Politics from all around The Cowboy State. Liberty, Rights and Constitutional reverence is what we do. We tackle all issues and take them apart with a perspective that only comes from the nation's Cowboy State.
Ogden Driskill made a shocking statement in his Newcastle debate with Chip Neiman. He said that we should have an abortion exception if the baby "isn't going to be a good one." Driskill has debated the issue of abortion numerous times in the legislature and knows how delicate of a topic that is. For him to make such a flippant remark is astounding. Right before he said that, he claimed to be pro-life.
Youtube video of debate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EOfrZwKLLQs
Marilyn Connolly claims to be conservative and has been a Republican for a long time. But her votes don't line up with that at all. Often, Connolly voted right along side the Democrats on many of the same bills she lists in a recent advertisement.
A recent spending analysis on HB0001 reveals who the big spenders in the House of Representatives are. The top 10 might surprise you. A hint: it's BILLIONS with a B.

Eric Barlow has a terrible record when it comes to illegal immigration. He has consistently voted against bills that would ban sanctuary cities and bills that would restrict your money going to illegal aliens. But it was the Cow Pie's defense of Barlow's record that caught my eye. Why would Barlow all the sudden vote to restrict tax money going to aliens? The answer, he really didn't.
The biggest spenders in the last session are the same people that AFP is claiming are small government folks. Julie Jarvis voted to spend over $1.244 BILLION. That's BILLION with a B. Marilyn Connolly voted for $1.241 BILLION. While the conservatives averaged $28.5 MILLION. Million with a M and not a B. Spending isn't AFP's only problem. Its biggest one is hypocrisy--especially their state director Tyler Lindholm.
Laurie Bratten sat down in the studio to discuss her re-election campaign for House District 51. One of her main focuses has been on codifying transparency in government. While you can go online and see Wyoming's checkbook, that's not in law. The next administration could do away with it. Also, Bratten wants to make sure you have access to the budgets and audits of your government. It was a wide ranging discussion.
Also, video has surfaced of American's for Prosperity's state director Tyler Lindholm's thoughts on covid. It turns out, he's not nearly as conservative as he lets on.
Jim Corkery is running for the Wyoming Senate in District 27 in Casper. I sat down with him at David Street Station in Casper. He's a pro-life catholic in a race with 2 Redocats: Kevin Helling and Macia Neumiller. Corkery and I talked about the importance of being pro-life, his stance on business and lots more.
Myca Sturtevant is running for House District 29. She claims to be a Republican but is campaigning on government run healthcare and so-called affordable housing. Not exactly Republican ideas. Also, she says that even though she's running as a Republican, she's not going to follow the GOP platform. What's even more revealing is she says she is an advocate for small government while advocating for big government programs. Just another Redcoat claiming to be be something she's not.
The Wyoming GOP lawsuit against the state is absolutely correct. The government does NOT get to dictate who can speak and who has to keep quiet. Every other private organization can endorse candidates and spend money on their behalf but not political parties. However, just because a political party can doesn't mean they should always endorse candidates. There is a fine line, but that should be up to them not the state. Other governments do that, not this one.
Karen Weber is running to replace Scott Smith in House District 5. She says her main focus is on supporting agriculture in this state. Right now, as a measure of GDP, agriculture ranks below the media. That wasn't always the case. Weber says that if we decrease the size of government and get it out of monkeying with private business, our ag producers will do much better.
Fresh off of the Superintendent of Public Instruction debate, Tom Kelly joined me in the studio. I had a couple of questions I wanted to follow up on. I asked him if it is possible to evaluate teacher performance--which came up in the debate. His answer surprised me. Also we were able to dive a little deeper into recalibration and his thoughts on local control.
In an effort to avoid what it actually means to be a Republican, candidates are trying to brand themselves as some other type of Republican. It leaves the rest of us to ask, "Why not just be a Republican?" There's the "Common Sense Republicans," "Real Republicans" and now, "Rational Republicans." It's funny, these are the same folks asking you to reject labels and focus on issues. Then why don't they?
Chad Auer is one of the people running for Superintendent of Public Instruction. He was one of Gordon's policy advisors on education, after being a teacher for a while.
This past Tuesday, I moderated the WYGOP Superintendent of Public Instruction debate in Upton--there were more than a couple of questions I asked during the debate that needed more discussion.
Sheriff Richard Mack is the founder of the Constitutional Sheriff and Peace Officers Association. He is also the first person to sue the federal government over Clinton's Brady Bill. He's the the author of several books including his latest The Democrat Murder of America.
He joined me on the program to discuss the importance of the Sheriff and how to know if your candidate is the right guy for the job.
The Wyoming Realtors PAC has issued their 2026 endorsements. It's a who's who of Democrats masquerading as Republicans. The average score of adhering to the Republican Party Platform from their honorees is 15% and they only vote with the Republican majority 17.2%--sure sounds like a bunch of conservatives to me.
It looks like Ogden Driskill's "Become a Peacemaker" pledge didn't take. Not only is he making it up as he goes along on social media, he's letting his pal Tyler Lindholm and Americans for Prosperity do most of his dirty work for him in the Senate District 1 race. I spoke with Speaker Chip Neiman about it.
Being Independence Day we should have guessed that a Redcoat would post a video. J.D. WIlliams posted a video in which he tried to explain why the Democrats vote with Republicans and not the other way around. Interesting though, there are a bunch of Republicans that the Democrats DON'T vote with. Why?
The answer is easier than you might think....maybe it's because the values of the Democrats line up with the values of J.D. and his pals.
J.D.'s Video: https://www.facebook.com/share/v/1c4uZEXoaP/
A young volunteer with Americans for Prosperity (AFP) mistakenly knocked on my door this morning. He obviously didn't expect all the questions I was going to ask him--turns out he didn't even really know anything about the candidate he was supporting.
Also, this morning on the live program I interviewed CJ Young who is running to be Wyoming's next Secretary of State.
Earl Collier is running for the House of Representatives in House District 3. That seat is currently held by Rep Abby Angelos who is running for the Wyoming Senate. Collier is a GIS specialist and a surveyor.
We talked about why being a father and a busy business owner why he decided to do this. We also spoke about the oil and gas industry, sage grouse and why government regulations--both state and federal--are hampering Wyoming's extractive mineral industries.
Rep Abby Angelos is running for the Wyoming Senate in Senate District 23. Her opponent in that race is Dwayne Dillinger. He's one of the "republican" candidates in Campbell County that refused to show up at the Republican Party debate.
I spoke with Abby on Thursday during the live program.
A semi-anonymous group, BecomePeacemakers.org, is asking candidates to sign their "Love your enemies" pledge. Most of the people who have signed it are the very people have said some really nasty things about their political opponents. Perhaps it wasn't the intent of the pledge but the real question is how it will be used--and that is a typical Redcoat tactic.
David Hill Joins the program to talk about his race for HD50. The audio is a little choppy in the beginning but you can follow it once I had David call in to the program.
Steve Friess is running for the U.S. House along with 9 other candidates. He joined me in the studio for an hour a few days ago. It was a wide ranging discussion that covered everything from the Save America Act, the Convention of States, guns, so-called affordable housing and exactly who he is.
I pressed him on the central claim of most of his campaign material--that he helped author executive orders for the Trump Administration. The first question I asked him was what has he done in Wyoming politics. It's a great interview that lasted longer than it was supposed to.
Just like the 8th grade delinquent that tries to forge his own report card, Eric Barlow has created his own Republican Party Platform Scorecard. It appears to show he follows the platform 100% of the time--until you actually read it. What it does say is that on 83 out of 5,815 bills he's followed the platform.
When you look at his actual voting record it's, not surprisingly, the opposite of what he's claiming. There's numerous votes against the platform. But he's asking you to believe the opposite.
It's not that the media and Redcoats disagree, they do, but it's that they can't understand conservatives. It is psychologically impossible for them to get it; because they've never lived in a time when government wasn't involved in the economy.
Wyoming's economic statistics are shockingly dismal--far below the national average. Why? The number one industry and employer in the state is government and not business. It's almost like I am teaching a class on conservatism.
Carlin Jones is running for the Wyoming House of Representatives in House District 28. He's a rancher from Otto, WY. House 28 covers parts of Big Horn, Fremont, Hot Springs and Park Counties. We had a wide ranging discussion about schools, spending, guns, data centers and more.
During a recent forum, gubernatorial candidate Eric Barlow couldn't give a straight answer to a clear question about abortion. He said he's in favor of one exception. But other than that he's totally pro-life. His voting record doesn't show that either.
Link to The Open Range Record Article about his record:

Anonymous "news" pages are cropping up. I had a back and forth with one of them that yielded hilarious results.
Nick Ellis is one of the founders of "Christian Halls." It's an alternative to our university system complete with all the accreditation that any other undergraduate or grad school would have.
Before our pervasive university system existed, if someone was interested in a craft, they'd go find someone who was good at it and apprentice under them. For thousands of years we educated our children like this. The question is can we return to this method of education.
We have always been wary of new businesses or technology that we don't understand. Just because we don't get it doesn't automatically make it bad. Data centers are in this category. They're cropping up all over the place. The businesses we should be wary of are the ones propped up by government. If any business is playing by the same rules as anyone else, we shouldn't go running to government to stop it.
Secretary of State Chuck Gray had a contentious interview with Claire McFarland on the Cow Pie's morning show. It followed the release of a poll the Gray campaign released the day before. As with just about every poll, it contained message testing that McFarland and the liberals she talked to considered offensive.
The interview turned into more of Gray questioning the "reporting" of McFarland and the Cowboy State Daily more generally.
With this many candidates in the race, it's hard to figure out where they're all at. The easiest way to figure that out is just to look at how well known they all are. All of them fall into one of three groups: everyone knows them, some people have heard of them and the third, who the heck is that?
There's some clear front-runners but the rest of them have a race on their hands.
Are there really moderates when it comes to politics? In reality, no. There clearly aren't any in the legislature. When you look at the voting data, our legislators are solidly on the left or the right. The reason why many adopt the "moderate" name is if they were honest and admitted to being on the left, few people in Wyoming would vote for them. There's also a question of "purity tests." That's as ridiculous as claiming to be a moderate.
Also, after my interview with Jimmy Skovgard, he went to Hot Springs County. Maybe someone should have told him I have operatives everywhere.
For a long time, liberal Republicans and Democrats in Wyoming have been trying to water down our primary system to make it easier for liberals to get elected. In 2021, the Senate Corporations Committee discussed the idea. That was pretty much a non-starter. Now the same individuals--Nancy Case--is trying to water down efforts at eliminating crossover voting. Of course, the Wyoming media, who did write an article about Friday's Corporations meeting, conveniently glossed over it.
Jillian Balow is the twice elected former Wyoming State Superintendent of Public Instruction. She took a job working for Glen Younkin's administration in Virginia for a time and has since moved back to Wyoming. Now she's trying her hand at the U.S. House of Representatives. Balow joined me on Cowboy State Politics Live to discuss her candidacy.
Moran ranch owner Frank Chapman is running for Congress. He's lived in Teton County since 2011 operating the Heart 6 Ranch. He's a lawyer and a hunting guide. A political newcomer to Wyoming politics, Chapman says he's the right candidate because of his experience fighting the federal government. He sat down in the studio with me on Wednesday.
Christine and I are off on another one of our adventures. We've crossed the southern border--something about shopping and the Texas Rangers.
On Friday's edition of Cowboy State Politics Live, I interviewed Rep Bill Allemand. He just recently announced his re-election campaign. The Supreme Court lifted the injunction on Wyoming's ESA bill. And a lot more. See you when we get back!!
Kevin Christensen is running for the United States House of Representatives. He is among the 10 other people who have declared their candidacy for that office. He spent 27 years in the military and a time as BLM director for NE Wyoming.
One of the topics we focused on was the Buffalo RMP which was implemented when he was one of the heads of that agency. I pressed him on what those BLM policies meant for Wyoming energy producers. It's a great wide ranging discussion.
Rebecca Bextel announced Wednesday that she is seeking a nomination for Governor from the Constitution Party. It sets up an interesting electoral scenario. Historically, Wyoming has elected very liberal people to the Governor's mansion. For 36 years, basically, the Democrats controlled the governor's office. Since 2011 the Democrat party has struggled to gain voters and now is on the verge of not even being a major political party.
With the nomination, Bextel would appear on the General Election ballot bypassing the primary contest. I interviewed Rebecca this morning to make her announcement.
Friday, I interviewed Fremont HD55 Representative Joel Guggenmos about his re-election campaign. There had been some rumblings about him living for a brief period outside of his district. He and his wife had their rent increased 600% and so they moved.
For a few months, the Guggenmoses lived in a camper a short distance outside of his district. When they found a home they could afford, Joel and his wife moved back. Fremont County Clerk Julie Freese told the Cow Pie that he sold his home, bought a different one and then moved back. This, of course, blew up on social media.
Saturday morning, Guggenmos issued a statement clarifying that has never owned a house. The Cow Pie, for their part, added an editor's note to their original article...at the bottom, where few people will ever see it.
I spoke with Joel early this morning to get an update. Also included in this episode is the original interview I did with him on Cowboy State Politics Live.
Kari Drost, Chairwoman of the Weston County Republican Party joined me to discuss Weston County's commissioners choosing not to follow statute and select someone to fill the vacancy of County Clerk. While technically the commishes have 3 more days to comply with statute, Tuesday they tried to do the exact same thing as Sheridan county in 2022.
"In a room full of RINOs, it's better to be a bear." Rep John Bear announces his re-election campaign. If successful, this will be his 4th term in the Wyoming House. During our discussion, I asked him about some of the bigger issues he and the Freedom Caucus have faced. I pressed him on the issues that he's specifically going to do. We also discussed some of the criticism he's faced from the other side of the aisle.
March 31st Governor Gordon issued an "Arab-American Heritage Month" proclamation. Don't feel bad if you didn't know about it. Nobody did. The proclamation doesn't show up on his website and no announcement email was sent out. At first, I thought the image I found on social media was a hoax. After calling the Governor's Office, I confirmed that indeed he did sign it.
I don't have a problem with any legal immigrant. That's what this country was founded on. I do, however, have an issue with artificially singling out individual groups based on race. That's a big reason why we have such a problem in our country right now. If the Gov wanted to make a splash, he should have proclaimed April "American Heritage Month" instead.
Earlier this week I made a screaming trip across the state to attend a Democrat sponsored legislative town-hall. It was billed as "Come Hear the Full Story: Cheyenne, Checkgate and What's Next." Granted, things would have turned out different had I not walked through the door; but, there was very little of the Democrats' "full story."
What did happen though is Liz Storer encouraging the room to cross-over vote and a shockingly conservative argument from a Redcoat.
As it always does, the crowd at a political event tells the story. At the Republican Convention this past weekend, one gubernatorial candidate didn't bother to step onto the stage. He recorded a video WHILE AT THE CONVENTION and ask that it be played during his time-slot. Another, gave a speech that was just as canned as if were given at a whistle stop. And, Brent Bien received a raucous response to his remarks. No one at the event had to guess who the odds-on favorite was.
Chuck Gray joined me in the studio a couple of days ago. He had just finished a town-hall in Sheridan that, at times, got a little feisty. We had a wide ranging discussion of the race for the U.S. House and several other Wyoming centric issues.
While Sommers was Wyoming Speaker of the House he sat on the board of the State Legislative Leadership Foundation--a group with longstanding ties to the Chinese Communist Party. Albert denied it and the Wyoming media tried to explain it away.
Now that Sommers is running for House District 20, it's important to bring it up again.
The Wyoming left continues to push the narrative that there were "cuts" to the budget in the 2026 Budget Session. Really, there is almost a half a billion dollar increase. Politicians like Chi-Comm Som are using the lie that there were as a campaign issue. Was there money moved around? Yes, but there wasn't a cut.
Interestingly, after getting schooled on this point by Rep Pendergraft, Jake in the Cow Pie continues to insist that there were cuts.
As is always the case, the truth is very different than the story the Redcoats are telling.

Luke Reiner was the WYDOT Director. Now he's running for the Wyoming House in District 8. While at WYDOT, Reiner championed a plan to build EV charging stations every 50 miles of Wyoming's Interstate Highways. He was told no. A fawning puff piece in the Wyoming Tribune Eagle fails to bring up how Reiner spent months trying to convince Wyoming Citizens to go along with the EV push.
Legislators gathered for a town hall April 14 in Sheridan. Most of the evening was a question and answer about what happened during the session. There were, however, two exchanges in which senators were asked why a list of bills did not get heard. The stories shifted the more the evening wore on. First, they ran out of time; then, it was blamed on the Majority Floor Leader and finally, the bills wouldn't pass to begin with.
Senators weren't the only people changing their stories. Gail Symons is attempting to explain away her column that asked Democrats to cross over to the Republican party.
Before the filing period, no one really knows anything about the election--who's in, who's out or anything. The only thing we can do is speculate. However, there are a few candidates who do have voting records. Those we can be critical of--and there's a stark difference. In an election with a lot of candidates, they'll all be desperate for your attention. The important part is to do your homework before you talk to them.

