There is a recent trend to use Dr. Martin Luther King Jr as a convenient to prop for the status quo. The fable of MLK is one reduced to “I Have A Dream" and not much else. He is an almost wholly fabricated, passive MLK to whom both moderate democrats and republicans pay homage.
But...
In reality, those examples rely on half-truths and half-reveals of who MLK truly was. In today's podcast, Darius I'Free explores the MLK who was far more radical than most folks would guess, a man who moved further left over the course of his fight for justice. The real MLK -- the radical one.
