What happens when women's prisons stop being exclusively for women?
In this sobering episode of the City of God, Dr. Rob Pacienza sits down with Amie Ichikawa — a formerly incarcerated woman and founder of Woman II Woman — for a firsthand look at one of the least reported human rights issues in America today. Drawing from her own experience and years of advocacy, Amie exposes the devastating consequences of policies allowing biological men to enter women's prisons based solely on gender self-identification.
Amie shares heartbreaking stories from women living behind bars, many of whom are survivors of abuse and now find themselves housed alongside biological males, leaving them vulnerable to fear, trauma, assault, and even pregnancy. She argues that these policies have stripped incarcerated women of the dignity, privacy, and protection they deserve.

Most Christians think work is part of the curse.
David Bahnsen says that's one of the biggest theological mistakes the Church has made.
In this fascinating episode of The City of God, Dr. Rob Pacienza sits down with nationally recognized investor, economist, and bestselling author David Bahnsen for a biblical conversation about work, economics, artificial intelligence, and why every Christian needs a Genesis 1 vision of vocation—not a Genesis 3 one.
Drawing from Scripture, economics, and decades of experience in the marketplace, Bahnsen argues that work existed before sin entered the world because God Himself is a worker. Rather than viewing our jobs as something to simply endure until heaven, Christians should see their daily work as part of God's original design for human flourishing.
You'll hear about:
Whether you're a business owner, teacher, student, investor, parent, or simply wondering how your faith connects to Monday morning, this conversation offers a refreshing biblical vision of work as worship and service.

How did progressive ideology make its way into evangelical churches?
In this eye-opening episode of the City of God, Dr. Rob Pacienza sits down with investigative journalist, Daily Wire reporter, and bestselling author Megan Basham for a candid conversation about the cultural battles reshaping the evangelical church. She also shares practical wisdom for discerning truth, recognizing theological drift, and finding churches that faithfully preach God's Word.

As America prepares to celebrate her 250th anniversary, debates about the Constitution, religious liberty, and the nation's founding ideals are everywhere. But what did the Founders actually believe? And can constitutional government survive without the moral foundations that gave it life?
In this timely episode of the City of God, Dr. Rob Pacienza sits down with author, scholar, and former Vanderbilt University professor Dr. Carol Swain for a compelling conversation about Christianity, the Constitution, and the future of the American experiment.
Together, they explore the biblical ideas that influenced America's founding, the role of human nature in the structure of government, and why the Constitution was designed to restrain power rather than grant rights.
You'll hear about:
Dr. Swain also reflects on America's approaching 250th anniversary and argues that this milestone offers a unique opportunity to reclaim an understanding of the Constitution, the Declaration of Independence, and the biblical principles that shaped the nation.
Her warning is clear: when a people forget their history, abandon moral truth, and lose sight of their founding principles, confusion and division inevitably follow. But renewal remains possible when citizens understand both their rights and their responsibilities.

In this special re-airing of The City of God podcast, we honor the life and legacy of our dear friend Dr. Voddie Baucham. Voddie was a pastor, teacher, and cultural apologist whose bold voice equipped the church to stand firm on God’s Word.
This conversation—recorded before his passing—dives deep into one of the most urgent issues facing Christians today: the difference between biblical justice and social justice. Voddie exposes how critical theory and Marxist ideology have infiltrated the church and culture, creating counterfeit gospels that distract from the truth of Christ. He also addresses the tactics of the progressive left and why Christians must resist cultural pressure with courage and conviction.
Voddie’s insights remain as relevant now as ever, pointing us back to Scripture as the only foundation for justice and righteousness.
We give thanks for his life and ministry and pray for his wife, children, and grandchildren as they grieve.
This episode is both a remembrance and a challenge: to live with the same faithfulness and clarity that Voddie exemplified throughout his life.

In this episode of The City of God podcast, Rob Pacienza is joined by Ryan Helfenbein, Executive Director of the Standing for Freedom Center at Liberty University, for a powerful conversation on faith, culture, and the future of America.
Ryan explains why Gen Z is the most cause-driven generation in decades, and why their election-winning support for Donald Trump should not be ignored. He addresses the significance of the July 13 assassination attempt on President Trump’s life, drawing parallels to the miraculous preservation of leaders like George Washington—and why he believes God’s providence was once again on display.
The conversation turns to the cultural and spiritual implications of the second Trump Administration, especially for religious liberty, education, and the family. But both Rob and Ryan issue a strong warning: complacency is the enemy. Even if policies improve, the deeper need is revival.
They conclude with a stirring vision for a 21st-century Great Awakening, and why now is the time for the church to rise, lead, and proclaim truth with boldness and clarity.

In this episode of The City of God podcast, host Rob Pacienza welcomes author and cultural commentator Allie Beth Stuckey for a powerful conversation recorded live at the Kingdom Come Conference in Fort Lauderdale.
Allie unpacks the concept of toxic empathy—a counterfeit compassion that prioritizes feelings over truth and distorts Christian love. Whether it’s gender ideology, abortion, or same-sex marriage, many believers are being emotionally manipulated into affirming lies in the name of “kindness.”
Drawing from her book Toxic Empathy: How Progressives Exploit Christian Compassion, Allie shows how well-meaning Christians are being swept into secular narratives that sound loving on the surface—but ultimately deny God’s design for truth, justice, and order.
This episode is a call to courage, clarity, and conviction in an emotionally charged age.