Sen Ed Cooper can't seem to keep his story straight. Before the session, he told a newspaper the Freedom Caucus is given $30,000 donations if they vote right. After I interviewed State Freedom Caucus President Andy Roth, he retracted it. He then told our journalist that he made a mistake. Now he's back claiming that what he said there's money spent on Freedom Caucus candidates. During that same appearance, he couldn't keep his own voting record straight while accusing other people of lying.
Everything seems pretty normal even though there's technically a government shutdown. I asked Rep Hageman if this is just evidence that the government is too big. Harriet took a few minutes to address the criticism coming from the media about Iran. We also briefly discussed her endorsement of Megan Degenfelder.
At a recent appearance in Cody, Eric Barlow said, "I was born Eric and I'll die Eric." A truer thing could not be said. Barlow is the same politician he has always been--one that votes with the Democrats over 80% of the time. But he's also the same activist that he's always been.
In a 2002 transcript from his testimony to Congress Barlow said that energy development is creating "destroyed soils, degraded water, and dried up aquifers."
Governor Gordon and Chuck Gray had another dust-up in the SLIB meeting. This time The Gov told Secretary Gray to "Shut up!" It was all over an amendment that would have mandated a citizenship check for taxpayer dollars--a reasonable proposal.
The rest of the Republicans on the board tried to obfuscate the issue and kept bringing up reasons why the amendment wouldn't work. What ensued was pretty predictable.
The Freedom Caucus has unveiled a plan to bridge the political divide in Wyoming. Unbeknownst to most political observers, it's been going on for a while. They term it, "Radical Transparency."
Secretary of State Chuck Gray is running for the United States House of Representatives. He's in a field with eight other candidates. In a race like this, policy positions matter because that's about the only way a candidate can distinguish themselves from everyone else.
We talked about what he's campaigning on and we had some time to talk some more Wyoming-centric issues.
Gubernatorial candidate Brent Bien sat down with me in the studio for the better part of an hour. We dug into his lengthy military career. Now, he's a retired "full-bird" colonel in the U.S. Marines. We spoke at length about his plans should he be successful in his run. Of course, we also discussed whether endorsements matter or not. It's a great interview that gives you some rare insight into who he is.
David Giralt is one of the many candidates running for the U.S. House of Representatives. He's an Army Ranger, used to work at the Pentagon and spent time in U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis' office.
Though it took us a few days to find a time to visit, he joined me on Tuesday's live program. It's a great interview.
Sheridan County held its County Convention on Saturday. WYGOP Chair Bryan Miller introduced a bylaw change that would bar any member of the press from holding any leadership position in the party. As you can imagine, that didn't sit very well with me. The measure was soundly defeated--so much so that the state version of it wasn't even brought up.
Teton County tried a bylaw change that tried to limit what the press can do in one of their meetings. The trend is clear, those in power don't want the public knowing what they are doing.
Today, the Sheridan County Republican Party is holding its county convention. There isn't anything too controversial being proposed (unlike some other counties). But nonetheless it is a Republican event so you never know what's going to happen.
Yesterday's live program ended up being a heck of a lot of fun. Here's a replay of it.
Agent 29 appeared on the Cowboy State Daily morning show this morning. It was masterpiece theater. There was a discussion about the budget, recalibration and a few others. But the fireworks started when Jake tried to cast budget reductions as "drastic." It just went down hill from there.
Ken's response? Words mean things.
Rep Hageman held several town halls across the eastern half of Wyoming this past week. I caught up with her in Wheatland.
Wyoming is in the middle of a Winter drought. Snow packs are down and most of the state has seen more of 60 degrees than 6. This summer, there's going to be a huge problem with water--not just for Wyoming but the surrounding states. I asked Harriet what we can expect.
A big question on everyone's mind is the SAVE America Act that appears to be hung up in the Senate. I got a few answers from our Representative on that.
Many journalists have a problem reporting facts accurately. The biggest problem though is their own political activism in their reporting. That often happens in Wyoming media. There's no better example than how the media behaved this legislative session. It didn't matter if they had verified their facts, often they just ran with it.
In one example, the author decided to misquote me, take me out of context and not tell the truth about what actually happened.
Security footage of the entrance to the Legislative Service Office during the time of the "check incident" has been deleted. The Wyoming Highway Patrol, in response to an open records request by The Open Range Record, said the videos had "timed out of the system" and are no longer available.
This is a shocking development considering that a criminal investigation is ongoing. It also raises serious questions about the integrity of the investigation and how the legislature deals with the public's right to know.
Over the weekend, two resolutions of censure showed up in county GOP meetings. Both of them failed miserably. The reasons they were brought have nothing to do with anything Republican and everything to do with personal squabbles. All political organizations have to have money to operate; so it doesn't make sense to try to prevent anyone from raising money.
But that is exactly what the Teton County GOP and Taylor Allred attempted to do.
Also, the Cow Pie (CSD) takes a stab at describing what a Republican is. Their attempt reveals more about who the Cowboy State Daily is than anything.
The Wyoming Association of Sheriff's and Chiefs of Police has been loudly advocating against the Second Amendment Protection Act Amendments (SF101). A lot of their testimony has not been entirely accurate. The House Appropriations committee, when hearing the bill, exposed a lot of it.
The Cowboy State Daily has played right along with them publishing an article full of inaccuracies. No surprise there! All they had to do was read the bill.
In a rare Thursday episode, the results of the Special Investigative Committee. Surprise there's nothing there. What's more interesting is what the Washut's committee DID NOT investigate.
While the check incident was going on, Senate President Dennis Biteman allowed a lobbyist access to the Senate floor.
The Sheridan Press used a photo of a slain Sheridan police officer to push a political narrative.
Kylie Wall is the Natrona County High student who faced massive backlash from school staff for starting a TPUSA Club America chapter. Her signs were torn down, she was told what she could and could not do--even in her free time. Now, her chapter is up and running.
A bill she is supporting, HB159, is making its way through the Wyoming Legislature. She joined me for an interview over the weekend.
Wyofile and Wyoming Public Media went to great lengths to paint conservatives as liars in the "Special" Investigative Committee. It would be one thing if the two of them weren't in the room but Wyofile and WPM sat through the grueling 4 hour spectacle. Really, they're activists masquerading as journalists.
In other news, Correnti's resolutions rightfully met a quick death at the WYGOP Central Committee Meeting. They were the 2026 equivalent of the "Me Too" movement.
Finally, I got to sit down with Rep Pendergraft, Agent 29, and talk about the session. It's been really hard to schedule time with him.
The conversation begins with a discussion of how he views representation. Some legislators look at their emails and make decisions based on how popular one side or the other is. Really though, according to Ken, this job is about being able to make the hard decisions.
His vote on Sheridan College was one of those. He originally fought for funding at the college and when that failed, lots of other things got added to the measure.
It's a Republic and not a popularity contest.
On the Floor of the house Art Washut accused another member of reading a script that had been given to them. There are a bunch of people who read from their phones and their computers but Art never says anything about that.
Here's the link to the article I mentioned in the show:
https://www.openrangerecord.com/news/999ab213-5dcf-4d39-8a7f-6ae34f2f7fd0
There are several gun bills moving through the Wyoming Legislature. Mark Jones, National Director for Gun Owners of America joins me to run through all of them.
He joined me on the new Open Range Record program, The Roundup. It's a full hour of gun talk!
Governor Gordon issued an exec order banning political contributions on state grounds. The only problem is he really can't do that--he can't even accomplish that inside the Capitol Building itself. It is a political stunt. And there's a little problem of him transferring $150,000.00 to his Prosperity and Commerce PAC. Yes, it's named PAC PAC.
A lot of what you're seeing is political theater; most of it is un-tethered from reality.
There was a rally Friday at the Capitol that was billed and permitted as an "Equality Rally." Really, it was an anti-ICE, anti-law enforcement rally. Sarah Burlingame of Wyoming Equality submitted the permit. What transpired was over 100 people--mostly school children screaming, impeding traffic and denigrating law enforcement.
It's Valentine's Day, and I certainly can't let the day pass without giving a present to my favorite group of people, the Redcoats. Marilyn Connoly, Julie Jarvis, Elisa Campbell, Ken Clouston and others have gone full blown Democrat. When the final session numbers are done, Democrat Mike Yin will have voted with the Republicans more than this group.
AND, Landon Brown thinks he's a Ronald Reagan Republican. Not kidding, he said that on the CSD Morning Show. The fun is just beginning for the 2026 Budget Session.
Rep Hageman joined the program this morning. Today, she has U.S. Atty General Pam Bondi in front of her committee. Though I haven't really been interested in talking about Epstein, this seemed like a good opportunity to get the scoop on it.
Turns out, there's a very good reason why a lot of those records haven't been released. Also, I asked Rep Hageman "Why haven't we seen a bunch of people in handcuffs?" It's a great discussion!
The legislature kicked off today with the usual pomp and circumstance. The only remarkable thing about Gordon's speech was what he didn't talk about--climate change. He probably thought that'd be unpopular so instead he lectured legislators how they should do things his way. He also promised that he would always defend Wyoming's right to export our resources.
Too bad, the legislature gave him the money to do that in 2019 and he vetoed the bill.
Also, you know you've made it when the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court refers to your show in the State of the Judiciary speech. All I can say is I'm not the one full of misinformation.
Sen Eric Barlow helped found the non-profit 501c(3) Edible Prairie Project. Its goal is to get locally sourced goods into the hands of needy families. A laudable goal to be sure. The problem is that Eric Barlow is a sitting Wyoming Senator, was on the board of EPP and used the non-profit to buy meat from his own sheep!
This is exactly the type of insider behavior that voters are sick of.
The Freedom Caucus has been accused of being told how to vote by some shadowy figure in DC. It's been said that all of their political activities are run out of a clandestine office in our nation's capitol. None of it is true.
I tracked down the President of the State Freedom Caucus Andy Roth to get to the bottom of all the smears the likes of Sen Ed Cooper, Ogden Driskill, Albert Sommers and others have been spreading.
The Wyoming left is apoplectic about the possibility of their vote buying machine going away. For years, the Wyoming Business Council has funneled millions of your dollars to dubious projects--often losing millions. In one case, they lost $20M on a berry farm. In another, they gave $2M to a cosmetics company that already sold their products at Sephora.
Now, Albert Sommers and Gail Symons are claiming the reason we have to keep the WBC is for community infrastructure. The problem with that argument is we already have another office that handles that.
Appropriations Chairman Rep John Bear, also known as Lex Luthor, joined me for the entire 2 hour live program on Friday. Anything you want to know about the hot-button budget issues, we probably talked about it.
Gubernatorial candidate Brent Bien called in to talk with Rep Bear. He was conspicuously absent from a Wyofile article about all those running for governor.
This is a great, really long form interview with the guy crafting the finances for the next two years. It's well worth a listen!
There are a lot of problems at the University of Wyoming; not the least of which is how they've been hiding really destructive courses from the legislature. After publishing the most recent episode on it, I got what I thought was a random social media message.
Turns out, it was from a member of the James G. Martin Center for Academic Renewal. Dr. Jenna Robinson is the president of that organization. She joined me on the show to talk about what can be done to fix a lot of these programs and the center she leads.
I spoke with Rep Hageman right before she was to cross examine Jack Smith. We had time to walk through her decision to run for the U.S. Senate and discuss some of the bigger issues happening right now.
In previous interviews Harriet has called herself a "free speech absolutist." So, I wanted to ask her about the the Trump Administration's FCC's decision to 'go after' talk shows that favor liberal guests. To me, that smacks of the fairness doctrine and 'net neutrality' that conservatives have been fighting against for decades. Why are we the ones suggesting it now?
At length, we discussed some of the issues she planned on asking Jack Smith about. At the end of the program, you'll find out what happened to him when he sat across from our Representative.
Earlier this week, J.D. Wasserberger of Lusk, WY distributed a deceptively edited video of Rep Ken Pendergraft. It purports to show the EXACT OPPOSITE of what Ken said in committee. This is the type of politics that most of us really despise--the politics of personal destruction.
Using my sources, I tracked down Mr Wasserberger and called him. He claimed that it was he who was sent the video and he only forwarded it on. Whether he made the video or not, it is clear from the phone conversation that he knew it was taken out of context. When asked about it, he said, "That's just politics."
Not exactly, it's the WORST kind of politics.
Governor Gordon claims that the Appropriations Committee took a chainsaw to the budget with no rhyme or reason. The Cow Pie's headline claimed the JAC "defunded" WYPBS. But, neither of those things are true. To cut through the media's bullcrap, I talked with Reps Pendergraft and Haroldson--both of whom are on the legislature's Joint Appropriations Committee. Shocker, there's a big difference between what the media is telling you and what really happened.
Don't worry if you don't know what Eco-feminism is, just understand that you are paying for it at UW. The Appropriations Committee called UW for one more discussion on January 9 to discuss some of the course offerings at the school: among those, Eco-feminism, global climate governance and environmental justice.
When asked to explain them, President Ed Seidel basically said the programs aren't offered any more but that he believes they are in the best interests of the State.
Also, a BIG Announcement about The Open Range Record.
The 1,000th EPISODE of Cowboy State Politics! Megan Degenfelder sat down with me earlier this week to discuss her recent gubernatorial announcement.
It's a wide ranging discussion in which I, once again, did the job the mainstream Wyoming press won't do. I asked her the hard questions: everything from windmills, to her time in China and why Wyoming school test scores are mediocre. Nothing was off the table in this very candid interview.
With the legislative session starting in a couple of weeks, you can bet the WEA will swear up and down that we don't spend enough on education. But school districts have proven that we already do. Here's a replay of a great episode from this past September. Don't forget that when we gave raises, they spent that money on other stuff.
Communists haven't confined themselves to NYC. There've been some rumblings about Albert Sommers considering a run for Superintendent of Public Instruction. Bad news. I thought that since Christine and I are dealing with communists in NY, I'd remind you that their influence absolutely made its way here.
Governor Gordon asked Chuck Gray if "he wanted to step outside." Everyone knows what that question means. Everyone, that is, except Amy Edmonds, the governor's spokeswoman. According to her, Gordon just wanted to go have a conversation. Uh huh. The real question is WHY did Gordon say that? No, not the conversation that led up to it, but why was that the last option that Gordon have? He got caught, plain and simple.
And in other news, President Trump pre-endorsed (I guess that's a thing now) Superintendent of Public Instruction Megan Degenfelder for Governor.
The Supreme Court doesn't use dictionaries. If they did, the abortion decision yesterday would have been very different. Instead, they ruled that an act that results in death 100% of the time is, somehow, healthcare--a word that isn't defined in Wyoming statute. But, studies convincingly show that abortion is pretty harmful and in some cases deadly to the mother as well.
Speaker of the House Chip Neiman joined me to discuss the ruling and what his priorities are for the upcoming session.
Already there's a ton of people running for office. For Governor, there's 4 and there'll probably be more. We conservatives can't seem to get in a room and decide who's the best candidate. Wyoming's political history is lots of people run for an office and then the liberal Redcoat gets elected--that's been the last 16 years...or more.
To even consider running for office there's 4 things you have to have first: name recognition, cash, hard work and a fourth one which is definitely the most important.
On Friday, Rebecca Bextel and I announced The Open Range Record--an entirely new media platform. The website is up and running and soon we will have our mobile app.
This week is bound the be full of campaign announcements. Get ready, it's going to be a busy one!
The U.S. carried out a military strike in Venezuela to capture the country's communist dictator. From all indications, the operation was a complete success. But there's lots of questions that need to be asked and answered about the President's actions.
Should we have captured Maduro? The answer to that one is an unequivocal "YES!" But should we have conducted airstrikes to do it? Also, the President said a couple of things that gave me pause. Namely, that we are going to be running the country for a while. How long are we going to do that? And, should that even be something to get involved in?
All good questions, and they deserve an answer.
Secretary of State and now candidate for the U.S. House of Representatives, Chuck Gray joins the program for his first interview since his announcement. Also joining the program is my friend Josh Jennings. He's the author of two books: (not kidding) Timmy the Tapeworm, and Space Tractor and Other Science Fiction Stories. He is also a writer for the Glenn Beck Program. It's a thoroughly entertaining show!
Billboards have been popping up in several places attacking Honor Wyoming. They purport to be paid for by an organization called, "Frontier Stand." They do have a website, but it doesn't tell you anything about them. Pretty much its a bunch of Redcoat, liberal republican drivel.
Generally, leftists accuse Republicans of what they are doing. In this case, the billboard accuses Honor Wyoming of not being transparent or accountable. Pretty rich coming from a group that has almost absolutely nothing online about them. However, there is a little nugget in their website data. The website was registered by a Utah company that has some pretty spooky ties.
Christmas really was unseasonably warm--62 at Cowboy State Politics Headquarters. The Cow Pie reports that the Santa Day temperatures broke records across the state. But really, there have been other end of year heat waves. Some of them date back to over 70 years.
A piece in the Pravda on the Platte questions whether it is moral or not to arrest and deport illegal aliens; because, you know, they're just trying to make a better life here.
Merry Christmas! Christine joins me to tell you a simple and reverent story about one simple man on Christmas Even.
We hope that you and your family have an amazing Christmas!
Rep Harriet Hageman has announced that she is running for the United States Senate. Many in Wyoming were waiting on her decision before committing to their own races.
Rebecca Bextel joins the program to talk about Harriet's run and all of the politics surrounding it.
Plus, some obligatory Christmas stories!!
All types of government like to play Santa with your tax dollars. Politicians give your money to organizations that you didn't vote for and no one asked if you wanted to. You might call it the Santa Scheme. They try to skirt the Wyoming Constitutional provision prohibiting hand outs through what they call, "Service Contracts." But it's always for some allegedly benevolent purpose. If it's such a great cause, why don't elected officials write the check themselves?
Another way they pull this gag is they say, "We found some money in our budget." As if any of them really don't know what's in there in the first place. Here's how it works, at budget time, they tell you they have to have your cash. Then, they don't spend it as intended only later to claim that it was "found."
But if they don't spend it for what they told you, do they really need it in the first place? Nope!
Senator Cynthia Lummis has announced she isn't going to seek re-election. That opens up a lot more possibilities for the 2026 election. With another congressional seat potentially up for grabs, Harriet, Gray, Degenfelder, Biteman, Gordon and others have some decisions to make.
One of the things we haven't really talked about is what the 2026 ballot might look like. Most of it hinges on what Rep Hageman decides to do. Secretary Gray and others have said they won't run for the same seat as our Representative. But that's only one seat--there's plenty more to run for.
Sheridan County Commissioner used public money to lobby for higher taxes. After being called on it--in the nicest way possible--he ran to the media and attacked his constituent. He accused him of VILIFYING AND ATTACKING him. Unless you're trying to get voted out of office, that's no way to treat someone who pays your salary. But it's the typical elitism we see from many elected officials.
In this episode, I put all of the audio together that clearly shows what happened and what Nick Siddle claims to have happened. The two are very different.
Everyone is using the word, affordability--even people on Fox News. Yet, no one explains or defines what it actually means. What does it mean for something to be affordable? Is anything affordable? The answer to those questions is no.
It's another Democrat ploy, just like "climate change." Affordability can be made to mean anything. Really though it's just an attempt to convince you to agree with them. They say stuff like, 'your checkbook doesn't lie,' and other tropes. The truth is though that prices are down on a lot of the things we buy all the time.
Rudyard Kipling wrote a poem called, "The Gods of the Copybook Headings." It's all about propaganda. Most of what we hear about our so-called education system is exactly that. We are all told that we have to continue to pay high property taxes to pay for "our high quality education system." That's what Grady Hutcherson from the WEA called it. But is it really? Do our test scores really justify the hundreds of millions that we throw at Wyoming education?
The short answer is not even close. But you don't understand the reality of it until you look at the national NAEP scores as Superintendent of Public Instruction Megan Degenfelder told the Appropriations Committee to do.
If we aren't paying to educate our students, what are we paying for exactly? I reality of where we are at will shock you.
Wyoming is not immune to the government handouts. One big portion of that is what we call "farm subsidies"--getting paid to farm nothing. This drives up prices but it also makes it very difficult for young people to get into the agriculture business.
Rep Hageman joins me for our monthly discussion to discuss these subsidies and the ballooning problem of fraud in our healthcare system. And, yes, I did ask her if she's running for governor.
The governor appears to be changing his tune when it comes to climate change. But is he? For his entire administration he has made one outrageous statement after another. While in Appropriations last Monday, he appeared to be singing a different song. The moment almost went unnoticed--almost I said. Instead of an "All of the Above" approach to energy, it's now, "The Best of All of the Above." As if adding a few words changes anything.
The Appropriations Committee meeting on Thursday was the perfect example of everything that's wrong with the Wyoming and frankly all state Government--appointed officials who believe in central planning. That is, ignoring the free market that has created this amazing country we live in.
Josh Dorrell from the Wyoming Business Council told the members of Appropriations that it's his job to create an economic system. He actually said that! The committee rightly peppered him with questions demanding he explain himself.
In the Season 6 premier, the Wyoming Business Council sent out an email asking people to attend a watch party to "mobilize." Why does a state agency need to build support for "collective action." Last time I checked, state agencies don't campaign for public support. There's a ton a problems with their email, including, perhaps Wyoming Statutes.
Even the Wyoming Tribune Eagle has to admit that charitable organizations really don't need government. And, it's not the government's job anyway. IT'S OUR JOB. So-called government charity is only making big government even bigger.
The government shutdown is a perfect example. Private organizations shined, helping those in need across the whole state. Nationwide, Americans raise over half-a-trillion every year for benevolent purposes. Are you telling me we can't handle the needs of the poor with that amount of cash? We can, and the WTE admits it.
If it quacks like a duck, it's usually a duck. That's the argument an op-ed in the Sheridan Mess attempts to make. Many in the Wyoming media have been making the same one--that if you vote conservatively you must be a member of the Freedom Caucus and somehow that's bad. There's so many logical fallacies with that claim; not the least of which is why is that a bad thing.
The author's claims lead you to believe he must be a card carrying Democrat. Is he a Democrat or is he just another cross-over voter?
People never learn, in socialism, there's no turkey, there's no gravy and no stores to buy those things at anyway.
Most of us have no idea what really happened in the Plymouth Colony. We're told that Thanksgiving Day was the pilgrims giving thanks to the Indians for saving their lives. That's not even close to the truth.
According to the Wyoming Business Council, the free market is working against us. This is an amazing perspective coming from the state agency who's goal is to increase business.
Of course, my answer is that the free market is not the problem, it's government intervention and playing around in private business.
While Josh Dorrell, the head of the WBC, and I have very different perspectives on business, this interview is one of the clearest examples of the two competing forces in our economy--government and private enterprise. Dorrell thinks that government needs to be involved and I know that that's the problem. This is a fascinating discussion.
Joining the program is former Rep Mark Jennings.
Never before heard audio from INSIDE a Wyoming County Commissioners meeting! It very clearly tells you which legislators are working for you and which ones are working for lobbying organizations.
The Revenue Committee met last week and discussed a bill that would eliminate property taxes and replace them with an increased sales tax. Of course, the usual suspects, the WCCA objected to it because it would decrease the amount of your money they could spend.
During the discussion Sen Case moved to table the bill. Why? Because in his own words, he's in favor of new taxes. In the past he has said that he's even in favor of an income tax. But the EXCLUSIVE audio I have paints a very different picture as to why he wanted to table the bill. I'd say it's unbelievable, but coming from him it's totally something he would say.
Governor Gordon claims that the role of government is to provide those services that individuals can't provide for themselves. There's no end to this line of thinking. It ends up with government giving your money to so-called non-profits; and it ends with budgets that are twice as big as a few years ago.
His budget is littered with a whole bunch of things he claims are 'essential." Most of them are handouts and have nothing to do with the proper role of government.
The City of Sheridan Clerk claims that voters approved for local government to give their money away to private organizations. Funny, the original ballot measure doesn't say anything about that!!
Secretary of State Chuck Gray joins the program to talk about Gordon removing public notice money for the 50% tax reduction ballot initiative. Is the legislature black-listing emails from constituents? Slithers and Dennis claim that legislators can go dig them out of the junk or quarantine file. But who does this??? That and lots more!
The governor and his pals are claiming that the proposed budget is conservative--it's anything but that. According to his own math, to do the same thing as last year, it will cost almost a billion dollars less. Gordon wants to add another $1.9 Billion to it. Just a reminder, there's only 586,000 people in Wyoming. That's $19,000 for every man woman and child in the state. If that weren't shocking enough, in four short years, Wyoming's budget has doubled. It really is legalized theft..
Margaret Byfield and Rep Hageman were the keynote speakers at WYGOP meeting held in Torrington over the weekend. The topic of conversation was private property rights--something that we too often told isn't a concern in our state. Harriet briefly discusses the Maude case in South Dakota and a couple in Wyoming.
Not that long ago, Josh Dorrell President of the Wyoming Business Council joined me in the studio. There are a ton of projects that they are involved in across Wyoming--all of which involve your tax dollars. There's lots of questions we should be asking: is that the proper roll of government; do these projects actually make money; do Wyoming Citizens even want to be involved in these projects? We got to some of those.
You see their logo all over the place in our state. This is a great discussion with the guy behind them.
The Democrats started the so called government shutdown. Despite what they claimed, none of it was about subsidies for Obamacare. That's clear now that the Senate has passed a continuing resolution. Though, the continuing resolution only funds the government through January 30. We may very well have another shutdown in a couple of months.
Rep Harriet Hageman joins me to discuss the shutdown and to give her take on what actually happened. Also, because I couldn't resist, I asked her opinion of Mamdani's election in NY.
Why is the Cowboy State Daily doing the exact same thing as progressive organizations in Wyoming? A recent opinion piece by Jackson Walker in the Cow Pie tries to determine who is in the Freedom Caucus and who isn't. That's exactly what a website created by progressive group 'Better Wyoming' attempts to do.
Better Wyoming is a left wing group run by Nate Martin, the husband of Democrat Rep Karlee Provenza. Pick a liberal cause and they've probably advocated for it.
While they are doing the same thing, really they only have the same goal--to discredit those representatives who are part of the Freedom Caucus. In doing so, they only discredit themselves.
Over the last year, there's been a lot of controversy at the University of Wyoming. The legislature ordered UW to eliminate its DEI program. A dean filed a lawsuit over what he claims is was an improper demotion. And, UW President Dr Ed Seidel has resigned.
Dr Seidel sat down with me for a wide ranging discussion about school funding, successes and controversies during his administration. We talked about the gigantic amount of money Wyoming Citizens pour into the school--half a billion every two years--free speech and UW being one of the top research schools in America.
A few weeks ago, Mark Meckler and Rick Green gave a presentation in Sheridan about the Convention of States. For two hours they gave their sales pitch. It sounded great, except there's a whole bunch they left out--criticism that might dissuade support. With a little reading, it's obvious an convention is the last thing we need to do as a country.
Two of the supporters of Convention of States Action--the organization Mark Meckler helped found--who appear on promotional materials have written articles that are completely the opposite of what the crowd in Sheridan was told. In the end, it's obvious, no one should support a convention.
A majority of Americans get their news from social media. That's not such a bad thing if you understand what you are getting and you check the sources--if there are any sources. In the State of Wyoming there are a lot of pundits and columnists who post things that appear to be news but really aren't.
A perfect example of this showed up for the weekend. Nearly every piece of the post was provably false and yet it appeared to be genuine. Of course, it's from a well-known source who happens to have a column on the Cow Pie.
Rod Miller can hear the sucking sound government subsidies make just as well as I can. But, he still thinks that some of them are okay. I think that it's not the government's job to pick winners are losers. It's always the small business person that gets hurt when politicians start monkeying around in the market. We didn't solve any problems but we had a wide ranging discussion on a whole bunch of things government gives your money to.
The Cowboy State Politics traditional Halloween Story. This year, a re-telling the the Tell Tale Heart by Edgar Allen Poe.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live. An article in the Free Press claims that it is conservatives who are the new snowflakes and not the left. There is a difference between capitalism and cancelling; and when you are in a position of public trust some of the rules are different. After all, parents have a right to know who is spending 8 hours a day with their children. That, and a bunch more.
After the brutal assassination of Charlie Kirk, Wyoming GOP Vice Chairman Bob Ferguson knew that he needed to do something. Having been in finance for his entire career, he decided to set up a scholarship fund for Wyoming Turning Point USA students.
One unique point of his scholarship is that it will not only reach university-bound students, tech school students would also qualify. It's called the Wyoming Faith and Freedom Fund. He sat down with me to discuss the idea behind it and how it's going to work.
Cowboy State Politics has uncovered Sheridan "teacher," Josh Hanson's Bluesky account. It is replete with exactly what he thinks should be done with conservatives. He calls them fascists, of course. In one case, he comes very close to threatening Wyoming legislators. This is the same Josh Hanson that I reported on back in September.
In another case of social media posting by teachers, Marie Hamilton of the Southeast Wyoming Sentinel joins me to discuss a Goshen County teacher who is also the spouse of the school superintendent--Stacy Kramer. Her posts clearly violate the school district's social media policy.
Hanson's social media posts are available at https://cowboystatepolitics.com/Show-Content.html
Marie Hamilton's report is available here: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1JTjexHySE/
Laramie County Commissioner Gunnar Malm thinks that government should give your tax dollars to his political allies. He doesn't come out and say that but it's exactly what he means by government picking winners and losers. He wants winners. Not kidding, he actually wrote that.
Really, government shouldn't be advantaging one business over another--they don't get to choose which business succeeds and which one fails. That's called socialism, pure and simple.
Sheridan Democrat Hollis Hackman claims in the Sheridan Press that Rep Pendergraft is going to hack away the Wyoming Department of Health Budget. Had he bothered to do any research at all, his op-ed wouldn't have been completely wrong. Surprising though it may be, a piece in Wyofile directly contradicts what Hackman is claiming.
There are hundreds of millions of dollars worth of privately owned buildings in Wyoming that pay next to nothing in property taxes. It's worse than that though, you paid for most of them through the Wyoming Community Development Authority. Rebecca Bextel joins me to explain that in almost every Wyoming county, a Montana company owns and operates so-called affordable housing buildings. And, it's almost all on your dime.
There have been several GOP events this past week. All of them honored Charlie Kirk and all of them were very patriotic. But that's not what the Wyoming media is leading you to believe. One of them went completely ignored by the media and the state GOP Chairman. The other two were characterized only by division. Anyone who paid attention would have seen what was really going on. But that's not their agenda.
Agent 29 sings BOTH verses of the Star Spangled Banner at the Sheridan event; and Gabe Saint and the Wyoming Freedom Caucus honor the legacy of Charlie Kirk at another.
Monday, Trump issued a Presidential Proclamation changing the name of Columbus Day back to Columbus Day. The breadth and scope of everything Biden changed in four years, is really incredible. But why is this significant? Why change it back? Easy. If the left can convince you that Columbus slaughtered a whole bunch of people, it's pretty easy to say that's how our country started. Also, I completely forgot to celebrate the 950th episode of Cowboy State Politics.
Admit it or not, in education, Wyoming has a lot in common with California. We like to claim that we're different but when you look at policies, Wyoming does many of the same things as the left coast. Leslie Sawyer is the California Legislative Chair for Moms for Liberty. She has been right in the middle of some of the high profile education fights in California. In education, we aren't becoming California, in many ways, we are already there.
Kylie Wall is the Natrona County High School senior who has been having a disagreement with school administration. After her Turning Point USA Club America chapter was approved, high school staff started harassing her. He club posters were torn down among other things. When the press started asking questions, the principal told Kylie she couldn't talk to the press in her free time. An outrageous infringement of her rights. Kylie joined me to talk about the entire situation.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live from October 9. There's a deal in the Hamas War, Spying on members of Congress and Senator Cheri Steinmetz called in to talk about her trip to Israel
Yesterday it was revealed that Jack Smith's investigation spied on U.S. Senators. In talking with Rep Hageman, it turns out that it wasn't just Senators; there was at least one member of the House who was surveilled. Rep Hageman has her own thoughts about this. We discussed that breaking news, the government shutdown and a few other items.
A shock poll says that 2/3 of Democrats view socialism more favorably than capitalism. My friend Ovie Muntean lived through real communism and socialism in Romania. He's going to be in Sheridan this weekend to attend our Reagan Day dinner and to tell Wyoming young people what socialism really looks like.
Conservatives have a really hard time understanding why Democrats and their less honest counterparts in the Republican Party can lie so easily. It doesn't really have anything to do with what they're telling you at the moment. It's that they are trying to get you to believe ALL lies. The government shutdown is a perfect example: several democrats will swear that this isn't about illegal immigrants. Why, when it so obviously is? It's part of a larger strategy.
Weston County Clerk Becky Hadlock single-handedly messed up the 2024 election in Weston County. She tried to cover it up; made multiple conflicting statements to the media and maintained that she didn't do anything wrong. Since then, she's been subpoenaed by a legislative committee investigating her actions. True to form, she blew that off. Last November I published an extensive episode about the entire affair. I even interviewed Hadlock herself.
Senator Lummis weighed in on the Jimmy Kimmel controversy. While she was referring to FCC licenses, her comments about the First Amendment were in-artful at best. Susan Stubson too full advantage by penning a piece in the Cow Pie conveniently leaving out the whole FCC part of the quotation to score political points.
Reps Karlee Provenza and Mike Yin, both Democrats, held an event in Sheridan this week. Both of them dropped by the studio to discuss what they are doing as well as a whole bunch of other topics. We didn't agree on much of anything, but we were able to have a civil discussion--something we seem to be lacking right now.
A Teacher in Sheridan was caught calling all of us who mourn the death of Charlie Kirk a name--a not so flattering one. Also the school board in Natrona County is protecting a male custodian in an elementary school who dresses as a woman. They're not too worried about the kids in the school, it's the janitor. Rep Jaime Lien joins the program to discuss the school board meeting where this was brought up.
Peter Cozzens is the author of new book Deadwood: Gold Guns and Greed in the American West. It's a fascinating look into a town with a lot of Wyoming connections. Wild Bill Hickok wasn't quite the celebrity in Deadwood we all think and Calamity Jane wasn't really the person all her pictures make her out to be. It's a fascinating history read that feels more like a novel than anything.
The Wyoming Democrats and the WY media are working overtime to portray conservatives, and specifically Charlie Kirk, as racist. State Sen Rothfuss said that MAGA is "racist at is core." Their charge is based on claims that aren't true at all. In the case of Kirk, that claim is based on things that he said about Martin Luther King--things that are true.
Gabe Saint, the President of Turning Point USA in Casper spoke at an event hosted by Liberty's Place for You. He spoke for about an hour and covered a wide range of issues. Coming a few days after Charlie Kirk's assassination, what he had to say was enlightening and uplifting. Also, a special announcement that I have been dying to tell you about!!
All of us are in a battle of free speech. The best way to counter vile and hateful speech is with more speech. It's worth remembering when the University of Wyoming rescinded an invitation to an admitted domestic terrorist. It's a good example of what not to do. The question is what should all of us do instead? Call a spade a spade.
Happy Birthday to Me!! The Wyoming Democrats wasted no time calling Charlie Kirk a racist. Provenza, who shouldn't be talking about violent rhetoric decided to denounce it. And, Rothfuss showed his expertise in taking Charlie Kirk entirely out of context. And, of course, the Cow Pie went right along with all of it.
U.S. Senator Cynthia Lummis joins the program to reflect on the life of Charlie Kirk, the September 11th attack and to share what's going on in the United States Senate.
Harriet recently visited Grand Teton National Park for an onsite committee meeting. Not surprisingly, the federal government has problems federal permitting for projects on land that it owns. We also discussed the Clinton era "roadless rule." It's not a law but a rule that was adopted by the the U.S. Forest Service. According to Harriet that is the reason for many forest fires and beetle kills in the west. It's a great discussion.
Josh Dorrell is the CEO of the Wyoming Business Council. I've long been an opponent of this agency because it's not the proper role of government to be monkeying around in the free-market. Over it's existence, Wyoming taxpayers have dumped over half-a-billion dollars into it. All the while Wyoming's GDP actually went down. And, yes, I asked him about that. Josh was kind enough to sit down and have a frank discussion about his agency and its proper place.
There is no such thing as affordable housing. It always turns into a scheme to take your tax dollars. The most recent example is a housing project in Jackson. Millions of your dollars were spent to build a big building that private companies are benefiting from. Rebecca Bextel joins me to discuss the Ford Broncos and Mercedes Benz's in the parking lot of this thing.
All but 1 Wyoming school district did not give their staff the 8.5% raise promised by the legislature. Most gave a salary increase far below that. HB316 specifically says that teachers and staff get 8.5%, that only happened in 1 county.
Happy Marxist, Communist, Radical Domestic Terrorist Day!! There's a lot more to Labor Day than just barbeques, fishing and having fun. The reason you aren't working is because of Marxists!
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live August 28. Reaction to the Gail Symons podcast. Eric Barlow has to resign his chairmanship and a federal judge in Wyoming has dismissed the UW sorority lawsuit because he's not a biologist and can't define what a woman is. You can't make this stuff up!
Last Thursday during the Cowboy State Daily Morning Show, Gail Symons claimed that a reprehensible comment made years prior by Rep Steve Harshman about now Secretary of State Chuck Gray was, "Not Inaccurate." The only reason she brought it up is she thought no one would remember. That wasn't the only insult she leveled at conservatives. Predictably, Morning Show host Jake Nichols didn't correct her or push back in any way.
This episode contains inappropriate language.
Tomorrow on the program I'm going to play for you the reprehensible things Gail Symons said about Secretary of State Chuck Gray. I'd say that Jake in the Cow Pie agreed with her but, frankly, he doesn't know what she's talking about. After tomorrow he will.
The Wyoming GOP held their quarterly meeting in Hulett over the weekend. As usual, I was left to do the job the Wyoming media refuses to do. There were several resolutions presented but the one concerning federal lands caught my attention.
Sheridan County Commissioner Nick Siddle wants to raise your taxes. Nick and the Transportation Committee considered a 10 CENT raise to the gas tax at their last meeting. WYDOT claims that they have a $400 million shortfall. If that's true an increase in the gas tax wouldn't come anywhere close to closing it.
Eric Barlow claims to be a conservative but his voting record shows that he is the farthest thing from that. In the past 10 years, Barlow voted 81.88% of the time with the DEMOCRATS--hardly the work of a conservative. His record on guns and on pro-life bills isn't any better.
Gabe Saint is the President of Turning Point USA at the University of Wyoming. He's helped to change a lot of things that irritate a lot of us at our land grant university. We talked about free speech, why Trump is losing support among young people and the Wyoming he wants to see in the future.
For over 20 years, Ben Barto has been "Bone Daddy." He's been the public persona of the Beartooth Motorcycle Rally. Now he's the organizer of a professional biker rodeo association. But he has also spent most of life supporting veteran charitable organizations.

