You know I will complain, complain, complain when expenses are high so I gotta celebrate when the income is unexpectedly high, and in April money was coming out of the walls.
Using the concept of an MVP, minimum viable product, as a way to try things before you drop money on a concept.
One income plus one time big expenses means those paychecks go quick. A recap of everything we spent money on in March.
I just think you're incredibly smart and capable and I want you to know I believe in you.

It's so easy to get attached to stock that you're holding and can be hard to know when to sell it. But especially when it was part of your compensation from a job. I finally let go of stock I've been holding onto because it represented my career growth and my blood, sweat, and (literal) tears.
Feeling lucky to have extra money coming in and also like I spent it in the most boring way possible except for jussssst one splurge.
Funding IRAs, medical bills, concert tickets, and other places my money and energy are spending time.
February was our first month living entirely on just my paychecks! And candidly our savings rate fell into the single digits. This episode has the scoop.

Every month I do a little recap of how we spent. January was weird and boring at the same time.
I went to Costco and made a list of all the things I almost put in my cart but didn't and then I shared that list with you.
Okay nine goals for 2024. I think the first one will make you laugh and number 8 will be your favorite.
From figuring out how to use a public EV charger to finally signing up for that cooking class, a list of things I feel happy and proud about from 2023.
Books, shows, podcasts and even IG accounts that I spent some quality time with in 2023. A non-exhaustive list!
I mean, I still got like a couple thousand dollars in value even being super lazy. Here's the breakdown!
December was simultaneously a frugal-ish month and also a month we dropped major $$$ on a vacation that I didn't totally love. Come hear all about it!
Most popular episodes, how much money I've made, how the ads work in general, how many people listen per week!
I know it seems like I have no filter and I overshare constantly but believe it or not there are things I have been holding back!
How did I do? The goals I fully completed and the ones I abandoned or totally face planted on.
Big progress towards retirement savings goals in 2023 but not so much progress towards wrapping my brain around actually doing it.
I try to look on the bright side but here are 4 things that drove me bananas last year.
Five things that I absolutely loved in 2023.

I've been choosing a word of the year and it's showing up in ways I didn't totally expect.
TWO IMPORTANT THINGS: One, I mistakenly said it was Day 12 because I was tired and counting is hard. Two, I forgot to tell you the total spent! It was $951 for two people. That's around $71 a month.
Peloton minutes, books read, hours outside! There's lots of things you can obsessively track.
I'm a big fan of the effective altruism movement!
The Life You Can Save - Enter your income and get a suggested annual budget for giving
2023 was completely bonkers in the stock market. My net worth has been waving around like those inflatable guys outside a car dealership.
My credit score from January to December and two times I realized how fickle (and important!) the score can be.
One more day on food, and then we'll move onto other topics. I was reminded that we're not all wired the same and I am wired to hate doing pantry challenges.
Everyone's favorite spending category--food! How much two people spent to feed themselves in 2023.
Every month I'm like how did we spend all this money?
What I use to track my spending. Monarch pulls in transactions automatically and then once I month I copy-paste everything into My Wealth Dashboard for allll the beautiful graphs. (And so my data isn't ever held hostage by a third party.) These are both referral links!
