Chris Hannaway founded Infinite Session with his brother Tom in 2018. They set out with a goal of creating an alcohol-free beer that actually tastes like beer, just like you'd find in your local craft brewery. Infinite beers sell worldwide, predominantly in UK and US supermarkets and have won several World Beer Awards, including when judged against alcoholic beers!
Unlike alcohol-free beers of the past, Infinite Session is unrestrained. Infinite Session stands for more when alcohol-free beer has always been defined by restriction. They believe that beer is bigger than booze: no more covering labels or whispering orders at the bar. Drinking should be on your terms because the flavour is more important than ABV.
In this episode, Simon and Chris discuss how to go about starting a business you love, working with family and much more.

Ryan and his Co-founder Josie have a combined 20 years of experience working for consumer goods brands, from Ecover and Method and Ella’s Kitchen to PepsiCo and Starbucks. Having both worked for larger cleaning brands for several years, we were aware of the fact that cleaning products are often 90% water and packaged in single-use plastic. Globally, homecare generates around 29.5 billion bottles each year, and in the UK less than one-third of plastic is recycled, according to Euromonitor.
Ryan believes that the planet and people deserve a better option and felt that with their experience they could build something that would have a real impact on the industry. So they set out on a mission to reimagine clean. To create cleaning products that would be a real sustainable step change with no single-use plastic and no more unnecessary water.
In this episode, Simon and Ryan discuss why putting yourself in the shoes of your consumer is so important, sustainability in business and much more. If you enjoy this podcast send it to a friend so you can level up together!

Richard Chambers got the idea for his company ‘Get A Drip’ after he found himself in intensive care in 2010 suffering complications from his Type 1 Diabetes. Following this admission, Richard was continually in and out of hospital for 7 years due to issues related to a reduced immune system, where often as part of the treatment he would be hooked up to an IV Drip.
Feeling the rejuvenating benefits, Richard decided that drips should be accessible to the general public, not just in hospitals or to the super-wealthy. After 7 years of researching the benefits of Drips and studying the work of Dr. John Myers (the vitamin drip pioneer), Get A Drip finally came to fruition in October 2017.
Get A Drip is now the UK’s leading Vitamin Drip provider and Richard's aim is to allow everyone to take control of their health, no matter their background as he single-handedly is making optimum nutrition accessible to the masses. In this episode, Richard shows us how he made his unique business idea a reality, as well as what characteristics are essential to becoming successful.

Manchester-born, Anna Priadka is a make-up artist and founder of Fiils, a luxe hair and body line offering custom refillable, designed to overhaul bathrooms of single use plastic and waste. Anna has been in the beauty industry for over 15 years, working as a makeup artist for some of the largest direct-to-consumer brands such as MAC/Bobbi Brown, and assisting some of the industry’s biggest talents.
After being on the front line Anna progressed into a global role with NARS, where she assisted with new product development, artistry, and events direction. It was here that she discovered she had a passion for not just the creative, but the business side – she’d always said that she would like to own her own business and took the chance in 2018, leaving her corporate role to start her first brand in the lip category.
The lessons Anna learned from this venture as an entrepreneur were invaluable and although the business was successful in the very short term, she realised it wasn’t sustainable.Anna’s current company, fiils, was born out of her mission to contribute positively to the industry by reducing consumption, as well as a personal need to reduce waste in her own routine.
“If you enjoy creating things, creating a brand is actually quite easy. The hardest part is what do you do afterwards? There’s so much more that goes into launching a product and running a business. That was a real struggle for me, but I wouldn’t change anything about my journey.”

Alex co-founded Champions Life Academy, a sales and marketing organisation that gave students with job experience fundraising for charity, before starting his own business. He spent three months giving daily presentations to university students as part of his job.
The chance to develop and organise TEDxClapham, a public speaking community event in South London, presented itself. He accomplished this in conjunction with Champions Life Academy until 2016, when Alex and his colleagues decided to close the firm. He organised a public speaking session for Google Startups Campus, a group of entrepreneurs that come to Google for events, guidance, and mentorship. Following that, 10 individuals signed up for his trial public speaking programme, launching his company.
What makes a successful public speaker, according to Alex, can be summed up in one word: empathy. "It has nothing to do with whether you're introverted or extroverted; it's all about empathy and being tuned in to your audience." Simon and Alex examine what it takes to be a world-class speaker in this episode, as well as why purpose comes first in the company.
“Don’t let yourself get in the way of the opportunities that get thrown at you, because you never know who’s going to be watching.”

Ade Hassan knew she was onto something with Nubian Skin lingerie when she posted the first product photo on social media and gained one-thousand new followers in a week. It was 2014 and the photo went on to garner over thirty-five thousand notes on Tumblr and over twenty thousand followers on Instagram, in less than a month. The UK-born, London-based founder created the brand to satisfy her own need but the internet’s response let her know that she’d struck a chord.
After graduate school, Ade went into a career in finance but couldn’t find suitable skin-tone lingerie and hosiery to go with her wardrobe. If she was experiencing this problem, she imagined that other women of colour had the same need. What she didn’t realise was how immediate the need was.
Nubian Skin has had an out-sized influence on the fashion industry, with many other parts of the industry realising the need to be more inclusive. In 2017 Ade was awarded an MBE at Buckingham Palace for services to fashion. The award was made to recognise Ade’s commitment to her mission to redefine nude, and the impact she has consequently made on the fashion industry. In this episode, Ade tells us about the sacrifice that must be made in entrepreneurship, how she found her purpose, how she was awarded an MBE and much more.