Recap of The World According to Ogden. He was up until the wee hours of the morning trying to defend his record. "Trying" is the operative word. It's pretty hard to defend voting against a bill that would have allowed your doctor to prescribe Ivermectin and Hydroxychloroquine when you obtained some for your own family. Interview with U.S. Rep Harriet Hageman and much much more.
Some legislators get an elitist attitude when they have been in the legislature too long. Ogden Driskill is a perfect example of that. While Senate President he never would have allowed the behavior he has exhibited over the years. One thing's for certain, he's a never-ending source of soundbites.
We should start referring to comments on social media as exactly what they are. Most of them have no support or evidence to back up their claims--they're just inane noise; which, is mostly what you get from the Redcoats. My advice, just ignore them.
After the closing of 8 newspapers, you'd think the Wyoming media would take stock of where they're at--what they could do to improve. But they didn't. Media outlets continued in their biased coverage and one of them published an editorial openly admitting that they are the gate-keepers of information.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live August 7. The closing of 8 Wyoming newspapers. Why the media is failing and where they went wrong. That, and much much more.
Legislators ask you to trust them on a whole host of issues. You shouldn't trust them on anything. As Reagan said, "Trust but verify." Some of the Senators and Representatives are asking for your trust; but those same people really didn't act in your best interests during COVID. Trust the Science is what we were all told. Not again!
There's been some push back to some of the legislative ratings sites. The scrutiny is absolutely legitimate. Know what the goal and agenda of the site is before you make a decision to trust the results or not.
Join host David Iverson in this engaging episode of Cowboy State Politics as we delve into a thought-provoking roundtable discussion featuring prominent Wyoming representatives. Broadcasting from the base of the bighorns, David and his guests explore the Wyoming Freedom Caucus's principles amidst recent political controversies and media narratives.
In the first segment, the conversation unpacks the labeling of the Freedom Caucus as the 'new right' by local media and examines its implications. Guests John Bear, Bill Allemand, Chris Knapp and Agent 29 offer insights into conservative values and clarify misconceptions related to capitalism and government intervention.
The episode then shifts to an intensive debate on nuclear energy and the potential establishment of nuclear waste storage in Wyoming. Representatives share genuine concerns about safety, federal influence, and community impact, particularly highlighting the need for transparency and cautious policy making.
As the discussion unfolds, listeners are encouraged to engage with multifaceted views on conservatism, political labeling, and Wyoming's strategic decisions, providing a comprehensive overview of current state politics.
Senator Jim Anderson is the Senate Chairman of the minerals committee. He also doesn't care if you know what he really thinks. During this past week's interim meeting, Anderson repeatedly swore on the microphone. He also allowed Ogden Driskill to basically call other legislators liars and attack the Freedom Caucus--something what would absolutely not be allowed on the legislative floor.
Speaker of the Wyoming House, Chip Neiman joins the program for a wide ranging interview. The explosive minerals committee meeting, if he is going to run for governor and much more.
Sheridan Attorney Seth Shumaker doesn't exactly see things the same way as the former chief justice. After the interview with Kate Fox, I wanted a different perspective--certainly lawyers have a different view of things. Though it's a complete shock, I found a pretty conservative one!
Gail Symons wants you to believe we live in democracy. She says that everyone should read what the founders wrote. I agree; she should too. Symons has a history of making contradictory comments. This is the most recent example. It's the Cow Pie's latest attempt at convincing you of something that's not true.
An EXCLUSIVE interview with Former Chief Justice of the Wyoming Supreme Court, Kate Fox. We talked about the judicial nominating process and whether or not there's any politics involved; threats to judges and I get her thoughts on judicial review and restraint.
On the next Cowboy State Politics Live, former Chief Justice of the Wyoming Supreme Court, Kate Fox joins the program. We're going to talk about the judicial selection process and increased threats to members of the judiciary. We'll also open up the phone lines if you have a question for Justice Fox.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live for July 24. The Dignity Act is just a fancy way of saying amnesty. AI and where we are going with it. Former Rep Mark Baker joins the program.
There have been discussions about regulating naturopathic medicine in Wyoming. There's already been an interim committee meeting about it. I spoke with Naturopathic Doctor Dan Young about it. Predictably, he thinks that's a bad idea.
There are still newspapers that print the news--that actually do journalism. That's opposed to rags that print nothing but opinion and attempt to tell you what to think. On our weekend I came across a small paper in Basin reporting on the same thing as the Cow Pie but with very different results.
1 year ago, I talked Christine into marrying me. So, we decided to slip away for the weekend. Here's a replay of yesterday's Open Line Friday. It's an interesting episode with a couple of callers and several different stories. Have a good weekend!
Author of the book Rules for Defeating Radicals, Chris Adamo, made the news and he didn't even know it. I called him to get his reaction to the story about christian TV stars all the sudden supporting not so christian things. We also discussed why there really are socialists and communists campaigning for high office.
Joseph Kaufman is running for congress in Florida's 23rd District. He is a counter-terrorism expert and he knows the Crown Prince of Iran. We had a great discussion about what is actually happening here at home and in the Middle East.
Someone was wearing a Mark Gordon suit at the Ramaco Ribbon Cutting. What he said was completely different than his usual climate change nonsense. Rep. Harriet Hageman joins the program to discuss the Big Beautiful Bill and we try to figure out what the Senate Parliamentarian's role actually is.
Shocking Audio from the Management Audit Committee. State Government Department of Audit Employee calls his job "A JOKE!" This is a must listen to episode!
Many of the Republicans in the Wyoming Legislature want you to believe that the Freedom Caucus passed bills that seriously damaged your liberties. Teton County Democrat Mike Yin recently wrote an op-ed in the Cow Pie that claims just that. The only problem is he didn't provide a single example to back up what he was saying. The truth? It's exactly the opposite of what he is saying.
Why did the Wyoming Tribune Eagle publish a clearly anti-American op-ed the day after Independence Day? It's not because they're interested in presenting both sides, that's not their style. It's because that's the prevailing opinion of their editorial board. Regardless, the headline on their opinion section the day after Independence Day: We Shouldn't Have Won (The Revolution).
We were in a very different place a year ago. Many of us didn't know if our country would survive. But things have changed. This July 5th, it's important to remember so maybe we don't repeat the same mistakes. The place we should start is with THE Declaration.
The Wyoming legislature has said no to nuclear waste storage numerous times. But when Senate President "Bo" Biteman traveled to Florida he said something entirely different. He wants the radioactive waste. Cowboy State Politics has obtained exclusive audio of him making all of those comments.
Dr Taylor Haynes joins me to discuss Wyoming's relationship with the federal government. He had a proposal when he was running for governor to take back Wyoming's land from the federal government. He says that's the correct avenue and not the one Mike Lee was proposing.
They Wyoming left and the media constantly claims that the Freedom Caucus only focuses on national issues. Two of the newest members of the media crowd, Amy Edmonds and Jake from the Cow Pie had to join in. The problem is, the facts never line up with their rhetoric.
Reid Rasner has been sending out cease and desist letters to his detractors for infringing on his copyrights. He actually claims that his face is copyrighted. There's one wrinkle though, he's claiming to own the copyright for a logo that is actually owned by someone else. I told you it's confusing.
Documents obtained by Cowboy State Politics show that failed U.S. Senate candidate Reid Rasner has been sending cease and desist letters to his detractors. He also claims to own the copyright to a logo already owned by someone else. With Reid, you just can't make this stuff up!
We finally took out Iran's nuclear sites. Now, the media and congress are up in arms claiming that Trump's actions are unconstitutional. But are they? The short answer, no. Beyond that, it was the right thing to do anyway.
The sale of federal public lands has been blowing up in the media and social media. All the posts refer to a map that supposedly showing where those lands are at. No one is asking who made the map and if it is at all accurate. Spoiler, it's not and it was made by some very shady people--one of whom is a radical Democrat in Wyoming.
Rep Hageman called in to Open Line Friday today to talk about the land sale in the Big Beautiful Bill. In short, the land sale is strictly targeted and isn't going to result in your favorite fishing hole being sold.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live June 19. The Democrats must denounce all of the No Kings Protests. Trump has the largest spike in wages since 1969. Who is the Shah of Iran?
Boom! 350,000 Downloads! Democrat Rep Trey Sherwood from Laramie joins me to talk about so-called affordable housing, guns and a whole bunch of other stuff we disagree about. It's a great conversation.
Tomorrow, Democrat Rep Trey Sherwood from Laramie joins me to talk about guns in schools, affordable housing and we have a difference of opinion about the Constitution.
Trump has cancelled $49M project for carbon capture. It was part of a giant green racket that goes back to 2020 in the Wyoming Legislature. They actually called it a scheme. Like all green energy and climate plans, it has nothing to do with the environment.
Did Betsy Ross really design and sew the first American Flag? Or was it someone else? The communists--actual communists--are throwing nation-wide protests this weekend. They want you to believe they're all grassroots. But it's no more organic than the signs that are professionally printed.
Replay - Cowboy State Politics Live June 12. Interview with U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman. Repeal of the FACE Act. Why is the left is reaching out to sports casters? Because they have nothing left!
There are two big issues right now--the Big Beautiful Bill and the riots in LA. To get a perspective on both of them, U.S. Rep Harriet Hageman sat down with me for a few minutes to talk about them both.
Wednesday, U.S. Rep Harriet Hageman joins the program to talk about the Big Beautiful Bill and what to do with the riots in Los Angeles.
What happens in Cheyenne doesn't stay in Cheyenne and some Sweetwater County representatives don't like that. Rep Darin McCann published an op-ed critical of his colleagues about a parental rights bill. What ensued is an editorial slap-fest. I thought we should hear it from Rep McCann himself.
Elon Musk and Trump are having a food fight that rivals 3rd graders left unattended. Justin Robert Young of the We're Not Wrong and Politics, Politics, Politics podcasts and Josh Jennings from The Blaze join me to discuss what this is, where it goes and how it's going to end up.
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/were-not-wrong/id1623909217
Jim Pfaff is the President of the Conservative Caucus--a national grassroots organization that's been around since the 70's. It's a great wide-ranging interview. Also, I attended a Ranchester Town Council Meeting. The entire meeting can best be described as a clown show.
https://www.theconservativecaucus.org/
During the 2025 Legislative Session, Senate Leadership violated Wyoming ethics laws by allowing political operatives to use legislative offices for their political activities. Statute 9-13-105 clearly prohibits the use of state facilities for any political purposes.
Some alleged conservatives used to be in favor of ethics laws. Evidently though, when you gain power, those same laws don't mean as much. On Monday's installment of the program, I'll show you the evidence of those laws being ignored.
Author of Rules for Defeating Radicals, Chris Adamo, joins me to discuss the state of the Democrat party. All of the polls are saying they're finished. But, are they? Chris and I discuss how they always have a plan.
Cowboy State Politics is included in the 100 Podcasts That You Should Listen to in 2025! And, there's a reason why podcasts and other independent media are thriving right now. That reason can be found on the opinion page of any statewide newspaper.

