If I walked up to you and asked you to write three four-letter words, what would they be? When I posed this question to a few people, I received many answers—but none included the word “kind.” Could this omission reflect a deeper erosion in our connection to a basic human need?
Human beings are unique. We possess both instinctual and learned behaviors. From birth, we instinctively embrace love.
Empathy, however, is learned through experience; it is the ability to feel with and for others and must be cultivated. It emerges when we are taught to consider the needs and feelings of others—when we intentionally imagine walking a mile in someone else’s shoes. Recognizing that others feel pain, desire, and need just as we do is essential to empathy. It teaches us to care about the condition and status of others.
Empathy that escalates into action is known as kindness. Kindness does not require grandeur. It can be as simple as a smile or as complex as building a dam over raging waters. Regardless of its scale, kindness is the natural response to empathy.
Yet too often our pursuit of progress pushes kindness aside. Humanity is driven by the need to conquer the earth, the sky, and even the stars, in a relentless struggle to satisfy its self-made desires:• We tear down forests to create farmland for our ever-growing population, while simultaneously constructing concrete jungles to house it.• We strip the earth of finite resources to fuel our technological conveniences, often without understanding the long-term consequences of their removal.• We launch satellites into the heavens at such an astonishing rate that it is hard to imagine the atmosphere not rebelling against this invasion.
While we chase progress, we risk neglecting the compassion that sustains the human community. When kindness is missing on a personal level, we feel it in small ways. But when it becomes absent on a collective scale, the consequences become devastating:
– What becomes of a nation that commits genocide without regard for the next generation? Where—and when—does it end?
– What is left for a people whose land is exhausted for the sake of technologies that give them little in return? Who will repair the damage?
– When did God invite humanity to become “guardians of the universe,” as they recklessly invade the heavens with unrecyclable trash?
In neglecting kindness—expressed through love and care for one another—we forget not only each other, but our divine purpose. Humans were not created to dominate and consume. We were created to care for this earth and one another; and to live in reverence to our Divine Creator.
Empathy requires that we feel the need of others. Kindness demands that we take action to resolve the need. But…IF HUMANS EVER REACH A POINT WHERE THEY FIND THEY ARE ALL IN THE SAME CONDITION OF N

THOUGHT
Isn’t it fascinating how the smallest and simplest words often carry the greatest significance and power in our spiritual lives? Words like “No,” “not,” and “nothing” are deceptively simple, yet profoundly meaningful. They shape decisions and carry consequences that influence the course of our lives."
The two-letter word “no” is a word that can become a complete sentence powerful enough to transform a request, an idea or an activity from the possibility of being something to becoming nothing. In my opinion the two most powerful words in the English language is “No”; the other is “Love”.
1John 4:7 states - “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love."
The word “Love” fosters communion and no boundaries. The word “No” on the other hand, can separate and create boundaries. Based on the consequences of each word, it may appear that the words are opposite, but they are not. “No” and “Love” are companion words that work together to empower, protect and save. "No" protects love by creating necessary boundaries.
The paradox of these words is echoed in I Corinthians 13:1-8, known as the love chapter: “Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I have become sounding brass or a clanging cymbal. And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries and all knowledge, and though I have all faith, so that I can remove mountains, but have not love, I am nothing. And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not love, it profits me nothing. Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. Love never fails. “
The scripture explains that no matter how effectively or willingly one uses or shares their physical, spiritual and financial gifts with others even to the point of sacrifice; without love, it means no-thing.
The words “love” and “No” work together to promote an atmosphere where love can endure. And yet, for love to endure, we must also say “no”—no to envy, selfishness, anger, pride, and sin. To be in communion with one another we must say “no” to t

James 1:22-25
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man who looks intently at his natural face in a mirror. For he looks at himself and goes away and at once forgets what he was like. But the one who looks into the perfect law, the law of liberty, and perseveres, being no hearer who forgets but a doer who acts, he will be blessed in his doing.
John 13:35
By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another.”
1 John 4:18
There is no fear in love, but perfect love casts out fear. For fear has to do with punishment, and whoever fears has not been perfected in love.

