This episode is one I have been wanting to do for a very long time. I am so deeply moved to welcome TK to Transforming 45. On this my last day as an Educator employed by a school board, it is spectacular synchronicity to have this conversation with TK who was a student in my very first Grade 6 class. Reconnecting with this human I cared a great deal about as an adult was the magic my heat needed this week. I have been watching TK's journey as a Non-binary, Trans person for years and I am so proud of the way they live out loud, creating space for others to be seen, loved and supported.
Take a listen to this episode, your heart, mind and soul will thank you.

I have a confession to make. This week didn't go as planned. The Episode I recorded with a really awesome guest had terrible sound quality. Her voice deserves to be heard in the best possible way so she has generously agreed to rerecord and I'll have the episode for you next week.
So, I thought I would take a break, which I kind of did, this is a short and sweet episode that gives you a few updates around some exciting new things happening at Lean In - Finding Your Way Home.

I also expand on a super short TikTok I made earlier this week. I give a little more detail about the three signs it's time to change and how we use "business" as a distraction from the truth. It's a quick listen, check it out!

The idea for this episode came through on the weekend and has been very noisy. It wouldn't leave me alone until I sat down and began the creative process.
It truly became a process, a somatic experience of sensory memories that come flooding into my body in powerful ways.
I explain my process and then tell the story that accompanies each of the 15 songs. If you know me, it is highly likely that you will hear a memory that also belongs to you. If you don't know me, I'm sure you will also hear some of your own experience. Please let me know how you relate to these songs and what memories they bring up for you.
My invitation is to engage in this process, what songs are on your soundtrack? How does listening to those songs with intention of revisiting those moments allow yourself access to sensory experiences you have been numb to? Please share, I want to know your sound tracks and hear your stories!

I am grateful for this deep dive into the heart, with Life Cycle Celebrant and Metaphysical Minister Jessie Brandon.
Today I was feeling wrung out after a morning of intense and necessary learning. Through the learning I realized that even though I thought I was showing up as my full self, I have continued to hide behind the carefully crafted shell I have created around the most vulnerable part of my soul.
This conversation was medicine for the part of me that continues to abandon the truth of who I am. The deep knowing that I am spirit, that connection with energy and source is real and that is the beating heart of my identity.
Trigger warning - there is discussion of personal experiences of sexual violence.
Take a listen to this conversation with an open heart and mind. It shifted something in my, I hope you can feel your own shift through these words.
Thank you Jessie, I'm grateful for this connection.

When I came up from recording this episode, my Cardinal was in my window. This will make perfect sense once you listen.
This episode is a very personal exploration of the complexity of grief and how it can evoke multiple emotions and perspectives about the same experience. Grief is a deeply personal and individual experience, and it can manifest in various ways for different people. I hope by diving into the multifaceted nature of my own grief journey, I can provide valuable insights and understanding for anyone who may be navigating their own grief journey or seeking to support others who are grieving.
This episode is real and raw, I want you to know that before you dive in. It's also full of light and healing.

This conversation goes to all the places.
Daniela and I could have talked all day and I think this conversation captures the magic of what it means to be a curious human. I could have picked 100 different themes to highlight in this conversation but the transformative power of curiosity presents itself clearly through out this entire conversation.
When we approach conversations, relationships, systems from the position of curiosity it allows up to detach our personal meaning and worth from the 'thing' which means we can look at it from different perspectives and learn, grow and change from those perspectives.
This conversation opened up my heart, I hope you feel that love in yours.

I love this episode so much.
There is extraordinary power in intergenerational learning, I am grateful to Carolyn Tucker for sharing her deep well of knowledge, experience and heart led leadership.
In this episode you will find the cathartic journey of a woman who intensely listened to her own inner knowing and used that knowing to create an ever evolving life that is entirely authentic. We discuss the elements of healthy aging which are so often devalued but are actually the keys to loving and caring for our bodies so that they will carry us through all our decades with purpose, strength and integrity.
There are gems of information in this conversation that are necessary for all women to hear. Please listen and share what resonates for you.

