The Vine is a dynamic community of faith called to build the family of God, transforming lives, cities and societies by the intimate presence of Jesus Christ.
18 Feb 2024 | Hello Church! As we continue our year in intimacy, we will be sharing a message on what stops us from living generously instead of a lifestyle of consistent generosity. This does take abundent trust in God however, through this will lead you into understanding his character, mercy, love and goodness. Which in turn opens yourself faith, peace and intimacy with God.
25 Feb 2024 | Hello Church! Susanna Lynam is sharing with a One Off sermon on Intimacy. As you join think about what impacts your intimacy with God and ultimately your trust and faith. Whatever the reason may be, many times we are afraid of his challenge and conviction that he may ask us to give up and surrender. Today, let us lean into this and look into the mirror to see what we need to do to deepen our intimacy in Him.
28 Jan 2024 | Join us as we shift the series to look at the things we turn to when we are not fully satisfied in God himself. Jesus told us to be in the world, but not of the world, which is a key difference when we fail to find our fullness of intimacy in Christ. How can we position ourselves to honour and enjoy God's creation without idolising it?
21 Jan 2024 | Would we rather have God or have his blessings? As we continue our series and look into What Stops Us from deepening our intimacy with God. Today we will look into ways we can tell if we are worshipping the blessings of God instead of God himself.
14 Jan 2024 | Join us as we dive into why we stop short in deepening our personal intimacy with God. We all learn and grow from others' experiences with God, but if this is the only way we grow then we have stopped short from what God has called us to do.
07 January 2024 | This week we started our new sermon series on intimacy with God. The series takes a closer look at our relationship with God being the very essence of why we were created.
24 December 2023 | Join us this Christmas Eve, we will be celeberating the way in which not just the original Christmas was messy, but how Christ continues to come to mess things up today in ways that will bring us life.
17 December 2023 | Join us as we look at how Mary and Joseph’s arrival in Bethlehem was anything but perfect. What should have been a homecoming of sorts in a small and tight-nit community becomes a place of embarrassment and rejection. Many of our families can also be like this. There are some of us who have been rejected by our own families, or we ourselves have rejected those in our families. The brokenness of the family unit is one of the key things Jesus has come to transform and reconcile.
10 December 2023 | Join us as we look at the messy contrast there is in the prelude to the birth of Jesus. One shamed in their Profession and another in their social circle. How might we see God within the messes we face, and position ourselves for a hopeful future?
3 December 2023 | Join us as we start our Advent Series Christmess where we will unpack the tension in the 'perfect' christmas and the reality of it in the first century.

30 April 2023 | After realizing the Hebrew midwives failed to carry out his genocide plans, he now commands his own people to do it. He calls on them to take any Hebrew boys that are born and to throw them into the Nile. The word for ‘throw them’, it means ‘to abandon’. Pharoah wants them to abandon the infant children to the waters, abandon them to drowning, abandon them to death.
23 April 2023 | This week take a closer look what it mean to say "No" even when it's tough, even if the 'No" will cost something valuable. Two midwives, Shiphrah and Puah, have an important role in the exodus story (Exodus 1:15-21) as they disobey Pharaoh's order of killing infants if they are a boy, which then sets in motion God's plan for his people.
16 April 2023 | The story of Exodus begins with reality of God's people being in slavery. It also gives us a picture of a God who cares for his people that He chooses to step into our lives today to free us from our sins. There is no sin that Jesus can't redeem us from. That freedom starts today as we accept Christ as our redeemer.
02 April 2023 | This week we take a closer look at how God assures Elijah in the midst of him feeling all alone and without hope. As he comes before God and makes a commitment to let go of the past and to move into the new future that God has for Him. He begins to rediscover the faithfulness of God in the midst of hopelessness.
19 March 2023 | All of us face a certain degree of emotional exhaustion. We need to understand is that God is, in an of himself, an emotional being. In other words, emotions are not in the first instance a human characteristic but a divine one. God has the ability to not only think and to will but also to feel. Scripture reveals a whole host of emotions God has – love, joy, peace, anger, compassion, passion, frustration, good. Because he has made us in His image, humans are also emotional beings. But of course we know that our emotions, like our minds and bodies, are influenced greatly by the fall of humanity into sin. God’s emotions are not impacted nor shaped by sin, but ours are.

