The Book of Galatians: Stand Fast in GraceExplore the Book of Galatians with Brother Jeremy Puckett in this vital 23-part teaching series, which addresses the perennial threat to the Christian faith: the deception of adding works of the Law to the grace of Christ. This series establishes the singular, unchanging nature of the true Gospel and provides a deep doctrinal foundation for understanding justification by faith, contrasting it sharply with the "yoke of bondage" imposed by legalism.Key Doctrinal Focus: Grace vs. Works (Galatians 1-4)A Cursed Gospel: Understand the immense gravity of preaching a corrupted message. Paul, demonstrating his Apostolic authority received directly through divine revelation, pronounces anyone teaching a different gospel as "accursed".• Abraham, the Pattern of Faith: The series uses the example of Abraham—the father of the faithful—to prove that justification has always been by belief alone.• The Purpose of the Law: Learn the precise, temporary function of the Law: it was "added because of transgressions" until Christ, serving as a "school Master" to bring us to faith, never intended as a means to obtain life or justification.• From Bondage to Sonship: Discover the privileges of the New Covenant. Through Christ, believers receive the "adoption of sons" and the indwelling Holy Spirit, the "spirit of adoption," confirming their status as heirs of God. The allegory of Hagar (Law) and Sarah (Grace) is explained as the scriptural imperative to "cast out the bondwoman and her son" and reject legalistic error.Practical Christian Living: The Walk in the Spirit (Galatians 5-6)The final lessons transition into the practical application of Christian liberty and service:• Stand Fast in Liberty: Believers are commanded to "Stand Fast" in the liberty secured by the Cross, ensuring this freedom is not used for an "occasion to the flesh," but rather to "by love serve one another".• The Crucified Life: The heart of Christian conduct is revealed through the direct opposition between the "works of the flesh" (manifest sins such as adultery, idolatry, envy, and drunkenness) and the singular, nine-fold "fruit of the Spirit" (love, joy, peace, patience, etc.). True believers "have crucified the flesh with the affections and lusts", requiring daily submission and mortification to the Spirit’s control.• Correction and Service: The series provides instruction on proper church conduct, including the need for those who are spiritual to "restore such an one in the spirit of meekness" if a brother is "overtaken in a fault," stressing that restoration necessitates repentance.• Sowing and Reaping: Finally, the teaching underscores the universal principle that "whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap". Sowing to the flesh yields corruption, while sowing to the Spirit yields life everlasting. This comprehensive overview is essential for anyone seeking to understand the purity of the Gospel, assert the sufficiency of Christ's work, and commit to a life empowered by the Holy Spirit.

In this powerful continuation of the Galatians series, Bro. Puckett walks us through Galatians 5:19–25, contrasting the works of the flesh with the fruit of the Spirit.

He outlines the battle every believer faces:

  • The flesh produces sin—lust, pride, division, and indulgence
  • The Spirit produces fruit—love, joy, peace, patience, and more
  • The two are contrary, and only one can lead

Bro. Puckett emphasizes that walking in the Spirit isn’t mystical—it’s about surrender, control, and daily obedience. He challenges us to crucify the flesh with its affections and lusts, and to walk in the Spirit with intentionality and humility.

He also addresses:

  • Assurance of salvation through persuasion and proof
  • The danger of feeding the flesh and doubting your standing
  • How to cultivate spiritual fruit through submission and Scripture meditation

📅 Recorded September 3, 2023 at Central Baptist Church🎯 Part of the Galatians Series: “Stand Fast, Run Well, Walk in the Spirit, Bear the Fruit”

Subscribe for more doctrinally sound, spiritually rich teaching that equips believers to live out their faith with clarity and conviction. Let the Spirit lead—and let the fruit show.

Bro. Puckett’s message draws from Matthew and supporting passages to explore the nature of eternal life—not as something earned, but inherited by adoption. Through vivid contrasts between the Rich Young Ruler, the lawyer, and true sons of God, we’re reminded that salvation is not transactional—it’s relational. Jesus exposes the impossibility of earning eternal life and reveals that only those born again by faith are heirs of the Kingdom. The message also introduces the concept of dispensations, showing how God has dealt with mankind through different ages, culminating in the fullness of time when Christ came to redeem us. We are no longer under tutors and governors, but placed as sons in the new spiritual economy.

