Continuing on the request train with this one from instagram asking me to cover “relationships and long distance”—pretty vague but here’s my take on it! In this episode I’ll talk about what I believe is the purpose of relationships, if a romantic relationship is required for true happiness and fulfillment, how we can prepare ourselves to receive the relationship of our dreams, and if long distance relationships are worth it or not! Enjoy! xx

HI GUYS, quick preface: Nutrition/health/eating/diet etc is a very nuanced and sensitive subject for most and there is no one size fits all. I am NOT a health or nutrition professional and am in no way advocating for any certain eating style or way to approach this very complex and individualized area of life. That said, enjoy learning about my journey and feel free to try anything on that may resonate and could be useful for you. Love you! Xo

In the episode I share with you my recipe that will lead you down your most aligned life path. We talk about this new magical chapter in AZ and why this experience is VASTLY different from the other 3 cities I moved to. Everything changed when I began asking myself these 2 questions before making any kind of decision, big or small! And BONUS: why the whole idea of “making friends as an adult is sooo hard” is total BS :) it’s easy and fun AF! What belief do you choose to subscribe to? I give you easy and practical tips to meet your peeps. Enjoy, babies! Xoxo

Some say ignorance is bliss—but I disagree. Ignorance is choosing to stay in a state of mild discomfort or misery because it’s familiar, versus venturing out into the “unknown” by facing head on the consequences of the choices we’ve made, which is the path that will lead us to true bliss (by my definition)—freedom and self-empowerment. Not to fear my friends, because if you’ve been unhappy with some choices you’ve made in life thus far, it is a new day. Everything we’ve ever gone through, including every choice we’ve made (“good” or “bad”) has prepared us for this very moment. And in this moment, we have the opportunity to make a new choice—a better, more empowering, conscious choice—over and over again for the rest of our lives. Let’s make them count. ❤️

You may THINK you're living for yourself, but think back to the last major life decision you made. Was it at all influenced by your mom, boyfriend, spouse, girlfriend, friend, the pressure of following societal "rules", or trying to make anyone other than yourself happy? Or did you make the decision because it was what YOU truly wanted for yourself and your life, despite what anyone else may think? Perhaps it's a combination of both. And consider this: when was the last time you truly gave thought to what you truly want and need, without considering any outside influences? Big questions, I know. Sit back as I explore these thoughts in this week's episode. Enjoy!

Our inner critic can be pretty harsh sometimes, but once we understand that voice is not who we are, but the voice of a parent figure that was learned and taken on as truth—this changes the game. We’re able to have more compassion for ourselves if we disassociate from the voice in our head and understand that it is the voice of others that we absorbed most often in childhood. So can we do now with this awareness? Listen to find out. 💓 P.S.—want to work with me 1:1? I have one, maybe two spots left for my intimate, personalized coaching package to get you on the path to creating a more peaceful, positive and harmonious mindset. ‼️Vulnerability alert‼️ I questioned publishing this episode or not, but decided that this story and message needs to be shared, despite how uncomfortable it may make myself or anyone else feel. I haven’t seen or spoken to my family in a year, and it’s been hard. But, with hard times comes tremendous growth, and for that I am grateful. In this episode, I tell the story of why I decided to take space from seeing or speaking to my family for a year now, what I will and will not tolerate from any relationships in my life, and when to know that it’s time to place healthy boundaries in your relationships that will not only serve you, but the people in your life as well.

My birthday was yesterday!! (May 20th) And it’s my first one ever while living in NYC! It was actually the best birthday I’ve had in a loooong time—and the kicker? I spent it alone! Okay, yes, I went MIA on the podcast for a month. I'M SORRY! This wasn't planned, I just slipped into an absolute funk and was battling some slight depression and some MAJOR ego thoughts I had to learn to navigate. I had some family stuff I was dealing with and, on a happier note, I have been learning to navigate a relatively new, healthy relationship....and it's both exciting and TERRIFYING for my Ego. In this episode we'll go a bit deeper into what I've been up to and some lessons I've learned. I also express how instead of leaning away from the podcast during difficult times, I'd like to develop the courage to lean INTO the podcast, and show up even when life is scary, so I can share with you the real, raw, and vulnerable parts too, where I may not have all the answers. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!

