The fellas get to collaborate with one of the best NBA twitter personalities and star of the Jenkinz and Jonez podcast John Nichols (LaJethro Jenkins) and react to some of the most pressing storylines of what has been a hectic offseason. They discuss the Celtics possibly paying Jaylen Brown the supermax of $305M, the Suns' offseason moves, KD and Kyrie's confusing legacies, and more.
On this pod Ty, Blake, and CJ react to Game 6 of the Eastern Conference 1st round matchup between the Celtics and the Hawks and break down what went wrong for a Hawks team that was talented enough to make a conference finals appearance. The fellas also react to other superstar 4th quarter meltdowns in the first round, including Giannis' blunder in Game 6 vs. the Heat. Jimmy Butler's unreal postseason run is also discussed.

Today the fellas collaborate with a big name in the sports content creator sphere, Cam Babine, the owner of DailySportsDosage. On this episode they discuss how social media has widely affected the stars of the NBA (particularly one Kyrie Irving) the state of the entire game. They talk about the Mavs' struggles, Jaylen Brown's future with the Celtics, and Lamar Jackson's trade demand and the ridiculousness of his contract situation.
On today’s episode the fellas react to the NCAA tournament and the upsets that have happened through the first two rounds. They pick the matchups they want to see the most and who of the remaining teams has the best shot at winning it all. They also talk about the Warriors’ struggles on the road and if they can turn it on come Playoff time after having one of the most confusing championship follow up seasons ever. Finally, they react to the surprising season for the Sacramento Kings and if this is a Western Conference squad who can do more than a first round exit come Playoff time
On this pod the fellas discuss the surprise success of the Sacramento Kings as they have solidified themselves as one of the best offensive forces in all of basketball. They talk about the success of the De'Aaron Fox and Sabonis duo and how far they can get in the Western conference in this new Kings era. They also talk about the success of the Knicks who look like a hybrid of that 2020-21 playoff squad and what they need to do to build off of the suprise success of that season. They also preview March Madness ahead of Selection Sunday.
The Lakers are fresh off of a major comeback win against the Mavericks and they have been on a roll since trading away Russell Westbrook for the likes of D’Angelo Russell, Jarred Vanderbilt, others, winning four of their last five games against the likes of the Mavericks (in Dallas), the Warriors, and Pelicans (with a major statement game this Tuesday against the Grizzlies). Offensively they have been looking better and there is a new energy to this team that wasn’t there a couple of weeks ago. The fellas react to that and also Milwaukee's big time winning streak, including a major win this weekend against the Suns without Giannis. They also flip it into yet another Embiid vs Jokic debate near the end and ponder the possibility of the two leading MVP candidates meeting in the Finals.
On today's pod Ty and Carl react to the Clippers' big pickup of Russell Westbrook on the buyout market and how this move will benefit both him and an organization that's been on the hunt for a title since the Chris Paul era. This moves into a conversation about some of the biggest player falls from stardom of the last ten years including names like Demarcus Cousins, John Wall, Michael Carter- Wiliams and Isaiah Thomas, amongst others. The big hope here is that Russ doesn't join that group.....
Welcome to an episode full of complaints and zero solutions. On this pod the fellas react to the rather lackluster 2023 All- Star game that featured a near sixty point performance from this year’s MVP of the contest Jayson Tatum. They talked about the lack of competition in the game and what else could be done to try to make the event more entertaining for the fans. They also react to Saturday's dunk contest and three point contest action.
On today’s episode the fellas react to the NFL’s conference championship action as the stage is set for Super Bowl LVII between the Chiefs and the Bengals. One of the most underrated storylines of this year’s game is the matchup between two black QB’s for the first time in the history of the NFL. The guys make their picks for the big game and discuss what a ring could do for the MVP candidate Jalen Hurts’ career that has been up and down since his college days. They also talk about Joel Embiid’s MVP run as he won his head to head matchup with Nikola Jokic and is currently leading the Sixers to seven straight victories.
On today's episode the fellas react to the All- Star starter announcements and debate who should and should not have been selected in the first five for the East and the West. They also react to Damian Lillard's 60 point explosion against the Jazz and how he could be wasting his best years while waiting on the Blazers to put a contending team around him.
On today's episode the fellas react to Luka Doncic's unreal 60 point triple double performance against the Knicks. They discuss his place in the ever so quickly changing MVP race and whether this current trajectory he's been on since his rookie season can land him in the GOAT conversation. They also talked about the red hot Nets who have won their last nine games against the likes of the Raptors, Pacers, Cavs, and Bucks and discuss where they sit in the East as far as title contenders go. Finally they react to Trae Young (allegedlly) wanting out of Atlanta after a slow start to the season for this new look squad.
On today’s pod the fellas grade each team in the Top 8 of both the Eastern and Western conference based on their season performances on an A-F scale. Almost like your normal “contenders vs. pretenders” pod but…. better.
