In a thin, six-inch bone bed on the site of a former marl pit, Dr. Kenneth Lacovara is leading research at the Jean and Ric Edelman Fossil Park at Rowan University in Mantua Township, N.J. The park contains thousands of fossils and provides researchers with the best window, east of the Mississippi, into the Cretaceous Period—the heyday of the dinosaurs.
114 Victoria Street is new to the landscape of Rowan, first housing students in the fall of 2018. Conveniently located on the corner of Victoria Street and Rowan Boulevard, this residence hall provides students with various fun activities and food right outside their doors, including the Starbucks in the Barnes and Noble directly across the street!
57 North Main is one of the newest Nexus residence halls on Rowan's campus, opening on the fall of 2018.
The Barnes and Nobles Bookstore is located on Rowan Boulevard. Here students can grab Starbucks before class, rent or buy textbooks, and purchase all of their Rowan apparel including sports gear, commencement cap and gowns, sweatshirts and gifts!
The Fitness Center is a 17,000 square foot facility that opened in the Fall of 2017. It is located on Victoria Street on the Ground floor of the Victoria buildings. The Fitness Center is full of state-of-the-art equipment including a Precor Queenex 21 station, 9 suspension training systems, a free weight room, traditional fitness area, and 35 cardio machines with 15'' screens. At the Fitness Center we also have our new Fit3D body scan software for students to measure and keep track of their BMI to stay on top of their fitness goals!
230 Victoria is one of our newest upperclassmen residence halls on campus, privately owned by Nexus but available to all Rowan students!
Victoria opened in Fall of 2017 and is located near our downtown Rowan Boulevard. It is home to our Writing Arts and Communication Departments, and houses our Communication and Creative Arts classrooms.
6 High Street was recently refurbished by Rowan in Fall of 2015, but originally began as the First National Bank of Glassboro. The 6 High Street Building is home to faculty offices for the Journalism Department and The Whit, Rowan University's very own student-run newspaper.
The International House is home to our International Students and has several rooms, an RA, laundry facilities, bathrooms, and a kitchen. The International House allows for our International Students to come together as a community.
Shpeen Hall was named after the late mayor of Glassboro and is located on Academy St. It is home to the Alumni Engagement Office, University Advancement and Facilities.
Holly Pointe is our newest underclassman residence hall, opening in 2016, and housing 1415 freshman and sophomore students. Holly Pointe has communal style co-ed pods which include a mix of bedrooms (doubles and limited singles), lounges and study spaces, and laundry rooms. The men's, women's, gender-inclusive, showers/bathrooms in the hallways are cleaned and supplied by staff daily.
The Rowan Boulevard Apartments are located on Rowan Boulevard, right near our hub for so many stores and restaurants! These upperclassmen apartments are typically 4 bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, kitchen and living space. The Rowan Boulevard apartments do come furnished, and there are laundry facilities and study spaces on every floor!
Opened Fall of 2015 and home to the PR/Advertising Departments and the Rowan Art Gallery. Our Rowan Art Gallery hosts student and external showcases. The 301 High street building is also home to several Communication and Creative Arts Classrooms.
220 is an upperclassmen apartment style residence. It is private-affiliated, meaning the apartment complex is privately owned, but affiliated with Rowan University and houses many of our upperclassmen students. Each apartment is typically four bedroom, 2 full bathrooms, a kitchen, and a living space. The apartments do come furnished, and the building has many other perks including laundry facilities, study and lounge spaces, conference rooms, granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and flat screen TV's.
The Enterprise building is home to Rowan Global Learning and Partnerships, responsible for our Graduate Studies and online classes. In this building there are multi-purpose classrooms and a nursing laboratory for BSN programs. On the ground floor there are retail stores.
The Courtyard Marriott Hotel was a wonderful addition to Rowan Boulevard, and is a great place for visiting parents to stay! The hotel offers free high speed internet, a fitness center, pool, and meeting event space!
The Whitney Center is an apartment style residence for upperclassmen. Apartments are typically 4 bedroom, one student to a room, and two students to a bathroom. There is a kitchen and living room per each apartment, and the apartments come furnished. There are laundry facilities in each hallway, and lounge and study spaces on every floor. The Whitney Center is also home to our esteemed Honors College, complete with a wing dedicated to several Honors classrooms, offices, study spaces, and computer labs.