It's Memorial Day weekend 2025. It's important to remember what Memorial Day is actually about.
You pay over $3,000,000.00 worth of memberships in associations for you elected officials. Many of them lobby against your interests. The Wyoming Education Association can't tell you what is porn and what is not. And, an update from Saturday's installment of the program.
Most county officials have never had to cut their budgets. Recent proposed spending levels are over and above what they were last year despite the passage of SF69. A perfect example is in Sheridan where county officials proposed cutting spending by .11%. It's moving the deck chairs on the Titanic.
Questions still remain about SF40 and how a bill that is so clearly a property rights issue was killed in the Wyoming Senate. Audio obtained by Cowboy State Politics might shed some light on it.
Replay - Cowboy State Politics Live May 16. Interview with Gubernatorial Candidate Joseph Kibler..
Tuesday, Sheridan County School District #2 held a forum to talk about HB 172, the repeal of gun free zones. What I found was a group of teachers who are grossly misinformed about firearms and the facts.
Both Gail Symons and Rep Cody Wylie published op-eds over the weekend. Both of them expose the obvious hypocrisy in their arguments. While not surprising, it shows the shallowness of the Wyoming Left's argument.
The Equality State Policy Center has filed a lawsuit attempting to strike down the recently passed voting residency requirement. Their lawsuit makes some crazy claims which amount to calling you stupid. Also, Sunday is Mother's Day, don't forget!
The Wyoming GOP has a new chairman. Bryan Miller won with a vote of 42-32. As usual, a couple of controversies have developed over the election. But do they carry any merit? Also, a couple of claims have emerged about WyoRINO's 2025 results. The folks who raved about them before now claim they're in error. But are they?
WyoRINO has released their 2025 legislative scorecard. It clearly shows who's a Redcoat and who's a conservative. The other revealing piece of information is who dropped in the ratings. It's a specific group and the change is dramatic.
Bob Ferguson is the current treasurer of the Wyoming Republican Party. He's running to be the vice-chairman in Saturday's election. We had a great discussion. Also, a federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit brought by Rock Springs parents Ashley and Sean Willey. They had sued the school district for attempting to socially transition their daughter. 2 years ago, I interviewed them.
Charlie Kirk's Turning Point USA held an event at the University of Wyoming this past week. This is the complete recording of his speech and question and answer session.
The 851st episode of Cowboy State Politics! A lawsuit has been filed to overturn Wyoming's ban on crossover voting. The suit though is an outgrowth of a much more endemic problem in our court system--that you have radical redcoats appointing activist judges that want to act like the legislature.
Candidate for Wyoming GOP Chairman Bryan Miller joined me in the studio to discuss his race. That election will be held next Saturday May 3. This is the 850th episode of Cowboy State Politics!
There's an attempt to create a Wyoming aristocracy--that we should only listen to those who are from here. That's a silly argument and a piece in the Cow Pie explains it succinctly. Also, the Sheridan City Council predictably went ahead with their giveaway.
Protests were held across the state this weekend. I went down and talked with a few of them. Apparently I don't understand why they're protesting because I'm a just a white male. I am not even kidding. After talking with them, it's clear they don't know why they're protesting either.
Every county and city in Wyoming gives away your tax dollars to ridiculous causes--cat shelters, business development organizations and a whole host of others. The Wyoming Constitution is clear: government can't do that unless it's to support the poor. But local governments, state-wide, ignore that. A recent Sheridan City Council Meeting is a perfect example.
Ever wondered why your emails hardly ever get a response? It could be they're sent directly to spam. Some legislators don't see a problem with that. During a recent Management Council meeting, senators and representatives discussed how their email system handles bulk emails. They're response tells you a lot about their view of your participation.
Rep Tom Kelly joins the program to talk about schools, spending and his vote on HB64 the ultra-sound requirement for abortions. Tom was one of the few legislators to vote against it all the way through.
Rebecca Bextel is running to be the Chairman of the Wyoming Republican Party. She sat down with me earlier this week for an in depth interview. Also, Mark Gordon chooses Bridget Hill to fill the vacancy on the Wyoming Supreme Court.
On Saturday's Weekend Update, Rebecca Bextel joins the program to discuss her run to be the chairman of the Wyoming Republican Party. If you want to get to know her, this is the interview.
Rep Harriet Hageman joins me to set the record straight on her town halls. The media hasn't told you the whole story of why her in-person events were cancelled. The congresswoman reveals that there's a very good reason why. Also, we discuss her view on Trump's tariffs.
On Thursday, Rep Harriet Hageman returns to the program to talk about what really happened around her town halls. It's another example of things that don't normally happen in Wyoming and she talks about it only on Cowboy State Politics
The Cow Pie finally decided to report on the big stack of cases on AG Bridget Hill's desk. Evidently, in Wyoming election related crimes don't get prosecuted. And now, we are considering giving Hill another high profile job.
Is there any gold left in Fort Knox? That's the question I tried to answer with historian and owner of U.S. Coin Capital Fred Dashevsky. We talked about the history of the Federal Reserve and whether it matters, or not that there's any gold left. His answer might surprise you.
On Weekend Update, the owner of U.S. Coin Capitol joins me to try to figure out if there's any gold left in Fort Knox. His answer might surprise you. Also, he gives a history of the federal reserve and it's role in creating our current debt situation.
Full audio from the Sheridan Democrat Party Meeting held on March 11, 2025. This is raw audio so the quality isn't the best.
Gabriel Green calls himself a Democrat In Name Only. He joined me for an interview to talk about his comments during a Democrat Central Committee meeting that was held in Sheridan. It's an interesting interview.
Today is the deadline for all county Republican Parties in Wyoming to have their elections. In just about all of them there are liberals claiming to be conservative. Sheridan is no exception.
Rep Tom Kelly was interviewed by Wyoming Public Media about the session. One of his votes caught my attention--HB64. Kelly claims that it amounts to a mandate which is against the GOP Platform. I disagree. Also The Sheridan Press has published a piece that seemingly contradicts their earlier claim. But does it? Not even close.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live March 27. 1/3 of DC judges are foreign-born and all of them have their hands in Trump cases. Tulsi Gabbard says climate change isn't the national security threat that liberals claim. And, Who's on First?
The Wyoming Democrat Party has issued a statement about Rep Hageman's cancellation of in-person town halls. It's as disingenuous as you'd expect. Also an update on Monday's story about the Sheridan Press. Where most people would admit fault, the Sheridan Press doubles down!
The Sheridan Press has made a provably false accusation about the Sheridan County Republican Party. They claimed the party had failed a legal requirement to notice a meeting. That claim was hilariously printed directly beside the legally required ad. This amounts to nothing less than the media's political activism at the national level
The last bill in the Freedom Caucus' 5 and Dime Plan has passed into law. Rep Pendergraft joins me to discuss those key pieces of legislation. The media and the other side said that conservatives couldn't govern--seems like they all were wrong about that. Also, some hints at what I have been working on.
Audio from Rep Hageman's town hall last night--the rowdy crowd, snarky responses and Harriet standing her ground.
Guns and Babies are the two subjects that always come up in the Wyoming Legislature. Gordon just vetoed SF196 Amendments to the Second Amendment Protection Act. Of course, there's a lawsuit against one of the abortion bills that the governor signed. Weird, they want it moved to Teton County.
The Democrats are just as nuts in Wyoming as they are in the rest of the country. Multiple Harriet Hageman events have been disrupted recently by them. Audio from inside a Sheridan County Democrat meeting proves they're planning to disrupt another event. Also some curious comments from a 28 year old Democrat who claims to have infiltrated the Freedom Caucus.
Rep John Bear joins me to talk about the 2025 session. It's a very different perspective than what the media has been feeding you. There were great conservative bills that didn't get heard, there is no $1.3 Billion and lots more.
Rep Ken Pendergraft joins the program for the entire hour to discuss the session--what passed, what didn't pass. He also talked about a very personal bill for him that is now Wyoming law.
Chris Adamo is the author of the book Rules for Defeating Radicals. He wrote it based on his observations of Redcoats in Wyoming. Our interview is a 30,000 foot view of this year's legislative session.
On Wednesday's installment of the program, author of the book Rules for Defeating Radicals Chris Adamo joins me to recap the 2025 session. Let's just say he's not all that impressed with what he saw. Cheyenne is still chock-full of Redcoats.
Legislative recaps are upon us--the time politicians tell us what they did in Cheyenne. The story they tell us is often very different than the truth. Recently, senators told Wyofile that funding measures were not crammed into other bills. But is that entirely true?
The Wyoming Attorney General has not acted on ANY election related complaint that the Wyoming Secretary of State has forwarded to that office in the last year.
In an attempt to cover up the disaster of not passing a budget, the Senate created a "zombie bill" to fund the shooting sports complex. At the same time Sen Steinmetz attempted to bring the run-off election bill to the floor. The people who voted for the zombie voted against the election integrity bill--26 of them.
The latest in my series Escape From Communism. My friend Mailyn Salabarria spent an afternoon describing the horror show that is life in communist Cuba. The idiots wearing Che t-shirts should spend 2 months there.
In a slightly delayed episode, (Thank you for your patience) It's that time of a year for bills to meet an untimely death. The comparison between the chambers is interesting. Convention of States got beat yet again in the House.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live February 27. WEA Lawsuit against the Wyoming Legislature. Bo Biteman kills the budget and Gene Hackman has died. Jeff Bezos says that he is going to focus on personal liberties and free markets.
The Senate JCC and some in the media is claiming there was a deal in place to finish off SF69. Members of the House Joint Conference Committee say that no such deal existed. One big reason that such a deal never existed is that it would be against the joint rules of the legislature. House JCC members Reps Tony Locke and Chris Knapp as well as Rep John Bear join me to discuss it.
The Attorney General is no fan of your gun rights. HB234 would have forced her to do something if your gun purchases were being tracked by credit card companies. The Senate killed it. Also, an update from the SF40 episode--one more prominent Representative that can't seem to tell the truth.
Convention of States will he heard in the House Education Committee tomorrow. A year ago, Sen Bo Biteman and a representative from Convention of States Action debated me and Leah Southwell from the John Birch Society. It was a smack-down of epic proportions.
Some counties in Wyoming are engaging in socialism in the name of "affordable housing." It's worse than you think, they are actually taking money from home owners and giving it to people who didn't earn it. SF40 would stop it but some in the Wyoming Senate is trying to kill the bill to help their liberal allies.
Teaser for Weekend Update. What happens when you refer to a chairman as "madame." Even in Wyoming there are people that think they are entitled to the fruits of your labor. How one simple bill that should be a no-brainer has exposed some in the legislature for who they are.
The Wyoming County Commissioners Association is not the conservative group you are led to believe. It's no big surprise considering their chairwoman is an elected Democrat.
A tax cut is not a benefit. It's the government taking less of your money. Some are claiming SF69 as the "crown jewell" of this legislative session. It's not. Thursday, an amendment was added in the House that goes a long way towards a better solution.
Rep Bob Davis says if the federal government prints more money the state should just raise taxes. Another idea is SF96 which requires Wyoming to hold precious metals. Fred Dashevsky of U.S. Coin Capitol joins the program to talk about how important the bill is.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live February 13. SF69 and all the insanity on the floor. Most of what everyone is saying about the bill isn't true. School boards and party affiliation and more..
Gillette Representative Ken Clouston joins me to discuss a few bills that have gone through the House. There's some leaking going on about ICE raids in Jackson. Lloyd Larsen thinks that we should continue to fund booze fueled drag shows because Jesus healed lepers.
Wednesday, Campbell County Representative Ken Clouston joins me to talk education and HB199. Do home school parents actually get a check under the bill?
Some Senators made it clear why they voted for SF69 and it's not exactly to give tax relief to Wyoming Citizens. Former Representative and current Campbell County Commissioner Scott Clem joins the program to talk about that and the larger problem of high property taxes.
There's no rule against legislating in the budget. It's a practice that I don't care for but sometimes it's necessary if you have exhausted all other options. On Friday, the Redocats threw a fit about it--even though they're the experts in the practice.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live February 6. The shooting sports complex. Breaking news about the Rock Springs and Buffalo RMP's. What's been happening in the Wyoming Senate.
Rep Ann Lucas' obscenity bill is waiting for a hearing in committee. The Senate passed a 50% tax reduction in residential property taxes. There's a ton of people claiming that the sky is falling. But really, in this case, 50% equals a lot less. Also, I welcome a new sponsor to the program.
The Speaker of the House held a press conference Friday morning. Present, were members of the Wyoming media and me. Are conservatives on the appropriations committee base-line budgeting? Yes, but there's a reason for it.
Speaker of the House Chip Neiman joins the program to talk about his priorities for the session and to clear up a lot of confusion about one of the Five and Dime Plan bills--HB80. Also, the wheels may be starting to come off the Redcoats composure in the House.
Wednesday, Wyoming Speaker of the House Chip Neiman joins me to discuss his legislative priorities. We also spoke about some of the more controversial bills like HB80
Wyoming could be broke in a couple of years if we keep up with the crazy spending trend we are on. But, some politicians aren't interested in reducing our spending--they'd rather create a fiscal crisis that forces Wyoming counties and towns to sue the state.
Elissa Campbell tried to gut the repeal of gun free zones more times than all of the Democrats combined. On the floor she literally said Wyoming Citizens don't understand complex issues.
Cowboy State Politics Live January 24, 2025. WYFC Passes their 5 and Dime Plan. Harshman and his tax cuts for the rich. Elitism in the House of Representatives--you're just too stupid to understand. FACE Act repeal. Ultrasound requirement before an abortion.
Senate Joint Resolution 1 is this year's version of the Convention of States. It's pretty much the same as the last ten times its been defeated in Wyoming, with a few new twists. Two years ago Mark Meckler and I tangled in the Senate Corporations Committee.
Rep Jarvis claims she is voting based upon the results of a survey she sent to constituents. If all we are doing is number crunching and then voting accordingly we may as well have a House full of bots like Vic the AI Bot. There's a bunch wrong with the idea--not the least of which is it's pretty much what the Redcoats accused conservatives of doing.
Rep Hageman joins me for an exclusive interview to discuss the COAL Act and the First Amendment Accountability Act that she has introduced in the House. We also discussed her committee assignments and what the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is doing to Wyoming now. You aren't going to believe it.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live Jan 17. What is a Woman Act, HB147 the Anti DEI bill. Soundbites from the floor and much more!
On Saturday's Installment of Weekend Update, U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman joins the program. She's introduced a number of bills--one to stop D.C.'s war on Wyoming Coal and another to hold bureaucrats responsible for trashing your First Amendment Rights. Saturday on Cowboy State Politics.
Sen Eric Barlow has been no friend to the pro-life movement whenever he's in charge. He has prevented numerous anti-abortion bills from even being debated on the floor. Senator Larry Hicks objected to Barlow's appointment as chairman of Senate Health and Labor yesterday for this reason.
There are a lot of bills this session intended to misdirect your attention--beer, guns, fireworks and others. Most of them don't accomplish very much except to distract you from is really going on.
Just in time for the legislative session, the Pravda on the Platte has fired up its climate hysteria. They claim that climate change and specifically CO2 is "imperiling all live on Earth." Preposterous.
Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray joins me to discuss the upcoming legislative session--his priorities and what he wants accomplished. We also discussed sanctuary counties in the State of Wyoming.
Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray joins the program to talk about his 2025 legislative agenda and about the problem of Wyoming Sanctuary Counties.
The Democrats have objected to every Republican Presidential victory for more than the last 20 years. True to form, they always blame Republicans for what they themselves are doing.
Wyoming Citizens paid for junkets to Mexico to study bean production. It's absolutely true. But the Redcoats and their allies in the media have the temerity to criticize conservative attempts to rein in the Wyoming budget. Incoming House Appropriations member Rep Scott Smith joins me to discuss the upcoming 2025 legislative session.
Happy New Year!! Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live January 1, 2025. The media and the left have what is happening in the country wrong. It's not populism, it's conservatism. Conservatism always works.
There are some people who just shouldn't be President. Jimmy Carter was one of those. Nearly every choice he made was the wrong one. What he did after office was way better.
Incoming House Appropriations leaders Rep John Bear and Rep Ken Pendergraft join me to talk about their Five and Dime Plan. It's about addressing the concerns of Wyoming Citizens and not the wants of government.
The Cowboy State Politics Christmas Story! Christmas isn't about stuff, it's about the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ. Though we do celebrate with gifts, it's really about love and the thought behind the gift. The Lovely Christine makes an appearance!
2024 Christmas Special. There have been a lot of Christian artifacts unearthed this past year and several recently. Rep Mark Jennings, Charlie Cole and I discuss what they mean and why we should or shouldn't pay attention to them.
We have lots to be thankful for this Christmas; like not having to listen to Kamala Harris for 4 years and Donald Trump coming back to the White House! A piece in the Jackson Hole News and Guide calls little babies "pre-borns," and claims that we need to butt out of a woman's right to choose. I disagree!
There are a couple of bills you can always count on Rep Steve Harshman to file. This year it's his bill to change how vacancies are filled. It's entirely political and it's purpose is only to help the Redcoats. Also, the committee makeup of the House is exactly the opposite of the Senate. But there are still a few assignments I really disagree with!
Affordable housing seems to be the only thing that elected officials can talk about right now. If you listen to them, government is the only way that anyone can find a house. Might I suggest the free market?
You only need once piece of paper to keep and bear arms. SF37 adds another one. It creates an "enhanced concealed carry permit," that would allow you to carry in a school. The correct answer is to repeal gun free zones altogether and not add more government.
Rep Bob Nicholas, the current House Appropriations Chair peppered Gordon's staff with questions about the supplemental budget. But, that doesn't mean he turned over a conservative leaf. It's just a sign that he can see the writing on the wall.
Committee assignments are out and now we know exactly what Sen Bo Biteman gave up to become Senate President. 7 out of 10 committees are now controlled by liberal Redcoats. The worst one is a pro-choice senator is now the chairman of the committee that handles pro-life legislation.
Wyoming's bait and switch committee. The Regulatory Reduction Task Force was a red herring from the very beginning. Most of the people on it are the ones responsible for a lot of the regulations in the first place. It's the perfect example of leading you to believe one thing and then doing another.
Governor Gordon has signed on to a lawsuit defending Wyoming's coal industry. What happened to the whole "carbon negative" stuff? $54,000,000 was apparently not enough for Sheridan School District #2, they added another $1.51 Million to their budget.
The Season 4 Finale! As the legislative session approaches, we need to start re-educating ourselves on who these people are. They haven't changed just because leadership has. One year ago I interviewed Ryan McGowan from the Institute for Legislative Analysis. It's absolutely applicable today.
Governor Gordon has sent legislators a "supplemental budget." Typically, these are for unforeseen emergencies. Much of what is in it has nothing to do with an emergency. Wyopile is claiming that there's no basis for a state to reclaim federal lands within their borders, Rep Hageman disagrees.
Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is not about Black Friday, getting stuff or anything like that. It's about giving thanks for the blessings that we have been given. What you were told in school about Thanksgiving bears no resemblance to what actually happened. Here's the real story!
The 2025-2026 legislative leadership is almost set. Bo Biteman will be the President of the Senate and Chip Neiman will be the Speaker of the House. But that came at the cost of Tara Nethercott as Majority Floor Leader. But, that may not have been all that was given up in the Senate.
The House and Senate leadership vote happens today. As I previously reported Sen Bo Biteman and Tim Salazar made a deal with Senator Slithers, Tara Nethercott. Turns out I was right. What exactly is a TIF? It's basically a way for municipalities to borrow against future tax collection. So much for lowering taxes eh?
Judge Melisa Owens struck down Wyoming's abortion bans. She did it by unilaterally declaring that abortion is healthcare and by ignoring Wyoming Law. Paul Cox from Freedom Gold joins me to talk about what is happening in the economy now that Trump has been re-elected.
The Wyoming GOP held their State Central Committee meeting at the Sublette County Fairgrounds over the weekend. There was a resolution to support conservative leadership in the Wyoming Senate. It didn't turn out how you would expect.
The Wyoming GOP is holding their November meeting in Marbleton. Secretary of State Chuck Gray was one of the keynote speakers at the banquet Friday Night. Though his speech was about election integrity and the actions his office is taking, he also broke some news about the Weston County election nightmare.
The 750th Episode of Cowboy State Politics!! U.S. Rep Harriet Hageman joins me on the program to discuss the election, what it means and other issues.
On the next program of Cowboy State Politics, U.S. Rep Harriet Hageman joins the show to talk about the amazing re-election of President Donald Trump.
Correction Crook County Clerk Melissa Jones made an amazing statement during the canvassing board meeting in Weston County this past Friday. No Becky Hadlock didn't admit that the whole mess is her fault as she should have, her mistake was something much bigger.
Weston County's election was so messed up, the ballots had to be hand counted! Through the clerk's incompetence and her refusal to even acknowledge the problem, it took a lot longer to figure out. Exclusive interview with the Weston County Clerk and the Weston GOP Chairwoman.
Every day is a good day to be an American. But this one is a little sweeter after the historic election of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States. It was historic for a lot of reasons: mainly because the media got what they deserve.
Sources have told Cowboy State Politics that two conservative senators are making a deal with Redcoat Sen Tara Nethercott to install her as Senate President in exchange for chairmanships.
Trotsky actually provides some context! And it was about President Trump! Sheridan RAPS is a PAC that is violating Wyoming campaign finance law. It's hard not to coordinate with a PAC when you are the one funding it.
Kamala Harris and the Amendment A crowd have a couple of things in common. They've already told you what they are going to do. You just have to pay attention. When the left has never mentioned tax cuts before, it doesn't mean they're in favor of them now.
Replay of Open Line Friday! There have been a lot of changes at Cowboy State Politics and many listeners may not be aware of all of them. The podcast is published every Monday, Wednesday and Saturday; the live program is every Monday through Friday at 10am on the Independence Network, Facebook and on X.
Jon Conrad agreed to an interview on Cowboy State Politics and then didn't show up. He's running a write-in campaign against the guy he lost to in the primary, Joe Webb. I had a great discussion with him instead.
The Kelly Walsh High School marching band delivered a routine called "The Offering." In it, they 'sacrifice' a young girl on an altar--and school officials gave it the green light. Rep Pendergraft joins me for the entire hour on the program. We discussed the upcoming session, committees and legislation he has planned. This is a really fun discussion.
Sheridan City Administrator Stu McRae was on Public Pulse this past Friday. While he was there he told some whoppers about the 1% Capitol Facilities Tax that's on the ballot this year. It's a $40,000,000 tax and you should vote against it.
Rep Harriet Hageman joins me to discuss how the USFS intentionally created the conditions for beetles and fires to ravage our forested land. We also discussed FISA section 702, the FACE act and more.
After 4 long years, Cowboy State Politics can now take live calls from listeners--on the live program anyway. Today that happened. Politicians also have goals. Wyoming WYTOPP scores show students still are performing dismally. Turns out, Liz Cheney was tampering with witnesses during her show trial.
It's Columbus Day, NOT indigenous people's day. If you went to a public school there's a ton you don't know about Christopher Columbus, and the left doesn't want you to.
Rep Pepper Ottman joins me to discuss the removal of the Fremont County GOP Chairman. It's a very different story than the one Trotsky told in the Cow Pie. Trotsky's misleading "reporting" didn't stop there. There's a reason why he hardly ever gives you the full story and it's not because he's really a Republican.
If you are going to get your hands on a fairgrounds, you have to lie to the State Lands and Investment Board; or, at least that's what the Teton County Commissioners have done. In a Dec meeting, Teton County officials told the board that there are no plans to move the Teton fairgrounds. That's not at all true and I have the documents to prove it.
The Cow Pie has a new morning show. Shocker, it's just as conservative as the Cow Pie itself....or not so much. As is representative of the rest of their coverage, they're very biased against conservatives. A new study exposes that if you are a conservative, the Cow Pie is 400% more likely to give you negative coverage.
The Elk fire is now in excess of 50,000 acres. Inflation is burning a hole in your pocketbook too. It's not just the federal government's spending that causes the price of everything to go through the roof--it's the state government too. Paul Cox from Freedom Gold USA joins me to discuss.
Don't ever bring a spoon to a gunfight, or a battle of wits. But, that's exactly what Tim Walz did last night. He was unprepared and he knew it.
Every channel you turn to, you'll find a Kamala Harris had. All of them are touting a different brand of the same thing: Socialism.
The end of liberal leadership in the Wyoming Legislature is in sight. Even the Redcoats see it. Now with the help of the Wyoming media the plan is to frustrate everything the conservatives are going to do. And, it's already begun.
From the People's Republic of Jackson: the U.S. 10th Circuit just overruled another wrong-headed decision by Wyoming courts. It's a case dating back to 2021 and it includes one of the early episodes of Cowboy State Politics.
A "republican" City Councilman has come to the defense of avowed satanist and WEA lobbyist Tate Mullen.
Colonel Allen West was the keynote speaker at the Sheridan GOP Reagan Day dinner this past Saturday. His speech should be titled, We Win, They Lose. It's that simple!
Christi Haswell "apologized" during the Sheridan County Commissioner's meeting on Tuesday. Let's say it wasn't actually an apology. The WEA lobbyist is actually a satanist. Totally not kidding. Sen. Hicks, Steinmetz and Boner announce they are running for Senate leadership.
Sunday there was a second attempt on President Trump's life. The media absolutely knew who this guy is, why didn't the Secret Service? There have been numerous failures at that agency and they must be held accountable.
A week ago, a committee meeting was adjourned after 1 hour 57 minutes. Legislators have been lashing out at those candidates that beat them. Dan Zwonitzer said his committee shouldn't work because of social media and Landon Brown said his committee shouldn't work because of the last election. They're still elected, and there's still work to do.
Last night Former President Donald Trump and Vice-President Kamala faced off in what was called a debate. Really, it was ABC News and Kamala against Donald Trump. Joey and I spend an hour and a half going through a lot of it this morning. This is a great breakdown of what happened.
When you take a job, you should show up and do it. That's not what several people did this past weekend for the GOP State Meeting. One of them was caught at a UW football game instead.
Once again, the Wyoming media has intentionally omitted the big story from the State Central Committee meeting in Douglas this past weekend. It wasn't the resolutions that were passed or not passed. It was not the discussion of election integrity. The real story is what Wyoming State Treasurer Curt Meier had to say when he was given the microphone.
Rod Miller joins me to discuss Title 22 and Wyoming election law--specifically why the state has no business being involved with political parties.
What do Greek generals and Wyoming politicians have in common? A lot as it turns out. With the primary election over it's time for conservatives to start charting a course for the next session. But how they do it is important.
House District 44 has always been different than many others in Wyoming. It routinely elects Republicans and Then Democrats. After winning the primary election, Lee Filer joins the program again.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live August 26. I go over all the legislative races that have Democrats and Independents running in them.
It's no great mystery what happened in the 2024 Primary Election; but you wouldn't know that by listening to the media. Rep Chip Neiman joins me to discuss the primary election and what Wyoming can expect moving forward.
The 2024 Primary Election came to a close with a big red wave. Conservatives won a clear majority in the House of Representatives. John Bear joins me on the program to visit about it.
Rep Hageman joined me this morning on the live program to talk about her 46th town hall and to visit about the election.
I have the documents from the Redcoat PAC that sent out mailers in Sheridan County. I also obtained a copy of the Sheridan County School District 2 budget--the one that the school board refused to publish. Troy McKeown joins me to talk about his race in Senate District 24.
Sheridan County GOP Chairman Bryan Miller joins me to discuss his ideas about the races in Northeast Wyoming. We cover a lot of the politics surrounding several races as well as candidates we favor. Also I tell you about a campaign mailer sent to Sheridan County Citizens by Gail Symons and Terry Weitzel.
Albert Sommers and the Cow Pie claim there's no connection between the State Legislative Leaders Foundation and the Communist Party of China. That's not true and I have the evidence. But this story reaches far deeper than just that one organization.
Mark Jennings joins me on the program to respond to all of the mailers that have been sent out against him. Barry Crago has spent $50,000.00 more than Jennings in an effort to defeat him. Mark and I had a great discussion about what is and is not true in Barry's campaign material.
Joey and I discuss everything we have found with the SLLF this far. It's a prelude to the show that's coming. Stay Tuned!!
Rep Tony Locke is running for re-election in House District 35 in Natrona County. His opponent is another one of these that refused to come on the program or show up at debates. Tony and I discussed everything from taxes to education to Rocky Mountain Power.
SCSD2 Chairman Shane Rader passed a $54 Million budget without public comment. He didn't even ask for it. The huge budget was only posted 10 hours before it was passed. Sheridan County Commissioner Christie Haswell violated the terms of her bail agreement by purchasing wine. Someone had to ask in public about both of these!
Albert Sommers has been responding to our story of how he ties to the Chinese Communists. Well, kind of. He has been posting on his Facebook page. Joey and I talked about that story, the Gail Symons interview and we discovered the mascot for the Wyoming Caucus.
Four years later, Gail Symons decided to sit for an interview on the program. We had a wide ranging discussion in which we discussed some of the major issues in this campaign. I also asked her some of the same questions from her first appearance on the show. It's an enlightening interview (and perspective) into what it means to be a republican.
Mark Jones is running for the Wyoming House in District 40 in Johnson and Sheridan Counties. He's a solid conservative with a record of fighting government overreach nationally and in Wyoming. Also I clear up a misunderstanding in the HD40 race.
Wyoming Speaker of the House Albert Sommers and other Wyoming legislators are part of an organization with direct ties to the Chinese Communist Party, Hunter Biden and Joe Biden. If that's not enough, Albert Sommers is on their board of directors.
Mark Gordon sent out a statewide text over the weekend announcing his website "FactCheckWyoming." The truth is, we really should be fact checking the governor. His PAC has a whole bunch of out of state funders. Also, I had a great interview with HD 34 Representative Pepper Ottman.
I'm finally back from our Honeymoon!! Candidates have been declining invitations to attend debates and forums. There are several reasons a candidate might not want to but I think it's a bad look.
Rep Scott Smith in Goshen County has an opponent in Jackie Van Mark. He may as well be running against Liz Cheney since Van Mark thinks Cheney would beat Donald Trump. We had a great discussion about the race and his work in Cheyenne.
Laura McKee is running for the Wyoming House in District 39. That seat is held by Cody Wylie. He is one of the newer Redcoats that votes with the Democrats over 82% of the time.
It's my wedding day!! I just wanted to visit with you for a few minutes about that and tell you about a VERY Special Announcement (as if my wedding wasn't enough)!
Bryce Reece is running for the Wyoming Senate in District 28 in Natrona County. That seat is currently held by longtime Redcoat Jim Anderson. He and his wife are small business owners in Casper and have decided to get into politics.
I'm finally back from my surgery...well sort of. I had to get behind the microphone to talk to you this morning. A nutjob tried to assassinate President Trump, the media has been fanning the flames for 8 years and now there are calls for unity.
Mike Schmid has written pay checks for 40 years--something most Wyoming legislators know nothing about. He's running for the Wyoming House in District 20.
Tom Kelly is running for the Wyoming House in District 30. That's the seat formerly held by Rep Mark Jennings. His opponent in that race is founder of the frontier republicans, Gail Symons.
Tina Clifford is a former school teacher and is running for the Wyoming House in District 54. That seat is currently held by Lloyd Larsen. We had a fairly in-depth discussion about the problems in Wyoming education. She has some common sense solutions that may surprise some.
Wyoming has been littered with green door hangers recently. All of them look the same and all of them mention someone named Amy Womack. To give you a hint, Amy Womack was the Political Director for Liz Cheney for Wyoming. And even though their material claims that AFP is conservative, the truth is very VERY Different.
When's the last time you read the Declaration of Independence? We make fun of Joe Biden for forgetting it. But are we any better? If you pay attention to the "news," we are living in a country that bares little resemblance to the one our Founders envisioned.
The US Supreme Court has ruled that presidents do have absolute immunity for official acts. This is absolutely how they should have ruled and it has big implications for this election. Also, I get to announce our new sponsor!
Rep Jeanette Ward in House District 57 has an opponent in her first re-election campaign. Julie Jarvis, an Americans for Prosperity endorsed candidate, is vying for the seat.
Ann Lucas is running the Wyoming House of Representatives in House District 43. That seat is currently held by Rep Dan Zwonitzer. We had a wide ranging discussion about schools, taxes, guns and lots more.
Rep Clarence Styvar is running for re-election in House District 12. He has an opponent this year in Thomas Lear--the guy who was a Democrat a few months ago. I have been after him to do an interview for a long time, so I was excited that I got to visit with him. We had a great, wide ranging discussion.
Dr Eric Cubin was thrown off the Wyoming Board of Medicine by Governor Mark Gordon for supporting SF99, Chloe's Law. Gordon allowed Cubin's predecessor to testify repeatedly about abortion. Cubin and I discuss what happened and how misguided the Governor's actions really are.
Dr. Eric Cubin was summarily thrown off the Wyoming Board of Medicine by Governor Gordon for his stance on trans-gender surgeries. Dr. Cubin joins me on Weekend Update for a wide-ranging, exclusive interview about what Gordon did and why the governor's wrong.
Representatives Jeanette Ward and Ken Pendergraft join me on the program to discuss their respective races. It's a wide ranging discussion of taxes and what they are hearing on the campaign trail. Also, I take a look at the HD40 race in Johnson and Sheridan Counties.
Exie Brown is running against one of the original Redcoats--Landon Brown. He's an Air Force Veteran with strong conservative principles. We had a great discussion.
Lars Lone is a former member of the Wyoming House. He's decided to take a break from politics and to take up farming. He's built a hydroponic farm in Cheyenne that grows mushrooms and greens. Also, some previously unreleased audio from Rep Ken Clouston. It sheds some light on why he votes with the liberals in the House of Representatives.
The US Supreme Court has struck down the ban on bump-stocks but also dealt a blow to the ATF's rule making. What we all know, just because you call it a machine gun, doesn't make it a machine gun. Also today I announced a new sponsor to the program: The Wyoming Cartridge Company.
Lee Filer was Democrat in the Wyoming House from 2013-2014. Now he's running as a Republican in HD44. Our discussion ran the gamut from abortion to taxes and universal pre-k to the Republican Party Platform. It's an interesting interview, make sure you listen all the way to the end.
Boom! Episode 700! Darin McCann is running for the Wyoming House in District 48. He's a former Green Beret who's now a physician's assistant in Sweetwater County. We had a great wide-ranging discussion.
We now know who is running in the Republican Primary and there are more than a few candidates whose past comments are coming back to haunt them. Campaign updates from all along the I-25 Corridor.
Kathy Russell is running against the Chair of House Appropriations, Bob Nicholas. She has been the Executive Director of the Wyoming Republican Party for several years. Her lineage dates back to before the American Revolution. She has some very strong feelings about why she's running for office. It's a great interview!
Tami Young is running for the Wyoming House in District 27 against Martha Lawley. Also an update from the Saturday episode concerning Sheridan County Commissioner Tom Ringley. There's some big questions as to why he wants the current coroner to hire a pathologist with a record so mired by wrongful convictions.
Sheridan County Commissioner Tom Ringley has been hostile to the Coronor's efforts to secure autopsy services for Sheridan County for almost two years. Audio obtained by Cowboy State Politics clearly shows it. Why? Because his guy didn't win an election.
Its one day after a verdict that changed our political system. Peter Vodenka, who escaped communist Czechoslovakia in the 1980's joins me to discuss similarities he sees now to what he experienced there.
Reuben Tarver is running for re-election in House District 52 in Campbell County. This is his first time on the program. Joey and I caught up with him last week.
Memorial Day 2024! It's important to remember why we are all off work today. Today is meant to remember the men and women who bravely fought and died for our Country. This is a flashback to two episodes aired in 2021.
Thomas Lear, candidate for Wyoming House District 12 agreed to come on the program and then declined. Why? Because he just recently joined the Republican Party...very recently. Documents, FOIA requests and some digging show that there are many reasons.
An Exclusive interview with Attorney and founder of the Center for American Liberty, Harmeet Dhillon. Ms Dhillon is principally responsible for keeping Donald Trump on the Colorado ballot. She is also the first person to sue a social media company and she ran against Ronna McDaniel for the RNC Chair.
Rep Rachel Rodriguez-Williams is running for re-election in House District 50. She is the author of both the "Trigger Bill," and the "Life is a Human Right Act." This year she has a challenger in the primary. This episode was published late due to some criminal activity at CSP Headquarters.
Election season has officially started and we have all the statewide voter registration and voting histories. So far, it's led to some interesting revelations. Also, I finally got all the documents concerning Harriet's cease and desist letter.
Mark Jennings announces his run for Wyoming Senate District 22 against Barry Crago. Tom Kelly announces his candidacy for House District 30 in Sheridan County.
WyoRINO has released their 2024 legislative rankings. The Results are what we should have all expected--there are no moderates in the Wyoming Legislature. Doug Gerard chimes in on the whole anonymous ratings sites discussion and Governor Mark Gordon finally decides to join the lawsuit against Biden's Title IX changes.
One of the seats that's been vacated is HD11 in Laramie County. Jacob Wasserberger, a precinctman in Cheyenne has thrown his name into that race. He started Young Americans for Liberty at Sheridan College and now he is running for the state House. We had a great discussion.
Happy Mother's Day tomorrow!! Joel Guggenmos is running for the Wyoming House of Representatives in House District 55. That seat is currently held by Ember Oakley. We visited about education, spending and the taxes that Oakley didn't work to lower.
Why did Rep Dan Zwonitzer and other Wyoming Legislators travel to Azerbaijan on a trip paid for by an oil company in 2014? Hint, it's partially why a Democrat Congressman is being indicted right now. RFK Junior says he for abortion up to full term, and much much more.
The Sheridan County Commissioners met for the first time since Christi Haswell's DUI arrest. Only one member of the public spoke up. After the meeting I had some questions for her. As you might expect she wasn't feeling to chatty. A few Sundays ago, Peter Vodenka gave a presentation to the Cowboy Church of the Bighorns about his escape from communist Czechoslovakia in the 1980's.
Rep Harriet Hageman has made it clear who she is endorsing and who she is not. Late last week our representative gave the nod to Senator John Barrasso. She also made it clear that she is not endorsing the Rasner campaign. This comes after she sent a cease and desist letter to Rasner.
The Laramie County School District in conjunction with the Gender Sexuality Alliance (Formerly the Gay/Straight Alliance) advertised a sexuality survey in the Cheyenne South High School. The survey is clearly violates the new parental rights law passed by the Wyoming Legislature. The Cheyenne substitute teacher who brought this to light joins me on the program.
Let's try this again!! George Dunlap is running for the Wyoming House in District 32. That seat in Campbell County is currently held by Ken Clouston.
George Dunlap is running for the Wyoming House of Representatives in House District 32. That seat is currently held by Ken Clouston. George has some very clear reasons why he decided to challenge Clouston and about what it means to be a Republican. Maybe Ken should take notes.
Steve Johnson is running for the Wyoming House in district 8. That seat is currently held by Dave Zwonitzer. We sat down during the Wyoming GOP Convention.
The Teton County GOP recently held a town hall which was co-sponsored with a Marxist organization. The group, Shelter Jackson Hole purports to advocate for affordable housing when really their purpose is a lot more.
Governor Mark Gordon was censured by the Wyoming Republican Party over the weekend. Of course, the Cow Pie didn't get anything right about it, and they broadcast it on their video news update. Also, a witness to the Christie Antoinette Haswell DUI has come forward. The witness agreed to speak to me on the program.
The Governor has vetoed just about everything that has come his way: bills with veto-proof majorities and voter registration regulations that the Secretary of State has issued. Wyoming Secretary of State Chuck Gray joins me to discuss Governor Gordon's incomprehensible actions.
The Wyoming Caucus was in Jackson yesterday and told some whoppers about their group and their voting records. They made the laughable claim that they pretty much agree with the Wyoming Freedom Caucus.
The Redcoats are attending a town hall in Jackson today. Interestingly enough, Wyovote.com released their 2024 legislative rankings today. The results tell us what we already know--they're Democrats that can't spell. The results also contradict the narrative that the media has been trying to craft for the conservatives in the legislature.
This week, Sheridan County Commissioner Christie Haswell was arrested for DWUI and Hit and Run. Considering her previous comments on what it takes to be one of the commishes, this hardly seems to fit.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live from April 11, 2024. Congratulations! You are once again funding drag queen; this time through the Wyoming Department of Health. Rep John Bear joins me to talk about it.
There's dimwits talking about climate change, there's dimwits with wolves and then there's the dimwits talking about wolves. This episode is full of them.
I'm off for today but Joey and I did record a Morning Show for today. Former Redcoat Senator Ray Peterson has an op-ed out. Ogden Driskil now thinks he is part of the SLIB Board.
Cowboy State Politics has officially moved to Sheridan! To commemorate the occasion, we investigated Sheridan's newly constructed $1.3 million morgue and the big mistake they made in building it. Harry Pollak joins me to discuss.
Joey and I spent an hour and a half going through most of the ratings websites. We discussed what the data tells you and some of the people behind them. Also, Americans for Prosperity--who are they really? Are they conservative? We talk about it all!
Rep Bill Henderson hasn't had an opponent since 2016. Now one of the most liberal Redcoats in the House of Representatives does. His name is Gary Brown. He has spent almost as much time watching the legislature as I have. Tuesday we had a great discussion.
Management Council is meeting today to discuss interim topics. Fresh off of their victory in defeating the special session, the redcoats have a proposal.
It's Easter weekend and it wouldn't be complete without a back-handed anti-Christian article from the Pravda. 2,000 years ago, it was the Romans, today it's the Marxists. They both have the same message and the same motivation.
U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman held a town-hall in Buffalo, WY on March 26, 2024. This is a complete recording of that event.
Mark Jones is running to represent House District 40 in Sheridan and Johnson Counties. I sat down with him yesterday. The Wyoming Caucus has slipped and fell in the creek this week. They've issued a couple of press releases attempting to clean up what happened in the legislative session.
Governor Gordon saved the best bills for last. He vetoed the repeal of gun-free zones, the regulation of abortion and one of the better property tax bills. Now, conservatives are calling for a special session to address those vetoes. Albert and Oggy issue a statement about having a special session.
Boom! 250,000 dowloads of Cowboy State Politics. A little trip down memory lane. I've received the results from another FOIA request--they're great! The Lovely Christine joins me to talk about the 250K.
Cyrus Western is out of the race for the state legislature! Happy Days! The Sheridan City Council just gave a whopping half-million dollars to a bunch of "non-profits." Too bad the Wyoming Constitution clearly says they can't.
Does it matter if you aren't from Wyoming? Some politicians aren't either say that it does. Joey Correnti and the lovely Christine join me on the program to talk about it.
The Wyoming Caucus claims that if you aren't from Wyoming you shouldn't run for office. Too bad a bunch of them aren't from here either. It seems that that the Wyoming media can't figure out how big the budget is; I have the documents with the real numbers. Several articles have been written about HD 51 candidate Laurie Bratten. I sat down with her to clear them up.
1 Day until I return for Weekend Update. Ken, Joey and I were back in the studio Thursday to record the first episode of Crosstalk Live in a while.
Later this week: the media is saying the Wyoming Legislature spent $10.6 Billion. But that's not exactly accurate. And House District 51 Candidate Laurie Bratten responds to an article in the Wyoming Caucus paid for Cow Pie about her candidacy.
The only thing we heard in the 2024 Budget Session is that we have to "respect the process." That process has been used to abuse the rights of Wyoming Citizens, exclude us and hide what our elected officials are actually doing. Also, Governor Gordon wears a Dr Evil tie and jokes about spending a billion of your dollars.
Rep Harriet Hageman joins me to talk about Joe Biden's State of the Union Address. She also discusses a recent meeting with Jordan Peterson.
Sen Troy McKeown from Gillette joins me to discuss the budget and what happened with the Budget Joint Conference Committee. Also, Rep Martha Lawley ironically and self-reflectingly calls ME a liar in an email to a constituent. Here's my response.
What politicians say and what they do are two different things. Redcoats constantly do this with the 2nd Amendment. When it's election time they love the 2nd Amendment but when it comes time to vote it's a different Story.
Wyoming Republican Party National Committeeman Corey Steinmetz joins me to discuss what is happening at the RNC--Ronna McDaniel's replacement and what we need to do in Wyoming.
Albert Sommers and Ogden Driskill are to blame for whatever dysfunction is happening in Cheyenne. They set it up that way from the very beginning. There's another gun bill still alive. It's SF109, the Prohibit Red Flag Gun Seizure Act. Perplexingly, it's sponsor doesn't want it to mirror Wyoming's SAPA law.
Sheridan Rep Ken Pendergraft joins me to talk about some of the tax bills in the legislature. He's also interested in an education savings account bill that passed the House.
House Appropriations tries to hide budgetary information from Representatives in the House. HD 30 Rep Mark Jennings joins me on the program to talk HB203, HB45, his votes on both and the death of Sheridan Police Officer Krinkee.
The Wyoming Caucus PAC Chairman, JoAnne True attempted to use the police to intimidate a journalist. A member of the Wyoming Caucus is caught plagiarizing a speech from a former Democrat President on the Wyoming House floor. They're finally acting like true Democrats.
If you think the Wyoming Caucus is interested in giving you a tax break, you really need to think again. Rep Mark Jennings ran an amendment to give you a break of $80 and they wouldn't even do that. They're Redcoats. Don't ever forget that!
Dr. Naomi Wolf was visiting Cheyenne to discuss her election integrity bill with Wyoming Legislators. We sat down to talk about the reasons for her bill and to talk about her new company dailyclout.io
On Weekend Update Dr. Namoi Wolf joins me to talk about her election integrity bill she's asking state legislatures to pass.
The Wyoming Caucus and their paid political operatives have been breaking Wyoming Law. They have allowed a lobbyist, PAC Official and paid political consultant to set up shop in the Speaker Pro-Tempore's office--a clear violation of Wyoming law. It's called, "Misuse of Office."
Rep Bob Nicholas may not live in the district he was elected to represent. An article from Wyoming Truth, an interview with his wife, says that he lives in Lander--272 miles away from his district.
Wyoming GOP Chairman Frank Eathorne and Joey Correnti join me to talk about the session and the recent GOP State Central Committee meeting in Lovell.
Once again, Bob Nicholas is trying to use the budget to take away the Secretary of State's power. The appropriations committee tries this gag with every other elected official, why not Chuck Gray? Fortunately, the conservatives caught exactly what they are doing!
The Senate Ag Committee held an oversight hearing on the "effects" of CO2. This is an AMAZING presentation!
Happy Valentines Day! There are lots of things that happen on the House floor that you don't ever see. To some of them it's funny when they can hide their votes. HB22 was a tax on streaming services. It was killed by conservatives. But, it's what happened after everyone had voted that you need to pay attention to. It's funny to them. So much for transparency.
Prudent and fiscally conservative is the last thing the Governor's budget is. Accurate is the last thing the Cow Pie's article about it is. The Department of Revenue has responded to reports of the DOR training lobbyists. It's as laughable as the article about it.
Rep David Northrup claims that he's a "Reagan Era Republican." He claims that HB19 is a fantastic piece of legislation while calling Rep Jennings a hypocrite. If he's looking for hypocrisy, he need only look in the mirror.
It wouldn't be a legislative session without Nancy Case trying medicaid expansion one more time. He has failed so many times in the past, why not give it another go? The Cow Pie has an article about it that is littered with inaccuracies.
There's a big difference between advertising and a partnership. One media outlet in Wyoming is partnering with a very interesting group.
The 600th episode of Cowboy State Politics!! Everyone in the media claims that there is no voter fraud in Wyoming. The Red Star's Saturday paper claims there have only been 3 cases in the recent past. Really, we just don't prosecute it.
Breaking: Cowboy State Politics has obtained documents proving that the Wyoming Department of Revenue is already spending your money to train county assessors on House Bill 45--a bill that hasn't even been heard for a vote yet. The best part is, the training was given to a lobbying organization.
It's not just the federal government that has it in for you. Tonight, I'm going to tell you about a Wyoming government agency that is spending your money on something that hasn't even been introduced in the legislature yet.
The Wyoming Freedom Caucus held an event in Sheridan over the weekend. Rep Jeremy Haroldson delivered a fantastic keynote address. Also, AOC and Rep Crago have two new op-eds. They really aren't worth your time.

