Kaiyukan Osaka, Japan 🇯🇵This summer was really hot. In Osaka, it was over 35 degrees Celsius every day and it was so hot that I hated going outside. A friend of mine came from Shanghai to visit me in Osaka and we all went to Kaiyukan, a very large aquarium in Osaka. Watching the fish swimming in the water was so relaxing and made me forget about the hustle and bustle of the outside world and the stress of daily life 🎵.
この夏は本当に暑かった。 大阪では連日35度を越えて外に行くのが嫌になるほど暑かった。 友人が上海から大阪に遊びに来てくれて、みんなで海遊館、大阪にあるすごく大きな水族館に行ってきた。 水の中で、泳ぐ魚を見ているとなんとも癒され外の喧騒と日頃のストレスを忘れることができた🎵

京都の比叡山は市内と比べると標高もかなり高いし、きっと気温も涼しいはずと思ったけどぜんぜん、そうではなく蝉の鳴き声が響き渡る真夏の京都でした。暑い！！ でも、これぞ日本の夏！！

Black shag (kawau) in Osaka
近所に流れるすごく汚れている川があります。本当に汚れていて、市役所が川の掃除をしてもまた汚れるといった川でした。そんな、川が近年、川の清掃が少しずつ進み、カワウが川に戻ってきました。まじかー。こんな、汚い川にカワウが戻ってきて、カワウのためにも川をもっと綺麗にしたいと思いました。

Beautiful cherry blossoms at night!
These days, I am in charge of the night shift, so I usually go home after 23:00. Well, even though I work the night shift, I also work the day shift, so things are pretty hectic. I am getting used to my job, but it is a new field of work, so there are still many things that I find difficult. But it is worthwhile work, and I am trying to find ways to make customers happy as I go along. In the midst of all this, I was encouraged by the beautifully blooming cherry blossoms when I saw the cherry blossoms at night!
この頃、夜勤が担当なので帰りは23時をすぎることがほとんど。まぁ、夜勤と言っても、昼勤務もあって結構、バタバタしています。仕事は少し慣れてはきたけど、やっぱり新しい分野での仕事なので、なかなか難しいと感じることはやっぱりいっぱいあります。でも、遣り甲斐のある仕事で、どうすればお客さんに喜んでもらえるか模索しながら進んでいます。そんな中、夜桜を見るときれいに咲き誇るサクラに勇気をもらえました😆🌸

Shabu Shabu with Okan
I decided to return to Japan after being told by a former colleague that "loneliness is the worst for your health," and although I still had a lot to think about, I am glad that I did. I will think about how to go back and forth between Stockholm and Osaka in the future with my sambo. Maybe I'll start a Scandinavian grocery store to do a new bussiness🎵

「孤独が一番健康に悪い」と元同僚に言われ帰国を決意しましたが、やはり色々と考える点はありましたが、帰国してよかったと思います。今後、どのようにストックホルムと大阪を行き来するかは、サンボと考えようと思います。北欧雑貨店でも始めようかな🎵

Walking in Gamla Stan, Old Town of Stockholm, Sweden 🇸🇪
When I decided to return to Japan, I went to the old town to buy souvenirs for my mother and all my relatives. The Japanese souvenir culture is alive and well, and when I asked my mom what kind of souvenirs she wanted, she said, "Not for me, I dont need anything. Thank you though. But I think it would be good to buy for your siblings and relatives". I was thinking about it as I went around the souvenir shops in the old town, because I had no choice but to buy a gift for my mother, of course. There were Swedish Viking figurines and other knick-knacks that people would have a hard time putting down where to decorate it. Buying good souveniors is just hard.
Since I moved to Stockholm, I have often visited the old town, #GamlaStan but now I think that I will not be able to visit there as often as I could after i go back to Japan.
The old town, Gamla Stan is located in the Stockholm archipelago, and there is the Stockholm Palace on the small island. In front of the palace, there is also the Swedish parliament building. There is a big river flowing through the city, and swans and ducks were waiting for spring in the cold winter in Stockholm, swinging on the surface of the river. I watched the flock of swans and ducks on the surface of the water, thinking that they must be a group of guys who think it's a hassle to go south to winter in Stockholm. Well, Stockholm is still cold although you migrated from North. I can't wait for spring.
日本へ帰国することが決まり、母や親戚一同へのお土産を買いに旧市街まで足を運びました。日本のお土産文化は健在で、母へどんなお土産が欲しいかときくと、「私はいいが、兄弟や親戚には買うのがいいと思う」と言った事を言っていました。そう言われると、母へのプレゼントを買わないわけにもいかないので、旧市街でぐるぐるとお土産屋さんを周りながら考えていました。貰っても結局は置き場に困るスウェーデンのヴァイキングの置物や、小物はあるのですがこれといって言いお土産は見つかりませんでした。
ストックホルムに引っ越ししてからはよく遊びに来た旧市街も今後はなかなか来れないなと思うと少し旧市街を観光することにしました。
旧市街はストックホルム群島の中にあって、その小さな島にはストックホルム宮殿もあります。宮殿の前にはスウェーデン国会議事堂もあります。大きな川が流れていて、この時期は白鳥や鴨が越冬をしに川の水面に揺れながら寒い冬のストックホルムで各々に春を待っていました。ストックホルムで越冬を考えるとは、よっぽど南に行くのをめんどくさいと考えている一群なのかなと思いながら水面の白鳥と鴨の群れを眺めていました。春が待ち遠しいな。

