I have been working with an incredible sports Psychologist, Dr. Cypher from the University of Rochester. He recently recommended a book to me called The Confident Mind, by Dr. Nate Zinsser.

I like this book because it has simple, actionable tasks that we can all implement into our daily lives, to help us grow and move towards our goals. Today we will talk about the E-S-P exercise.

Let's commit to this exercise for the next week, and see where it lands us!

Thank you for listening!

Cancer led Laura to a dark place over 20 years ago. Multisport, specifically the community of it, saved her life. In this episode we discuss how multisport truly is the land of misfit toys and how working through trauma has led so many here. We talk about the future of Rochester Multisport, her unfinished business with Ironman, and so much more. We went deep here. If you've ever needed to know you aren't alone in your struggles, we hope that we demonstrate that we are all on the same team.

In this conversation I had a conversation with Mike Smith, president of the Rochester Area Triathletes (RATS). We discussed the ROC Tri as the NYS Championships, the current state of the RATS, what RATS offers, and the future of the club.

Note: I recorded this episode the same day I recorded Bert's, and that was the day I became aware of my "Yeah" and "Right" issue! I will work on improving that issue in the next episode!

This conversation is with Bert Gallmon, founder of Wolfpack Multisport. We talked about everything from why would anyone want to be a race director, things he wishes athletes knew about directing, the incredible community we have here in Rochester, and why multisport is growing!

Note: While listening to this, I became aware of how many times I say "Yeah" and "right" which works well in normal conversation, but can be VERY annoying to listen to on a podcast! I will work to improve this in the future!

We are back with another Nurses' Voices episode. Our goal with this series is to give Nurses a place to share their stories. Not to tear one another down. As a healthcare community, we hope to start the dialogue, of how to make things right. But to understand where we need to go, we need to share where we have been.
