When we first started in 2012 we were just trying to shed light on certain topics and ideals that weren’t welcomed conversations in the church. We wanted to tackle tough topics and set a stage where we could grow. Today we are still dedicated to having honest conversations as Christians.

I grew up with a lot of inhibition. I was the girl who would never act on how I felt. I would numb my emotions because I thought they were unholy or bad. This caused a lot of anxiety and compounded pain. I became so numb. I never cared about vulnerability or expressing myself in an honest way. So, a lot of my struggles were swept under heavy rugs and locked away.
This led me to find an outlet called pornography and self-pleasure. It was such an unsafe way for me to express my bottled-up feelings and only led me to more guilt and shame.
If you are struggling with Pornography, please reach out to someone who will provide a safe space to express the feelings behind the addiction.
The bible warns us to "Flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a person commits are outside the body, but whoever sins sexually, sins against their own body." 1 Cor 6:18 When we suppress emotions we are led astray by the adversary of our souls, and we have a skewed idea of what life really is. We look through lens of shame, guilt, anger and impatience.
God created intimacy and He desires for us to express it in a safe environment that fosters love and acceptance, not guilt and condemnation.

Reach out and let's talk about this. As always this is a judgement free zone. We overcome together! Love you. -Kayan

In this episode I share my personal struggles with waiting on God.
When waiting on God we can fall in the trap of waiting and watching; where we are so frustrated because we see everyone reaping where we have sowed. It can be disheartening to watch everyone around seemingly flourish. James warns us about this: He tells us that when we watch others it eats at our gratitude and gives us a heaping case of jealousy. (James 4:2) Ask God to help you wait.
I struggled a lot growing up with waiting that was rooted in routine. So, I watched my biological clock, and this made for poor decision making. Yes, some beautiful things were birthed out of my ashes, but I would rather not have my life burn down, I'd rather wait.

What are some things to do while we wait?

  • We can work!
  • Develop our gifts and talents
  • Give into others' lives
  • Practice gratitude
  • Enjoy our lives

We learn to love when we let go, hold nothing on Earth so tightly that we can't enjoy the journey of it.  Wait for the LORD; be strong and take heart and wait for the LORD.
Hang in there, God sees us, and we are not forgotten.

Who we are?
When we first started in 2012 we were just trying to shed light on certain topics and ideals that weren’t welcomed conversations in the church. We wanted to tackle tough topics and set a stage where we could grow. We are still dedicated to creating a space for honest conversations.

We are founded on the principles of Revelation 12:11, Believing that we truly overcome by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of our testimony.

Come join in our honest conversations.
