Lord Vishnu takes avatar's to protect people from not only the asuras that cause trouble but anyone that misuses their power! Parasurama is a Chiranjeevi that is a powerful Brahmin that showed the Kshatriyās that they couldn't get away with being terrible just because they had wealth and power! This Kathā is just one small part of the full story of this avatar because the stories about Parasurama can be quite extreme and likely inappropriate for little ears! Enjoy listening!

Not all asuras are bad! Prahlad's grandson, King Mahabali is an example of an asura (demon) that was in fact a kind and gracious leader.
