TRANSITIONAL BILINGUAL EDUCATION: It’s an educational theory that states that children can most easily acquire fluency in a second language by first acquiring fluency in their native language. MAINTENANCE BILINGUAL EDUCATION: The student is able to retain their native language and culture, use this familiar knowledge to continue academic instruction while learning the language and culture. This program keeps the student on a forward moving academic path, maintains self-esteem, and the student in the end is bicultural and bilingual. IMMERSION PROGRAMMES: It’s an intensive course, maybe can be about learn language. In this course the participants who wish to learn a foreign language coexist for a period of time with native language volunteers who wish to learn.
