Rachael Blair

Raising Vibrant Kids is here to bring you weekly doses of inspiration, insights, encouragement and deeper ways to connect with your kids. We want to teach you how we are all co-creators within our families and in our relationships. We have so much love for our children but parenting is not always easy and we don't always know how to serve our kids the best. We often turn to tactics once used by our parents that never really resonated with us even when we were kids. Here at Raising Vibrant Kids, we want to bring you encouragement that living in alignment, tuned in and tapped into your own source is the most powerful and satisfying way to parent. Connecting to your inner voice and raising your vibration is the best guidance on this parenting journey. As we tune into our own inner authority, we will see how identifying thoughts, feelings, and beliefs can really help us to transform our parenting and teach our kids a whole new way to see things too. We also hope to help our kids tune into their own inner voices and reach their true potential. We will be bringing you interviews with amazing experts, telling helpful stories, monologues of me sharing my own journey in parenting and whatever inspiration comes our way.We hope that this podcast helps you to tap into joy, creativity, clarity and a greater source of love and connection! My name is Rachael Blair and I am here with you on the same journey of parenting and finding my own inner voice.

Kate Kripke is here to help us explore why maternal health and well-being is so important and how to step into feeling good on a daily basis. In her new book, Reinventing Supermom, Kate says that Supermom should mean that we as mothers are tending to our bio-psycho, social, spiritual needs first. Did you know that maternal and child mental health are intimately interconnected and that there is a co-regulation process that happens between mothers and children. That's right! Every single thing that we do to take care of ourselves so that we feel good, is an act of taking care of our kids. Which means that it is part of a mother's job to feel good. Today's conversation is packed full of information about the identity shift of motherhood, secure attachment, how to deal with difficult emotions, modeling for our children and what self-care can look like on a daily basis. It is such a great conversation not only for moms, but for Dads and grandparents too. We hope that you enjoy this great conversation!!

Kate is offering....

The Healthy Mom Bootcamp --> 12 weeks of live sessions, starting January 2, 2023! This Bootcamp will allow mothers to:

  • Elevate their capacity as a mother to stay steady through everyday challenges.
  • Develop new ways of showing up in the most difficult times as a mom so that they embody that secure parent their kiddo needs.
  • Learn small, simple, but profound strategies for every day maternal mental well-being that will change the course of both their own and their family’s life.
  • Achieve more patience, more joy, more control, more closeness, more energy, and more purposeful intentions.

The greatest legacy that we could leave our kids is a more joyful world!! So why not start a joy revolution!  Just like little acts of kindness can go a long way in the world, so can micro-acts of joy!  We only have control over our own emotions, our own perspective, but just like laughter, joy is contagious.  If we all care about how we feel, I truly believe that we could transform the world.

On this episode, I discuss joy and sorrow, my own lessons this week, and the Global Joy Summit, which was fantastic.  How can we all open up to more joy in our lives on a daily basis?  Let's let joy infiltrate our lives and see what happens!!!

Do you have too much clutter in your house?  Are you always purging?  Me too!! This episode is about my journey with things and trying to figure out how to declutter over the years.  I share some of my key take aways with you about our material possessions  and what it means in our lives.  Our beliefs about money, familial habits and our stories all play a huge role in which stuff we choose to keep in our houses.  Our journey with material objects begins when we are born and does not end until we croak.  How can we create an environment that brings us joy and fills us up?   How can we teach our children habits about their stuff that serves them well?

Love is the highest vibration we can resonate at. I am sure you all have felt the power of love at one time or another. We all do as we fall in love with people in our lives but somewhere along the way, our focus can change. Sometimes, our focus shifts to the things that we would change about the people in our lives, but relationships are really our playground for self-growth, expansion and great joy. We can choose what to focus on and if we choose love, we can have much more fun and more connected relationships with our kids, family and friends. In this Episode, Rachael explores this idea and gives some tips on how to create more love in your home on a daily basis. Let Love Lead the way!!!

What financial beliefs do you want to pass down to your kids?  Most of our beliefs as adults come from our childhood, our parents and other's we observed around us.  You have a choice to shift which beliefs will be passed down to the next generation.  In this Episode, we dive into limiting beliefs around money, expansive beliefs that we can practice instead and how to teach our children about money.  I think it is important to create a financial playground in your household that allows your children to practice earning, spending, saving and for me, one day investing.  A financial education is so important and an incredible gift that we can give to our kids.  Journey with me in this episode through some of my thoughts on money and how we can explore this topic more thoroughly with our kids.  Thanks for tuning in!!!

Beliefs influence so much; where we live, our relationships, what we wear, what we eat, what we do for work. But limiting Beliefs can hold us back from our potential in life!! Most beliefs are subconsciously passed down to us from others around us; parents, friends, work, tv, books, etc. It's so interesting to notice our own beliefs and were they came from and to consciously choose the beliefs that we want to pass down to the next generation. That's right! We will pass down a lot of our beliefs to our kids!! Which ones do you want them to take with them into their adulthood? Also, noticing our own beliefs around parenting opens us up to new possibilities in how we parent and interact with our kids.

