Lad and Dad Away Days are to remind people of the memories of football and talk about the experience of going to the football with your dad or lad. We talk all things Wembley and about our time of coming to Wembley. Niall (Lad) and Gary (Dad) have been following Manchester City together since Niall was 4 years old. His first game was Wembley in 1999 for the Division 2 playoff final and he and his Dad have had a season ticket since for Manchester City.
Listen to our podcast here and we don't want to talk too much about expectations of the game and about stats and facts just pure memories and stories of our time watching Manchester City as Lad and Dad.
We know many of our football friends go to football with their Dad and this is to remind us of those times we all have.
For now it will be about our time watching Manchester City Football Club only because that is who we support but who knows where we could get too in the long run as we would love to hear other Lad and Dad stories from other teams too. Just not Man United, Tottenham or Everton haha.

Lad and Dad head to Sheffield United Away. We talk all things about Maine Road since it was 100 years since the 1st game was played at Maine Road. A 2-1 win for the Treble winners and now we have won all 3 games at the start of the season.
1st away game of the season and the treble winners start with a strong win against Burnley.
We head down to Wembley for the first game of the season in the community shield vs last years best runners up Arsenal. The treble winners are back and so are we! We hope you enjoy!
Manchester City take on Manchester United in the 1st FA CUP Final Manchester Derby. Manchester City won the double and take the next step to winning the TREBLE with the Champions League Final the weekend after in Istanbul.
Dad and Lad head to Brighton away, Adam joins Dad on this trip on a Wednesday night. Up The Blues
Fulham away in the Premier League for Manchester City. We head down to Fulham on the minibus. Niall returns to the podcast this weekend and we talk all things Man City and our first memories of Fulham away days.
Dad and Lad head to Wembley for the Semi Final of the FA Cup. We played Sheffield United and will now face Manchester United in the final of the FA Cup.
FC Bayern Munich away in the quarter final of the Champions League. Dad, Martin and Mark are on this podcast talking about their trip to Munich and their thoughts on the atmosphere.
Southampton away, we recorded this podcast 3 days after the game and just before the home Champions League quarter final against Bayern Munich. We hope you enjoy this podcast.
Crystal Palace Away with Lad and Dad Away Days and Bobby Fulham. We havent scored a goal when we have gone with Bobby so this was 3rd time lucky. Manchester City headed to Selhurst Park for the 5.30pm kick off. We talk about our trips to Crystal Palace including watching Charlton Vs Man City at Selhurst Park in the 80s.

We head to Bristol City FC for the 5th round of the FA Cup. This is our 2nd trip to Bristol City we last went for the Semi Final of the League Cup. Sorry for Niall's voice as he is a bit under the weather and with the singing too he wasn't the best for the second part of the podcast. We will be back for Crystal Palace away next week.
Dad catches up with Pete the badge. He talks about his trip down and what Pete the badge first game is. We love stories like this as it makes us remember our fans that have been with us before football supposedly started in 1992.

Southampton Away on a Wednesday night. We are travelling to Southampton with our good friend Andrew Fulham. We talk about his first game at Manchester City and previous trips down to Southampton. Chelsea away. First game of 2023. We need a win and we are coming in from a draw against Everton. We talk all things Chelsea and Manchester City. Dad tells his story about his first trip to Stamford Bridge in the 80s. Do you think there has been a change to the ground since then. We also arrive back at 2.30 am in the morning and finish the podcast off on the walk home from the mini bus. Hopefully, the sound is ok as this had to be recorded on our phones. Lad and Dad Away Days head to Elland Road for Leeds United vs Manchester City for the return of the Premier League after the World Cup. It's Manchester City's first away game since the return to club football and it's good to get the podcast back up and running for the season.
Lad and Dad talk all things Leeds United and Manchester City. We also talk about our break from club football and what we have been up to during the world cup.

Liverpool vs Manchester City. Lad and Dad away days are on the road again. We head to Anfield to watch Manchester City the champions of England taken on the winners of the FA Cup and League Cup after Liverpool lost the champions league final and never had a chance of winning the premier league last year. This episode Brother Adam heads to Liverpool for the first time as Dad is away on holiday with Mum. We enjoyed the trip and we look forward to the next episode next week in Borrusia Dortmund in the Champions League.
Man City vs Copenhagen podcast. We are joined this week by Martin who is a friend from Manchester City. We talk all things Champions League away trips. Martin tells us his story about how he started to watch Manchester City. We also discuss about our trip to Copenhagen to see the Little Mermaid and to watch the best team in the land and all the world take on the champions of Denmark in the Champions League. WHAT A TRIP AND GAME THAT WAS!
Champions League semi-final Real Madrid v Manchester City 2022. We had a great trip to Madrid stopping in Barcelona on the way and having a good trip together. It sadly ended in defeat but who are we to hide we know who we are and who we want to be and Manchester City forever and ever.