This is a deeply emotional episode. Trigger warning, there is conversation about infant loss, grief and anxiety.
Candice is a Wholistic Practitioner and Hypnotist who found her way to this healing modality through her own journey of grief, trauma and loss.
If your knowledge of hypnosis consists of people clucking like chickens on stage or in bars, that is not what we are talking about. Hypnotherapy is a healing modality that allows you to access your subconscious. We dive into past lives and how experiences we may not consciously remember impact the way we react and respond to events, emotions, and humans in this current life time. Candice leads mean through a short emotion release session, follow along and see how it works for you!
The mic did a really good job of picking up of picking up the doggos who apparently also wanted to be part of the conversation but this conversation is too fascinating not to share because of background participation.

Big week, big, big week! I’m shaking it up with a new mic and man in the studio! I thought it was only fitting that the first male to appear on Transforming 45 should be the one and only Ken Boate, my husband.
A real trend in conversations I’ve been having lately is, how challenging it can be to maintain a long term relationship and how to be together again when children are no longer the main focus of the relationship.
Ken and I are not marriage experts and we are not perfect (who wants to be perfect) but we have maintained a loving and healthy connection over 22 years of marriage. The conversation that unfolds starts with our love story and weaves its way to the keys we have discovered to staying connected and committed to our relationship.
Even after 22 years, I’m never tired of talking to this human and I even had a few ‘aha’ moments.
I hope you enjoy this conversation from the heart.

I am grateful for this hour spent with Amanda Kirkland, she is a Personal Growth Coach who is at a similar place in growing her business that I am. It is always cathartic to have a conversation with someone who can relate to the challenges of entrepreneurship and also clearly talk about what we do!
Amanda is open and vulnerable in sharing the harmful relationships she experienced and how those experiences served as a platform for growth and transformation. She left a career she had excelled at for 30 years to jump into the unknown and land in work that fills her heart and soul.
In this episode, we examine what makes a harmful (toxic) relationship, some hallmarks of how those relationships can impact our own heart, soul and mind and what we can do to move through those relationships.
This is a powerful episode that asks you to think deeply about the relationships, be they with friends, family, work, spaces or things. and discerning if they are healthy, functioning and and serving your highest good.

I have been looking forward to this conversation and it didn't disappoint. The magic is always found in the unexpected places, this conversation is full of unexpected magic. We meander through how the shift in our Mothering roles has created space for us to lean into who we really are, the really complex intersection or accepting who we are as we are and the empowering aspects of how we choose to present ourselves in the world. At the heart of this conversation is self love and allowing ourselves to embrace who we truly are despite the narrative we have woven to protect ourselves.

This is a short and sweet episode inspired by International Women's Day. One of the most joyful things I get to do in my Coaching work is to facilitate a Healing and Visioning Circle. We met last night, March the 8th, International Women's Day, how perfect. We began the circle by saying the names of our ancestors and telling a little bit about their stories. As each person told the story of a woman who had come before them and how they had impacted their lives, this beautifully complex picture began to immerge that defied the generational stereotypes that create a paper doll history of women who were fascinating, strong, complex, powerful. Women have been defying the roles assigned to us forever. In this episode, I say the names of the women who's shoulders I stand on. I encourage you to say out loud the names of the women who helped forge your identity. Share their stories here. I can't wait to hear them.

This conversation surprised me in all the best ways. Yes, Laura is a Financial Planner but she is the opposite of what you expect when you think of a Financial Planner. She spontaneously leads us in a really powerful meditation to get connected with how we experience the flow of money. Have you ever done a meditation with a financial planner, this experience was deeply impactful.
Laura's approach to wealth development is unique, "With a belief in your own worthiness and proper education about your money and investments, you can grow your wealth abundantly and realize your dreams.

This week is a double header, the lovely Kim Andrews of The Good Wax Candle Co and introducing, Lola, my spicy dog. There are some people that she insists on being near and Kim was one of them. You will hear her breathing in the back ground, it's her way of participating in the conversation.
In this episode we dive into the fear of taking a leap into Entrepreneurship and how it feels to be free. Kim knew she needed to make this change because her body was telling her it was time. We also talk about what burn out looks like, feels like, and how it impacts us on so many levels.
Kim is also taking on some badass leadership roles on our community. We talk about the community of female entrepreneurs in our community and what heart lead leadership looks like and how it changes the way make space for ourselves and bring others along in a really powerful way.