On today's episode Carl and Ty react to Anthony Davis' hot streak over his last nine games and debate whether or not this is the stretch that can turn the Lakers' season around. This turns into a random Giannis vs. AD debate and ever so gracefully transitions into an LA Clippers/ Kawhi Leonard slander session as the fellas largely try to figure out, while the game is as diverse and open as ever, who is the current face of teh league?
On today's pod the fellas react to the slow start to the season for the Warriors coming off of a huge loss to the Suns. They debate their defensive struggles and whether or not it is too early to react to the dissapointing start for the defending champs. They also react to KD's bombshell comments about the Nets' roster and go into yet another debate about his (EXTREMELY) complex legacy.
On today's pod the fellas react to the new Black Panther 2 release (without spoilers) and transition ever- so gracefully into a conversation about Jayson Tatum's elite MVP run to start off the season. This turned into a random Jayson Tatum/ Luka debate. They also ranked the Top 5 backcourts in the NBA (each list excluding Steph and Klay) and snuck in yet another conversation about Russell Westbrook and the Lakers.
On today's pod Carl and Ty react to the West and East standings and pick which teams we should believe in early in the season and teams who may just have us fooled at this point.
The fellas react to the red hot start for the Bucks and debate Giannis’ place amongst the all- time greats. What does he have to do to sit within that Top 10 range at just 27 years old? They also reacted to the newly appointed 6th Man for the Lakers Russell Westbrook and his solid showing over his last four games off the bench.

They also talk about the early success for the Utah Jazz and their strange position in the post Donovan Mitchell/ Rudy Gobert era. On today's episode (the first in weeks) the fellas react to the start of the NBA's 2022-23 campaign and breakdown the biggest surprises (Donovan Mitchell's early MVP run, the young studs in Indiana plus many more) and dissapointments from the season (the slow starts for the Lakers, Clippers, 76ers, and Nets)

They react to the drama in Golden State and debate how much this will impact the team’s chemistry as they move into their title defense. They also talk about Russ and the Lakers (once again) and chemistry issues that seem apparent even from the preseason. They also make their preseason award picks for MVP, ROTY, COTY, MIP, and DPOY.
On today's episode the fellas react to Victor Webanyama's previosu showings and debate his place amongst the last draft picks since LeBron James. Is he the best since The King? Is he a better prospect at this point than what Zion was? They also talk early preseason storylines, Warriors practice woes, and switch to the NFL to debate the best defensive players in the league
On today's episode the fellas react to the 3-0 start to the season from the Dolphins and the Eagles. They dicuss the great play of former Alabama QB's Jalen Hurts and Tua Tagovailoa and debate whether or not they can keep this play up and take it all the way into an MVP push. They also react to NBA Media Day and Training Camp which got kicked off this week and dicuss if Zion and the Pels can build off of their surprise start to last season and if the underrated Nuggets can finally get past the hump and make the Finals run that they've been destined to make.
On today's episode the fellas react to some of the hottest takes offered up by our Snapchat fans. Among some of the craziest ones are Cooper Rush being better than Dak, Magic Johnson being overrated, The Pistons being a play- in team, and many more
On today's episode the fellas take a step back and evaluate the NFL action two weeks in. They pick their best storylines from the season so far and even rank the top performing QBs as players such as Josh Allen, Jalen Hurts, Tua Tagavailoa, Justin Herbert, Pat Mahomes, and others have gotten off to red hot starts to teh season. They also pick the biggest winners and losers from Week 2 action. Finally, they react to the NBA's Top 100 rankings released by ESPN. The most surprising rankings included Zion projected at #40 ahead of the seaon and Kyrie Irving being ranked just below Andrew Wiggins (much to Ty's dismay).
On the 100th episode this pod was super stacked with content. The fellas started off by talking about the players in the NBA with the most hands (odd way to start off a pod, but okay). They then transition to LA’s signing of Dennis Shroeder and what this means for the Lakers in what has been a strange, unorthodox offseason. They then get into listing their Top 5 Athletes of all time which turns into a history lesson mixed into a Jordan vs. LeBron debate. It wouldn’t be The League Report Pod without one of those
On today's episode the fellas react to Week 1 action of the highly anticipated 2022-23 NFL Season. They react to big W1 storylines such as the great showings from the WR's (Justin Jefferson, Cooper Kupp, Devante Adams, AJ Green amongst others) and even some of the more dissapointing ones, ESPECIALLY Dallas' skid into the season coming off of a sad end to last year's campaign. They also react to NBA news as The Pheonix Suns' owner Robert Sarver was fined millions for discrimination and sexual harasssment in the workplace.
On today's pod the fellas react to the newly released NBA2K23 ratings and give their hot takes about these. They also make their Week 1 NFL picks and choose winners from key matchups such as the Bills Vs. Rams, Cowboys Vs. Bucs, and Raiders Vs. Chargers. They also talk a bit about the Lakers and the fit between Pat Beverley and Russell Westbrook as we got our first look at the newly acquired player in the yellow and gold practice jersey.
