The Legendary Song Contest is my attempt at creating a whole Eurovision season.  The concept is simple.  48 countries select a decade.  From that decade a song is selected and will represent them at a Contest complete with semi finals 1 and 2.  Up to 20 voters will then phone in their votes for the Grand Final.  It's all fun, but by goodness listening to this show re-acquaints you with Euro songs lost but not forgotten.  Broadcasting on Mearns FM.

We continue our plough through Europe for the National songs competing to get into the Legendary Song Contest.  Basically it's a DIY Eurovision Song Contest, which will culminate in 20 voters from around the Eurovision World voting to choose their ultimate winner.  It is a pleasure doing this show because I and perhaps you can re-discover songs that perhaps don't get as much airplay these days.

Imagine a Song Contest featuring 48 countries.  Each country is drawn a decade from the 1990s onwards and then from that decade another draw is made to choose a song.  That is the Legendary Song Contest.  Tune into this rather spiffing #Eurovision show to hear more PLUS Jan Johansen, who speaks about his entry for Sweden in 1995.

Join Tommy and Freelance Eurovision journalist Kevin Sherwin as they discuss whether the UK will host next year's Eurovision Song Contest 2023.  The lack of confirmation suggests the BBC may not host the event.  If so, Kevin talks up Aberdeen as host city.  It's a fascinating and interesting chat with opinion and debate.  Kevin has some great knowledge about the Contest so have a listen and enjoy.

This was my final radio show and because of COVID, the actual Eurovision Song Contest was cancelled.  With 25 volunteers from all over Europe, we created our own Grand Final.  It was hardwork, but the end result gave us a nailbiting finish.  Get into the Eurovision mood with this amateur production, but with REAL jury voters.