Yesterday, the Sheridan County Commissioners were served with a lawsuit over their refusal to choose a candidate to fill a vacancy on their board. The suit clearly lays out how it was a coordinated effort to flaunt Wyoming Statute.
The Redcoats have a number of so-called tax reduction bills. The big ones they are touting have some major problems--some of them are really misleading. Campbell County Rep John Bear joins me to discuss them.
AOC, Albert and Ogden, "Conservatives," penned another piece in the Cow Pie. As usual, it's completely misleading. Robert Jarosh is selected to join the Wyoming Supreme Court.
The Republican Women of Sheridan County hosted a Convention of States Debate Tuesday Jan 9. Sen. Bo Biteman and Dana Prater from COSAction defended the idea. Leah Southwell from the John Birch Society and I explained why it's a terrible idea.
There's a ballot initiative to reduce your property taxes by 50%. Some legislators are claiming that this would shutter county governments. In reality, that 50% reduction in your taxes only amounts to a 10% reduction in their budgets.
Wyoming will be one of the central targets of Natural Asset Companies. Yellowstone, Grand Teton, the Bighorns and our high plains desert will all be subject to the control of private companies or foreign governments if the new SEC rule goes through. Sounds crazy but as U.S. Rep Harriet Hageman explains it could be a terrifying reality.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live Jan 11, 2024. Live Interview with U.S. Rep Harriet Hageman about the SEC's new massive land grab that almost went unnoticed. VERY IMPORTANT EPISODE
There's a lot more to Couy Griffin's story. Most of it is completely ignored by the media--edited video clips, and lots of things taken out of context. When it's all put together it paints a different picture than even just hearing him tell it.
Couy Griffin, who was convicted of trespassing on Jan 6, 2021 in Washington D.C. spoke at a fundraiser for the Campbell County Republican Party. Here are his comments, complete and unedited...
Political contributions have to be reported by Dec 31st in Wyoming. They say that politics makes strange bed-fellows. And there's no stranger relationships than those the Wyoming Caucus has with their contributors. The lady suing the state over our abortion ban is just one.
Our country has already hit a gigantic milestone in 2024--more debt that ever before. The Campbell County Republican Party is hosting Couy Griffin and convicted Jan 6 protester at their next fundraiser.
In a New Years Day newsbite I tell you who the guy in Laramie is trying to keep Trump off the ballot in Wyoming.

