sometimes it happens.
