Our public school staff are an untapped resource when it comes to understanding the impact of schools on our students, families, and communities. Take a moment to listen as one of the teachers from John T. White ES, Mrs. Boyd, describes her love for education and those she serves. Mrs. Boyd returned to the classroom out of retirement during the Covid-19 pandemic to serve her community, and it was a joy to sit down and listen to her story.
Take a tour of Southwest High School's incredible broadcast journalism facility and program. Darcy McCready, one of the instructors of the program shares gives an overview, including how the bond election helped and how the school competes state-wide and nationally.
In this episode, we chat with Roxanne Martinez, the president of the Diamond Hill Northside Youth Association about impactful stories happening in the Diamond Hill pyramid. Her organization serves 250+ children, fostering their physical and intellectual development and engaging them in leadership, sportsmanship, self-respect, and life enrichment.
