God fills us with hope and joy through the power of the Holy Spirit. It may seem worrisome that we have to hand over all our hope to the Holy Spirit's responsibility, but it should give us peace. If you earnestly seek God and ask him to fill you with the Spirit, he is faithful to deliver.
Life challenges are all around us, especially in the Advent season. Our hope lies in the eternal hope of God. We know that he is sovereign over all things. Although it may not be easy, we are taught to enjoy life's journey and hold onto the endurance and encouragement found in scripture.

Today we delve into Psalm 62:1-2. As we progress further into our relationship with God, we can find ourselves becoming busy and not spending as much time with the Father. Sometimes we pride ourselves on busyness, but finding a rhythm to consistently sit in the presence of God does so much for nourishing our soul.
We look at Ephesians 4:29 today and continue our conversation about the power of the tongue. Sometimes it can be hard to hold your tongue when talking to others. Building up each other is essential to the health of the body of Christ. Even when we disagree with each other, we should make every effort to speak calmly.
As the guys discuss taming the tongue, they open up to James 3:3-10. When we talk to others, our words can be used to build each other up or tear each other down. We must be careful with our words and be sure they are aligned with the Word of God.
Today we discuss having friends that are there to support you through life. Using the book of Job, the guys show what his friends did well in the hardest times. We may not always get it right but being intentional with our friendships, especially in hard times, is so vital to our Christian walk.
Today we look at John 15:12-13. Loving God and loving others sacrificially is an integral part of biblical discipleship. As we live in a community, we grow in our love for one another. We need those close-knit relationships, someone who will answer the phone in the middle of the night or lift your spirit when you’re struggling.
Philippians 4:12-13 speaks to living in contentment. No matter what we’re going through, God promises to sustain us, and learning to lean on God for what we need is always the best choice. We can get ourselves into trying circumstances, but learning to live contently with what we have can be the antidote. God provides, and when we’re thankful for what we already have, we can learn to be content.
We look at James 1:2-4 today and discuss persevering in life. Especially when our faith is tested, we have a fantastic opportunity to grow closer to the Lord. Being tested in your faith through trials is guaranteed as a Christian; however, as we walk through those times, our walk should become closer and closer to God.
As we wrap up our discussion on Romans 8, the guys share how God works with us and through us when we are suffering–not because wants us to suffer but because he wants us to grow into a deeper relationship with him. We can exemplify Christ in our struggles, and he gives us the strength to walk through them with him.
Struggle is part of being a believer. We were never promised an easy life as Christians, but hardships ultimately lead us closer to Christ. If we face challenges we know that we are on the right path. The guys discuss Romans 8:16-18 as it speaks to this concept.
Romans 12:9-13 teaches us what the characteristics of a Christian should be. We look at what it means to live out those characteristics daily and how to hold tight to what is good.
As the guys look at Romans 12:1-3 they discuss humility and living as a living sacrifice, God's great mercy for us, and being proactive against sin's influence. Renewing our mind is a critical tool in our belt for being a living sacrifice for Christ.
Today the guys discuss practical ways of trusting God and following him when things are difficult. Sometimes the situations in our lives are hard and we don't understand why bad things happen to us and in the world, but God is always present.
Self care is the modern term for an old principle God exemplified to us from the very beginning of the Bible. Work is important but the Sabbath and taking time to be quiet with God is a vital part of maintaining your relationship with him.
Looking at John 6:60-71 the guys discuss why it's important to realize there will always be hard teachings. Dedication and being sold out for Christ are vital to walking the Christian faith. It requires intentionality and priority.
In Matthew 14:25-32, soon after feeding the 5,000, Jesus walked on water. Peter then stepped out of the boat but soon doubted and started to sink. What do we do when we are asked to step out, take action, and follow in faith but the storms around us begin to roar?
Today we discuss the feeding of the 5,000 Matthew 14:15-21 It can be messy, time-consuming, and a struggle to be a disciple-maker. Sometimes we just don't want to put in the time and effort it takes to disciple others. Jesus shows us how he can take the minimum and make the most of it.
In this episode, we conclude our discussion of the parable of the sower. We talk about making a plan to spread the seed of the gospel and being liberal in throwing that seed. Being selfless and focusing on the mission of the Gospel is fundamental to living into the Faith.
In 2 Corinthians 9:6-15 Paul talks to the church at Corinth about how necessary it is to meet the needs of others through sharing of the resources we've been given. Through studying the word of God we can learn what it means to truly be biblically generous with our time, talents, and treasures.
The guys continue their discussion from last week and unpack the parable of the sower following Matthew 13:18-23. The sower is you and the soil is the people you encounter daily. We must accept the responsibility of sowing what God has entrusted us with.
Today we start talking through Matthew 13:3-9 — The parable of the sower. We should be diligently and generously sharing the message of Christ, asking "where can I sow the seed every day?", without being preoccupied with whether or not we will ever see the results.
The guys look at 1 John 2:15-16 and discuss being active in the world around you for the mission of Christ. Living the life that is truly life does not mean separating yourself from the world, it means separating yourself from the world system.
Today we look at 1 Timothy 6:17-19. Giving to others is one of the keys to being good stewards of what God gives us and He expects us to give generously. Hoarding up possessions on this earth should not be the end goal.
We continue our discussion on learning contentment in this life. Specifically, we discuss guarding ourselves against greed and watching out for common pitfalls.
Today the guys discuss the dichotomy of living with contentment and prosperity in the Lord. God didn’t call us to be comfortable; he called us to do his work. Everything we have is used as a resource engine to build the kingdom.
Looking at the work of God in the life of Joseph, we can see clearly that God was moving in Joseph’s life through adversity. Today we finish our discussion of Josephs life and how we can apply the same principles to our lives.
The men discuss adversity and analyze the life of Joseph. When we are persecuted, or challenged by life, as followers of Christ, do we ask, “Why Lord?” Or do we ask “What Lord” like Joseph?
We pick up the second half of our discussion of Psalm 1 today, as we talk about staying close to God through the continuous study and application of scripture.
The guys discuss the practical application of the scriptures, maintaining our relationship with God, and warning signs to watch for in our lives.
In this week's episode, the guys discuss spiritual warfare. We are entrusted with the Holy Spirit and the full armor of God to fight against the schemes of the enemy.
The armor of God plays an essential role in preparing us to be good stewards of all that God has given us. follow the guys as we delve into putting on the full armor of God as outlined In Ephesians chapter 6.
This week we finish our discussion of the Beatitudes with one which is most counterintuitive. "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me."
In our third week of the Beatitudes we pick up with "Blessed are the merciful for they shall receive mercy". The guys discuss stewarding the grace and mercy God shows us, by showing it to others. Then we continue on with "Blessed are the pure in heart" and "Blessed are the peacemakers".
This week Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane continue with their discussion of the Beatitudes. They cover the 3rd and 4th Beatitudes, which includes blessed are the meek and blessed are those who hunger.

