So in the last video I talked about buying the 48 inch monitor. This is a huge monitor. Yes playing games on it will look and feel amazing. Yes moves are going to look great. However, practically, make sure you take some measurements otherwise you might regret buying.
First things first - it's a already huge monitor inside a even bigger box. Watch the video for the dimensions of the box. Will it fit in your car? It barely fit in my Hyundai i20 hatch which allows me to lower the back seats to make more room in the trunk.
Secondly, how do you transport the monitor safely to your home? yes it is in a box but you want to be able to lift the box without breaking your back or dropping it. If you park your car far from your house, you might need some way of transporting it to your house. Or pay for delivery which will undoubtedly add to the cost.
Thirdly, do you have a big enough desk for a 48 inch monitor? Because the monitor legs is almost as wide as the monitor, if your desk isn't wide enough you won't be able to even put the monitor on your desk. You can see from my video that my desk is just big enough for this monitor.

Hey all. This is the most expensive display I have ever purchased in my life. A lot of you must be wondering - what happened to the Magic Monk who saves all his money and doesn't buy anything expensive? This is a monitor just over $1000 AUD. My last monitor was only $284 AUD. What happened?
In the video I will explain the full story. It started in November last year, when I bought the Xbox series X. I then went through a whole series of monitors in order to best utilise the capabilities of this console. Basically none of the monitors I have already had OLED 4K 120Hz HDMI 2.1.
I also tried buying a cheaper monitor which was good enough, but I just didn't feel satisfied. I am still using that monitor in another room as a backup for if I need to do office work, but for gaming I believe this monitor is what I need.

Hi everyone, in the last Lost Ark controller tutorial we talked about how to use the controller for character movement and combat related actions, such as drinking potions and dodging, but we didn't have time to talk about questing.
In this video we will cover the following with the use of a controller. Normally people play with keyboard and mouse, but I have to play with a controller otherwise I get sore shoulders/wrists/fingers (RSI).
- Talking to NPCs - how to start the conversation, how to continue and end the conversation
- How to start / end quests.
- How to read the map and find where to go next for a quest.
- Pick up / interact with objects.
- How to summon / unsummon pets.
- How to make pets pick up objects.

Hey all. As you know I've started playing Lost Ark. I cannot believe this 75GB game is free to play. Lots of awesome stories, character, skills, graphics, and everything else an MMORPG can offer. For a Diablo/WoW fan, the greatest thing about this game is that you can play it with a controller. I used to play World of Warcraft with a controller but only using a third party software like Joypad or something.
The cool thing about Lost Ark is that it already has controller support, so you don't need a third party software to map keyboard / mouse to your controller, you can do it all by default. I loved Diablo but I was annoyed to have to click the mouse all the time to attack (I get sore fingers and shoulders), so with this game I can simply play with the controller.
I've seen a few tutorials on how to play Lost Ark with a controller, but they seem to be slightly older versions with a different interface and default buttons. I thought I'd also make one with the gamepadviewer.com app so you can see the exact buttons and timings without me having to film my hands on the controller.

So I have always had my Windows operating system on a 256GB SSD. As I have installed many programs on it over the years, and I've just upgraded from windows 10 to 11, it is getting to be a bit full and taking a long time to do stuff because there are too many junk files on it.
So I've decided to no longer delay the inevitable and do a full reset of Windows 11. However, I cannot simply reinstall Windows on this same sized SSD anymore, because I will simply run into the same problem after a while. So I decided to buy a 1TB SSD and re-install my Windows onto that. The SSD I bought is Crucial BX500 1TB 3D NAND SATA 2.5in SSD which only cost me $85 AUD ($63 USD).
After buying the SSD, I decided to completely remove my old SSD and put in my new SSD. This means that when the computer boots up, it will not detect an operating system at all. To install a Windows onto the new SSD means that you will need to save the operating system onto a USB. You can download a Windows 11 bootable disc from the Microsoft website - all steps showing in this video.
After I installed the Windows operating system onto the new SSD, it's always a bit scary whether it will pick up my old product key, because I don't know my product key and couldn't enter it. Fortunately, after some careful clicking, I got it to recognise which omputer I'm using so it activated Windows on its own without me having to enter the product key. Yay.