On today’s episode the fellas react to the HUGE blockbuster trade that sent Donovan Mitchell to the Cavs and Collin Sexton to Utah. They discuss if this makes the Cavaliers contenders out East and how the move could effect the trajectory of Collin Sexton’s career. They also lank their Top 5 Defenders in the league amidst yet another Rudy Gobert debate
On The League Report’s first NFL pod the fellas react to the league’s Top 100 rankings, particularly the selection of Tom Brady at No. 1 over the reigning MVP Aaron Rogers. They also react to more Lakers drama and updates on the Donovan Mitchell situation in Utah as the Knicks have made a major turn in another direction by extending RJ Barrett.
The rebrand has begun, it’s TLR’s first non- hoop, hip hop centered podcast. On today’s episode the fellas react to DJ Khaled’s latest release (3:56) and it leads to a debate on what qualifies as a classic album (15:00). They also list their Top 5 Projects of the year and react to JID’s Forever Story (33:50) and rank it against J Cole’s latest releases. Finally, the fellas react to Diddy’s claim that R&B is dead (45:50) and it leads to a HEATED debate on what classifies as R&B music (47:55).
On today’s pod the guys react to Kevin Durant announcement that he will stay in Brooklyn and look to pursue a title with Kyrie and Ben Simmons. They also do start, bench, and cuts with past and present stars. They also react to the Lakers’ acquisition of Patrick Beverly

On today’s episode we talked about the Wizards’ declining play this season and the negative implications that it has on Bradley Beal’s rather uncertain future in Washington as he is set to (potentially) become a free agent in the coming offseason. We also take the time to talk about the Rookie Of the Year conversation as multiple first year players such as Cade Cunningham, Ayo Dosunmu, and Jalen Suggs have stepped up their level of play since we last talked about the topic on the podcast. We also did an immediate reaction to the NBA’s announcement of it’s All- Star Starters, the biggest surprise being Andrew Wiggins’ selection out West as one of the ten starters in the game.
We’re back with another episode and things are looking a little bit different in the league. The Miami Heat have OFFICIALLY (as of now) taken that top spot in the stacked Eastern conference this season thanks to the stellar play of their returning All- Stars in Jimmy Butler and Bam Adebayo plus high performing role players such as Max Strus, Omer Yurtseven, and many others. We stack them up against other teams in the East and debate if this team can end up making a Finals run, similar to the one made in the 2019 Bubble.
We couldn’t get through this episode without complaining about Russell Westbrook and the Lakers, this time discussing a wild trade rumor that was put out that LA may be interested in pursuing former All- Star PG John Wall. We discussed how much sense this trade would make (if any at all) and evaluated how the Lakers could turn their season around, whether it be through trade, coaching change, or increased health.
It’s been a week since our latest pod but we’ve got A LOT to discuss on today’s episode. First things first, we had to take the time to give credit to some amazing performances last night (1/19/21) from two MVP candidates in Joel Embiid and Nikola Jokic, both showing out with signature season performances. We talked about the level of skill in today’s league at the five spot and where these two can end up stacking up in the all time big man conversations. We also discussed Luka’s big time 40 point performance last night which was quite possibly his best game of the season. We took this into a Mavericks conversation and discussed the possibility of this team making a deeper run in the postseason compared to previous years.
We also took the time to talk bad about the Celtics (again) and gauged the trade market for Al Horford who has been linked to rumors over the last couple of days as Boston has seemingly made him available to other teams. Near the end of the show we also ranked random players such as Devin Booker, Ja Morant, Luka, and many more and prove just how deep the talent is in the NBA today by position.
On today's show we discuss the hottest topic revolving around the NBA: TRADES. So many rumors and already a couple of early transactions have happened across the league that we took the time to talk about on this episode of The League Report Pod.
First things first, we discussed the (now voided) Bol Bol trade to the Pistons and how this could hinder his development into star status, which we know he is capable of reaching once given sufficient playing time. We also reviewed the first major trade of the season in which the Hawks sent their young forward Cam Reddish to the Knicks for Kevin Knox and draft compensation .
We also shot a bunch of random trade ideas revolving around Ben Simmons and the Hawks (a continuation from our last episode) and even discussed some Lakers trade rumors, specifically with Gary Trent Jr. who's name has been thrown around the fan base for the last couple of days.
Last night may as well been a holiday in the NBA as the Warriors' second superstar Klay Thompson made his long awaited debut at home against the Cavaliers. We reacted to his first game back (which was impressive as he scored 17 points in 20 minutes) and what this means for a Dubs team that has already been the best in the league up to his return.
We also react to Fred VanVleet's insane All- Star run as he's scored 30 points or more in the last five out of six games. We talk Toronto's upside and also took the convo to discuss the complex seeding in the Eastern conference, plus who we believe the real title contenders are near the top of the standings.
