Pregnancy really builds up the birth of the baby. Once it's decided to make life a countdown begins until that life is fully formed. In the past the only thing people did was prepare with a baby shower and maybe a wedding, but now there are gender reveal parties that burn down entire forest and other things that all go into being pregnant. Planned Parenthood handles pregnancy better than any school teacher possibly could, they are actually helping to plan parenthood, the school teach just did have a gym class to teach that day. Day jobs are not the funniest thing in the world to people that want to pursue anything else. The best day job is still the worst job ever because it is simply not the thing a person wants in life. In life some people have jobs or careers which provide fulfillment that makes everything fine, but other people, artist, students, or just nomads have to get a day job in order to live a life in the world without dying. New Year's Resolutions are very important. Resolution's establish a tone for the rest of the year. A lot of people often think that New Year's Resolutions mean once you fail a resolution that they are done with it, but it is a journey throughout the entire year. These resolutions makes a small growth plan to add a bit more information to your life. Failing during a resolution is just another word for learning. I talk about my own growth with resolutions, my respect for those that try, and tips on creating a New Year's Resolution. One of the things I hate the most is when people discourage others during their New Year's Resolution, those people are sad small floppy dicks that have no respect for themselves and need to reflect that on others. I caught Covid and most likely it might be Omicron. After being tested the test only says Covid, but all the symptoms say Omicron; such as runny nose, headache, fatigue (mild or severe), sneezing, sore throat, nausea, difficulty breathing, and diarrhea. The last two symptoms are the only things that make you remember that it's not the flu, it is COVID. I am still currently getting over Covid, but this episode allowed me to personally explain.

This time of year makes it a great time to remember what Christmas is all about...wonderful Christmas movies! Some of my favorite Christmas movies are sometimes easily forgotten, but I love reminding everyone that Gremlins, Jingle All The Way, and The Nightmare Before Christmas are the best Christmas movies among a few others with the exception of Christmas being the backdrop of a movie. Thanksgiving meaning changes every year. It started out in elementary school like a fairytale full of happiness and not insane people sharing a meal then murdering those people that they shared a meal with last year. Thanksgiving is about food and family for most of us, but it is a reminder that this country makes you remember what to be thankful for instead of apologizing for its mistakes in the past. Birthdays are either amazing or terrible, but for me I try to just enjoy the part that I am still living. I do a lot of reflecting when it comes to birthdays especially now that I am a bit older. My birthday is on 11/20 and it's been on that day every since 1987, it is one of those days that I celebrate with my thoughts and memories of those that I have been able to surround myself with and the experiences I lived through and if anyone is wondering what to get me for my birthday, just listening to this podcast is more than enough. Writing makes me very happy and I do it every day. I write in some form to make sure that I stay in practice. One of the ways I do that is by writing a blog called "Smirk Fiction" It is also in podcast form with an automated reader under "Smirk Fiction Podcast". I started writing at a young age once my family was able to get a hold of a computer. This helped me learn how to type in full QWERTY ability before I was taught how to in high school. In order to be a good writer one must read and re-write. It takes a lot of time and patience to be able to sit down and get thoughts out, but that is what makes writing so therapeutic. Words hold honesty and beauty that forces everyone to take a step back and look at the situation using another set of eyes.

Vegans live a different life style. People think that veganism only pertains to food, but it really means a pursuit to living without the conception or use of animal products. This means a lot of things to vegans. It creates a path of division on topics such as how to affect the environment best, sustainable clothing, and honey. But, for me being vegan meant I lost a lot of weight and kept it off by simply respecting not only myself more, but what I put into my body, and even more importantly what I decided to not put into my body.

Abortion recently found itself in another legal battle in Texas where women who choose to get one will be subjected to criminal charges. The limitations on the ability to choose an abortion in America makes women vulnerable to obtaining dangerous options on how to handle an unwanted pregnancy. Women since the beginning of time have been told what to do with their body, what to say, and how much they are worth. Women only recently got the power to vote, divorce, and be seen as capable to live without a man as a provider. Abortion is a pinnacle of liberation and independence. The fear mongering of abortion constantly makes it seem like the only way to protect the children is to control the mother. Controlling the mother does not protect the child though, it puts that child in much more dangerous situations which then puts both the mother and the child in a dangerous life. That makes it clear these laws only want to control women, because if children's safety was a priority all men would be on hormone treatments to make their sperm useless until 25. Nobody is prepared for a child until they are 25, that's the same age to rent a car in most states and it should be the same age to start reproducing. Equal rights needs equality to work.

This explanation dives into the understanding of Mexicans from an American perspective. Being 3rd generation American Mexican provided me with an outlook on both the identity of being Mexican and the identity of being Mexican-American and the identity of being American. This is why it is so hard for Mexicans to unit in America, we have a lot of identities and only one understand of the story. Growing up the amount of times that someone asked about the place I was "from" made me realized they were trying to identify me as something other than American give it that being their purpose or not because in America, Americans are taught that Mexicans live the life of the "other." Feeling like a minorities in cities like Los Angeles, San Francisco, and San Antonio makes no sense since those are cities our ancestors named.

Marriage is a lot of things to people, but mostly it means that a partnership so strong the government needs to break it up. Being raised in a two parent household and having them both being pastors that often officiated weddings put a different attitude about marriage in me. The worst and best parts about marriage constantly remind me of the work that marriage need in order to survive. At least divorce makes all this possible to end and start up over again and again.

Youth seems to always sit in the background of our lives even during the years that we experience it. Getting older makes it feel like youth flees out of our body during the lackluster rotting part of the other side of the bell curve that we look at through ageing eyes. Certain things come and go in our lives, but ageing and not appreciating the beauty that youth brings appears later on in life, mostly near the end. Enjoying the youth even though one only remembers youth makes life easier to understand.

Afghanistan has been America's 20 year war. It lasted through the lives of my friends, family, and countrymen. Watching my country fight a war that never brought an actual answer. The US said they fought terrorism, then they said they were bringing peace, and now they are saying goodbye to the middle east for now. This plan of chaos looks out of place, but after a quick review of history and geo political standings around the world, this is the standard practice of America when leaving a brown country or watching a country that resources no longer benefit them, America silently walks away in order to take further advantage at a later time.

Weed goes by many names, but they all do the same thing and that is get people high~ish. Smoking weed for me has had medical benefits (sleep/anxiety/depression/ etc.) and it has had social benefits, but it is now at a point where there is a lot of information on something that is fairly simple. I have been consuming weed for a little over a decade now at some points being deeper in weed culture, but for the most part it is now receiving this "scientific" attention to it by "weed bros" that really try to hype up a product that is becoming more and more subpar with the addition of commercialization in the industry.

On this episode of Johnny explained I’m explaining COVID-19 and all that that I know about it, what it has done to the world, America, and our own homes. Covid19 was a lot to take in at first and now it is even more to take in with all the information that is out in the world. Not all the information that is out there is correct and that is the information that the professionals have, the none professionals are also releasing incorrect information. In the over year and a half of this pandemic some reliable information has been discovered, but there is so much disinformation out there it easily gets lost in the mix. Right now all we the information we know about the coronavirus is mixed together like a brownie that is put in the same pile of dog poop.

On my way across the country via road trip with my best friend from college and recorded an episode about friends. Friends have a lot to do with the decisions that are made in life.