Let’s be honest here, every one of us probably has some sort of tiny grudge we’re holding, or suppressed/lingering resentment, anger, guilt, or shame we just can’t seem to “shake off”. Whether it may be toward another person who wronged you, or yourself. In this episode we cover the truth about forgiveness, who it’s REALLY for, and how to set yourself free.

You may think self-confidence comes from dropping that extra 5 pounds, fitting into that bikini, learning how to tell better jokes, having better posture, etc....and sure, maybe these things would help, temporarily. But REAL, lasting confidence comes from deep within. True confidence is rooted in your self worth, self love, and self respect—all of which takes time to build if you’re like many people, and learned to be your own worst critic at a young age by taking on the opinions and perceptions of others. Not to fret, I promise you not all is lost. I was once incredibly insecure and had zero self worth. Implementing small daily practices that turned into habits which helped me build discipline over time began to naturally increase my self worth by showing up for myself. Which as a result made me love and respect myself....and the rest is history. Listen to go deeper into this. Enjoy, and I wish you all the love and confidence in the world. ♥️

Ever find yourself up at night, not able to sleep because you’re so stressed and can’t stop worrying about something? Yeah, we’ve all been there. What if I told you there’s a different way? That you don’t have to let yourself be consumed by stressful and worrisome thoughts? That you don’t have to feel like you need to have everything figured out? Placing my trust in the hands of the universe was the best thing I could have ever done for myself, my life, and everyone in it. I hope this episode inspires you to release control, hand over the reins to a higher power, and trust that everything is working out in perfect order, exactly as it should be.

In this week’s episode of The Sweet Surrender Podcast, we’re pondering the famous quote by Gandhi: “Our beliefs become our thoughts. Our thoughts become our words. Our words become our habits. Our habits become our values. Our values become our destiny.” Oof, powerful stuff. But here’s a question...where do our beliefs actually come from? What if I don’t like them? Am I stuck with them forever? Take a listen and find out.

Jealousy, insecurity, wanting to control others...there’s always hidden underlying fears and subconscious beliefs that cause these types of feelings and behaviors to play out in our lives and relationships. The good part? Once you become aware of what may not be servings you, you can change it! You always have a choice. Book reference: ‘You Can Heal Your Life’ by Louise Hay

Truth is, it’s hard to figure out you who you really are. It’s SO much easier to just go along with who everyone else wants you to be and think what everyone else wants you to think. The catch? It’s also the quickest way to become filled with self-loathing, doubt, and resentment. Have you ever asked yourself: Who are you living for? No, really...WHO are you living for? Because if it’s anyone else but YOU, you’ve got a long, bumpy, painful road ahead of you, my friend. People have got their own lives, problems, dreams, goals, fears to deal with...they’re not too concerned with yours. And if it seems like they are, they’re really just projecting all of their thoughts and beliefs onto you (aka it’s STILL about them). Don’t be fooled. Only YOU know what’s best for you. It’s time you start trusting yourself and begin living that beautiful life you’ve always dreamed of—it’s yours for the taking. Right here. Right now. And in this week’s (second) episode, I’ll show you how I did it. Hope this helps. ♥️

Ever wonder why certain people treat you a certain way? You might think it’s you that inspires their behavior—aka it was you that caused your partner to get upset, or maybe you’re convinced your coworker just doesn’t like you. Perhaps you may have noticed some people are generally more grumpy than others, happier than others, etc. Well, my friends, truth is—none of that actually has anything to do with you. In this episode, you will learn what it really means when people say “how people treat others is a direct reflection of how they feel about themselves”. I hope this brings you peace. Enjoy!

Have you ever wondered what the hell you’re doing with your life? If you’re making the right decisions, going down the right path, maybe even living for everyone else but yourself? Of course you have—who hasn’t?! Well, you’re in the right place. These are some questions I asked myself a few years ago after hitting what felt like rock bottom. With some help, I learned how to pull myself out of the black hole of my depression and take ownership of what I saw. It was HARD, but ohhh was it worth it. Since then, my life has been an adventure to say the least. It took releasing the grips of what I thought my life should look like and making the best of what it was that led me to understand: all suffering is truly optional. If you pause for a second, you’ll realize life has a beautiful flow to it, and all you have to do is surrender. Welcome to the Sweet Surrender Podcast. I’m your host, Sandra Sitto and I am SO happy you’re here.