Older women likewise are to be reverent in their behavior, not malicious gossips nor enslaved to much wine, teaching what is good, so that they may encourage the young women to love their husbands, to love their children, to be sensible, pure, workers at home, kind, being subject to their own husbands, so that the word of God will not be dishonored. Thought: To hear the audible version of this, pleaseclick here.
My favorite character in the Wizard of Oz was the cowardly lion. I had a connection with him because I, too, lacked courage.
As a girl I was constantly full of fear and doubt and I, like the cowardly lion, thought of myself as worthless and incapable because of my fear. I would sometimes get physically ill, when it was time to perform, or choose a team, or make simple announcements in front of the class. At an executive training session, I was so full of dread when it came time to introduce myself that my throat closed up. I could not speak. I could only point to my name banner that was sitting on the table in front of me.
My fear of public exposure or embarrassment was paralyzing. However, it seems that everyone else thought that I was quite capable of more than I understood or was willing to accept. I thank God for those people who saw more in me than I did. They kept putting me into those horribly uncomfortable situations. They forced me to push past my insecurities and doubt. I was forced to face my fears. As a result, I am a person that has been cultivated by facing the many situations where I perceived possible failure, embarrassment and rejection. It was the power of God that gave me courage. The images the enemy placed in my head were overcome by the blessing of strength that God provided through those experiences.
It is during times of transition that it becomes easy for us all to be overtaken by doubt, fear, negativity and other tricks of the enemy.
For example: It is when you are graduating High School to take on the challenges of adulthood, or when you are an employee preparing to go into business for yourself, or a healthy person facing the possibility of a debilitating illness that the enemy works overtime to turn your sound mind into one of chaos and negativity. It is while you are planning to move forward, that the mind becomes ripe with the imaginings of many possible outcomes, many of which are negative.
BEWARE! It is the job of the enemy to confuse and paralyze you so that you hesitate to take the first step toward the fulfillment of your God-ordained destiny.
As believers there are things that God has promised to His children that in our humanity we may forget: 1. God does not give us the spirit of fear. 2. If God is for you WHO or WHAT CAN BE AGAINST YOU! Do not allow doubt, fear, or uncertain

And, because of the nature of our mobile society, the location of the property may become a major issue. Decisions have to be made whether to relocate to live in, or sell the property, or to ignore it so that the inheritance eventually becomes someone else's problem. This may be one of the reasons that Matthew 6:19 states "do not lay up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth and rust, destroy and where thieves break in and steal, but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven....

Welcome....to the United States' national season of consumption. We begin with Thanksgiving, followed by Advent, Christmas, Hanukkah, Kwanza and other end-of-the-year celebrations. During this time of year the rate at which we consume is so notable that it becomes newsworthy. Newscasters on the major stations, give daily reports on whether retailers have met Black Friday sales projections, how to use our credit wisely, and how to get the most out of travel deals. The average American's spending is so out of control that we may be still paying off last year's debt, while we create new debt as we try to meet our self-inflicted standards of holiday success.
If you are, by nature, one who consumes to excess, understand that consumption of The Word of God is the most powerful, least destructive, beneficial thing you can do.
The Word of God is the only thing that the more we consume, the better we grow. God Bless You!!Orine Out!!

When people see people of a “certain age,” it is assumed that their time on earth has qualified them to be “full of wisdom.” I am here to tell you, that is simply not so. Wisdom is not age related. Longevity, like wisdom, is a gift from God.
Godly wisdom gives one the ability to see a situation as God sees it; act on it as God wills and learn the lessons that God ordains. Once wisdom is given by God, that person can then be guided in ways that will give them success in the sight of God and Man.

