It is time for Beijing and all of our top athletes are on their way to the 2022 Olympics along with our amazing guest today. Tommy Ford has battled injury but is back on snow! The GS Specialist had a ton of success in the 2019 - 2020 season with his first win at Beaver Creek. Since then torn ligaments in his knee have left him sidelined and he has been fighting to get back to his best in order to compete well at the Olympics. This episode talks about taking the time to re-center during an injury but also how to come back stronger and hungry for speed.
Hard work and determination are crucial to success at the World Cup stage. For Luke Winters, that determination is starting to pay off as he just recently finished top 10 at Adelboden, his best result yet! He has had some previous success in WC Slalom's with a 2nd place first run at Val D'Isere but was unable to put two runs together, so this accomplishment shows he is finding his groove and has way more to come.

Ali Nullmeyer does it all and recently demonstrated that even with so many things on her plate, she is still able to dominate at the world stage after her Personal Best 5th place in the Zagreb Slalom.
Every ski racer has had their fair share of crashes. Slalom Tokyo Drift took those crashes and made them cool. So if you haven't had a crash published on their Instagram are you really a ski racer? In addition to crashes, STD does everything they can to give back to the sport through Team Drift and other collaborations. In 2015 an inbounds avalanche in Soelden, Austria claimed the lives of two young U.S. Ski Team athletes, Ronnie Berlack and Bryce Astle. Out of this tragedy, the BRASS Foundation was created to help recreational and high-level skiers/ snowboarders take steps towards avalanche awareness and risk mitigation. This week on the Weekly Stoke we speak to Steve and Cindy Berlack who explain more about the foundation, what you can do to stay safe in avalanche terrain, and how you can help support further avalanche education.