We are coming off of on epic night of basketball as we react to yet another classic New York Knicks vs. Boston Celtics matchup in MSG. Based off of that game we discussed the Celtics' increased on court issues including the fit between Jaylen Brown and Jayson Tatum. We also take the time to talk about some chemistry issues that have been existent in Boston, from Marcus Smart's early season criticisms on JB and Tatum's isolation focused attacks on offense up to Udoka calling out this team's mental toughness after last night's blown 20 point lead.
On the second half of the pod we talked about the red hot run that the Grizzlies are on as they sit comfortably in that fourth spot out in the West. Ja is on an MVP run and role players such as Desmond Bane and Steven Adams have played a major, sometimes underrated part in their success in this first half of the season.
The NBA has kicked off the New Year with a multitude of insane storylines that we took the time to discuss on today's episode.
First off, we discuss LeBron's insane scoring run as he is nearing the 30 PPG mark in his effort to lead this Lakers team back into good standing in the Western Conference after a more than chaotic start to the season. This team has now won their last two games against the Timberwolves and the Blazers and looks to continue their "hot streak" in thier next matchup against Sacramento.
There was also a ton of drama in Houston revolving around their starting PG Kevin Porter Jr. (who left the arena mid- game) and Christian Wood (who refused to check in the game in the second half). We talk about the development of this young Rockets squad and how confident fans should be with the idea that KPJ is being molded into their point guard of the future.
We also take the time to discuss Jaylen Brown's career high 50 PTS against the Magic and Josh Giddey's historical triple double against the Mavericks.
COVID continues to run rampant across the league but that has not stopped some key players from playing at a high level even with the uncertainties caused by the virus.
Joel Embiid is emerging as an MVP candidate once again, averaging over 30 PPG in his last six games, keeping Philly afloat just above play- in status at the 6th spot. We debate his spot amongst other MVP candidates and also compare his play with that of fellow superstar big man Nikola Jokic who has also led the Nuggets to a solid record, even with a battered roster.
This episode we also made time to complain more about the Lakers and even debated Karl Anthony- Towns’s comments on Russell Westbrook earlier this week, calling him a stat padder (much to the dismay of other NBA stars who clapped back at him). We circle this into more trade talk and address some of the needs and issues that teams need to figure out heading into the deadline in order to turn themselves from mediocre squads to legit contenders.
We are coming off of a somewhat entertaining holiday weekend in the NBA and entering an important period in the season for a lot of teams. We spent the first part of the episode reacting to Christmas games, specifally those Celtics- Bucks and Lakers- Nets matchups. We discussed Milwaukee's big, late fourth quarter comeback in Fiserv Forum and Giannis' unbelievable showing in his return to the team after being in COVID protocols for an extensive period. We also talked the Bucks' chances of repeating as champions in the East, even with the Nets, Heat, and Bulls looking like elite contenders to take that spot. We also didn't shy away from some more Lakers slander as they lost at home to a (majorly) underhanded Nets team.
This episode we also spent our time drafting our own All- Star teams based off of player performances at this point in the season. There were some hot takes here as Andrew Wiggins, Tyler Herro, Miles Bridges, and a few others were names mentioned as potential first time All- Stars in their respective conferences.
We’re at a really weird part of the season, especially with everything going on with COVID and injuries. Teams have had such inconsistent rosters over the last couple of weeks. We spent the first half of the episode talking about our general opinions about this strange NBA season (strange has really been the word to describe the NBA the last three years). We also took the time to discuss some trade rumors (and ideas) that have been circulating around the league, especially around names such as Domantas Sabonis (linked to the Celtics), De’Aaron Fox (linked to the Knicks), Jerami Grant (linked to both the Lakers and Bulls), Dennis Shroeder (linked to the Mavs), and Ben Simmons (linked to every team in the league).
COVID- 19 has become synonymous with this NBA season as countless players have been thrown in the Health and Safety Protocols over the last week or so. One team heavily affected by this is the Brooklyn Nets who have still found a way to stay at the top of the Eastern Conference even with a heavily inconsistent roster. We talked about Steve Nash’s nearly unmatched ability to keep his team afloat over the last couple of seasons even with guys being in and out of the lineup. We talked about the imminent return of Kyrie Irving and if this team can maintain rhythm with him only being present during home games for the time being. We also took time to talk about the Lakers, specifically Anthony Davis who is set to miss a significant amount of time with yet another lower body injury. It seems like whenever the Lakers look like they’ve got some rhythm going for themselves, it goes away quickly as they can’t seem to find any level of consistency. We talk about the value of Davis and the future outlook with him in a Lakers jersey (people may be overreacting just a bit with some of the “Lakers may need to trade Anthony Davis” takes on social media).