Several counties in Wyoming have decided to do away with public comment--one even passed a resolution about it. Evidently, none of them have read the Constitution.
Everyone's home is greener than usual. But, there's one house in Wyoming that's the greenest of all of them--the Governor's Mansion.
During a 60 minutes interview, the host claimed that Gordon and Wyoming are both "red and green." The only thing that is red about the governor is the ink his policies will leave behind.
About a year and a half ago I told you about a pink pro-life sign between Douglas and Casper. God works in mysterious ways..
It's hard to tell what is journalism and what is straight-up propaganda. This week there's been several articles published that bare all the hallmarks of propaganda; and all of them concern the Democrats errrr the Wyoming Caucus.
Campaign season always seems to intrude on Christmas. And it has already started. If you are going to run for the US Senate, you have to start early. Reid Rasner joins me on the program to discuss the state of his campaign and his views on what's happening around the world.
Christmas tree prices are up in the Cowboy State. Some retailers are selling them in upwards of $200 per tree. But I do have a solution.
The Season 3 Finale of Cowboy State Politics. The Redcoats are still claiming they are conservative, but it's provable that they most definitely aren't even as good as Liz Cheney. Institute for Legislative Analysis CEO Ryan McGowan joins me to discuss their recent Wyoming ratings. Shocker, they show the same thing as the rest.
The Property Tax bait and switch is on. While legislators are writing op-eds proclaiming how hard they are working, there is a behind the scenes bill to do exactly what I told you was going to happen.
Some "Republicans" simply can't resist following the talking points of the Democrats. But they always call themselves Republicans.
There's been a lot of pearl-clutching and hair pulling about anonymous political advertisements lately. All of the criticism asks you to reject them because they are anonymous and not because they aren't factual. This is asking you to choose ignorance.
There's a dumb rumor going around that anonymous political writings have no place in politics. Those spouting this theory have forgotten a few political chart-toppers.
Happy Thanksgiving. As I do every year, I tell the real tale of Thanksgiving. Mark Gordon has decided that he doesn't want to debate after all. He picked up the gauntlet and then put it back down again.
There's a new legislative ratings website. Curiously it shows the exact opposite results as ALL of the others. It couldn't be that it's just another attempt by the Redcoats to mislead you, could it? It is and it's the same players doing it.
The Red Star thinks that we should pay lawyers too; because, of course, you don't already have a right to an attorney. The Revenue Committee killed the real fix to our property tax debacle. And, Master Chief Jim Sturdevant joins me for a discussion on Veterans day.
Senator Cheri Steinmetz and a number of conservative legislators have challenged Governor Gordon to a debate. The point of which would be to debate the validity of all of his claims. The Senator joined me to discuss it.
The Judiciary Committee finished up their interim work by trying to subsidize lawyers. Unbeknownst to all of us, there's a shortage of them; and now we have to have a bill to fix it.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live November 9, 2023. Recap of the debate...such that it was. Mark Jones of Gun Owners of America joins me to talk about current gun control efforts.

Johnson County Republican Party Chairman Mike Madden hasn't held a meeting in 240 days--since the day he was elected. Yet, he attended the WY GOP State Central Committee Meeting in Newcastle this past weekend. He even spoke about property taxes. How could he possibly represent Johnson County Republicans if he hasn't spoken to them?
Rep Daniel Singh joins me on the program to discuss his support of pot and the Convention of States. We also discussed work he is doing in the blockchain committee on so-called AI. Also, Rep Hageman voted against a censure that has many people irritated with her. It was the right vote.
Rep Daniel Singh joins me to talk about his work on the blockchain committee and his support for pot and Convention of States. Also, some people are a little irritated with Rep Hageman for her vote not to censure Rashida Tlaib. She was right.

In this Halloween installment, The legislature is discussing a fuel tax on Thursday. And, as tradition on the program, one of my favorite spooky tales.
Albert Sommers has discovered podcasts. According to him, he values civility--so much so that incivility harms the institution. If that's true why does he publish articles that are the opposite of it? Mark Gordon gave a talk at Harvard. Apparently, all of us have agreed to be carbon negative--whatever that means.
Speaker Albert Sommers has discovered podcasts. He had some very interesting things to say about being civil--too bad he doesn't know anything about that. And, Governor Gordon went to Harvard to talk about his climate change agenda. He says, we're all on board with it.
All public boards are having to go through mandatory training for an entire day. All of it is being put on by the Department of Audit. But they aren't the ones to inflicted this upon us. The legislature did--all of them.

