First Republic Bank bites the dust. JPMorgan Chase picked up the assets of First Republic Bank via an FDIC negotiated deal apparently in the early morning hours of May 1, 2023. With this acquisition, Chase an east coast bank now has a considerable presence in the Silicon Valley area of California. While Chase already has a presence in California, this Silicon Valley Deal changes things in a big way for Chase.
First Republic Bank is in trouble…real trouble with the FEDS poised to step in any day now. It is highly likely that the FDIC will step in taking the troubled bank into receivership and selling off its assets asap to keep jittery markets from reacting.
So it’s official former President Trump has been indicted based primarily on the situation with Stormy Daniels. Also, the Manhattan district attorney mixed in some charges with respect to Trump’s business dealings. This podcast, unlike other discussions, looks at the central issues from a bird’s eye view regarding what is, what is not, and what is to follow.
UBS acquires Credit Suisse for well below its market value in a deal put together by the Switzerland government. Oh what about the $200 billion…oops did I spill the beans.