Hey guys, I'm going to be talking about the game Lost Ark a bit, because it is a free game and we talk about free games here! Isn't it good game is free? So anyone can play it (you don't have to be rich!)
Who would have thought a free game would be 75GB? There is so much content on Lost Ark, it's no wonder why it's huge. My SSD is only 256GB, so the game doesn't fit on the SSD. I had no choice but to install it on a 8TB HDD. I timed how long it took to run the game and it took 3min10sec to load.
That is simply crazy. I mean, if you only run the game once it's okay. But imagine if you play the game 10 times. That's half an hour of your life gone just by sitting in front of the monitor waiting! I had to do something about it. So I replaced my SSD on my C drive from 256GB to a 1TB SSD. I will make another video on how I managed to transfer my Windows 11 over.
However, back to this video. I had to move the game from D drive (my 8TB HDD) to C drive (1TB SSD) because I didn't want to download the whole thing again! Even though I have fast internet, it will take a while to download and install a 75GB game.
So I timed the loading time again and it was down to 1 minute 49 seconds. That is a reduction of 1min21 seconds, which is 42.63% (rounded up to 43%) of my original loading time.
Summary is if you have Lost Ark stored on a HDD, move it to a SSD now, otherwise you will be sitting in front of your computer for much longer than you have to..

This might come as a bit of a shock, but after I did a fresh install of windows 11, .mp4 files cannot be opened natively without downloading another app. It is probably the most common video format, so I had to download VLC player to open them, which does a great job.
However, I then later discovered another thing missing - when I am displaying the files, I can only see the traffic cone icon by VLC - it doesn't show the contents of video files in a thumbnail. That is really annoying as when I have hundreds of video files with their default file names (usually made up of just the date), I will have to open up each one of them to see which video it is.
So I started googling / youtubing for a solution. Most videos I saw pointed to ticking / unticking a few boxes in Control panel settings and folder options in file explorer, however none of them fixed the problem. Watch the video to see how I solved it!

Before I upgraded from Windows 10 to Widnows 11, I had Microsoft Office installed and it was working fine. However, after I upgraded to Windows 11, I noticed that when I search for any Office apps in the start menu (e.g. Word, Excel, Powerpoint etc) it can no longer find it. I originally thought that I don't have Office installed anymore. However I tried to open a Office file and I can still open it. So the issue is simply that Windows can't find the app in the start menu.

Last video you saw that my Google Pixel 4a 5G suddenly did not respond to touch properly. It was an 11 month old phone so luckily this happened before the warranty expired. I took it to the store where I bought it from (JB HiFi Ipswich). The sales consultant was very friendly. He tried to do a factory reset for me but unfortunately the phone didn't respond to any touch at all so he couldn't do it. He then filled out some paperwork and took my phone in.
A week and a half later, I got an email from JB HiFi saying that I can come pick up the phone. After I got there and waited a little, they told me that my phone was replaced under warranty, so I didn't have to pay any money. I saw that there was the word "refurbished" on the new box that they gave me, so I was slightly concerned. But after I went home and opened it up, I saw that the phone looks and operates just like new.
I checked the operating system of my new phone and it said Android 12. So I didn't have to update it again, thank god! Thank you JB HiFi and Google for giving me a new phone. The battery on it also works just like new, so I'm guessing it must have a new battery & screen, even though it says refurbished. So yes my phone works again yay.

I bought my Google Pixel 4A 5G last year on March 20 (2021). Since it hasn't been a year yet, I'm glad this problem occurred before the warranty period expired. I am not sure what caused it, but all I can remember is doing an Android 12 update recently. I don't recall doing anything else specific with it recently. Suddenly the touch screen sensitivity got really bad after the update. I discovered this when I tried to send someone a message and could barely type. After that I also noticed that I can't pinch zoom in or out with Google Maps, which means something is seriously wrong with the phone.
I don't like doing this as it's a lot of work, but I proceeded to back up all of my data to my google drive and then did a factory reset. I'm glad I have a Google One membership which gives me a bit more online space to backup data. After doing the factory reset and restoring all my data, I tried to go to google maps again and check whether I can zoom in and out by pinching. Again it will not do it. So my only solution now is to take the phone back to the shop.

