In this FINAL, special episode, Harry is delighted to welcome the folks from UniLab to give him the lowdown on their efforts and aims to break down the stigma and barriers, students from ethnic backgrounds and marginalised groups are facing in their university lives.
By allowing the student body to have a strong voice, whist collaboratively working with partners across the UK, UniLabs are able to raise awareness, promote self-care and influence the educational sector to rethink mental health in those more under represented student communities.
Harry hears first hand from UniLab ED&I Officer, Karina Kanda what it’s like to walk on to a university campus, feeling 'other' and having to tell yourself that you DO belong! - and from UniLab’s Founder Thomas Sennett about the importance of making changes from the ground up with crucial, student-led campaigns such as ‘Buddy Schemes’ and ‘Cultural Days’ on campus.