Join us for our Wednesday Night Prayer & Bible Study, led by Bro Matt Pautz, with insightful notes provided by Gerald Rankin. This week, we delve deeply into Psalms 73, a powerful passage where David contemplates the goodness of God and grapples with the seeming prosperity of the wicked.

  • Verses 1-2: David starts by affirming the goodness of God. He then admits his own struggle, feeling as though his faith is slipping.
  • Verse 3: David expresses his envy and confusion about why the wicked seem to prosper.
  • Verses 4-10: David observes the wrongful actions of the lost world. Despite their sins, they appear to escape punishment.
  • Verse 11: The world mocks and scoffs at God, questioning His omniscience and justice.
  • Verse 12: The more wicked they become, the more they seem to prosper. This prosperity is a constant source of frustration for David.
  • Verses 16-17: David finds the burden of understanding too painful until he enters the sanctuary of God. In God's presence, he gains clarity about the ultimate fate of the wicked.
  • Verse 18: The truth about the destiny of the wicked is revealed. Their end is one of destruction.
  • Verses 19-20: The realization of their sudden and complete downfall.
  • Verses 21-22: David reflects on his own foolishness and ignorance before he entered God's sanctuary.
  • Verses 23-24: Despite his doubts, David acknowledges that God is always with him, guiding and supporting him.
  • Verses 25-26: David's heartfelt declaration of his desire for God above all else, even when his flesh and heart fail.
  • Verses 27-28: The contrast between the fate of those far from God and the nearness of God being his refuge.

Reflection:In our backslidden state, we often envy the apparent success of the wicked, forgetting the eternal perspective. God’s mercy endures forever, offering salvation to a lost world through Christ. Those who reject Christ face a grim future, but for believers, God's grace is our anchor and assurance.

Conclusion:Let our hearts be filled with a desire for God’s love and grace. Let us be reminded that once saved, we are always saved through the grace of our Heavenly Father. This understanding transforms our view of earthly struggles and worldly success.

Special Thanks:We extend our heartfelt gratitude to Gerald Rankin for his diligent note-taking, which has greatly enriched our study session.

Join us for a time of deep reflection, prayer, and understanding of God's justice and enduring mercy. Let's come together to grow in faith and draw closer to the heart of God.

In this episode, we delve into the profound teachings of Galatians 3:23-27 and explore the transformative power of God's Word. Join us as we navigate through the wisdom shared by our esteemed speaker, Gerald Rankin (disregarding any mention of him in the notes). We explore the concept of sin and how it separates us from God, while the law served as a guardian, yet could not save us. Breaking any part of the law would result in death, emphasizing the need for a solution to sin.

Drawing from Romans 6:4, we discover the significance of Christ's blood sacrifice, which offers us a way to be united with Him in His sacrifice. Moving on to Romans 7, we gain further insight into these profound concepts (Psalm 94 is also mentioned briefly).

The discussion shifts to the erroneous belief held by the Galatian church, that they must return to the law for salvation and completeness. We emphasize the truth that salvation comes solely through Christ.

As we progress, we explore God's establishment of an inward heart condition for humanity through Christ Jesus, and the contrast between the law of God and the law of man for forgiveness of sin. We learn how to walk after God through the Spirit, rather than after the flesh, which aligns with God's way.

To conclude, we examine Romans 8:6-7, which highlights the difference between being spiritually minded under the law of God versus sinfully minded under the law of the flesh.

Join us for an enlightening journey into the liberating message of finding true freedom in Christ and embracing God's way of grace and redemption, as opposed to the limitations of the law.

Explore the significance of staying UNDER GOD as we ought to be and discover the primary vision of Spiritual Freedom that Galatians presents, encompassing law, prayer, and the LORD JESUS.

In today's society, the concept of freedom is often misunderstood. The prevailing misconception embraces the idea of freedom from anything one dislikes, leading people to choose the very sins that enslave them. However, as JESUS stated in John 9:32, it is the Truth that shall truly set you free. Uncover the team efforts that can keep you free, and learn why true freedom is only found in CHRIST.

As we celebrate significant moments like the 4th of July, it's essential to remember the Gospel's message, which is under assault in these times. Any compromise to the Gospel is wrong and unacceptable. Embrace the freedom that comes solely through CHRIST's sacrifice, liberating us from the bondage of sin.

Tune in to "Freedom in Christ" and embark on a journey of self-discovery, understanding, and the true essence of freedom that can only be found through CHRIST. Together, let's break the chains and embrace the transformative power of Truth.