We are called by Jesus to have a servant's heart. Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane acknowledge that Jesus himself came to this earth to serve. How do we remain joyful while putting others before ourselves?
God promises to meet our needs, but we've got to do our part. Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane remind us that it will look different for each one of us.

Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane remind us that Jesus sees the heart and a wonderful example of that is the story of Zacchaeus.
Pastor Steve, Ray and Duane challenge us to reflect upon the ways God is asking us to give -- and they are not just talking about monetarily. Listen and be encouraged by the stories of those who have been obedient to the call as they creatively bless others with the peace they have in Jesus.
For any serious follower of Christ, Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane pose this question: Am I living in such a way that I'm honoring God first, and am I in constant acknowledgment that God owns it all including me?
Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane reflect on God's upside-down economy and they help us remember that God redeems our time, financial gifts, etc. God blesses the giver as we reinvest in others.
Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane encourage us to seek God's kingdom first. This brings us to a place of peace even in a tumultuous economy where we may be tempted to worry and spend recklessly instead of seeking God's will to be led to a place of hope and a way forward.
Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane discuss just how hard it is to trust God as we enter what they call the season of spending which is bookended by Back to School and Christmas.
Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane discuss moving beyond self-imposed behavior modification in our lives and instead moving to a place where we can truly trust God with every detail of our lives.
This week, Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane discuss what it means to embrace God's gift. God sacrificed his one and only Son for us, and since we were created in His image, we were also created to be generous givers.
Where is your treasure? Are you using it to honor Him in how you give, save and live? Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane continue talking about the biblical warnings of wealth.
Pastor Steve, Ray, and Duane continue to ask: Who or What is in charge of our life? Is it Christ or is it the world's ways and wealth? Are we handcuffed by a set amount of income or standard of living He may disapprove of?
We are wealthy in so many ways by the hand of God. Pastor Steve, Ray and Duane ask themselves and others -- Are we/you living out of His endless bounty? Again Solomon, who asked for wisdom, was done in by his great wealth in the end.
Listen today and be reminded of God's promises and warnings regarding stewardship of our finances. Even King Solomon, the wealthiest man to ever walk the earth, prayed for God to "Give me only my daily bread" Proverbs 30:8b.
Accountability is God's love language according to Pastor Steve, Ray and Duane. In this episode, scripture says "You are not your own," but there is encouragement for us too through faith in Jesus Christ.
There is no Plan B. Listen as Pastor Steve, Ray and Duane reflect upon the surreal truth that our loving Father actually wants to partner with us to rule, reign, and manage his creation both here and now and with Him in eternity.
This week, Pastor Steve, Ray and Duane candidly share how they learned the hard way that in God's economy some of our most significant pay-offs are not monetary.
Each of us have been given an ability or gift that is valuable in building up the body of Christ. We are asked to use our gift(s) for the Church and to bring God glory with our lives.