Thai fusion food in StockholmI went to eat at a Thai restaurant attached to a nearby gas station for the first time in a very long time. The seasoning was a bit strong, just the way the local Swedes like it, and I wondered once again if people in cold regions like strong flavors. I used to come here often when I was hungry and didn't want to cook anything at home, and it is one of the most memorable places for me.
近所のガススタンドに併設されているタイ料理の店にめっちゃ久しぶりに食べに行った。ちょっと濃いめの味付けは地元のスウェーデン人好みの味付けで、やっぱり寒い地域の人は濃いめの味付けが好きなのかなぁって改めて思った。この店もおなかがすいて、家ではなにも作りたくない時とか一時期よく来たし、わたしにとっては思い出深い味の一つだなぁ。

Bon Dance
The other day, a Japanese autumn festival was held in Stockholm. Watching the authentic Bon Dance made me nostalgic for the local autumn festivals and food stalls held in Japan. I miss them. 😄
盆踊りって、英語で訳すと「Bon Dance」なのかな？ 先日、秋祭りがストックホルムで開催され、それに参加してきました。 本格的な盆踊りを観てると、日本で行われる地元の秋祭りや屋台など懐かしく思いました。

Walking with my sambo in Stockholm, Sweden
The end of the year is also a time to look back and organize what photos and videos we have taken so far. We sort through the data we have accumulated, some of which we delete, and some of which we keep in our HIVE as a diary of our most memorable moments.
This video was actually filmed in October, but I have fond memories of it when I watch it back. This place is now completely covered with snow, but two months ago it was still in the autumn.
The temperature has dropped to -2 degrees Celsius today. It is getting colder and colder, but please be careful not to catch a cold and have a good weekend!

このビデオは実際撮影されたのは１０月なのですが、ビデオを観返しているととても懐かしく思います。 今ではすっかり雪に覆われたこの場所も２か月前はまだ秋の様子が残っていました。

BlackFriday Weekend 2022
The annual ⛸skating rink opened again this year in the Royal Gardens in Stockholm. Today is the "Black Friday" weekend, so there were many people in the city. I also came to the city to do some shopping, but I was a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of people. The city was filled with Christmas lights and the twinkling lights were very beautiful.
今年もストックホルム市内にある王立庭園内に恒例の⛸スケートリンクがオープンしました。 今日は”BlackFriday”の週末なので、市内には沢山の人でにぎわっていました。 わたしも買い物をしに市内に来たのですが、あまりにもたくさんの人で少し人の多さに圧倒されました。 町はクリスマスのイルミネーションが多くなり、光のきらめきがとても綺麗でした。

But they are really not blueberries, but they are "Bilberries!!"