It's the end of my third year starting indoor rock climbing at Urban Climb, West End. Here is a quick comparison of my climbing between the end of 2019 and 2021. In the video on the left, you can see that in Oct 2019 I had already climbed for almost a year, so I have just started doing "green" climbs (I guess you can say it's about a 5.10a to 5.10c using the American climbing grading system).
I have consistently done green climbs in the last 2 years and I have gotten pretty smooth at it, as you can see in the video on the right, I managed to complete the climb in around the same time when the wall was a lot taller. Earlier this year I did get some elbow / shoulder injuries which held me back a lot, otherwise I would be doing red climbs (about 5.11 to 5.12).
I guess I'm pretty comfortable on greens now so I might be pushing on reds soon, but my experience tells me to just take it easy as when I push too hard is usually when injuries happen. Enjoy the comparison!

2021 was a funny year for me for climbing - first half of the year I was improving very fast - completing a couple of reds in the gym, doing pull ups at home and lost a whole bunch of excess fat. Then in July I injured my elbow / shoulder and as a result cut back on exercising, lost all my strength and gained all the excess fat back while I was sitting at home feeling sorry for myself. To conclude the year I have now got back to where I was when the year started - being able to do a green at the gym. In 2022 I will progress slowly and not rush things. I will focus on my climbing technique, enjoy my time on the wall and slowly improve at a comfortable pace.

A couple of days ago when I was playing a game on my PC, suddenly my computer restarted and when I got back into Windows, I noticed that one of my hard drives has totally disappeared!! I won't name the company that built the hard drive, but it was a 1TB M.2 SSD! I thought these things would last for years as when i bought it, it actually had a 5 year manufacturer's warranty. But now that I have to do is take the SSD back to the computer shop and go through a lot of trouble for something that is $130 AUD.
Okay I kind of went on a tangent but back to the main point of the video. Since the hard drive storing my Adobe Apps are gone, naturally I have to re-install Adobe onto another hard drive. So when I launched the Creative Cloud app and tried to install Premiere Pro, After Effects etc. on my main hard drive, it won't let me!! It kept saying "Unable to install on a network drive". But I am not trying to install on a network drive! It turns out that Adobe has no idea that my hard drive is gone so it probably is confused about where the program has gone and is still trying to put it back in the same place.
In order to fix this problem, I had to download a creative cloud cleaner tool, and follow the instructions on this page to clean up the creative cloud settings in the registry. eBay sent me a very nice reminder email today to remind me that I'm about to renew my membership for another year. This is very thoughtful as I don't think many other companies do that. eBay could have just taken the money out of my credit card but they didn't, so I appreciate it. I am basically using eBay Plus for the extra discount and free delivery sometimes but in my mind a lot of things I buy are usually discounted without eBay plus and have free delivery anyway (this is only my impression). So I was going to quit it and boom, eBay pops up a message asking if I want a $30 gift card. This changes everything as the membership was originally $49, so I am effectively only paying $19 per year for membership. This makes it worth it as I remember sometimes there will be some items totally free through eBay plus, such as some USB-C cables or micro SD cards, not to mention the occasional free delivery / discount codes only available to eBay plus members. Therefore I stayed. Are you using this feature too?

Recently I left my headlights on at night time by accident, so my car battery was completely drained. After the battery was recharged, of course the radio stopped working, and wants you to enter a radio code before it will work again. The funny thing is I have never had to enter the radio code, as the last time this happened, I drove to the Hyundai service centre to get a new battery and they fixed the radio for me when they gave me the car back. This time I did not go to Hyundai so I had to enter the radio code myself.
Unfortunately last time they did it, I did ask them what the radio code was, so the code is saved storely on my computer. So this time I just had to google how to enter radio code for Hyundai i20. Guess what - I cannot find it! It was not mentioned in the user manual either. I did find some general instructions for Hyundai cars for radio code, so I used that and it worked!
