Being a young adult in ministry can be a difficult road to navigate without proper community. The protecting purpose podcast seeks to create that community by having relevant and intentional conversations, around the topics of life, relationships and our faith in order to develop healthy habits that will further encourage us to discover and protect God's unique purpose for our lives. So no matter where you are in your walk with Christ, join me every Monday while you're getting ready for your day, driving to work or preparing to call it a night for an encouraging start to your week.
Transition is all around us- especially as we begin to close out the year. This means it is so vital to discern when God is calling us to shift into a new season. Isaiah 43:19 says, "Listen carefully, I am about to do a new thing, now it will spring forth; will you not be a ware of it? I will even put a road in the wilderness [and] rivers in the desert" (AMP). Sometimes, it's not that God isn't speaking or doing new things, it's simply that we aren't aware of it. My prayer is that we would be more aware of when God is shifting our lives so that we would be able to more passionately and intentionally pursue purpose. The unrest you feel in your spirit is not coincidental, it's probably time to shift. Let's talk about it.
Truth is, if the Lord showed us everything that we’d have to go through in order to reach our purpose, many of us would say NO right off the bat. This season though, is one where God is calling for an UNRESTRICTED YES! Those who are submitted and found in the posture of humility are God will use in this next hour to push His agenda in the earth. As difficult as it may be, do you have an Abraham kind of faith? Journey with me through Genesis 22: 1-3 as we fight together to divorce the contingencies!
You’re not going through trials just because “that’s the way life goes”. I need you to understand that there is supernatural activity surrounding your story. God has intentionally and divinely guided the things that you’ve gone through in order to make you more credible for where you’re going next. You now have an opportunity to help break the back of unbelief off of God’s people and it’s because your story has PROVEN you. This episode will remind you that nothing is wasted.
Are you sure you really have the discipline for where you desire to go? Yes, you've worked hard to get where you are but in order to see the manifestation of what you've been working so hard for, you have to maintain a certain level of discipline. Sha'Carri Richardson (21 y/o track and field athlete) has shattered records, combatted culture stereotypes, secured her spot in the 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games only to fail a drug test and have her dream of obtaining an olympic gold medal in her individual 100 m sprint event stripped from her all in the timespan of a few weeks. Can we say headlines? In this episode, I extract the lesson we can all learn from Sha'Carri's situation. We've all made decisions we later regretted but another choice you'll also have to make, is whether or not you choose to pay attention to the lesson it provides.

I think we’ve all been there. Afraid of being “found out”. We get invited to stand on platforms, or sit at tables that we feel disqualified for. We succumb to the thoughts of our psyche telling us that we aren’t good enough nor do we have what it takes to be successful in our field. THIS IS A WHOLE LIE.
