The African Bio-genome project has been implemented at such a great time promising to sequence the genomes of 100,000 native species to safeguard biodiversity in Africa. When the DRC was ravaged by war, Dr Dennis Mukwege stepped up to help women and children that had suffered sexual violence, helping more that 500,000 women recover their dignity and heal from the terrible afflictions of war. He started a hospital called the "Panzi hospital" that has carried on his work. He was awarded the Nobel Prize in 2018 for his outstanding medical craftsmanship and his heart for humanity even in the middle of war and death threats. We discuss his life achievements and the lesson we can all learn from him with an upcoming doctor from the DRC Ms Claudia Buhendwa.