If you run a charity or a business that helps others there seems to be a problem that people think those who runs these organisations should not be well paid. This is a major problem in my bow and let’s talk about it today.
There are two things in history that have recently happened. If we don't acknowledge the change that it has had on our society and start to readjust, the whole fabric of humanity will fall apart and anarchy will follow. If it hasn't already begun. And to trace these two changes back, you have to look at the history of the last 100.
First of all the history of education, how education was formalized 150 years ago. And how that formation of a formalized education left people no longer working within an instinct. Within their purpose within a structure of necessity, real-life skills, doing real-life things. We got sidetracked into what I can only describe as a factory to make factory workers.
We were trained to obey, to listen, to authority that getting an a and memorizing things and doing labours tasks was the most important thing we need to get back to the original reason. That we self-educate to fit within an ecosystem that needs the skills that we have. The second thing that has dramatically changed is the way we're no longer tribal.
We're not tribal in the way that we are meant to be original. When we were working together in open fields, where we all built homes together or caves, we all had a role to play. We would help each other. No one would sleep outside. There was no such thing as homeless. We've gone back in. When homelessness is part of the vocabulary, how has this happened?
Well, I basically put it down to the beginnings of banking. When the banks were invented when they were being created by the very people that across this problem, they wanted the banks to lend lots of money and almost make people work for the banks and the institutions that created them. And part of that structure was a mortgage.
It was almost like your destiny to buy a home suddenly, and that you should get into debt and buy that washing machine that you don't need, or that car that shows your status, and suddenly the image of what was important, shifted from community and friendship and connection to what we have social media, isn't actually to blame for this social.
Media's just a product, an outcome of some of the steps that were taken in the early days of banking. Now we all live in separate homes. We have our stuff. We're no longer thinking about the person at the end of our street that's homeless that has no food. We're thinking I want to make sure I'm okay.
And therein lies, the two biggest problems created in recent history. If we don't address, first of all, the need to be back to our tribal instincts and help each other and learn to reimagine education, to not control us, but to free us, financial literacy, understanding how the financial system works, thinking about how it's possible to give people purpose, teach people what purpose is, teach people that taking a risk and going out and hunting is the fun piece of life. Not waiting in the cave for someone to bring you a fish. And when you want another fish, Begging them to give you one and they'll review you in three months and let you know, if you will, you are in control of your own destiny.
We need to unplug people from the system that has been engineered. Even money itself has been created as the holy grail in modern society of success. When of course anyone that's successful will tell you money. Doesn't buy you happiness, in fact, it only makes you happy if you're already happy. So how do you get happy?
We go back to our basic instincts. We care about each other. We start realizing that we have a purpose and we're not meant to chase an immaterial, pointless product, like money.
Tony was born in Beirut, Lebanon, during a violent civil war, and was lucky enough to travel to France at the age of seventeen to study for a computer sciences degree, then attended the IMD Business School in Switzerland.
After graduating, Tony founded Nexmo, a pioneer in the Communications Platform as a Service (“CPaaS”) category. Nexmo made it easy for software developers to add essential communications capabilities (like sending messages between ride-sharing drivers and passengers) to their applications, on a global scale. Nexmo went public via a merger with Vonage in 2016.
After the Nexmo exit, Tony took some time off to consider what to do next. He began to invest in “platform models that can change the world”, Tony’s investments include Pento, Truelayer, Dialpad, Hopin, and Claap.
That other talented individuals in emerging economies should enjoy similar career opportunities, without the need for geographic displacement, is a persona, passion and the ideological cornerstone of Tony’s career. It is where the idea of Oyster was born.
For most people in emerging economies, career fulfilment means moving to another country. Tony believes this necessity to be in the office sets up unassailable inequalities for many people in emerging economies. Why should they have to move halfway around the world, away from their community and support system, to have a successful career?
Tony created Oyster to remove the remaining barriers to successful remote work, including hiring, compensating and managing team members who are physically far away from the office.
In this episode, Tony reveals the secrets that helped him scale Oyster to 1$ Billion valuations, as well as his unique journey to success. Simon and Tony also go deep on how to get investment, purpose and Web3.

Tony Fadell is the creator of the iPod, co-creator of the iPhone, and founder of Nest Labs, which was acquired by Google for $3.2 Billion. Named as one of the top 100 most influential people in the world by Time magazine in 2014, Tony believes that instead of building artificial platforms like the Metaverse, we need to focus on building products that fix and improve the real world.
Tony’s first job out of college was such a disaster that it killed all new development in consumer-oriented personal computers for a decade. The next products he built were commercial failures, then he started his own company – a year before the .com bubble burst. But after 10 years he learned – with every team, every product, every disaster – how to design, manufacture, market and sell something people actually wanted.
In this podcast, Tony goes deep on why failure is good, the problems with the metaverse, and the key to work/life balance and he also tells us his biggest regret. We’re so excited to bring you this interview with such an incredible entrepreneur and Unicorn. We know you’ll love this one, if you enjoy the episode all we ask is that you share it online so that we can help more people start and grow a business of their own. Enjoy!
“You only fail if you give up. If you don’t give up and you learn from your mistakes, that’s a normal cycle of learning and it’s okay! Failure sounds like such a harsh word but I don’t see it that way. You only learn what you love to do by doing a lot of things that you don’t like doing.”

Over the last few years I've directed and filmed the promotional campaigns for some of the most awarded international TV shows such as Netflix’s “The Crown”, “Narcos”, or Amazon’s "The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel” and StarZ “Vida". What better way to learn how to tell stories than helping others promote and tell theirs. As a director, a cinematographer and a former journalist I'm constantly curious about everything that unfolds before his eyes; from the little unnoticed stories that flood our everyday lives to the big narratives that drive our existence. Film is ultimately about human emotions. If somebody sees the world differently after watching a film - no matter how they see it - and feel something about it - no matter how intensely - mission accomplished!
