Yeyo and Jon have a lot to talk about this week as the playoff picture comes into focus, they discuss who are the real contenders still left and who's season is over in August. There were also some disturbing Wander Franco allegations hitting social media just before filming and we take a look at potential outcomes for Franco and the Rays as this sensitive situation unfolds. Welcome back to Baseball As Intended! After an extended All-Star break the boys are back and there is a lot to discuss! Yeyo and Jon go over the trade deadline moves; what did we like most and did the Angels make the biggest mistake ever by NOT trading Ohtani? Of course the big news over the weekend was the Jose Ramirez and Tim Anderson brawl, what led up to it and get our reaction. The All-Star break is upon us, All-star game rosters and Homerun Derby participants have been revealed. Yeyo and Jon go over all things All-Star related, including a start, bench, cut segment relating to who got snubbed! We also take a look around the league at the players of the month: and now that we have passed the midpoint of the year, we discuss some teams that may have a hard time figuring out if they will be buyers/sellers as the deadline approached.
On this week's episode Jon and Yeyo sit down at the midway point of the season and take a look back at the first half. We go around the league and recap recent big series, as well as updating the playoff picture. We are fully in the middle of summer baseball and things are absolutely heating up. 6 teams had sweeps over the weekend which resulted in 3 new second place teams. The pennant races are coming into focus and we give our opinion on which of those contenders have a real chance to not only make the playoffs, but make a deep run into October.