The Knicks are off to a VERY slow start to a season that has been nothing short of controversial. From defensive and offensive struggles to benching Kemba Walker to Julius Randle’s lackluster play after a career year, the Knicks just can’t seem to get it right at all. We talk about this on today’s show and examine the possibility of New York potentially getting out of the rut that they are currently in. We also take time to talk about the red hot Utah Jazz who are following the Suns’ footsteps out West and are embarking on their own win streak of seven game. We discuss the possibility of this squad finally making a Finals run and also debate the effectiveness of Rudy Gobert as he (once again) seems like a prime candidate for the DPOY award.
Stephen Curry is on the hot pursuit in terms of breaking Ray Allen's record for all- time three pointers made. We talk about his performance last night against the Sixers and also discuss the historical implications behind him breaking Allen's record. We also snuck some comic book talk in as we previewed the ever- so hyped up Spiderman: No Way Home movie that is set to come out this week.
Trade talk is in the air as the Indiana Pacers are now (allegedly) open to trading away the likes of Caris Levert, Myles Turner, Damontas Sabonis, and potentially additional pieces in order to try to usher in a rebuild. We talk about this and the best potential landing spots for those listed players, specifically Myles Turner who voiced his concerns recently about his usage in Indy. Next we talk about the Wizards, more specifically Bradley Beal who worried Washington fans across the country with his recent remarks surrounding his extension signing status with the team. We also make sure to discuss the Rockets who have been red hot, winning their last seven games (their most recent win being over the Kevin Durant- less Brooklyn Nets at the Toyota Center).
The Blazers are coming off of an embarrassing loss to the Boston Celtics, losing 145- 117 while letting the C’s shoot it at 56% from three and 57% from deep. We talked about the slow start for the Blazers and also discussed their future with the Dame and CJ duo. Should they move CJ out and continue to build around Dame or just blow the whole thing up and move both players away? We also talked about the current (weird) state of the 76ers and gauged potential trades that would make sense involving Ben Simmons (for like the 100th time). We also built off of a Bleacher Report article that ranked some of the top duos in the NBA and decided to make our own list, ranking our own Top 15 1-2 punches in the league. Trust me, there were some red hot takes here with these lists.
We’re coming off of a big time matchup between the Suns and the Warriors, and the Suns ended up taking the dub, pulling away late in the fourth quarter. PHX's defense (especially that of Mikal Bridges) was the story of the night as the defending Western Conference Champs held Stephen Curry to under 15 PTS on an inifficient shooting nighit. The Suns even overcame a Devn Booker injury on thier ride to the victory. We react to this marquee matchup and also preview the rematch that is set to happen on ESPN this Friday evening (at the expense of the Lakers and the Clippers). This episode we also take the time to talk about the streaking Milwuakee Bucks who are winners of their last eight games, and also discuss the chances that the reigning Finals MVP Giannis Antetokounmpoo has of earning his third regular season MVP amidst his stellar play over the last couple of games. We also talk about the red hot play of ATL Hawks guard Trae Young who is playing some of the best basketball of his career with four straight 30 PT scoring nights.
After a week long hiatus we’re back to talk hoops. There’s been a lot of activity since last week, so we get right to it. First off we react to the news from Denver that will continue to shake up the Nuggets’ lackluster season. The newly, max contract extended Michael Porter Jr. is set to miss the remainder of the season due to continued back injuries that have hindered him since his collegiate days at Mizzou. We react to the news and discuss how this will affect Denver in the long term. We also react to the standings (it’s a good time to step back and evaluate where each of the top teams is at right now) and rank squads by Tiers. The criteria is simple: who is a pretender and who is actually a contender?
NBA social media was booming today as the Kings announced the firing of three- year head coach Luke Walton after a slow start to what should have been a promising season for one of the most talented young squads in the league. Blake, Carl, and Ty react to this news and discuss the future outlook for this Kings squad as Alvin Gentry steps up to the plate as their new (interim) head coach. The boys also take time to react to the latest blunder from the infamous Lakers. Even with a healthy and somewhat impressive LeBron back in the lineup, the Lakers still struggled on the defensive end and lost in embarrassing fashion to a seemingly red hot Celtics team that’s gotten great production from the likes of Dennis Shroeder, Jayson Tatum, and other role players.
On today’s show the fellas talk about the red hot Pheonix Suns as they ride a 10- game win streak (fresh off of a home win agains the Luka- less Dallas Mavs). They discuss whether or not the Suns are in a position to make a repeat run to the Finals amidst the increased competition in the West (barring all injuries that teams such as the Warriors and Lakers have faced in recent memory). Kristaps Porzingis all found himself in the conversation as he’s been hot over his last couple of games (it seems like the Mavs are starting to figure it out a little bit on the offensive end). They also talk about the off and on play of Nets’ point guard James Harden and his status amongst other NBA- All Stars throughout his slump (although he has been heating up over his last couple). Near the end of the show, the guys revisit some preseason takes that they had and react to them to see if they aged well at this point of the season (those Pistons and Rockets predictions probably aged the worst).