Whitney Baker from the Electric Ideas Podcast is here to discuss navigating the identity shift that moms go through when they hit the pause button on their professional life. Through her own personal and spiritual growth, Whitney is helping women ditch the rules of how they think they're supposed to live and rewrite the rule book for the life they really want.  We discuss reclaiming our sense of self as mothers, habits and rhythms that can help moms live more intentionally and how to choose responding over reacting.  Her six-week mastermind, Electric Opening, will be taking place in early fall.  The program features weekly workshops with Whitney and a supportive community designed for moms who have shifted from one identity, but have not yet stepping into the version of themselves they want to be.

Tracy Baldwin is here to discuss her new book Life Disrupted: Finding Your Way Forward When The World Is Upside Down which will be published in September 2022, and her new business WeeHumans. This conversation is sure to inspire any parents out there struggling with mental health issues, especially anxiety and depression.

Tracy Baldwin is an entrepreneur and an award-winning integrated marketing expert with more than twenty-five years of experience working for some of the world’s best-known brands.

Tracy was part of the “Great Awakening” that took place during the Covid-19 pandemic. After a life-changing experience in 2021, she re-evaluated and recalibrated her life to live more authentically. She hopes to help other high-achieving women who strive to do it all by sharing her journey. She aims to provide a space for open and honest conversations about mental health struggles, especially anxiety and depression, in the workplace and beyond. Finally, she hopes these conversations lead to the next generation of women having the support and the acceptance they need to succeed. She wants women to know that it’s okay, and even preferable, to be “perfectly imperfect.”

In 2011, she founded her marketing consultancy Flow Marketing Communications, Inc. In 2022, she launched the online platform and community WeeHumans for parents around the world to share advice and ideas about child-rearing. WeeHumans is rooted in the belief that people from different countries and cultures have more in common than differences, as we all start out from the same place--as little humans. Tracy has a Bachelor of Arts in Journalism from Indiana University and a Master of Science in Integrated Marketing from Northwestern University. She lives with her two teens and a tween, her husband, and their Airedale Terrier “Lulu” in Chicago.

Mantra -"Our Lives are not made by the dreams that we dream, but the choices we make."

Michele is one-half of the husband/wife business, "Where Your Best Takes You." After relocating for a lifestyle change and closing her personal training business, Michele and Chris founded Where Your Best Takes You, a personal development business in 2021. While Chris works for a Fortune 50 company and Michele homeschools and manages the home and adventures in their 5th wheel by day, Where Your Best Takes You is a passion project meant to provide tools for fitness, nutrition, budgeting, personal development, RV travel, and life lessons. It's a mixed bag -part blog and tools -with the ultimate goal of sharing limitless paths to make life work for you. Life isn't going to be niche. It's going to ebb and flow, but the right mindset and resources can help you find your own limitless path.

On Today's Episode, we discuss following the breadcrumbs and that there are no dead ends in life. How can we quiet any criticism or judgement that we’re hearing and let go of comparisons, so that we can easily lean into and hear our own intuition? What feels the best right now? How can we make it happen? What do we want to see more of in the next year? Following those questions, led Michele and Chris to so many decisions that they didn’t even see as an opportunity before. They learned that every challenge you go through in life is just another opportunity to learn and grow and pivot life in a different way. Your feelings are communicating to you about what could be next. We discuss a morning practice, gratitude practices and self-care. Michele shares her moto for her kids - We want you to love, to be kind, and do something that makes you Happy (this can and will change over time). Michele says, “For us, it is like what is the top priority in taking care of ourselves and growing and making the best out of this one body, one mind, and one soul that we have here on this time on earth is so incredibly important." So where will your best take you?!?!

Today we’re going to discuss imaginative play, the importance of imagination and a show called Bluey which you can find on Disney Plus or YouTube. Why am I bringing this conversation to you today? Not because I think that your kids should be watching specific shows, but because I think imagination is our secret super power in life and in parenting. I know my kids are always trying to get me to play with them and I often struggle with trying to play their games. This show opened my eyes to a new way of interacting with my children that is more fun, playful, less reactive, and it gave me a whole toolbox of games to play with them. So, my youngest brother Stephen and his wife Janie are going to help us discuss the show and imaginative play in our households. Stephen is a Pulmonologist, but he goes by Doctor Dada Extraordinaire in his household. And Janie used to be a nurse but now she runs the Children’s program at their church and she goes by Mom of Many because they have also been fostering children in their house. They have 2 biological children who are 3 and 5. I would say that Bluey if probably for a younger age audience but I think that imagination is super important not only for our children but also for us. If we want to bring anything into the world that isn’t currently existing and change things, we have to use our imagination. So I hope that you like today’s conversation. I’m really excited to bring it to you.
