Millions of Americans are on a list for an organ transplant. The scarcity of the organs, coupled with dealing with the healthcare system can cause unnecessary stress on the recipient and their family. After having gone through this process, I'm here to bring a voice, education, and community to those who are dealing with these issues.
I spoke with Tuwayne Foster about his myriad of health issues. We spoke about our shared history, common issues with poverty and health, and dealing with relationships while trying to stay alive. The conversation was so good, I had to split it up.
I could never ask anyone to tell there story if I don't tell mine. This is the first episode for a podcast about the transplant community. We will address the common experiences, the people affected and the caregivers that keep us alive.