The whole crew is back to talk about an action packed weekend of the NBA. First things first, the fellas discussed the start to the Cavaliers’ season (currently sitting at the 4th spot in the East). They are coming off of a huge second half comeback victory over the Celtics at home, and the question is whether or not they can keep it up as the season progresses (as Carl mentions on this show, they’ve had hot starts like this before and… well we know exactly what has happened after that). The boys also talk about the 4-game winning streak for the young Thunder and the upside of the Josh Giddey/ Shai Gilgeous- Alexander core. Finally, the fellas reacted to some way too early trade proposals from Bleacher Report. Included in those trades were ideas that sent CJ Mccollum to Dallas, Jerami Grant to the Knicks, Ben Simmons to the Wolves, and Karl Anthony- Towns to the Celtics.
It’s been another hectic past couple of days in the NBA which means there is a lot to cover on today’s episode. To get things started, the fellas discussed the (ever so entertaining) “beef” between the Morris Twins and the Jokic brothers after Nikola’s hard flagrant foul on Markieff. Ty and Carl also took time to talk about the Lakers’ OT victory against the Heat last night (spearheaded by Russell Westbrook and Malik Monk’s big late game offensive output). Also discussed was Golden State’s dominant start to the season as they sit at 10-1. Stephen Curry seems primed for yet another MVP caliber season while Andrew Wiggins, Jordan Poole, and the rest of this deep Warriors squad have provided him with a great supporting cast (just wait till Klay is back). The boys also talked about the red hot start to the season for Paul George and the suprsingly good early Western conference standing that the Clippers have (6th out West). Finally, Ty and Carl reacted to the first regular season matchup of the #1 and #2 overall picks of this year’s draft, Cade Cunningham and Jalen Green. Jalen Green was at Cade’s neck all night but the top pick got the last laugh as the Pistons collected the W.
This rookie class has been nothing short of awesome so far this season. The talent level from top to bottom has been on full display, and we’ve had our fair share of surprises and (also) disappointments from the top talent in the 2021 Draft. This episode we gave the marquee names in this rookie class grades from A-F based off of their early season showings. Names discussed this show included Evan Mobley, Jalen Green, Cade Cunningham, Alperen Sengun, Franz Wagner, Jalen Suggs, Scottie Barnes, Chris Duarte, and Davion Mitchell).

The boys are back to discuss more and more happenings from the Association as Week 1 comes to a close. The fellas took time this episode to discuss Tyler Herro’s hot start to the season (28.5 PPG, 48% FG, 8 REB, 2.5 AST as of October 24th, 2021) and if he can maintain it throughout the rest of the year. They also discussed the red hot start of CJ Mccollum (31 PPG, 56% FG, 55% 3 PT, 4.5 REB, 2 STL) and if this could possibly, finally be an All- Star year for him. The Bulls were also a topic of discussion as Zach Lavine and Demar Derozan are off to a roaring start as the NBA’s newest 1-2 punch wing duo. They also discussed Lonzo’s solid start and the upside on him this season. The Timberwolves also found their names slipped into the conversation as the fellas discussed their solid start and the upside of the Big 3 of Karl-Anthony Towns, D’Angelo Russell, and Anthony Edwards.

The regular season is officially in action and this past week has been HECTIC. We got a classic opening night in the Garden where Jaylen Brown and the Celtics went at it against Julius Randle and the new look Knicks (shouts out to Evan Fournier and Derrick Rose for the clutch buckets). We talked about our favorite Week 1 performances. Names mentioned were Anthony Edwards (29 PTS on 10-21 from the floor on opening night), Lamelo Ball (31 PTS on 11-23 from the floor, 7-9 from deep), Chris Duarte (Pacers record 27 PTS in his debut) and many more. We also took our time to analyze Steph Curry’s insane opening week performances and the early struggles for Russell Westbrook and the Lakers.
THE NBA SEASON STARTS THIS WEEK! We couldn’t be more hyped for opening night as the preseason was nothing short of entertaining (surprisingly). On today’s episode we started our conversation with Mikal Bridges and his extension with the Suns ($90M over 4 years) and also the potential value of Deandre Ayton headed into the season now that he and PHX were not able to come to a contract agreement. We made sure to talk about the Jaren Jackson contract extension ($105M over 4 years) and what to expect from him performance-wise coming into the year. We discussed another contract conflict, this one between Collin Sexton and the Cavs. Finally, we made our Week 1 Marquee Matchup predictions (predicting winners in Bucks/ Nets, Warriors/ Lakers, Celtics/ Knicks, Nuggets/ Suns, Clippers/ Warriors, and Suns/ Lakers games).