5th March | Rivers, by their very definition, are designed to always be moving. When a river stops moving or flowing, it ceases to become a river and becomes what is commonly known as a lake. God has not given us a ‘Lake Model’ vision here at the Vine. Now more than ever we are in a critical time of our city’s history where the church must move forward again, flowing outward to its city like never before.
26 February 2023 | Our getting to yes with God might mean different things for different people. For some it might mean saying yes to follow Jesus for the first time; for others it might be saying yes to be all in with Jesus – maybe we’re holding back in certain parts of our lives. For others it might be saying yes, or coming to agreement with God, in a certain situation, getting to Yes with God can sometimes be difficult for all of us.
19 February 2023 | This week we’ll be having a one of message on “Be Courageous” the focus is God is not downplaying the conditions Joshua is facing. But courage is formed in us when we shift our focus from our conditions to our convictions, and in through those are able to embrace our fears, release our failures, and take up our faith, so we can move forward to live the kind of life God has called us to live.
12 February 2023 | Isaiah ends his prophetic word of hope for the new with Israel by peeling back the curtain on the end of all things and inviting his people to get a glimpse of the hope there is in what God has in plan for the world as a whole. This prophetic glimpse is a picture of the New Jerusalem that will come as Jesus returns for the second time, bringing heaven and Earth together as one, and setting up a longed for hope that remains today.
5 February 2023 | Names are central in Scripture. God focuses on names and they mean a lot to him. There are so many times in the biblical narrative where God renames something, or does a play on word with names. Jesus did the same as he tried to speak a purpose over someone or release in them new hope. So God does so in Isaiah 62. He says that Israel will be called by a new name, one that now resembles the character they will have in the future.
29 January 2023 | When God moves in a new way and does a new thing, it always will result in us joining him in a new proclamation. His new action leads to our new song. A song that echoes the new work he is doing, and hence is ‘new’ itself. And that song is worship, it is glorification of God and it is drawing to attention the new work of God around us. God puts these new songs in us, so we can praise and glorify him in a way that is relevant to what he is doing
15 January 2023 | “Fasting was always what Israel would do when they wanted to start a new journey with God. Whenever they wanted to connect with God in a new way, or position themselves to receive something new from God, they would start with a fast. Fasting was deeply rooted on the desire of seeking God not a religious act but has everything to do with the position of the heart drawing closer to him.”

4 December 2022 | This Sunday we will be talking about what it means to live securely during uncertainty. This idea of living securely was a great promise of better days – a time when the Jewish people would no longer need to live in fear, need to live in a foreign land, but will be secure in their place, secure in his protection and love. This future hope in the Old Testament continues to be our great hope today.
27 November 2022 | This Sunday we will be starting our Advent Series on “The Promise of Better Days”. This week’s message will paint the picture of what it looked like for God’s people waiting for a Saviour to be born.
20 November 2022 | This Sunday, Ps Andrew will be sharing with us some truths on what it means to fall and fail. That even as Christians we too can fall and fail under the weight of sin and bad decisions in life. The underlining truth of all the challenges and hardships we face is resilience. The kind of resilience that God wants for his people, to rise above the hardships and challenges.

We explore how this is a table of peace and reconciliation where the grace of God is poured out like what Jesus showed us through his life. Come and find out what is in store as we sit at this table prepared with love.
18 September 2022 | This Sunday, Ps Andrew shares a new way of looking at ‘The Valley of the Shadow of Death’. It is not just a dark and scary place, but rather a path that takes us to higher ground, with correction and growth that helps us along the way. It is through these times - God meets us, comforts us, and shows us more of who he is, while we become more of who he calls us to be.
11 September 2022 | This Sunday, Ps Andrew will be asking the important question of, who is leading us? We will explore being led by God and how He guides us in the way in which we should go. Being led means that we release having our way and allow God to lead us by still waters and restore our soul.

14 August 2022 | This Sunday we are reminded through the teachings of James how God sees people – as equals and without discrimination. The fact is that wherever God has placed us has everything to do with how he can and will use us.
5 June 2022 | This Sunday we are introduced to another seemingly insignificant character from the book of Acts — Rhoda. We can sometimes be so immersed with the things we do in church or ‘in the name of God’, that we forget to connect with the world we live in. Through her example, Ps Andrew invites us to all be more like Rhoda, to be the bridge between the church and the world.
29 May 2022 | This Sunday Ps Andrew brings to us the conversion of apostle Paul from Saul through the obedience of Aninias. Whether they are in response to grand actions or seemingly insignificant things, we are all God’s chosen instrument, not knowing the results of what our obedience may bring.
22 May 2022 | This Sunday we pick up where we left off with 'The Unfinished Story' sermon series looking at Philip and the Ethiopian. Today, we also find ourselves in a similar position, being called to partner with Christ and continue writing this unfinished story.
6 March 2020 | This Sunday Ps Andrew shares from Jesus’ instructions to his disciples as he sends them out into the mission field. 13 February 2022 | This Sunday we continue our sermon series with the dream of Pontius Pilate’s wife, where she was confronted with Jesus’ innocence, and the injustice that is about to happen.