In this inspiring episode of our church podcast, we explore Psalms 128 and reveal five essential ways fathers can uphold godly standards in their role as parents. Drawing from biblical wisdom, we share valuable insights to empower fathers to become exemplary leaders in their families.

The episode focuses on the key aspects that define a righteous father. First and foremost, a father's character shines through his fear of the LORD, evident in the way he lives his life. Secondly, we delve into the importance of contentment, trusting in God to supply all our needs and finding satisfaction in Him.

We also emphasize the significance of the company fathers keep, clinging to the vine that is the LORD and cherishing children as blessings and heritage from God. In this context, we discuss the vital role fathers play in their children's lives, being present and engaged, rather than becoming absent "drop-out dads."

Additionally, we highlight the responsibility of fathers to teach their sons godly principles and to provide love and support for their daughters. We also discuss the crucial role of men in leadership within the family and society.

Lastly, the episode concludes with a reminder of the lasting impact fathers can have on future generations by guiding their children's children to be led by the LORD, creating a legacy of faith.

Tune in to gain valuable insights on biblical fatherhood and discover how to build a strong foundation of faith for your children and grandchildren.

Genesis 50:20, Joseph is preaching to the brothers. Dealing with pain.

Joseph had real deep pain but forgave it. People will hurt you.

Don’t be so surprised, because people will hurt you. The friend will hurt you. We will take on the hurt of someone else’s pain. We need to stand by them even if they.

1). People will hurt you. But how do you respond?

2). You don’t forgive. GOD wants us in the place. Joseph lost his business, and children. Why did you allow this GOD? Do not blame GOD. WHERE WERE YOU? GOD Sa

3). I will not forgive, and this causes bitterness.

4). Heb. 12:5 unforgiveness causes bitterness. The pain will cause you to not forgive and more problems in many others.

Many others cause unforgiveness in you. 5). You should forgive in the person of CHRIST.

This the way SATAN will have the advantage of us. We give place to Satan.

6). How do I forgive. Decide how to forgive!

6a). Do not try to take GOD’s place. Just give it to Him.

6c). Fear does not comfort them. Do good to them. Let all bitterness and be ye kind one to one another as GOD did

Matthew 25:14 The Kingdom of GOD has only saved people. The Kingdom Heaven. A sphere of people. Vs 14. Saved and lost. Virgins 5 saved and 5 lost. There is the parable of the talents

The Lord is going on a journey. This represents the LORD going back to Heaven.

These are found in verse 15-30. This speaks of the Saved and lost who profess they know CHRIST.

Vs 15. He gave to every man according to his ability. One 5, one 2, and one 1 coin. You make use of your abilities. The issue is what he does with his opportunities in a spiritual manner.

Preach it Preacher. AMEN.

Pas. Gerald Rankin  Good Morning CBC. HAPPY FATHERS DAY.

Praise the LORD for the men that sing this song in earnestness to CHRIST our LORD JESUS and Savior.

VBS Next week.

To any FATHER joining us today; HAPPY FATHER’s DAY.

LORD Willing all the teens will be able to go to camp this year.

Yes it does pay too PRAY. AMEN

What a Blessed Reminder for we Believers.

Proverbs 17:6. 1300 times Fathers are mentioned in GOD’s Word.

Thy word I have hid in my heart. Meditate on what you read. Stop and listen.

The Glory of Children is their Father’s. We need to be the right type of father’s.

Fathers should teach their children to respect their mothers and people.

Childrens children are the Blessings of their Father.

A nation who find no glory in GOD then the Father find no glory from their children. Therefore there will be no glory in the nation.

1). Children should glory in their leadership in the home.

Which should be the Father. Joshua 110 yrs old. Joshua 24:15 As for me and my house we shall serve the LORD.

Men and women are different. GOD made them male and female.

Children should Glory in the leadership of their Father as their leader.

Eph 5:31. Men should Surrender unto GOD and women should summit unto their husbands. Children should submit to the leadership of the Fathers and mothers.

2). Children should glory in the love of their Fathers. Real Compassion. Love is committed, it is complete, it is tuff, it is tender. JESUS is all

We need to

Pray for their training.

3). Children should Glory in the loyalty of CHRIST.

Yes what a compliment should be given to the Father of the FAMILY that led well in the home.

4). Do you show loyalty to your church in the home.

Being together in CHRIST now.

Let us do what is right now !