We are now less than a week away from the start of the highly anticipated 2021-22 season and there is PLENTY to talk about. We started off the episode by discussing the first couple of games that we have seen with Russell Westbrook in a Lakers jersey. We talked about the turnovers (there were a TON of those) and whether or not LA fans should be concerned about them. Ben Simmons was (again) the topic of conversation on today's episode. He is seemingly returning to Philly, so we took time to talk about the possible reunion between him and the rest of the Sixers cast. Finally we made our stat leader predictions, specifically in the categories of scoring, assists, 3PM, rebounding, and turnovers.
All three of the guys are back and we've got A LOT to talk about this episode. First things first, the NBA dropped their annual (and controversial) GM Survey and we spent some time to react to that. Surprisingly, not too much about their votes dissapointed us this time around (outside of their prediction that the Bulls won't even be a Top 7 seed out in the East). We also reacted to the preseason action that got into full swing this past week. We highlighted our favorite early performers. Names included Trey Murphy of the Pelicans, Evan Mobley, Malik Monk, Cam Thomas of the Nets, the the new look Bulls, Jordan Poole, and many more.
The Preseason has OFFICIALLY STARTED and even though LeBron, Kyrie, KD, Harden, and everyone else important didn’t play in the opener, there was still a TON of stuff to address just from that first matchup. Malik Monk was impressive in his Lakers debut, going for 10 PTS off the bench. His shot making and creating can make him a great contender for that starting SG spot for LA. We also saw good stuff from the Twin Towers of this team in Dwight Howard and Deandre Jordan whose paint protection will be valuable for this squad moving into the season. Cam Thomas was super impressive for Brooklyn, putting up a 20 PT effort in his “debut”. Paul Millsap also showed some promise as a veteran off the bench who could provide scoring, playmaking, and solidity on the defensive end of the floor. On this episode we also discussed award contenders ahead of the season such as the MVP, MIP, and ROTY. Amongst names discussed for MVP contention were Zach Lavine, Luka Doncic, and Donovan Mitchell (Jayson Tatum and Kevin Durant were also names briefly talked about). Cade Cunningham, Jalen Green, and Evan Mobley are early favorites to take home the hardware for the ROTY award. Tyrese Maxey, Lonzo Ball, Cam Reddish, and Keldon Johnson were names mentioned with the MIP award
NBA Training Camp was in full swing this past week and the news and storylines that came from it were absolutely insane. On today's episode we jumped right back into Ben Simmons talk and reacted to the new updates that came out of the Philly 76er's camp. We reacted to Simmons' reasons for departure, debated if he could become a No.1 option, and even talked about the possibility of him returning to the team to play during the season. We also talked about Michael Porter Jr's HEFTY pay raise in Denver and debated whether or not he is worth that money at the moment. We also took tim to talk about Zion Williamson and his health issues that may hinder his progress this season. Of course, we couldn't go the entire episode without mentioning the Lakers and their recent pickups during this offseason (Russell Westbrook, Carmelo Anthony, Dwight Howard, etc.) and discussed how Frank Vogel will manage this team's lineup throughout the year. Finally, we talked about the most recent controversial rule change in the NBA (the out of bounds, under two minute rule). The season is already off to an absolute hectic start, can't wait for that first tip off of the preseason this Sunday.
NBA Training Camp starts this week and we are as hype as ever. First things first, we reacted to ESPN’s Top 100 rankings, especially their Top 10 player rankings. We debated if Luka Doncic is rightfully above James Harden and Steph Curry, and even chimed in on whether or not LeBron can reclaim his throne as the best player in the league. We got right back into our official team previews ahead of the start of the season, and started our conversation with the Mavericks. We discussed their pickups, specifically that of head coach and Hall of Famer Jason Kidd, and the potential impact his presence could have on the continued development of Luka and Porzingis. We also talked about Golden State and how their offseason moves have put them right back into position to potentially compete for a title. We ended our conversation by talking about the young Hawks and how their work though the Draft will help them build off of their surprise success that they had last year with Trae Young and company.
Only a couple of weeks until the preseason tips off for the highly anticipated 2021-22 NBA campaign (also the league’s 75th anniversary), and the boys are back here to give their team previews ahead of the first jump ball. We started things off by talking about more Ben Simmons rumors and news, particularly the rift between him and Doc Rivers. We also talked a little bit about the Spurs and the young talent that they possess in Lonnie Walker, Dejounte Murray, Keldon Johnson, Derrick White Jr. amongst others. We talk their potential ceiling for the season and the direction that this organization should take as they continue to try to sort things out and try to find an identity in the post- Tim Duncan era. We also take some time to talk about the Celtics and their big transactions in the offseason, especially the pickup of Dennis Shroeder on the MLE to pair along with Jayson Tatum and Jaylen Brown. We talk about the potential impact that the hire of Ime Udoka could have on this team and if this is finally the year that they are able to take a leap past just being a Playoff team in the East. Finally we talk about a team that is chock- full of young talent, the Houston Rockets. We discussed their big name draft pickups and their ceiling for this season.
