YAG member Josh introduces us to Financial Counsellor, Vanessa, who tells us about her role supporting young people to take control of their money, make the most of their income, and some tricky tips to find out how you can get on top of it all.

Money worries are escalating as the cost of living grows, and financial counsellors provide FREE services to everyone (not just young people). They can get debt collectors off your back, help you find the best way to use your money, or help you access welfare support and crisis support (like if there's just not enough cash for your essentials).

This episode is a must listen for every person who's ever thought that they could do with a few more dollars.

Want to get support from your very own Financial Counsellor? (remember, they're free of charge!) Call the National Debt Helpline on 1800 007 007 (even if you're not in debt and just want to chat money).

This episode does include personal stories of mental ill-health and mention of alcohol and drug use and gambling, as well as statistics that include data about suicide. If this is likely to be distressing for you or anyone else that might be listening, please feel free to skip this episode!
