In today's episode of The Next Web, we're taking a look at another aspect of web 3 - Decentralized Autonomous Organization or DAO. What are DAOs? How do they work? Why are they rising in popularity as of late?
We'll also look into some popular DAOs from 2021 such as Friends with Benefits DAO, Decentraland, BitDAO, Constitution Dao, and Beets DAO.
n today's episode, we're going to discuss the evolution of NFT marketplaces - going from a general store to very niche similar to the progression of marketplaces from Ebay or Craigslist to Airbnb and Uber.
We'll also take a look at a couple of these projects that are part of the evolution process:
- Context.app, a very Instagram-like app where you can view someone's collection as a feed and you can buy those NFTs.
- Sound.xyz, similar to Soundcloud but you can buy into a song that allows you to comment on the track and support artists.
