Jacque Basile was born in Cleveland, OH and relocated to Palm Beach, Florida with her family in grade school. After attending Palm Beach State College she then got her Real Estate License and began a career in Real Estate with a nationwide luxury home builder.

Jacque first learned of her passion for the fine details of event planning when she planned her own wedding over 15 years ago!

She and her husband have two beautiful daughters, Gianna age 14, and Isabella, age 12 who are definitely keeping them on their toes.

WHAT WE CHAT ABOUT:

When you find yourself feel exhausted, hyper-emotional, physically ill from stress, you must stop and reconsider your daily processes. Below are three seemingly easy tasks to help set you in a better direction, don't overlook them! Incorporate them (incorporate YOU) into you calendar:

1. Meditate (or Don't)
   Find a quiet place away from distractions, and do what feels best for your soul in that moment. You can meditate, or can just 'be'. You can stretch, or lie down. You can journal a "brain dump", or listen to calming music. You can hug yourself, and repeat loving affirmations (cheesy but effective!). Maybe drink an ice cold water, or a hot cup of tea. Whatever feels good, whatever you need in those moments.
   While this might feel strange at first, over time you will look forward to this time with yourself everyday. It is the most rejuvenating practice and offers your mind peace.
   I personally love to use the Calm app, which offers guided meditation, soothing music, and more.

2. Evaluate Your Sleep
   How are you sleeping these days? Sleep is the way our body heals and recharges to take on the next day. Without adequate sleep, your mood, attention span, immune system, all suffer. A few questions to ask yourself to improve your sleep patterns:
   How many hours do you sleep? I was getting 6 hours, though I function exceptionally better on 7 hours. Everyone has their sweet spot and it's okay to take a few days to figure yours out.
   When you wake up, do you feel stiffness in your body? This is an indication that your bed and/or pillow could use an update. If your body is spending the night fighting with your mattress, you are surely going to feel tired throughout your day.
   What are you doing before bed? Are you scrolling on social media, binge-watching the latest season, eating sugary snacks, drinking alcohol? Indulging in your vices can set you far off track and even encourage staying up too late. Take note of how you are calming your mind and body before bed, make the changes, and enjoy more energy and more productive days ahead.

3. Ask for Help
   As entrepreneurs we often feel like we must do everything on our own. We take on the weight of our families, friends, our business, our clients; our own needs fall last.
   When the whirlwind of our lives becomes too much, it's important we lean on life's resources to lighten the load. Hiring someone to help with household chores, reaching out for therapy and guidance, signing on a professional to assist with the business tasks you don't enjoy.
   And while most will say "I wish I could afford that", I ask "can you afford not to"? By freeing your mind of the chores and tasks that aren't serving your vision, you will have more time and energy to focus on growth in yourself and your business. Using your resources = more time for income producing activities = you can afford it!

If you are ever feeling like your world is out of balance, I encourage you to revisit this blog as guidance. Many entrepreneurs find themselves full circle into the burn-out depression that they were running from when they left their prior career. It's easy to blame yourself and admit defeat in the moment, but it's much harder to live in it long term. So take the time often to reflect on your self care and business strategy, your future self will cheers you!
