The Sun, the Moon and the Truth
Some long thoughts can't really be summarised in any fewer words, and this may be such a long thought; please bear with me.
Arguably the biggest and costliest climate fraud of all history in Norway was the so-called Moon Landing, launched by our Dear Leader Mr Stoltenberg in his New Year's address in 2007, when he promised to open a functioning CO2 capture plant within 7 years. Many of us suspected already from the onset that this would be a huge fraud and distraction, essentially allowing Norway and his government to keep on keeping on with their drill, baby, drill oil & gas extraction policies, because, it would all be cleaned up by miracle machines of the future.
The Norse Moon Landing crashed and burned spectacularly, of course, and everyone kept their jobs and didn't even have to wear ankle monitors. The cost of this fraudulent fairytale, adjusted for the fact that Norway is a much smaller country than the US, was about half that of the OG American Moon Landing per capita (using 1962 population numbers).
Stoltenberg's pledge to Land on the Moon, however, begs the question: Did he actually know from the start that his pathetic Moon Landing would be an expensive fraud that would never figuratively put a Man on the Moon, and therefore pick the very specific name 'Moon Landing' for his project? And thereby buy the time to exploit our carbon resources with less resistance for 7 years, not caring that he'd be found out, because, he'd fail upwards to the top NATO job anyway, skyrocketing carbon emissions and other pollution in their quixotic war against Russia?

What happens when you put a Super El Niño atop the controlled contraction?
According to several sources we now have a full-on attack on farmers, food-processing facilities and energy infrastructure from “our own” governments, for whatever reason, in addition to an apocalyptic war that makes even less sense than many previous wars, at least from what they claim to be fighting for, as well as the usual food-producing difficulties brought on by storms, draught and floods. It’s almost like the deep state wants a collapse or contraction of our societies and economies.
Enter the prospects of the mightiest El Niño in almost a decade, with its potential for messing things up further, what sort of world are we actually looking at over the coming months? Karina and I will also be looking at where the ice will go (spoiler: It won’t go North) during this deluge of anomalies of the temperatures and the weather systems, what the permafrost and the submerged Siberian permafrost will do under warmer and increasingly ice-free shallow waters, and of course what it all means for the prospects for saving as many people (with leaves, tails & wings) as possible in the transcollapse world.

So just to recap quickly the story of the Extinctionati and its relation to eco-activism. The context for what we’ll be talking about with my friend Svein.
It all started with Lord Hugh reaching out to Extinction Rebellion UK and suggesting they think bigger and jam the system at a higher level — Like mounting a Financial Strike of some form. Why block the road and annoy normal people when you could use precision higher up, right?
Then we invited Derrick Jensen and Lierre from Deep Green Resistance, and found common ground in saving the salmon, the river or the forest, locally, for as long as it takes till this industrial civilisation collapses.
But then there was also some talk about other forms of physical activities that would amount to Accelerationism, that’s making the system collapse faster.
So after Hugh died a year ago today from a blood clot, the world changed again in many ways: For instance, the pipeline in the Baltic Sea was sabotaged, allegedly by the USA and Norway. And the USA allegedly also produced the virus and the pandemic, causing a much bigger stress to the world economy than an activist debt strike could have.
And point by point has basically been proven, that Normies going about their Normie lives, being Normies. Going to war etc. Is bringing the Collapse closer much faster than anything activists could have ever instigated or accomplished.
So all of this is to say that, Civilisation doesn’t need help from activists to collapse itself. Therefore we should largely relax and enjoy our lives and not risk ending it in a prison cell.
However, there is one important exception to this rule, and that is for the local, Derrick Jensen-style activism, to save a river just until society has collapsed already.