Rep Harriet Hageman's comments during the Sheridan County Republican Party's Reagan Day Dinner 10/14/2023
Animal rights activists have 3 main arguments against hunting--none of them really make any sense. All of them are emotion based and bare no resemblance to the truth.
We have all been watching the horror unfold after the attack on Israel. I caught up with U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman to get her thoughts on it.
Things in DC are kind of a mess. We don't have a Speaker of the House and, in general, they can't get anything done. Then there's the deadly attack on Israel. On Wednesday, we'll talk with U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman to try and make sense of it all.
Israel has rightly declared war on Hamas. Thousands of rockets were fired into the tiny country over the weekend and Israel has responded. It's Columbus Day and, as if on cue, the historical revisionists are our in full force.
Every notice that the media always has the same message for you regardless of the channel or paper. That's because they're all in it together. All of them get the memo. That's the reason we are doing what we are doing.
Kevin McCarthy made a major miscalculation in making a deal with the Democrats. He thought that he wouldn't be held accountable. But, removing him may have been a bit short sighted.
There was a county elected officials conference held in Casper last week. Guests to the event were Albert Sommers and Ogden Driskill. As is usually the case, when Redcoats get comfortable, they tell you the truth. That's exactly what Albert did.
Michael Schwartz is the author of Fauci's Fiction. He was one of the first people to start testing for COVID during the pandemic. He has the data to prove that much of what we were told during the pandemic wasn't true. It's a great discussion.
Anthony Fauci's nose never seems to stop growing and author Michael Schwartz can prove it. On Saturday's installment of Weekend Update he'll tell us how the media, the government and Fauci lied to us repeatedly and still is. We all knew that, now we can prove it.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live for September 28, 2023. Reps Ken Pendergraft, Chip Neiman join the program to discuss the BLM and how the legislators listen to agencies before the people.
The BLM is proposing to sequester over 3 million acres away from public use. The reason they are doing this has nothing to do with conservation and it's not a new plan. It goes back to before Obama was President--the BLM EIS statement says so. Executive order 13990 is the culprit.
Cities and Counties in Wyoming give a tremendous amount of money to "non-profits." The financials of these "non-profits" reveal a very different picture. Holly Jennings' first vote on the Sheridan County Commission was on one of these. Two of the people that said she wasn't qualified went on the radio to "defend" their decision.
Peter Vodenka escaped communist Czechoslovakia in the 1980's. He tells about his journey to freedom in the United States in his book Journey For Freedom. In the third installment of this series, Peter and I talk about how he escaped from communism.
Cowboy State Politics Live for September 21, 2023. A retraction printed by the Wyoming media! The announcement for the Independence Network and much much more!
The press in Wyoming is supposed to be transparent. But in Wyoming, they're the furthest thing from it. Stevenson Newspapers' Joshua Wood was fired from the Carbon County Library for producing porn in the Library. Now he helps lead one of Wyoming's most visible organizations. Also, I had a chance to visit with Congresswoman Harriet Hageman. She's got a new bill about energy poverty. We discuss that and her thoughts on everything Biden.
Turns out, porn being IN a library isn't as bad as porn that's MADE in a library. Also, I had a great visit with U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman. She's filed a new bill about energy poverty and she has a lot to say about the Bidens.
The Media is misleading you. The recent article about the WyoRINO event is a perfect example. They even go so far as selectively editing quotations to change their meaning. That's not all. A large percentage of Redcoat campaign funding comes from sources inside the Wyoming Media.
Thursday, a bunch of Redcoats got together in Casper to challenge WyoRINO to a debate. Of course, they knew their opponent wouldn't show up. They then opined on how Republican they are. Trouble is, all of them have said and done exactly the opposite in the past.
District Judge Darcy Phillips selected Holly Jennings to fill the vacancy on the Sheridan County Commission. Holly came into the studio to give me a reaction to her appointment.

When a redcoat says the word 'conservative,' you know they are about to pull a fast one. That is what has been happening with that $1.5 billion in savings. Now, WYDOT says they don't have enough money. Maybe they do, maybe they don't but the redcoats could have solved the road problem easily.
This week on Cowboy State Politics, shocking audio from the Transportation Committee--their tax increase isn't a tax increase! On Saturday, my interview with BlazeTV Host Chad Prather. When he's around, it's the world according to Chad!
Labor day really isn't about the benevolent government giving you the day off of work. It's a gift to labor unions and it was started by a group of Marxists with the goal of overthrowing the United States. Yes, really.
The events of this week have all been a set-up by the Sheridan County Commissioners. It's clear. And now a judge is going to decide who gets to fill a vacant seat. Playing clean-up is the Wyoming media. In this episode I show you how they're doing it.

This is a great show!!
The Sheridan County Commissioners refused to pick a replacement for Allen Thompson. Really, they refused to follow the law. Their reason for doing so? You aren't qualified to pick your own representatives.
There's a hit piece out of New York that attacks Wyoming journalism--such that it is. Cowboy State Daily Columnist Rod Miller joins me to discuss it.

Wyoming House Majority Floor Leader Chip Neiman joins me to discuss the abortion lawsuit and to respond to claims the Freedom Caucus is to blame for nothing getting done on property taxes.

Rep Landon Brown has an interesting view of the school's role in your child's education. He says they are the parent! Wyofile gave Frontier Republican Founder Gail Symons a puff piece.

Political prosecutions don't just happen to the likes of Donald Trump. They happen in Wyoming too. Except here, guns are the target. Both Nina Webber and Joey Correnti fell victim to politically motivated prosecutors. In this episode they both explain what happened to them.
Politically motivated prosecutions also happen in Wyoming. On Wednesday, I'll bring you the story of two of them..

There are still places in Wyoming where your phone won't work. It's important that you find them. Here's why.
The Wyoming Freedom Caucus wants the Governor to cut ties to the American Library Association. There's a good reason for it--the ALA really is a radical political organization. And a member of the ALA's leadership has her roots right here in the Cowboy State. And Governor Gordon NOW says we need to be cautious about spending...after he demanded a supplemental budget.

UW finished their report on free speech. It turns out they really aren't interested in it at all. They are setting up the thought police. The Fremont County Library board isn't all that interested in free speech either. They disregarded board candidates merely on their own political biases.
Preview of Wednesday's Cowboy State Politics. UW really doesn't care about free speech, they're setting up the thought police!

Crash dummies now need gender equity. I'm not kidding. The Sheridan County Republican Party held a Patriot Chat on Thursday. At the end there were some fireworks about the Wyoming Caucus.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live. Guest: Rep Jeanette Ward. ESG, Frank Eathorne (kind of) has an opponent. Joe MacGuire wants a debate and more!
University of Wyoming Professor George Mocsary is one of the foremost experts on the Second Amendment. Cutting through all of the political noise surrounding guns, we discussed what the true purpose of the Second Amendment is. He reviews some of the recent court cases and explains what they mean to you.
The Cow Pie earns their name one more time. They claim that all of the legislative ranking websites are from a "staunchly conservative viewpoint." It's not true and if they stopped cheer leading for once, they'd realize it.
Rep Karlee Provenza sent a letter to all of her colleagues in the Wyoming House. Everyone in the media called it an "apology." It couldn't be farther from one. But it is one that we should expect from someone with a Ph.D. in Experimental Psychology.
Our legislators are claiming to have come up with a novel idea for fixing property taxes. But it is neither their idea nor is it novel. It comes from something ominous called Tax Reform 2000. It's goal is a statewide income tax.
Management Council is a committee of the legislature that directs a lot of what transpires in the legislature. They decide what topics get discussed during the interim, who gets investigated and who gets subpoenaed. You can only guess what they decided to study during this interim.
School officials at Worland High School have decided not to teach the American revolution. A teacher at the school wrote a letter telling parents about it.
Think CRT in Wyoming isn't happening? Saturday, I'll take you to Worland, Wyoming where the American Revolution is being removed from the social studies curriculum.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live from April 6. Karlee Provenza, GOP Meeting in Jackson, Who Robert F Kennedy Junior actually is. The world De-Dollarization
Provenza's tweet shouldn't have surprised anyone. She has a long history of posting inflammatory calls to the radical left. My thoughts on President Trump's "indictment." Shocker, WyoRino's legislative rankings show the same thing as the other two.
There are only a few reasons why 31 Republicans would vote with the Democrats most of the time. One of them could be simple corruption. Listen for yourself and decide.
Deep withing the budget there could be some massive funding for a remote and dilapidated town in the Big Horn Basin, but why?
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live from March 30. Only this program has the WyoVote Legislative Rankings ahead of their public release.
Rep Cyrus Western and Bill Novotny have been referred to the Wyoming Attorney General for investigation and possible prosecution. My interview with the man who claims he can prove widespread election fraud in every state in America. There are questions about our elections, but can they be proven?
On Wedneday's installment of the program, I'll interview Dr. Douglas Frank. He claims there's widespread fraud in Wyoming elections. There was no head nodding in this interview--he got asked some serious questions.
Sen Hicks proposed to spend $3 million to help Texas with our southern border but he was focusing on the wrong one. The Red Star thinks cash bail is harmful to defendants.
Wyoming is once again trying to convince the feds to de-list the grizzly bear from the Endangered Species Act. There was a hearing in the Natural Resources committee about legislation that would do that. What unfolded can only be described as buffoonery.
Rep Cyrus Western claims his "conservative" record speaks for itself. He keeps using that word... But, he's right! It does speak for itself. Ron Miskin of the Buffalo Wool Company joins me to talk about agriculture and his company. Contest!! If you want to win some socks, listen to this program to find out how!
Rep Cyrus Western was censured by the Sheridan County GOP during its quarterly meeting Saturday.
House leadership seems to be in favor of gender ideology, diversity, equity and inclusion and not parental rights. They didn't do anything of consequence regarding education. So, it's up to parents. Before the session ended I sat down with the ladies that run Parents Defending Education.
Cowboy State Politics Live March 16, 2023. Executive orders on guns; Uinta County's 'traditional' Republicans and more.
Rep Hageman held a town hall in Buffalo on March 14. She covered a wide range of topics--everything from the federal debt, Fauci, AI, her vote for Kevin McCarthy and her thoughts on the 2023 Legislative Session. It was interesting who WAS NOT in attendance. It was a fantastic discussion.
The Red Star published an op-ed claiming we aren't aren't a Christian nation. We certainly started out that way but are we still one? It claims that the Freedom Caucus is to blame for all of our state's problems.
What all of your legislators are calling property tax reform couldn't be farther from it. Really it's a bait and switch to get you to vote for them...again.
Rep Harriet Hageman responds to what happened (or didn't) in this year's legislative session. She responds to criticism from state lawmakers and weighs in on the impact of passed legislation. She also discusses some of her priorities in the U.S. House.
Our representatives are home and they have all kinds of stories to tell us. None of them are really true of course, but at least there's lots for them to talk about. There really is no tax reform and they killed just about every bill that we cared about.
Gold was one bill debated this past week. The discussion exposes how clueless House leadership is. In Governor Gordon's closing remarks he once again said we are relying on the federal government--the last thing we should be doing.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live from March 2. Cyrus Western. How completely biased the Wyoming media is and how they try to drive policy.
The WY House killed the Convention of States Resolution 21-41--a clear message. Some great speeches from the floor. Landon Brown makes some ill advised tweets. And there's a whole bunch of stuff that Youtube doesn't show you about the Wyoming Legislature.
Albert Sommers is holding several bills in his drawer. One of them is SF117 which would ban teaching gender and sexuality to kindergartners through 3rd grade. He claims that none of that is happening in Wyoming. Gender ideology is being taught in Wyoming Schools. Here's the proof.
I'm stuck in Casper with Representative Mark Jennings. With limited sound equipment to work with, we still managed to put together an interview about this year's session.
The Senate Ag Committee passed the Life is a Human Right Act 5-0. As promised, my testimony in House Revenue against the Convention of States and Rod is out with another one of his crazy columns.
House committees have taken to using "substitute bills" to accomplish what they want to do. So far they have used the measure on 4 pieces of legislation without consulting the bill's sponsor or even mentioning it to them. Senators Bo Biteman, Lynn Hutchings and Rep Jeremy Haroldson have been their latest victims.
Legislative rankings are in at the 3/4 mark for the 2023 session. It's even more obvious that there are no moderates. The Red Star wants to talk about hypocrisy, maybe they should look in the mirror. Also an update on the Cyrus Western/Bill Novotny fiasco.
Charlie Kirk was the keynote speaker at the Teton County GOP Patriot Dinner. Rep Andrew Byron has an interesting voting record and it has nothing to do with being a Republican.
House committees were stacked with liberals to prevent conservative legislation from reaching the floor. Not a single one has a conservative chairman. The cross-over voting bill has been revived in the Senate.
Breaking: Chairman Art Washut threatens ranking member Mark Jennings with removal because of a vote. He also threw the press out of a legal committee meeting.
The corner crossing issue can't be solved by a single bill. The problem was created by the legislature a very long time ago. Senate File 56 won't do anything except create criminals out of well meaning sportsmen.
Rep Steve Harshman thinks that only the wealthy will benefit from a cap on property taxes--and he said so! The conservative media is trying to claim that the conservatives torpedoed tax reform but there's a big reason why they killed the Constitutional Amendment.
Two bills in the Wyoming House have grabbed the attention of everyone more than any other. HB00143 is a ban on health mandates from the CDC and WHO and HB00152 is another abortion ban. Both have faced stiff opposition and until today have survived without being amended.
The mid-session legislative rankings are out. They paint a very telling picture of Wyoming legislators. The data shows that there really are 37 Democrats in the House of Representatives and not 5.
HB87 would have held teachers and librarians accountable for blatant pornographic material in public schools. The Revenue Committee killed the bill but not before the ALA claimed there's no obscene material in Wyoming libraries. Sheridan College President Walter Tribley compared pornography to the Bible.
The only known recording of the Wyoming House of Representatives February 3, 2023 PM Session during the power outage.
Once again, the House voted against your medical freedom and with their campaign contributors. They killed HB66 which would have banned mask and vaccine mandates. Also, I tangled with the President of Convention of States Action in the Corporations Committee.
A group discussion between Representatives Scott Smith, Tony Locke, Mark Jennings and Ken Pendergraft about their impressions of the first three weeks of the legislature.
A Sheridan County Sheriff's Report implicates Rep Cyrus Western and Johnson County Commission Chairman Bill Novotny in illegal campaign activity. More details are coming. Jeff Wallack responds to the report.
A group in Jackson is trying to gain control of the Historic Teton County Fairgrounds to give it to a private developer. I have the documents to prove it. Also, the House voted to give themselves a raise.
Chemical abortions account for 53% of all babies killed each year. Sen Tim Salazar's bill would almost completely outlaw that practice. Also, the House debated increasing the minimum age for marriage.
The "News Source Shield Law," or HB0091 is not unlike the "Inflation Reduction Act." Neither of them do what they purport to do. HB91 directly threatens journalists and whistleblowers in defamation cases.
All bills get assigned to committees--some to be passed, others to be killed. Jeanette Ward's HB87 is now in the Revenue Committee. There's at least one member of that committee that doesn't even want to give it a hearing.
The House struck a compromise on the rules that works for both sides. A flashback to a year ago.
Today is the floor debate on the rules. The Redcoats have decided to put off the discussion of the manual and instead are opting to debate only a few rule changes. Also, curiously, the House is way behind schedule. In this episode, I provide the reason.
Today is the floor debate on the rules. The Redcoats have decided to put off the discussion of the manual and instead are opting to debate only a few rule changes. Also, curiously, the House is way behind schedule. In this episode, I provide the reason.
The pomp and circumstance is over and we have finally got down to business. One seemingly innocuous bill is HB0028. It increases the threshold under which community colleges don't have to seek approval to spend your money. Representative Chip Neiman gave me his perspective.
The Wyoming press can't seem to give you an accurate reporting of the facts. The Casper Star Tribune published an untrue report of Secretary of State Chuck Gray's speech from yesterday. Also the bills are coming in and many of them deserve your attention.
Albert Sommers and Ogden Driskill are having a hard time understanding why everyone is shocked at their proposed rule changes. They shouldn't be, they've already talked about the problems that would create. Tamara Trujillo joins me to discuss the upcoming legislative session.
In an exclusive interview, U.S. Representative Harriet Hageman joins me to explain what we all witnessed this week. Shocker, it's not what the media made it out to be. But it was a good result.
It's important to remember who we are dealing with in Cheyenne--politicians. Over a year ago, Wyoming held a special legislative session to deal with vaccine mandates from the Biden Administration. But the fix was in from the beginning.
Outgoing Wyoming Secretary of State has an interesting perspective on the office he held for around 3 months. His experience up to that point was confined to the Wyoming Republican Party. He joined me to reflect on what it's like to be on the inside of an office he was sometimes at odds with. Also, what is being done about the state of "journalism" in Wyoming.
Happy New Year's Eve! The Redcoats lost their super majority in the House. They've decided to just try to change the rules to make up for it! Documents obtained by Cowboy State Politics prove it!
The Democrats are singing the blues about their recent performance. I can't blame them, most of their members are hiding in the Republican Party. A conversation with Representative-Elect Ben Hornok of House District 42.
Most of the folks in Cheyenne claim to be conservative Republicans but a lot of them are no different that liberal Democrats. Now, they have inadvertently created two sides of the aisle in the Wyoming Legislature. One simple piece of paper tells the entire story!
The Cowboy State Politics Christmas Eve Special!! A couple of guests join me, as well as some music and a couple of Christmas stories! This is a must listen!
The Pre-Swearing-In Interview with Wyoming Representative-Elect Harriet Hageman. We covered a lot of ground: federal land grabs; the department of education; medicaid expansion and the real problem with border crisis is creating in western cities. Harriet even makes a point about medicaid expansion that you haven't heard anywhere else! It's a great discussion.
There is no logic in how Wyoming funds education. The journalists writing about it evidently didn't take that class either.
There's a new conservative in Fremont County, or at least there was. Newly discovered audio from 13 years ago sheds some light on this current legislator. The Oil City News published the old medicaid expansion poll that every Redcoat cites. John Bean joins me to discuss the problems with medicaid expansion.
Cowboy State Politics Live from December 15. More dumb statue pulling. Why calls for civility in the Wyoming Legislature only target one side of the aisle. The Cow Pie tries to cook up a controversy with Secretary of State Karl Allred. Europe's energy crisis is of their own making and it will be coming here.
There's a "new" "Constitutional theory" coming out of Harvard. It's not new and it's definitely not Constitutional. You've heard it before but probably haven't recognized it. Charlie Cole joins me to discuss the farce of 'common good constitutionalism.' Also, I respond to some of the criticism of Monday's edition of Morning Reload.
Harvard is talking about the Constitution again. They say it has nothing to do with Liberty. You've heard all this before from the Wyoming media, you just didn't recognize it.
Former President Donald Trump posted on Truth Social that we should consider terminating the Constitution. It's time I throw my two cents in.
Replay of the Pastor Jonathan Lange interview from December 8. We discussed why so many local churches are leaving larger denominations with huge leadership structures.
Park County Officials destroyed the ballots 2 days before they told everyone they were going to. This ended the Park County Republican Men's Club's effort to verify the accuracy of voting machines. If you want to know how to create a conspiracy theory, this is how to do it.
Senate President Senator Ogden Driskill is now back-tracking on his plan to make committee chairmen sign a tow-the-line or resign letter. Now, he's claiming he didn't try to enforce anyone to sign anything.
Wyoming Senate President Ogden Driskill forced committee chairmen to sign a pre-written resignation letter for use when they don't do his bidding. 10 Wyoming Senators signed it. A disgrace.
It's been 2 years of the program that Redcoats have nightmares about! A speech I delivered in Powell 1 year ago to the day that I have never played. It's amazing how little things change. I believe you'll find it enlightening.
Casper Reverand Dee Lundberg equated the Bible to books like Gender Queer during a Natrona County School Board Meeting. She joined me to clarify her comments. Also, we will get reaction to the interview from Evanston Pastor and author Jonathan Lange.
WARNING! This episode contains a book quotation that is sexually graphic and is not suitable children.
Casper Minister Dee Lundberg thinks the Bible has similar content to the book Gender Queer. We'll talk to her. Also, we'll get reaction from Wyoming writer and minister Jonathan Lange.
The Pravda thinks Affirmative Action is a good thing--that you should be judged on what color your skin is. What happened to meritocracy?
The Wyoming Tribune Eagle has a poll out, and you'll never guess what it says--we should spend more on education!!! Representative Elect Jeanette Ward joins me to discuss her legislative priorities.
Coming up on Weekend Update, the Wyoming Tribune Eagle has a new poll out. H57 Representative-Elect Jeanette Ward joins me to talk about her legislative priorities.
More medicaid expansion...for the 8th time in two years. Nancy and Redcoat Steve Harshman are at it again. Also, what is now the Thanksgiving tradition at Cowboy State Politics: The Real Story of Thanksgiving!
There were a couple of surprises when the votes were tallied at the House Republican Caucus meeting. Albert Sommers defeated Mark Jennings for Speaker of the House and Chip Neiman was elected House Majority Floor Leader. This sets up a very unusual political dynamic.
David Bossie is Trump's 2016 Deputy Campaign Manager. He has been the President of Citizens United for 17 years. He is also the producer of "Rigged" a documentary about Zuckerberg's involvement with the 2020 Presidential Election. Last Saturday I was able to visit with him.
Live Replay of the November 17 broadcast. Casper's dumb hate speech ordinance, the "Respect" for Marriage Act and what the real problem with the Laramie County GOP is. And, Aaron Nab got stuck in Buffalo and joins me on the program!! It was a great show!
The Wyoming media seems to insist that there are two political groups in the Cowboy State. There are the right-wing extremists and there are the moderates. Really, those that they call moderates aren't anything of the sort. Neither is there a huge number of right-wingers in the legislature. Also, some very welcome comments from Sen Dave Kinskey.
If you thought the election was over, there's one more vote that is going to take place. It's a clear choice between a conservative and a liberal. The Wyoming GOP State Central Committee meeting went off without a hitch, I've got some details from the event.
Rep Albert Sommers told the Cow Pie that he's a conservative and a real Republican. He's not, not even close. In this episode I explain why.
A Conservative Red Wave did hit Wyoming last night. There were conservative victories across the state. Also, reaction to last night's election from Rep Mark Jennings.
There are still some races that are undecided in the General Election. There are a bunch of Redcoats who are running as independents to try to convince you they are conservative. They aren't. Rep Mark Jennings, Ken Pendergraft and I go around the state and discuss most of the races that are still up for grabs.
The Pravda on the Platte likes to use quotation marks when talking about subjects they don't like. A City Councilman in Casper quotes the Declaration of Independence when talking about Casper's new "anti-discrimination" ordinance.
Replay of Cowboy State Politics Live from November 3, 2022. Elon Musk and Twitter; It's the economy, stupid--the housing market, inflation and what's happening to American energy.
The Red Star buried an article about how dangerous the concealed carry of firearms is. A discussion of how important Wyoming's preemption statute is--with an example why from Buffalo, Wyoming. Also, some ridiculous arguments about our SAPA law and an interview with House 53 Representative Chris Knapp.
The media in Wyoming masquerades as conservative--softballs to the Democrat, no interview offer to the Republican nominee. I sat down with Republican nominee to House District 29, my good friend Ken Pendergraft for the interview he should have been given.
With 10 days to go until the general election, I thought we should check in with our new Secretary of State Karl Allred. We had a great discussion.
With a little over a week to go until the General Election, I wanted to visit with you and explain why you should vote for me for Buffalo City Council.
The Fetterman "debate" was a 20 car train wreck. Are Wyoming schools really performing as good as everyone says? And a discussion of the results of Biden's handling of our energy industry. Also, why the Saudis really snubbed Sleepy Joe.
We have a couple of constitutional amendments on the ballot this election. One of them will have significant unforeseen consequences--all of which our founders hoped to avoid. That's the reason it isn't already in the Wyoming Constitution.
In an update to the story I have been following out of Cheyenne South High School, I have exclusive audio that clearly shows what some school officials in Wyoming Schools think about the rights of Wyoming parents. It's shocking.
There are several races in the general election that have write-in candidates and independents running. The most prominent of which is for Brent Bien for Wyoming's governor. To get a handle on it, I spoke with Cheryl Aguiar who is spearheading the effort.
Michael Williams is running for the Wyoming Senate in District 11. We did this interview back during the Primary Election. It's an interesting conversation.
A conversation with the Cheyenne South High School student who exposed the video, "Growing Up Trans," she was shown in her sociology class.
Grady Hutcherson, President of the WEA, told the Joint Education Committee that none of the crazy stuff in national news about education happens in Wyoming. It does. In this episode I expose a Wyoming teacher for doing exactly that. It's pretty shocking.
The Wyoming Education Association berated lawmakers on Monday in the Joint Education Committee. Sen Chris Rothfuss called any assertion that Wyoming students are under-performing "misinformation." The truth is that Wyoming school performance is not commensurate with school funding.
This Columbus Day, you'll probably see all sorts of references to Indigenous Peoples Day. That change has its origins in a completely misleading 1980 book entitled A People's History of the United States by a political scientist and Communist named Howard Zinn.
Lloyd Larsen is running for the Wyoming House in District 54--Fremont County. He claims to be the "real Republican" in the race. But is he? Not by a long shot!
"News" outfits are constantly writing inflammatory headlines that are untrue. After a paragraph or two they clear up the matter with the facts. That's why they earn nicknames--and, deservedly so. And, why is it that so many people in education are pushing a progressive agenda?
Any insinuation that there was anything wrong with the 2020 election is met by a tidal wave of criticism--even in Wyoming. 41 Wyoming attorneys have sent now 2 letters basically threatening Harriet Hageman. The first push back comes from an unlikely source.
A follow up from the live broadcast--more audio concerning the pipeline explosions. The Red Star tries to attack Sen Steinmetz and I give credit where credit is due.
Replay from Cowboy State Politics Live September 29. The so called Journalism Competition Protection Act, Russian Pipelines and how the gaffes coming from the White House are actually really dangerous to our country.
One of the more entertaining political past times is observing flip-flops. There have some pretty famous ones through the years. But we might have a more legendary and recent one right here in Wyoming. Also, a great interview with HD4 Rep Jeremy Haroldson.
One of the more entertaining political past times is watching flip-flops. There have been some great ones through the years. Perhaps now we have one of the more legendary ones right here in Wyoming. Also a great discussion with HD4 Rep Jeremy Haroldson.
All of us are experiencing inflation but a lot of state legislators claim that Wyoming really doesn't have too much to do with that. It's not true.
The Fremont County Commissioners don't seem to like being questioned very much. They certainly don't like being confronted about it.
My 300th Episode!!!! You may have missed a few things the last few days: Sleepy Joe's Global Minimum Tax; and an Executive Order on Trans-humanism. What the heck is that?!! What the #1 issue in the general election campaign ought to be and some super strange headlines over the week.
John Lott Jr is a researcher and prolific writer. His newest book is Gun Control Myths. On Sunday September 18th he was in Casper at a Gun Owners of America event. Its a revealing and fascinating presentation.