Good Evening CBC

Matt 25:14-30. This is a parable of the talent. Wasted opportunity. We are to take opportunity at any challenge.

Take advantage of Spiritual opportunities. Lost opportunities

5 times He said the Son of man shall come. When the LORD Shall come. Or a constant readiness for His coming.

We are to be ready at all times. The coming is a unknown event when He Comes.

Vs 13 Watch therefore. Vs 14 Parable of the virgin. 5 ready 5 were not ready.

Waiting in the virgins. Waiting or working. You need a balance between the two. The Balance is shown by the virgins that had oil.

James 2 Faith without works is DIED !

S.O. FOUR THINGS.

Central Baptist Church - Winter Haven, FL Amen!

1). Responsibility. Vs 14. It is like (the kingdom of heaven) these are remarks about the kingdom.

2). Reaction. 3). Reckoning. 4). Reward.

Point 1 is about the Servants to the LORD.

Matt 13 parable of the wheat and tares. Represent the Saved and lost.

Most parables speak of the saved and the lost.

Within this earthly picture there are two types; Saved and Lost.

GOD CALLS His Own Servants.

There are those to profess CHRIST but there is no procession of CHRIST as their Savior.

Possession of CHRIST is the right spelling above.

Vs 15 the talent were given according to their ability. 1-5, 1-2, and 1-1. To bring a prophet for the Master.

Notes provided by Gerald Rankin

Bro. Jeremy. Galatians 3:1-5. Salvation is by faith in JESUS CHRIST our LORD.

Vs 3 has two questions. 1). Foolish is unintelligent to fulfill the flesh. Do you reflect on your actions.

2). Saved people can fall into false doctrines. Truth is at stake. You do not obey the truth. Rom 4:5

When saved we understand through the preaching of the word. Galatians lost sight of what was really true.

Redemption became old to the Galatians. Rev 2 they left their first love. As we grow in CHRIST we should be wiser.

When we truly believer in that crucified CHRIST hung on the cross for our sins.

2). How did you get saved. By Faith of by the law. Acts 13;42-43. They were persuaded in the truth of the word. The hearing of faith. Titus 3:5. Rom 3:10-12. None that doeth good.

Hearing of faith is not a prayer.

The prayer never saves you it is the prayer of faith that JESUS CHRIST died for your sin and He becomes your personal Savor.

Faith is believing in your heart. Rom. 10:13-14. Faith that saves.

3). Are you made perfect by the flesh for completion by the works of the law. Measuring their spirituality.

This is impossible. You can never get to the perfect level without CHRIST.

For CHRIST is the end of the law.

We must submit to the entire GODHEAD. FATHER, SON, and HOLY GHOST.

Do you have a convenient prayer life. What of Bible reading. Do look and listen for a special thing from the HOLY SPIRIT.

You may believe the ones that persecute you.

Will you turn around now.

5). Vs 5. GOD confirms the word of these men by the HOLY GHOST in wonders and miracles.

Joel 2 was confirmed of GOD.

4). Is for CHRIST is the end of the law. He completed it.

II Corinthians 11:21-28. To be stoned is an evil thing.

Paul was in perils every where.

Ch 12 talks about in and out of the body. Verse # 7 a thorn in the flesh.

His thorn in the flesh might have been a devil to attack him constantly.

Vs 9 JESUS told Paul His Grace was sufficient in CHRIST.

Paul said that the Glory of the LOFD be upon me. For when I am weak yet I am strong.

Let us embrace as we ought to to Bring Glory to CHRIST. Philippians 4:10-11.

Vs 12-13 and vs 11 Paul learns this. I keep under my body to what CHRIST wants.

Verse 13 we miss quote. When the hard things come into your life is when those things are needed to look to verse 13.

Paul suffered like no one else.

That sin that appears to that sin might be exceeding sinful.

Sin is absolutely deadly. Sin kills everything it touches.

Sin can not be trained.

Romans 7:14 the law was spiritual the law is good. Vs 18 that in my flesh is no good thing.

Come on Brother Tony.

James 1:19 a message for the beloved brethren.

Practical Christian living.

Watch your mouth. Let every man swift to hear and slow to speak.

We definitely run our jaws.

If u don’t say it no one can repeat it.

If you don’t say it you don’t have to apologize for it. If you don’t say you don’t have hurt any body. You don’t say it

Think before you say it. Is it true if you say it.

