What does Lordship mean? Is Lordship a requirement for salvation? Can one believe on Christ anytime they like? Is genuine salvation a mental decision or something more? All of these questions plaque many Christians but a proper understanding of the Biblical teaching on salvation and Lordship clears all the confusion.

The Bible tells us in Revelation 7 that there will be people saved from every tribe and tongue and kindred. God will not, however, be using the Church to be leading people to faith in Christ because they will be removed. Paul's teaching in 2 Thessalonians helps us understand that the Holy Spirit, which is in the Church, which is restraining the man of sin, will remove the Church to be with Jesus in Heaven. Those who have heard, understood and rejected the Savior's salvation, will not be given another chance.

There are three main passages in Scripture that teach the Rapture of the Church. In John 14, we see how Jesus will receive them to Himself. In 1 Corinthians 15, we see how an incorruptible body is essential for being with the Lord. In 1 Thessalonians 4, we see that we meet Him in the air and NOT Him coming to the earth to be with us.

Two often used criticisms of Dispensationalism are the relative recentness of the teaching in Church History and some terms, such as Rapture, used in Dispensationalism. The teachings and terms are eternal, but the nomenclature and systemization being recent does not discount their trustworthiness.

In Matthew 10, we have a clear example of dispensationalism. The instructions Jesus gave to the Apostles in Matthew 10 are not orders Jesus gave in Matthew 28. These are clearly two separate dispensations.

A dispensational understanding of the Bible asks two questions with every passage of Scripture: What are God's directions and Who were they given to. There are three conclusions arrived at for asking these questions: the Bible must be taken literally, there is a distinction between Israel and the Church and God has done everything to bring glory to Himself.

Dispensationalism is the name given to a plain, literal interpretation of the Scriptures. Dispensationalism understands the distinction between Israel and the Church and believes the promises of God to be unbreakable for both.

God promised King David that his son, a son from his loins, would build a Temple and God would bless it. There will also be a literal throne, in a literal Temple in Palestine that Jesus Christ will sit on during His Millennial reign.

The Bible teaches that once a person becomes a child of God, they will eternally be a child of God. No one in the Bible has ever lost their salvation. This study shows Biblical evidence of this comforting truth.