I went to Piccadilly Circus. It had been a long time since I had been to London, but being able to come back to visit this iconic place made me feel once again that I had returned to London. Yay! I love this city!
Piccadilly Circus is said to have an atmosphere similar to Shinjuku in Japan and Times Square in the U.S., and I thought it was a symbolic place of capitalism. A place where money gathers! It is indeed a very dynamic place, but I was a bit disgusted by it. Is this proof that I am getting older? LOL!
The companies that advertise in this iconic location are a true indication of the momentum of the company, but I felt that the absence of any Japanese-affiliated companies was indicative of the current state of Japan. Go Nippon!
ピカデリーサーカスに行ってきた～
Piccadilly Circusに行きました。 久しぶりのロンドンだったのですが、ロンドンを象徴するこの場所にまた遊びに来れて、「ロンドンに帰ってきたなぁ～」と改めて感じました。
Piccadilly Circusは日本では新宿、アメリカではTimes Squareに似た雰囲気があると言われていて、資本主義の象徴的な場所だと思いました。 金が集まる場所！と言う雰囲気があって、確かにとても勢いのある場所ではあるのですが、すこし嫌気がさしました。 これはわたしが年をとった証拠なのかな？ LOL!
この象徴的な場所でどの会社が広告をあげているかはその会社の勢いを如実に表す宣伝なのですが、日系企業が一社もなく今の日本を示しているなと感じました。 頑張れニッポン！
Jag är tillbaka i London!
Jag gick till Piccadilly Circus. Det var länge sedan jag var i London, men att få komma tillbaka och besöka denna ikoniska plats fick mig att återigen känna att jag hade återvänt till London. Yay! Jag älskar den här staden!
Piccadilly Circus sägs ha en atmosfär som liknar Shinjuku i Japan och Times Square i USA, och jag tyckte att det var en symbolisk plats för kapitalismen. En plats där pengar samlas! Det är verkligen en mycket dynamisk plats, men jag blev lite äcklad av den. Är detta ett bevis på att jag börjar bli äldre? LOL!
De företag som annonserar på denna ikoniska plats är en sann indikation på företagets dynamik, men jag tyckte att avsaknaden av japanska företag var en indikation på Japans nuvarande tillstånd. Go Nippon!

Hammarby, one of my favorite communities in Stockholm
I really long for a life with a waterfront nearby. I would love to live in a harbor town where I can see ships passing by, a beach town with a beautiful beach, or a house near a lake someday.
Being born and raised in an urban area in Japan where cars go by and crowds of people crowd the streets, I have never lived in such a relaxing space, so it is very relaxing to see swans like this one floating on the surface of the water and leisurely watching the sunset. Watching these swans as they try to make their own feathers, and I was thinking, "It's getting colder, shouldn't I be heading south soon?" I wanted to ask. To which I was as if got replied, "What's the hurry? The surface of the water is not frozen yet, and you will be fine.
I felt that sometimes it is really relaxing to take a walk, and looking at the water surface without thinking about anything else.
水面に漂うのんきな白鳥
水辺が近くにある生活ってすごく憧れます。 行き交う船が見える港町だったり、ビーチがきれいな浜辺の町だったり、湖の近くにある一軒家などはいつかは生活してみたいなと思う空間です。
車が行きかい、人込みに埋もれた日本で都市部で生まれ育つとそういった心が落ち着く空間で生活したことがないため、このような水面に浮かんでのんびりと夕日を眺めている白鳥などを見るととてもリラックスさせられます。 自分の羽をつくろうその白鳥の姿を見ていると、「寒くなってきたけど、そろそろ南に渡らなくていいの？」と聞きたくなりました。そう思うわたしに対して、「何をそんなに急いでるの？まだ水面は凍ってないし、大丈夫だよ」と諭される思いがしました。
たまにはゆっくりそれと言って何も考えず、リラックスして水面を眺めながら散歩するって本当に癒されるなぁと感じました。

A cute bear walking around before hibernation
I recently saw a bear at the zoo in Skansen. Depending on the day I go there, the animals I see are mixed (every time you visit there, you see many other animals), but on this particular day, I was able to see bears, which was rare.
We were able to see a total of three bears, but one bear remained asleep and did not move at all, perhaps because it was eating a lot of food before hibernation. It was very cute to see him lying on the ground with his arms and legs stretched out. It was a very cute bear, but it was so big that I thought I would be surprised if I actually met it in the forest.
I think it is increasingly important to create a natural environment where bears and humans can coexist.
冬眠前のクマちゃん🐻
先日、スカンセンにある動物園で熊を見てきました。 行く日によっては見える動物がまちまちなのですが、この日は珍しく熊に会えました。
合計３匹の熊を見ることが出来たのですが、冬眠前にたくさんの食べ物を食べているのが原因なのか、１匹の熊は寝たまま全然動きませんでした。 手足を伸ばして地面に寝そべっている姿はとてもかわいかったです。 こうしてみるととてもかわいい熊なのですが、実際に森で出会うとびっくりするだろうなと思うぐらいの大きさでした。
このような熊と人間が共存できる自然を作ることが今後ますます大切だなと思いました。