This episode came straight from both of our hearts. I can't think of a better way to celebrate 10 episodes that with this brilliant human. This episode also marks the first time I recorded with another human live in the Transforming 45 studio, I can't express how much I loved this experience.
This is a wonderfully meandering conversation that moves from how we met and how that work experience bonded us in the most unexpected ways, to Amy opening her heart to let us into her Cancer story and the way she is healing and advocating her way through this journey, a journey that has become a mission.

Today you get just me. Fear and rejection have been my constant shadow companions for a long time. They are there hovering over my shoulder and I am learning to welcome them in, to let go of my resistance to them. I am learning to welcome them as valuable parts of myself.
This is a vulnerable look at the ways in which we reject ourselves to avoid external rejection, the harm that causes and how we can move to loving ourselves first, rather than rejecting our true self out of a deep desire for self protection.

I am still vibrating with the energy of this conversation. I am grateful to Sara Rogers for weaving together the most beautiful words that captured my story and reflected my experiences of living in this female body. The theme running through this conversation is the power of language, it's ability to oppress and it's ability to liberate. Language holds weight, while it's something we read on a page, it's also a medium when we can feel in our bones when the rules are broken in ways that make room for intuition, magic, and truth.
I will be holding this conversation in my heart for a long time. Sara's words create beautiful containers for thinking, feeling and creating. This episode also feels like a celebration of the powerful voices who went before us. I'm grateful to truthtellers Azure Antoinette and Elizabeth Gilbert for seeing and valuing Sara's voice in the anthology Pivot and Pause. You both blazed the way for Sarah and I to express our truths. Also thank you @indigogirlsmusic for providing the music of my cells and showing me that words, poetry, music, create connection, love, hope and healing for a lifetime. This Episode is a joyful conversation with two of my Soul Sisters Deb Kunsch and Leah Getchell. Camp is a huge part of my story, I introduced this in my first episode. This episode dives into fun memories and it also is a love letter to the sacred space where we met, the power of the community we created every summer and how the seeds of the women we would become were planted then and continue to bloom in our lives to this day.
One of the things we didn't talk about enough, was the power of female leadership. Gerry Adam, the Director of Camp Huron modeled for us every day how to be a strong, heart led leader who strives to lift people up while holding them accountable to the highest good of the community. I think I feel another episode brewing!

This 45 minutes was time very well spent with Reiki Master, Spiritual Teacher, Self Love Advocate and Author, Vanessa Marie Dewsbury. In this conversation we examine how your way of being in the word evolves when you operate from a space of self love. There are a number of thoughts that will be living in my heart and mind as I process and integrate the power of their resonance.
We also talk about Vanessa's collection of Simple Journals and how the practices built through the journaling process can create space for healing.

Wowza, this was an emotional roller coaster. Our identities are so tangled with the roles we play, especially the role of mother. This is my motherhood story, at least it's the story up to this point, there are many more chapters to be written. What I know for sure is that the truth of who I am will now be the leading woman in my own story. Please share your own stories with me, it is so meaningful to hear for the lean in community, it really is the best part.

This is a magic conversation that has Solstice energy running through every moment. Khadoma is an Artist, Embodiment Mentor and Women's Educator, supporting the rise of the wild and wise feminine.
In this episode, Khadoma talks about the process of coming home to our bodies, to reclaiming and occupying our womb space and vulva in ways that allow women to heal, transform and show up in their lives in their deep wholeness. Through the journey of reclamation, Khadoma makes space for women to see themselves as art and creates pussy portraits that become a woman's emblem of courage.
Don't miss this episode, this is a conversation we should all be having.

I am so excited about this episode. My very long time friend, Wholistic Nutritionist Sara Lodge and I do a deep dive into what is happening in our Menopausal bodies.
We have a real conversation about how we can use food and nutrition as medicine to treat the symptoms of menopause.
This is a phase of life where women become erased, we don't talk about it enough and there is so much to learn and to celebrate. I was going to edit the last few seconds but in the spirit of celebrating more, I think it's so important that we congratulate ourselves and acknowledge when something is awesome! Sara generously shares a week long nutrition plan to take care of our ever changing bodies! https://view.flodesk.com/pages/639ba9e8487ba941a49c6598
