Our party finds themselves calling it a night at the crossroads south of Kabronoa where Thea and Gideon have a heart to heart about life. She expresses her frustration at 'giving up her life' to another and not wanting to be connected to another being that's always in her head. Gideon opens up a small space to chat, giving Thea a break from Tranchevant. Rygolean and Varek have their own chat while Nadal goes fox hunting for Belorage's dinner. Artemis hangs out while Sam makes a few new friends.
At daybreak, a military convoy moves south and Varek gets to see their Uncles banner flying among the lead cavalry. He makes a final report to Lt Alma. An older gentleman approached the group, delivering a mini keg of stout to Sam, who slips him two blue pills. They pack up and hit the road, spending the entire day to Llassy on the road west.
It’s fairly busy and Llassy is known as the gateway to the west. Before they see the city, they can see the purple and black spires lined in silver reflecting in the distance as it stands over the hills. To the south are open plains and speckles of trees with a small settlement. There are three windmills and a few houses close together. The road brings you through the sparsely laid trees and splits in several directions that all lead into farmland that approach the city's walls.
All of the roads rejoin at different places in the farmlands to the southwest of the city walls. The group can see two entrances, one to the northern side of the wall, and one on the more southern side of this wall. There are people working in the fields beginning to plant their crops that they hope to see bountiful in the coming months. They decide to enter the closest one and Sam calls upon a raven to help them find a purple one.
The party finds themselves at an historic archives, where Gideon meets his aunt and uncle for the first time. His mother had sent a letter and item. They discuss the growing problems across the realm and start to put some of the pieces together before the two elder elves send them to the pre-festival dinner held at Castle Von Drak.
The party arrives, being announced as “Black Dawn” before spreading out and mingling. Thea and Varek approach Isabelle, Nadal heads for the food, and they all end up reconvening before a startling name is announced that shocks Nadal.

The party finds themselves in hot water as they figure out the puzzle, giving their own life force to break the barriers surrounding the carapace chiseled key. Knowing that it must be approaching dawn and they didn't want to miss their ride, they quickly moved through the rest of the rooms before coming on an office that held evidence of potential foul play. As they emerged through the end of the tunnel, they found themselves behind a secret passageway inside an unknown office. Hearing a scream from the floor above, followed by a moment of silence before another scream, Thea erupted from the room with Nadal and Varek giving chase. Not wanting to leave someone in need, they moved upstairs and slammed through the doors to the master bedroom only to find themselves facing a most grizzly murder.
Glowing red eyes underneath a shadowy cloak and a creepy smile flashed to the party before it leapt to the grounds from the balcony and snagged its horse. The party gave chase as the town guard showed and apprehended them on the count of murder against the Talo family. Without a governor presiding over the city, word was sent for both verification of identities as well as assistance in the investigation. Sam escaped by turning into a beetle and giving chase while Asterion moved as fast as genasily possible to catch up to the cloaked figure. He followed it to the north docks where he moved under water and followed it out of town, only for a larger ship to take a stop next to it and return to the ports of Ehthenae. Asterion followed the figures coach back to the Oakeshield conservatory.
Inside the stockade, Nadal found themselves subdued with a bag over their heads. Taking a moment of silence, they reached out, praying to their patron for assistance, but at a great cost.
The party was released, on grounds that they would catch the killer within 36 hours. They regrouped, and moved south through the city towards the Oakenshield Conservatory's merchant building.

Our party begins the night with the giant crypt door exploding into Asterions face, sending him tumbling to the ground. Gideon moved quickly to the side to avoid it, only for them to be met with a two headed creature standing upwards of seven feet high. They immediately engaged in combat, slowly dealing the damage they needed before Sam and Gideon rammed a bench into him at full speed. The force of the bench sent him tumbling back where he moved into a magical field surrounding an obelisk that held a strange looking rock. The creature fell forward, its back side melted. Thea looted its pockets, finding a sapphire pyramid that she discovered fit into the a tapestry of a woman on the wall. The group spent an hour testing and experimenting, Gideon found a piece of a journal by Duke Austera Balokaii that brought to light the war of the 2nd age, and how he had made the decision to abandon the Drow in place of a greater conflict. Sam turned into a beetle and went up to the surface with his new friend, 'Beetles', to scout the temple.
The party made their beds and took to resting, with the elves taking shifts of watch. During the night, each of them had their own strange dream of events scattered across time.
Gideon, Varek, Thea and Nadal left Asterion to cover down for Sam while he finished his rest and moved back to the crypts. They walked through, discovering that the swords on the mausoleums caskets was not across their bodies, but through it. They found at the other side a single large door. Entering it, they were left face to face with an empty room save but a single throne. On it sat an armored elven body, dried up to the ages with a sword through his chest that his fingers still wrapped firmly around. The blade glistened in the light, the only signs of blood soaked into the plush chair in which the body sat. Varek, wanting to remove the blade had second thoughts at the idea of desecrating the body. As him and Thea returned to the door, Gideon strolled past them before planting his foot on the figures chest and ripping the sword out.

Isabella hands the rock over to Thea, the carriage looking at her curiously while she explained the stressful expectations from her and Vareks mother. The stone glowed a pale warm light with black spots appearing and disappearing across its surface. The party discussed, with Gideon doing his best to explain what may have happened. Without warning, the carriage came to a stop and Isabella moved to the forward one with her father before the carriages turned north to the city of Ehthenae.
The carriages split apart, with the party getting dropped off at one of the Inns. They observed the city, taking note of strange claw marks across the stone buildings. Curious, Thea asked an elven man who was passing by for any info on them. The man looked weary, but answered. He informed them of Tu-Pali's temple closing, and the gods forsaking the city. Curious, they redirected from the inn, not checking in and went straight for the temple...

Rolling highlands stretched for hundreds of miles, unobstructed by the harshness of the north, filled with lush greenery that was dotted by trade routes and elven cities. At its center where the three rivers converged, a circular city sat behind walls built to the sky. Wyverns dotted the air between the four towers that sat at the primary cardinal directions, their wings spreading as they periodically took to the air for their rounds. The city curved up a tall, elegant spire lined with beautiful chromatic gardens and flowing waterfalls. It stood as a testament to the joint venture of elves and dwarves of the previous age. The spires peak housed a single palace that dotted the clouds, owning the title of Epskil.
A pale white hand curled across the edge of a window while a figure stood atop a wrapped balcony, staring down across the high hills of Budri Veldt. A pair of pale blue eyes slowly opened, a look of panic growing across her face. It was the first time in her life that she had ever experienced that feeling. What was it? The feeling of darkness, of blindness, of isolation. An elderly elven man stepped into the tower floor from a dimly lit stairwell. The crevices that lined his face showed his age, even among his race.
“Thamior, Ha na-lelya, im tur-baw” (it’s gone..I can’t see.)
The elder stopped in his tracks, stunned at her words.
“nin ris, wha ceri-cin—" (your highness? What do you –)
“Ennas na- a beleg fuin i balind nin” (Its gone. There is a great darkness blinding my divination.)
He stood there for a moment in panic filled thought.
“Nin rís, mín must nall- i thangail “ (Your highness, we must gather our forces..)
“Leith- i arat decree a notifui nin herven” (Send the royal decree, alert my husband.)
