Nick Wallberg & Tram Sessions put bands on random Melbourne trams for our commuting pleasure.
Their mission is simple, to smash our mundane public transport commute with live music from established local and international superstars and provide a platform for up and coming artists.
Born in Sweden the land that reared music ground breakers such as Roxette, Ace of Base, Yngwie Malmsteen and the little known Abba, Nick Wallberg made Australia his home.
Looking to combine his passion for live music with a uniquely Melbourne icon, Nick experimented with Tram Sessions guerrilla style and soon realised he'd need to get the Yarra Trams on board (yep, pun intended) with the Tram Sessions vision. After some (legal) stalking and months of calling like jilted boyfriend Tram Sessions was granted a trial and has now become the most interactive, yet illusive live music event in Melbourne.
And for those who can't see a Tram Session live, all performances are recorded and available to enjoy of the Tram Sessions website.
Tram Sessions has hosted local and international musos including Ben Kweller, Amanda Palmer, Lanie Lane, The Vaudeville Smash, Will and the People, Alpine, Xavier Rudd and Paul Kelly. Check it out !

Annie Leonard (co-creator of the enormously successful The Story of Stuff) brings us her latest empowering story, The Story of Change recorded at the 2013 Sustainable Living Festival, Melbourne. She urges us to put down our credit cards and start exercising our citizen muscles to build a more sustainable, just and fulfilling world.
“I’ve come to see that we have two parts to ourselves; it’s almost like two muscles – a consumer muscle and a citizen muscle. Our consumer muscle, which is fed and exercised constantly, has grown strong. So strong that “consumer has become our primary identity, our reason for being. We’re told so often that we’re a nation of consumers that we don’t blink when the media use “consumer and “person interchangeably“.

Dean O’Callaghan and the Good Brew Co are on a mission to make our beer drinking experience environmentally sustainable – one amber ale at a time.
Deano says his micro-brewed beer is great for the planet, vitamin-packed, a must for vegans and promotes excellent social cohesion.
Growing-up in a environmentally and socially active hippie family, Deano took the logical career path; into computer programming. While living in Europe teaching English in Germany, he used ‘guerrilla’ lesson plans to teach mid-level executives at Shell about his views on the environmental impact of the oil industry and the world banking system.
When his father bought a brewery, he returned to Australia knowing the environmental impact of beer production could be, what he calls it ‘hideous’. In fact, one US beer company calculated the full life cycle of a 6 pack cost 3.18 Kgs* in green house gas emissions (7 pounds for y’all without a metric system). So Deano started the Good Brew Co which kes micro-breweries more sustainable by converting them to solar He also brews his own organic beer and soft drinks and delivers the kegs by tricycle to parties and festivals.
Deano is also the founder of Fest La Frog, which aims to be Australia’s greenest festival – a no waste, no trace, solar powered, bio-dynamic music and permaculture festival on French Island, Victoria.

A professional solo classical clarinetist with an addiction to cigarettes and alcohol, Phil Sidebottom says his choices were based on those of a 'loser' and a PLOM (Poor Little Old Me) . Given two years to live if he didn't change his lifestyle, Phil discovered that what he really loved to do was make a difference.
Green Hearts Recyclers, based in Spotswood, Melbourne is Phil's sustainability enterprise which reduces the demand on Australia's landfill by collecting and re-selling commercial waste - used office furniture and equipment - helping keep valuable products out of landfill. All profits from the proceeds of the sale of these goods are then donated to these 5 charities in the community - The Think Pink Living Center, The Lighthouse Foundation, Sids and Kids, Ronald McDonald House and Pets Haven Animal Shelter.
