Join writer Dave Hendrick and artist Ben Hennessy as they ask guests from the world of comic books and beyond “What’s your favorite apocalypse?”
Be it the destruction of Pompeii, the cancellation of a beloved tv show, or just your common or garden asteroid, Dave and Ben find out that everyone’s world ends a little differently.

For our Xmas ep we interviewed my older bro - here’s the blurb;
Brother Richard Hendrick is a priest-friar of the Irish branch of the Capuchin Franciscan Order (as well as Dave’s actual older brother!) For over 20 years he has worked to bring the insights of the Christian Contemplative tradition to greater public awareness, particularly with reference to modern Mindfulness theory. He’s served as director of Youth Ministry for the Irish Capuchins for over ten years.He has also worked in hospital and prison relief chaplaincy roles and in parish work.
He is currently a member of the Church St community and Parish Priest in Halston St Church in Dublin’s north inner city.
He came by to talk to us about his cryptid theory, sudden internet stardom and his favourite apocalypse which both served to scare and surprise a young Ben Hennessy back in the day!

In a special pre Thoughtbubble episode (where we’ll be doing our first ever live show!) we meet Chloe Green, one of the three (that’s right there’s only three of them!) festival directors! Chloe’s been hard at work with her colleagues putting the UK’s largest comic book featival and convention together - a job that as you’ll hear never really ends. Not only that but Chloe’s a creator too with a couple of books to her name. We talk life’s strange path (from bank desks to festival floors) and the rather unique bingo based game that helped her and her friends pass the time while in lockdown (hint it’s very apocalyptic-y).

Will Sliney
Hailing from the picturesque East Cork seaside town of Ballycotton, Will Sliney hit the professional comics world like a tidal wave with an acclaimed run on Farscape which he quickly followed up with stints on Marvel books Fearless Defenders and Spider-Man 2099. Closer to home he wrote and drew Celtic Warrior: The Legend Of Cu Chulainn a stunning retelling of the ancient Irish myth.
His adventures in a galaxy far, far away have seen him tangle with bounty hunters, Jedi Knights, Sith Lords and the occasional scruffy looking nerf herder. His work on the Star Wars book The Rise of Kylo Ren saw him and writer Charles Soule tell Ben Solo’s tragic back story, not only that but he got to design a major Star Wars character in Ren.
He’s currently the co-creator of Image Comics smash hit Hell To Pay, again with Charles Soule on writing duties. This ongoing series tells the story of two married adventurers given the impossible task of buying their way out of an infernal debt.
Outside of comics Will has forged a massively successful career in TV, with his Draw With Will series on Sky Television and his “Will Sliney’s Storytellers” series on RTE Television in Ireland. Will’s become ubiquitous in the art for children and his philosophy that art is a skill to be learned not a talent that only some are born with has opened up the world of art to millions of kids across Ireland and Europe.
We caught up with him earlier in the year to discuss his plans for 2023 and of course his favorite apocalypse.