The NBA season is right around the corner, and the rumors and preseason updates are still lingering. On today's episode we get into the John Wall trade rumors. We talk about the best potential landing spots for him, and amongst those teams that we talk about include the Clippers, 76ers, and the Celtics. We talk about his current value as a player and whether or not he can return to the version of himself that we saw in Washington (plus maybe with a consistent long range jumper). We also got back into our team previews. The first squad that we covered were the Knicks. We discussed their pickups of guards Kemba Walker and Evan Fournier and if this takes them a step closer to true Eastern Conference Finals contention. We also took some time to talk about the Nuggets and their extension of Aaron Gordon's contract. We talked about MPJ's contract worth (is he a max player?) and the larger role on offense that he will be asked to fill until Jamal Murray is back in the rotation. Finally, we took some time to talk about the Jazz and covered how their additions of Rudy Gay and Eric Paschall help them grow on both ends of the floor.
As the NBA season continues to come in to a start (preseason begins in early October) we keep our conversation on teams to be on the lookout for ahead of the first tip of the 2021-2022 campaign. We took time to talk about the Grizzlies and how their most notable offseason pickup of Steven Adams helps potentially make them a better team on both ends now that they can install some pick and roll offense. We also talk about how Ja Morant has solidified himself as a big game performer and the steps he can take to be (potentially) an All- Star this year. We also spent some time to talk about the Pelicans and how their pickup of Devontae Graham helps them after Lonzo's departure. We talk about his fit with Brandon Ingram and Zion Williamson, and also how deep their guard rotation is. Finally we got into the ever so talked about (I'm being sarcastic) Indiana Pacers and how their coaching change, minor roster change, and possibility of a healthier, more consistent lineup can help push them from being just a Play- In squad to a potential Top 6 contender out East.
On today's installment we took some time to talk about the current state of hip hop and the fire albums that we have gotten over the last couple of weeks. First we got into some good old hip hop talk. We talked about some of our favorite albums of the year and discussed Certified Lover Boy, Call Me If You Get Lost, and even dabbled in some talk about up and coming rap star Baby Keem's upcoming project Melodic Blue. Finally to the NBA stuff we began our official Team Preview series and discussed the 2021-22 campaigns for teams such as the Timberwolves, Wizards, and the Charlotte Hornets. We talked about their offseason pickups (or lack thereof) and outlook for the coming NBA year (which is right just around the corner)
We are back with our 12th installment and today we have finally reached our All- Time Fantasy Draft. First off we took the time to talk about Goran Dragic and the (rumored) buyout talks that he has had with the Toronto Raptors front office. We talk about best fits for him if he were to get bought out by the North. Would a Ben Simmons- Dragic- Embiid- Tobias Harris led squad save the 76ers from mediocrity? How about Dallas? How would a Luka Doncic and Goran Dragic backcourt shake things up out in the stacked West? We also took the time to talk about yet ANOTHER potential addition to the Lakers' already stacked roster, and that potential addition is Deandre Jordan. After being traded from Brookyln to the Pistons, a buyout seems likely and the Lakers seem to be his spot of choice. We talk about it all on today's episode. We are back with another episode and we react to yet another set of player moves and trade rumors. We started things off by talking about the Paul Millsap signing to Brooklyn and discussed how much value he could potentially provide an already packed, star studded Nets lineup. We obviously had to tap into the Ben Simmons conversation given his recent push to be traded from the Philadelphia 76ers, threatening to hold out on Training Camp and playing if he is not dealt by that time. We had a HECTIC last couple of days in the NBA headlined by a very strange, semi- blockbuster trade that sent former Bulls PF Lauri Markkanen to Cleveland. Larry Nance Jr. was also apart of the deal and he was sent to become a Trailblazer while the Bulls acquired high- flyer Derrick Jones Jr. plus some draft compensation. We talked about how the trades affected each team involved, as the Cavs' pickup of Markkanen kept us wondering that lineup will look once the season rolls around. We finally got to our All- time Fantasy Power Forward Draft and chose from a packed, star studded list

Payton Pritchard, Lonzo Ball, and Zion Williamson are just a few of the names that we mentioned. We are back with another edition of our All- Time Fantasy Draft and this time we are talking the shooting guard position. We debate on our picks and even some of our hot takes throughout the Draft (Ty thinks Kobe is the most skilled player ever, that opened up some interesting conversation). We also took some time to talk about the Warriors and their upside this season, especially with the imminent Christmas- day return of Klay Thompson. We also reacted to the news of NBA Execs showing their dissaproval of the Demar Derozan to Chicago move and discussed how deep this team could possibly go and whether or not they are true contenders out in the East.

Since the Summer League is still going on it was only right for us to center our conversation on the young studs throughout the NBA. We started off the episode talking about the upside of the Toronto Raptors next season and how things will work out for them given their current pool of young talent as the post- Kyle Lowry era begins.
