I'm Sarah... living through dark paths with assured light. I love darkness...Yeah, I won't find fireflies in great light.Will i even see them? And you know how beautiful they are...So, don't judge me! I think darkness is essential. There wouldn't be light if it never existed. Okay, enough about darkness for now... I'm Sarah, an Herald. I love mental health.Unfortunately, not everyone know what that means! I may not be able to get you to understand what it means because... I'm not here to define words to the ignorant. Nor teach little kids how to play soccer... I remind. I am here to remind the lost of how far they have gone and how near God is. I'm here to remind the different that there are great abilities in disabilities.That God reasons before creating... I'm here to remind the lonely and depressed that "God isn't distant."... I'm here to help others walk through dark paths with assured light. Assured Light? Ask mother Earth. She had her own taste of darkness before light came. Mother Earth wouldn't have survived that darkness if she didn't have an Herald, the Spirit which moved around her. The Spirit of Hope.Well, This Spirit still exists. "It's so much easy to look but very hard to see.
They say; "Look up and live!", I did and found nothing but blue skies whose misery had made it lose some of its colors.
Just as I have lost mine..."
God isn't ordinary, so looking up to Him shouldn't be ordinary, right?
When Moses asked the Israelites to "look up", The pole which he held had the same serpent that bit them.
The same serpent!
The serpent they supposedly dreaded and wished so much to kill.
That was what they had to see, to live.
Isn't that crazy enough to be classed "extraordinary"?
You're not always gonna have what you want while looking up to God.
You're not always gonna see what you wanna see while looking up to God.
The sky isn't gonna change it's face because you have chosen to look up.
You're not guaranteed a life free of struggles because you look of to Him.
It's more of the spiritual.
Here,
You're not seeing the blue skies that has lost his "blueness".
You are seeing a future which only your Creator knows about.
An assurance.
A reason.
A hope.
His promises.
His love
His care.
His glory.
His light.
His peace.
His freedom.
His safe.
It's like looking into the eyes of a lover. It gets really hard to look away. Emotions, butterflies...
Those feelings weren't just ignited by His eyes or Her eyes but something beyond that.
That How looking unto God is.
Because you know He is the one for you.
He is mighty enough to save you.
You don't wanna look away.
You don't see the skies but a master who holds your hands and promises that you will be fine.
And will not God bring about justice for his chosen ones, who cry out to him day and night?
Will he keep putting them off?
I tell you, he will see that they get justice, and quickly. However, when the Son of Man comes, will he find faith on the earth?”
Luke 18:7-8 NIV
Hold onto Jesus.
Do not faint.
May the peace of God be with us as we look unto Him, in Jesus' Name.
Amen.
Truly, learning to deal with discouragement is one step at fulfilling life. We can't always have what we expect but we can always choose what happens next.
Taking it right from the last episode, we would be discuss the three R's of tackling Discouragements.
Review. Redefine. Remember.
🥀 REVIEW YOUR EXPECTATIONS
Taking a longer view of your expectations helps you discern two things. One, if your expectations is really realistic (or might need some amendments 😅)
Two, if your expectations needs some more time. (Most time our limit for some of our expectations are just too short.)
🥀 REVIEW YOUR MOTIVATIONS
Wait a minute, are you working hard for the rewards or for the comments? Are you working the hardest to get noticed by someone or to actually get something done?
If your motivation are based on the rewards and other external benefits, then you may always get disappointed and DISCOURAGED. Review your MOTIVATIONS.
🥀 REDEFINE YOUR RULES
We all have internal rules. Those circumstances that must be present for us to feel happy. Most times these rules are made in our subconscious mind and they may end up leading to a mental breakdown when we don't attain those circumstances. Redefine your rule. "My best is enough for me. I don't always have to be the best, I'll just do my best." I think this is a better rule.
🥀 REMEMBER YOUR WHY, REMEMBER YOUR VISION
Why did you embark on this project in the first place? Why did you choose to study this in the first place? REMEMBER your first hand motivation. Your first hand goal. What is the bigger picture. Where do you want to go with this? Remember your "reason" gives that lost strength and encouragement to rise up again and face life. Also living in your visions, I mean imagining them and living in the reality of it, eases the hurt of Discouragements.