Some things you just shouldn't mess with--elections, conservatism, birthdays and CHEESECAKE.
Replay of the Inaugural Cowboy State Politics Live Broadcast. Want to find out what Crickets, Wyoming education, Jon Gruden, the BLM pause of oil and gas leases and the "Road to Nowhere" have in common? Truth is, not very much, but they were fun to talk about!
Brain surgeon Karine Jean Pierre doubles down on Sleepy Joe's MAGA Republican rhetoric and gets called on it. Also, Wyoming GOP officials react the the President's dumb loan forgiveness plan.
Labor Day really isn't about barbecues and fishing. It really started as a Canadian idea that was picked up by a marxist. It was fueled by a nationwide riot and ended with the Democrats negotiating with unions.
The Democrats never fail to supply ample amounts of hypocrisy. Joe Biden's Thursday night speech is no exception. In fact, he presided over objections to elections himself. But those objections weren't a clear and present danger now were they?!
We have been told so many lies over the past two years. Every single one of them seemingly extends the power of the Administration. To what end? Author Mattias Desmet argues that that end is totalitarianism. I discuss his article with author Charles Cole. This is a great discussion.
The WEA (Wyoming Teacher's Union) has filed a lawsuit against the Wyoming Legislature claiming, laughably, that we aren't giving them enough of our money. Their argument is really pointed in the wrong direction.
My interview with Project Veritas founder James O'Keefe. His response to the guilty pleas of the couple that provided Ashley Biden's diary and a discussion about Liberty. Also, the Corporations Committee is up to their old tricks. With the majority of that group not returning to the legislature, they are trying to strip the Secretary of State of his election oversight duties.
Once again we have to put up with yet another medicaid expansion bill. There are a ton of reasons this is a horrendous idea. Also, I briefly introduce you to the fight of a young Wyoming boy from Riverton with cancer and what doctors in Utah are trying to do to him and his family.
What really happened in the 2022 Wyoming Primary is not what the media is telling you. They would like to dismiss conservative victories as, simply, Liz's fault. As usual, they are insulting your intelligence.
Many of our kids are headed off to college. Several of them will probably join fraternities or sororities. Recent Pepperdine graduate and Buffalo resident, Alison Williams is taking on the challenge of moving these organizations back to their original purpose. We had a great discussion. Also some thoughts on this week's primary election.
The Wyoming Primary Election is in the bag. Some thoughts on the outcome and a quick wrap-up.
In politics, most of the time, all you have to do is follow the money. In this case, the incumbents that Wyoming Hope PAC gave money to are the same people that Western Conservatives are campaigning for. They're all Redcoated liberal Republicans. Not a coincidence.
Rod Miller and I don't agree on very much. In fact, there are only a few things. In March, we decided to have a debate right before the Primary Election and here it is. Also, a brief discussion of the recent polling by UW and the dumb campaign mailing of Crickets Cheney.
2022 Park County Republican Party Gubernatorial Debate between Governor Mark Gordon and Colonel Brent Bien. Rex Rammell was a no-show for the event.

We also talked about the recent debate challenge that was issued by Sen Anthony Bouchard concerning the Second Amendment Protection Act.

My announcement that I am running for Buffalo City Council. The mainstream media is blaming flooding in Yellowstone on climate change. Also a discussion with HD6 Candidate Tomi Strock.
Mark Gordon says that we are facing a "twin headed monster of energy security and CLIMATE CHANGE." Maybe that's the reason he vetoed legislation that would have helped with our coal and LNG export port.
The Cow Pie published a false headline and a completely misleading article about Gun Owners of America. Mark Jones of GOA explains what he actually said. Also, never before released audio courtesy of Project Veritas--an exchange between the Cow Pie and James O'Keefe. Boom!
Gun Owners of American has endorsed Harriet Hageman in her run for the United States House of Representatives. I caught up with Mark Jones from GOA and Harriet to talk about the endorsement.
Crickets has connections to the Johnson County swamp. In fact, we may have the little swamp to blame for Liz Cheney. Some details from my trip to Hartville--some comments from Chuck Gray.
The favorite trick of Redcoats is historical revisionism. They do it to the past and they do it to the present. The Washakie County Lincoln Day Dinner was no exception. One of the candidates for Superintendent of Public Instruction fell victim to it.
Taxes, Taxes, Taxes. It's usually a pretty good sign that we are being taxed too much when the government decides to give us some of our money back. For breakfast, Rep Mark Jennings and Mike Arzy joined me to discuss possible solutions to the giant tax notices we all received.
Democrats never let a good tragedy go to waste and Sleepy Joe never misses an opportunity to talk about gun control. Rod Miller thinks that we need more regulation on guns. It's Memorial Day, go thank a veteran. The speech I was going to deliver at the Trump Rally.

On the day that Roe v. Wade may be overturned, the Red Star is engaged in linguistic criminal behavior. I begrudgingly come to the defense of their unwitting victim. Liberty's Place for You is hosting a candidate forum soon. Mike Pyatt joins me to discuss it and to recount the recent pro-abortion rally that was held in Casper.
This week, just about every Wyoming media outlet has been publishing articles bashing the Wyoming Republican Party. It's the old favorites, Frontier Joe McGinley and Rep Landon Brown trying to explain that he's actually a Republican. Also a correction from Wednesday's program.

Elected officials must be accountable to their voters--they must uphold the law. And this assessor has not done that.
Schools across the country are refusing to teach the Constitution and the Declaration of Independence. The Sons of Freedom, a group in Park County, has decided to do it themselves by starting a "Constitution Bee." If we aren't satisfied with our government it is up to us to do something about it.
Sen Cale Case published a ridiculous op-ed over the weekend. He wants you to believe that the vast majority of Wyoming Citizens agree with him. He goes on and on about how extreme the WY Republican Platform is. But he doesn't mention how many times he has tried to push medicaid expansion through our legislature.
A new segment on the program--Saturday Morning Breakfast! Bryan Miller joins me to discuss the upcoming Wyoming GOP Convention in Sheridan. Also, what Bison, Yellowstone and Ralph Nader have in common.

Over the Easter holiday, the Cow Pie published an article about the new abortion clinic in Casper. In it, the authors try to convince you that the killing of innocent human beings is somehow "reproductive healthcare." It's not. I explain in detail why this claim isn't anywhere close to the truth.
Over the past 2 years many of the folks in Cheyenne have shown us who they really are--a group of elite Redcoats. One of the people trying to change that is my friend Ken Pendergraft. It's election season. And every 2 years, the Wyoming media plays the same game. They switch up their reporting with a more conservative bent. This is to convince you that they've been conservative all along. And, here's why.
Lost in the debate over the Second Amendment Protection Act is the perspective of the firearms industry. Scott Weber is the owner of Gunrunner Auctions. We had a wide ranging discussion about the SAPA bill that is now Wyoming law.
For weeks, all of us have been watching Putin's invasion of Ukraine. The media is sending mixed messages about what Putin is doing. None of them are really explaining why. Together with the Ramble Room, we discussed who Vladimir Putin really is with Author of the book, In Russian Wonderland, Charlie Cole.
Sometimes, even a blind squirrel finds a nut. But in the Wyoming media it seems that it is the blind leading the blind sometimes. County 17 News recounts opines on the old Frontier Republican trope of incivility but the leave out one glaring example of it.
Wyoming Promise purports to be a Wyoming born and bred political advocacy organization. But are they really? Nope, they are just another deceptive outside group with some pretty amazing funding sources. And there's a fairly prominent Wyoming politician that sits on their board.
Liz Cheney has a new website!! Of course, she didn't put it up; but it is hysterical. And, now Wyoming Citizens have to pay for an audience with her. Sleepy Joe has decided to tank our economy--of course all of us knew that. Also, something we haven't done in a while--a little history lesson!

Apparently, the cardinal rule in Wyoming politics is that you don't give cover to Redcoats. Why then did the gun group that demands adherence to that rule break it? Politics, pure politics. They were right to do it, but why can't anyone else make the same political calculation?
Yesterday was General Washington's birthday. That's why we commemorate President's Day. Two stories that you probably haven't heard about him at the Constitutional Convention. And there is an effort afoot to strip the State Treasurer of any meaningful power. It's starting in the House of Representatives and here's the audio to prove it.
Senator Cale Case seems to be obsessed with medicaid expansion. And this time, he is attempting to use a legislative maneuver because his bill did not make it to the floor.
Politicians love logical fallacies. Usually they appear in the hot button issues of the day. In this episode I give you two good examples.
The Redcoats circled the wagons for Dan Zwonitzer. But the hearing is not what the media is leading you to believe it was. 36 Representatives voted to not even have an investigation.
The legislature convenes today in what is sure to be an unwelcome Valentine's Day gift to Wyoming Citizens. No one's liberty is safe while they are in session. There's a reason why I haven't trusted Cheyenne since 1892 and you shouldn't trust them either. Will they prove it to us again?
The legislative session starts on Monday and first on the agenda is Dan Zwonitzer. They are scrambling to find a way to cover for him. Bob Berry from Park County and I visited about Wyoming School Boards. It's a fascinating discussion.
Tom Kelly's big announcement you have been waiting for. The Convention of States is really a deceptive narrative. Voter fraud is a serious crime and it absolutely does happen. Documents obtained by Cowboy State Politics clearly indicate that a member of the Wyoming House of Representatives committed voter fraud.
When the media gets tired of being beaten with current events, they return to their favorite old tropes. In this case, an attack on the Second Amendment. They never get tired of attacking it, and I never get tired of defending it.
So much to talk about this week. The Redcoated Frontier Republicans failed in their lawsuit against the GOP, Gail Symons is at it again. And, Rep Dan Zwonitzer seems to have no end to his problems...
There are a lot of political stories floating around this week. But, none of them are what they appear to be. Better Wyoming is attacking conservative legislators; Dan Zwonitzer is claiming he lives in an apartment; and, Tom Lubnau is suing the Wyoming Republican Party. None of them are being reported for what they are.
Saturday, the Wyoming GOP State Central Committee discussed the allegations against Rep Dan Zwonitzer. They voted unanimously--even Redcoat Frontier Joe McGinley--to send all of the implicating documents to the WY Secretary of State. And, it has been crickets from all except the Riverton Ranger.
This is the keynote address from the Wyoming GOP State Central Committee Banquet. Our message was simple: if you don't believe in our principles, start your own party and stop screwing up ours!!
There are serious questions surrounding the Co-Chairman of the Corporations Committee and i'll tell you about them. This is human trafficking awareness month. I have two great interviews on the topic: HD 31 Rep John Bear who ran a human trafficking bill last session; and, Terri Markham from Uprising--a group that focuses on human trafficking.
It's bad enough when columnists don't bother to check their facts before publishing in the paper, but when they distort facts it's an entirely different story. An article in the Wyoming Tribune Eagle is guilty on both counts. And it turns out that the author has a blog....
'Sheep Lives Matter,' or so said a sign in Powell. And, people are offended. Also, despite everything Liz Cheney says, she is not a conservative nor has she ever been. In this episode I explain exactly what Liz Cheney's political ideology is.
We have all had enough of Liz Cheney and for good reason. Since before Jan 6, Cheney has been ignoring Wyoming. And now that she is vice-chair of the witch-hunt, every other issue that is important to Wyoming Citizens has taken a back seat. In this episode I explain why Also, her challenger Harriet Hageman did an interview with Sean Hannity. Here's part of it.

Happy New Year! In this episode, I discuss a few news articles from around the state. The Red Star must have found a secret stash in their new location. CapCityNews seems to think Israel is in Wyoming and County 17 pats the CCPL on the back for making some progress with their porn collection.
What's being discussed by the Corporations Committee really doesn't bear too much resemblance to what was presented to Wyoming Citizens. Why? Because everyone has their own plan for redistricting.
Redistricting hasn't got a lot of press--that's on purpose. There is an attempt to redistrict conservatives out of their home districts. And, it is being done at the expense of rural Wyoming counties.
Fresh off of the Christmas break, I discuss how much the legislature thinks you are paying attention. The Revenue Committee made some stunning admissions in their last meeting and I show them to you!

This week Wyofile published a hit piece on Dr. Taylor Haynes, Chairman Frank Eathorne, Boone Tidwell and Ken Pendergraft about their one-time membership in Oath Keepers. It's propaganda. This time the Red Star chose to talk about civility in politics on their front page. Even when the story is "above-the-fold" they can't get the facts straight. It's either that or they choose not to.
A Bonus presentation of the 2021 Liberty Summit held December 4 in Casper Wyoming. In attendance were various patriot groups from across the state. Reps Chuck Gray, Mark Jennings and Chip Neiman were also featured speakers. Enjoy!

Say it isn't so, Democrats who are fiscal conservatives? Don't worry they're not and neither are the Redcoats. It's all political cover.
The only thing we heard from the Redcoats and Democrats in the special session was business, business, business. If it seems a little out of character, you're right. They are just using Wyoming business to cover for themselves and Sleepy Joe's mandate.
We've heard a lot about the supremacy clause this past week. I tell you what it is and what our legislators have wrong about it.
Many of our state legislators seem to have joined a different, older party. The lobbyists.
Representative Steve Harshman said some absolutely inexcusable things about Rep Chuck Gray. Speaker of the House Eric Barlow claims he is being even-handed about the matter. He's not--not anywhere close to fair.

My discussion with candidate for the United States House of Representatives, Harriet Hageman. Also, some brief comments on day one of the special session.
All but one of the Wyoming legislators that voted against the special session have one thing in common: they are in bed with lobbyists. And it shouldn't come as any surprise what type of lobbyists they have been taking money from!

Wyoming libraries have materials on their shelves that openly glorify pedophilia. But that's only half of the story. In this episode I expose it all.
