How do Hebrews Chapters 6 and 11 portray "faith" to the modern Church? There are many lessons and applications we can learn from the original audience of Hebrews Chapters 6 and 11. In Chapter 6 of Hebrews, we see people from the original audience who deserted Jesus, and then in Chapter 11, we see how real "faith " is more than just personal gain but rather the gifts of wisdom, discernment, and chasing after the will of God. This is the final episode of the Discipleship heart check before moving forward with real discipleship applications and studies. We will be going over three final points of the discipleship heart check to make sure our hearts are in alignment with Scripture before we take the good news of the gospel of Jesus Christ out to a lost world. I hope you enjoy this final heart check episode before getting into real-life discipleship.
We are continuing on with the discipleship heart check process by asking three more questions to reflect on in our hearts before going out and making disciples of all nations. It is important to always have a heart ready to serve the Lord and make disciples of all nations.
Questions:
1)Is there a ministry that I am feeling called to serve in with the Church?
2) Do I have a "fear of the Lord" {YIRAH} meaning, an awe of the Lord and His majesty along with trembling of His wrath?
3) Am I displaying genuine humility and humbleness in my daily walk?
Continuing on with questions to check our hearts before going out to make disciples of all nations. Matthew 28:19 tells us to go out to all nations and make disciples. It is vital that we constantly check our hearts and minds to fulfill this great command.
We should continue to evaluate and check our hearts before we go out and make disciples. It is important to always have our focus and heart centered on Jesus when making disciples.