Historically, the months of August and September are when the under 17-year-olds return to grade school. Those children who have graduated high school are expected to continue preparing for adulthood by either continuing their studies, getting a job, entering the military, or any activity that confirms that, as parents, we have done a good job preparing them to enter young adulthood. But, as parents, when that does not happen, we become agitated, frustrated, and disappointed. Our expectation is that our children will follow the life formula that was similarly laid out for us.
"BE STILL" and know that God is God!! Instead of yelling, cursing and being frustrated with our children's failure to do it "our way", have faith and choose to operate from a place of quiet and calm. Operate in confidence, that "God's Got This!"

If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? 17 In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead. The fidelity that we reflect of God's loving nature, is in exact proportion to the measure of love that we show to others. If we are open to show, give and share love in as many forms as we can, we are living a life of hi-fidelity which is a true reflection of the image of our creator. This is an image that we cannot deny, hide or control. It is the symphony of a life well lived.
It is our faith that justifies our relationship with God, but it is our fidelity that verifies that he dwells within us.

Definition: Integrity is the practice of being honest and showing a consistent and uncompromising adherence to strong moral and ethical principles and values. In ethics, integrity is regarded as the honesty and truthfulness or accuracy of one's actions.
Scripture:
1 Timothy 1:5 The aim of our charge is love that issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith.Titus 2:7 Show yourself in all respects to be a model of good works, and in your teaching show integrity, dignity, 8 and sound speech that cannot be condemned, so that an opponent may be put to shame, having nothing evil to say about us.You see, perfection is not the goal of having integrity. The goal of integrity is to achieve peace of mind.

Romans 7:21–23 So I find it to be a law that when I want to do right, evil lies close at hand. For I delight in the law of God, in my inner being, but I see in my members another law waging war against the law of my mind and making me captive to the law of sin that dwells in my members. Wretched man that I am! Who will deliver me from his body of death?Galatians 5: 22-25 But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. MORALLY EXCELLENT; RIGHTEOUS (Living a life conducted by the principles of morality that includes the virtues of humility, charity, chastity, gratitude, temperance, patience, and diligence.)
Scripture: 2 Peter 1:3-5 His divine power has granted to us all things that pertain to life and godliness, through the knowledge of him who called us to his own glory and excellence, by which he has granted to us his precious and very great promises, so that through them you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world because of sinful desire. For this very reason, make every effort to supplement your faith with virtue.Proverbs 31:10 Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.I pray that even in the midst of having immense wealth or being overwhelmed with blessings, I would find myself worthy of God still seeing me as His child,
I pray that in all circumstances, He will find me living, acting and speaking virtuously, showing forth humility, charity, gratitude, patience, diligence and most of all temperance.

Pain is a signal in your nervous system that something may be wrong. It is an unpleasant feeling, such as a prick, tingle, sting, burn, or ache. Pain may be sharp or dull. It may come and go, or it may be constant.
***Scripture:
2 Corinthians 12:9 "But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly of my weaknesses, so that the power of Christ may rest upon me."
Roman 5:3-5 " Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, (produces) character; and character,(produces) hope. And hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured out into our hearts through the Holy Spirit, who has been given to us."***
Pain is an integral part of the human experience. From our beginning, man is brought to life through the travailing (in pain) of the mother. As part of the process of growth and maturation, our bodies suffer pain. We suffer as we age, and the body deteriorates. Pain will be in our lives as long as we are alive. With that being said, it is not if or why we have pain, but the spirit that prevails in us as we endure life's pains

Scripture:
Romans 3:23-27 NLT - For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard. 24 Yet God freely and graciously declares that we are righteous. He did this through Christ Jesus when he freed us from the penalty for our sins. 25 For God presented Jesus as the sacrifice for sin. People are made right with God when they believe that Jesus sacrificed his life, shedding his blood. This sacrifice shows that God was being fair when he held back and did not punish those who sinned in times past, 26 for he was looking ahead and including them in what he would do in this present time. God did this to demonstrate his righteousness, for he himself is fair and just, and he declares sinners to be right in his sight when they believe in Jesus.27 Can we boast, then, that we have done anything to be accepted by God? No, because our acquittal is not based on obeying the law. It is based on faith.28 So we are made right with God through faith and not by obeying the law.
