Join Santhosh and Helen for honest conversations about how to live and love like Jesus in everyday life. A podcast from Dundonald Church.
This week we think about the perfect future God has promised and how this helps us here and now.
What difference does it make that we live the Christian life as part of a community? This episode is a chance to think through what it looks like to grow more like Jesus as part of the church - because we are family!
How is our Christian faith relevant and applicable even for friends who aren't believers? How can we share with friends in normal, honest and winsome ways - even through the real struggles of life? This conversation covers some pitfalls, opportunities and encouragements to be more open about the difference Jesus makes in our lives.
Do you want to grow more like Jesus and encourage others in the same? What could be more important or powerful thank prayer - calling on the only one who can and does change hearts in all sorts of ways. We consider different kinds of prayers, different examples in the Bible - but most of all soak in the huge encouragement God's word gives us to pray - boldly, widely, confidently in the goodness and power of our Heavenly Father.
Do we think of the Christian life as a battle? The Bible teaches that the Christian is at war against the world, the flesh and the Devil. We discuss what it looks like to think and 'fight' rightly - taking encouragement and confidence from God’s word and assurance that the Lamb wins!
Where can we turn when things are hard? How can we encourage others? This episode encourages us to lift our eyes - learning to turn to God, especially through learning the biblical practice of lament.

If the word of God is living and active, powerful and personal, how should this affect the way we encourage one another? In this conversation, we talk practically about how to hold out God's word in everyday conversations.
Do you feel unsure and overwhelmed when trying to walk alongside friends and family who are struggling? Where do we even begin trying to offer encouragement or support in hard times? In this episode we discuss how practically we can 'speak the truth in love' - whoever we are - and so be a community of encouragement and support.