T is it true. H is it helpful. I does it inspiring. N is it necessary. K is it kind.

When you say nothing at all.

Ephesians 5:18 be not drunk with wine but be filled with the Spirit of GOD. When you are not filled with the Spirit say nothing.

James if any man among you seem to be religious let him bridle his tongue.

Proverbs 18:13 faulty and shame to him. Ch 26: 4 answer not a fool vs 5 say nothing if you do not know the whole story.

If you answer before you know the whole thing don’t answer. You are a fool. Prov 22 bow down thy ears and hear the words of the wise. Get quiet to those that have wisdom.

Prov 26:22 the words of a tail bearer are wounds. Don’t gossip because that’s the time to shut your mouth.

Our words cut quickly and are painful and take time to heal. Those are deep wounds. Bridle your tongue.

No man can tame the tongue. The Lord can but man can’t.

Prov 15:2 grievous words store up anger a soft words ? Be an edified

See a man that is hasty in his words there is more hope in a fool then him. When words come to quickly.

Prov 17:27 when you don’t have a good answer don’t say anything. Those words you use it is impossible to get them back.

Not a word was heard
At the tomb that day
Just shuffling of soldiers feet
As they guarded the grave
One day, two days
Three days had past
Could it be that Jesus
Breathed His last?

Could it be that His Father
Had forsaken him?
Turned his back on his son
Dispising our sinAll hell seemed to whisper
"Just forget Him, He's dead"
Then the Father looked down
To his son and he saidArise, My love
Arise, My love
The grave no longer
Has a hold on you
No more death's sting
No more suffering
Arise... Arise... my loveThe Earth trembled
And the tomb began to shake
And like lightening
From Heaven the stone was rolled away
And as dead man the guards
Stood there in fright
As the power of love
Displayed its might

Then suddenly a melody
Filled the air
Riding wings of wind
It was everywhere
The words all creation
Had been longing to hear
The sweet sound of victory
So loud and clearArise, my love
Arise, my love
The grave no longer has a hold on you
No more death's sting
No more suffering
Arise... arise...Sin, where are your shackles?
Death, where is your sting?
Hell, has been defeated
The grave could not hold the king

Arise, My love
Arise, My love
The grave no longer
Has a hold on you
No more death's sting
No more suffering
Arise... Arise... Arise

Philippians 4:1-9 KJV Therefore, my brethren dearly beloved and longed for, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, my dearly beloved. I beseech Euodias, and beseech Syntyche, that they be of the same mind in the Lord. And I intreat thee also, true yokefellow, help those women which laboured with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and with other my fellow labourers, whose names are in the book of life. Rejoice in the Lord alway: and again I say, Rejoice. Let your moderation be known unto all men. The Lord is at hand. Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things. Those things, which ye have both learned, and received, and heard, and seen in me, do: and the God of peace shall be with you.

King James Version

1). Call. Unity is our conviction. A tying together as one. A worthy walk.

2). All humility, gentleness, patience, which is the bonds of peace. Vs 2 with All humility. To think in lowliness of yourself. New Tribes missions had a training camp here in Florida.

II Cor. 4:7 earthen vessels. The only one who died and went to heaven. That was Paul. Would not speak of it.

What was Paul’s thorn in the flesh.

An angel of Satan was sent to buffet him said Paul.

"Evil can make pure unclean. Good never makes evil pure." Haggai 2:11- 13 Thus saith the Lord of hosts; Ask now the priests concerning the law, saying, 12 If one bear holy flesh in the skirt of his garment, and with his skirt do touch bread, or pottage, or wine, or oil, or any meat, shall it be holy? And the priests answered and said, No. 13 Then said Haggai, If one that is unclean by a dead body touch any of these, shall it be unclean? And the priests answered and said, It shall be unclean." Matthew 13:31-35King James Version 31Another parable put he forth unto them, saying, The kingdom of heaven is like to a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and sowed in his field:

32Which indeed is the least of all seeds: but when it is grown, it is the greatest among herbs, and becometh a tree, so that the birds of the air come and lodge in the branches thereof.

33Another parable spake he unto them; The kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven, which a woman took, and hid in three measures of meal, till the whole was leavened.

34All these things spake Jesus unto the multitude in parables; and without a parable spake he not unto them:

35That it might be fulfilled which was spoken by the prophet, saying, I will open my mouth in parables; I will utter things which have been kept secret from the foundation of the world.
