This is my series that I post as I earn enough merits through brawls to buy
gladius cases and unlock gladius cards.
I managed to save up enough merits to buy three cases this time around,
I was going to just do another two case pull but my awesome guild L1L Dawgs Elite pulled out an epic first place win for us earning 2154 Merits and got me the extra case to pull on this recording.
Case one yielded Alfredo (new) and Katrelba Gobson that i was happy to see a second copy of. Katrelba is a sneaker with double strike, this can be most useful if you are able to catch the opponent off guard and they are not expecting it, I have seen attack one strip the armor and attack two kill giving the bloodlust buff.
Case two was still nice but not as exciting; bertrol gobson and cutter brieze were the new ones. Bertrol could make a nice addition with the opportunity skill may be able to pop some low mana monsters and grow fast. And cutter being one mana is a nice filler.
Case three gives another Katrelba, as well as a sarius and Relenor Cleaver (new). Relenor is a nice reach monster that makes a decent secondard tank.
I am excited to experiment with these new toys in future guild brawls.

End of Season rewards for March 15, 2022. This is on 2 free to play accounts one rents for 0.3 dec a day. Mainly getting credits and since I didn't playthis one as often right now those small rewards do add up to increasing power on those accounts slowly which is what my goal is.
I did decide to play the second one a bit more again this season as a tester. Got the rent down to 16 dec a day, which is a 8 dec a day drop over last season. The wins in silver were covering the rental costs; this is great because of the increased chance at cards, dec rewards and chance at packs in the EOS chests.
The third is one(which is the first in the video) that i have invested some money in and lots more of my time, it rents about 145 dec a day this go around again as I made my third push into gold league; this was a value maintain since last season. This one gets much better reward as gold has more chests and increased pack chances. Over all even a small initial investment gets you to higher ranks and gives you an increased power creap. I am pretty happy with my runs this season as it shows tremendous growth in the abilities I am developing in my game play.

This is my series that I post as I earn enough merits through brawls to buy
gladius cases and unlock gladius cards.
I managed to save up enough merits to buy two cases this time around,
I tell you it's easier said than done to sit on those merits for even 2 cases
when you are really looking for those gladius cards.
Pack one yielded Quora Towershead and Katrelba Gobson that i was most
excited to see. Both being earth and before this pack I had no earth gladius.
Quora being epic for some nice power boost, plus the two attack types
of magic and melee open lots of doors plus the self heal makes her a very
tough opponent.
Katrelba is a sneaker with double strike, this can be most useful if you are
able to catch the opponent off guard and they are not expecting it, I have
seen attack one strip the armor and attack two kill giving the bloodlust
buff.
Pack two was still nice but not as exciting; Orella Abadon and Chimney
Wallstop.
Orella is a nice low 2 mana sneak card for fire, with tarsa boost to the
existing 2 damage could possibly make this card a force to be reconed
with expecially in lower mana matches.
Chimney on the other hand is an absolute beast, yes he is a common
card (took me 6 cases to find him) but I have been waiting for him for
awhile, coupled with grum flameblade in certain matches will be
unstopable.
I am excited to experiment with these new toys in future guild brawls.

The third is one that i have invested some money in and lots more of my
time, it rents about 145 dec a day this go around as I made my second push into gold league and a 70 dec rental reduction over last season. This one gets much better reward as gold has more chests and increased pack chances. Over all even a small initial investment gets you to higher ranks and gives you an increased power creap. I am pretty happy with my runs this season as it shows tremendous growth in the abilities I am developing in my game play.

All in all I am pretty happy with my runs this season as it shows tremendous growth in the abilities I am developing in my game play.

For this video I open my 4th gladius case. I love these as it satisfies some
of the itch for pack openings, but is also so much more satisfying to be
honest as they do take a fair amount of work to earn.
I end up with a new rare and epic out of the gladius case.
Rare : Ajax Lightfoot (life)
Epic Edith Emberstar(water)
Then as I still feel lucky I decide to open two chaose packs and on the
second pull Legionaire ALvar which is one of the legendaries that I didn't
have any of yet. So all in all a good pull session and don't regret it at all.

time, it rents about 100 dec a day; I have increased my rental since last season as i wanted to see how high I could push myself; I still have a ways to go before i can be rental free and stay up in the points for ladder. This one gets much better rewards
as silver gets a 50% chance to drop cards. Over all even a small initial
investment gets you to higher ranks and gives you an increased power
creap.

I decided to make this video because i always see people poopooing grum flameblade. Now yes he is crazy slow, but also crazy OP if you learn which rulesets make him shine; this to me means don't just throw him in there and expect a hard carry every time.
I find him best in Reverse Speed, Melee only, Opportunity, Melee can attack from anywhere and Super Sneak. Generally Opportunity and Super sneak is where i feel he shines the most. This is because you can send some slightly faster units (at the start) to soften up any small armor on the units before grum hits, but once he does get a couple of kills under his belt his speed rises and he becomres a steam roller.
Here I showcase a melee only with opportunity even against a lorna shine was not a match for this ruleset. So like i said he is situational and not the be all end all of fire, but he is one of my favorite units being so much fun and surprise with the right compliment in the ruleset.

This is a video of me checking airdrop cards on my splinterlands account
as well as opening my second gladius case.
So excited for this pull as i actually got a gold foil legendary with only
369 packs purchased. Most may be critical of my move after but i did sell
her on the market to acquire other cards for my deck. I weighed my options and decided that functional deck power was better for me than the 12500 power that a gold foil legendary gives me; summoners are more important to the overall expansion of the playability of my decks, thank you splinterlands for the luck in the airdrop RNJesus was with me today.
The Gladius case was not a disappointment either with a gold foil and an epic, both of which were new to my deck and lets face it just free power that is also what hedged my decision to sell.

I was able to afford a gladius case finally and decided to video opening
it up. Since one case opening isn't that exciting I also decide to open the
loney 4 Chaos Legion packs that i have in stock as well.
I have been very fortunate to be part of L1L Dawgs guild, check them out
as we occasionally have openings.
For those that can't find guilds right away, i strongly recommend entering
some of the cheaper tournaments to get a feel for what guild brawls feel
like, there are always plenty in the events tab; I know Clove71 hosts at
least three a week and these are a great learning launch point.
I really look forward to using these gladius cards in brawls as i have
encountered a few in battles thus far and they can greatly turn the
tide to your teams favor.

The experiment continues
With the release of chaos legion i have found it a lot less profitable to rent
my way into silver league than previously. Until i figure out the mest meta
to use I will have to stick it out in bronze on these free to play accounts;
but can at least show progression with them over the long haul.
1st account i spend 10 DEC per day on rentals which is currently operating
at a loss as compared to before and with a meager $0.30 of value from the
cards that were pulled in the reward chest i will definately need to figure
out a system for combat to hold and justify expenditures in silver.
2nd account spends a meager 1 DEC per day; and even though the chest
rewards were less fulfilling than that of the first account, it does hold its
own in regards to the battles paying for the rentals i am using.
I think this is going to be valuable knowledge in the fact that i can show
new players that you don't need deep pockets to grow in splinterlands,
just a strong desire and a willingness to put time in along with a ton
of patience and the progression will happen over time.

I actively run three accounts as i love splinterlands.
I made this video showing mostly the two alt accounts as i call them.
Each only costs 50-60 dec for their rentals in order to stay competetively
in silver3. Though the rewards seem trivial right now, over time they will
add up, and just from battling/playing them actively they are able to pay
for their own rentals and stay self sustaining.
This shows with determination and your own time you can play at an ok
reward level and have it not cost you any money.