The Welcome Center is one of Rowan University's newest additions and is located on Rowan Boulevard. The Welcome Center is the first building prospective students and their parents get to see as it is the locations for Admissions Presentations and Daily tours.
The ROTC building is home to Rowan's Army Reserve Officers' Training Corps program. If interested in being part of this program, speak to Veterans Affairs Office in Savitz Hall!
Designed primarily for instruction in the STEM disciplines, Discovery Hall will feature 12 classrooms, eight teaching laboratories, faculty research laboratories, two conference rooms, student collaboration space and faculty offices when it opens in 2021.
Hollybush Mansion was originally used to house the presidents of our university, but now has been renovated to show the building's history. In 1967, our Hollybush Mansion became the site of the Hollybush Summit. In 1967 President Lyndon B. Johnson and USSR Premier Alexei Kosygin wanted to meet to discuss pressing issues such as world conflicts and the nuclear arms race in hopes to improve US/Soviet Relations.
The Carriage House is one of our oldest buildings on campus and is now used for our University Publications.
Bole Hall Annex is our Public Safety Building. Public Safety on our campus is comprised of our own Rowan University police force, in addition to 50+security officers that patrol the campus around the clock on foot, on bike, by car, and even on segway. In addition to this, we also have Glassboro police department and NJ State Troopers constantly driving through campus, and a student patrol that walks campus from 7:00 pm to 4:00am. There are over 100 Blue Light Poles around Campus for students to contact public safety in case of emergency, and a Rowan University Emergency Notification System that sends text messages to parents, students, and staff with public safety alerts, school closings, etc.
The Sangree Green House is located next to Bunce. The Greenhouse provides a space for major specific hands on learning.
The Townhouses are available for our upperclassmen students, beginning their sophomore years. Conveniently located across from academic buildings like Westby and Science Hall, Townhouses are three stories high, and typically contain 4 bedrooms, one student to a room, and two students to a bathroom.
Our John Green Team House was named after the late Glassboro State College football player, and is located next to the Richard Wackar Stadium. It holds locker rooms and facilities for student athletes, including separate locker rooms for every sports team.
The Edgewood Park Apartments are available for upperclassmen students beginning their sophomore year. These apartments provide students the opportunity to live in an apartment style resident hall at a more affordable rate, seeing as these apartments allow for two students to reside in a single bedroom.
Chestnut Hall is one of our communal style freshman residence halls. Students are typically 2 to a room, and 4-6 rooms share a bathroom in the hallway. Bathrooms are cleaned and supplied by staff daily. Hallways are same gender and floors are co-ed. Laundry facilities are located on the first floor, and main lounges with TV's and study spaces are located throughout the building.
Magnolia Hall is one of our communal style freshman residence halls. Students are typically 2 to a room, and 4-6 rooms share a bathroom in the hallway. Bathrooms are cleaned and supplied by staff daily. Hallways are same gender and floors are co-ed. Laundry facilities are located on the first floor, and main lounges with TV's and study spaces are located throughout the building.
Willow Hall is one of our communal style freshman residence halls. Students are typically 2 to a room, and 4-6 rooms share a bathroom in the hallway. Bathrooms are cleaned and supplied by staff daily. Hallways are same gender and floors are co-ed. Willow Hall does not have laundry facilities in the building, but it is located next to the Student Center where residents can use the laundry facilities that are located on the downstairs floor of the Student Center. The main lounge is a study or hangout space with TV's and couches, and there are smaller lounges in each hallway.
Mimosa Hall is a suite style freshman residence hall located in the heart of campus between the REC center and Student Center. The hall is suite style with two students to a bedroom, sharing a bathroom between 2-3 other rooms. The suites and bathrooms are same-gender, but the hallways are co-ed, and the bathrooms are not cleaned or supplied by staff for the sake of the students privacy. Therefore, the bathrooms will be cleaned and stocked by students living in the suite. Laundry facilities are located in the hallways, and there are lounges for the students complete with TV's, piano, pool table, and community kitchen. Mimosa also has a computer lab and printing for students that live in the building.
The Winans Wellness Center is where students can go for all of their health needs on campus. The Wellness Center holds several departments to better our students lives including our Healthy Campus Initiatives which is a health promotion department with non clinical student groups, Counseling and Psychological services which offer free group, individual, and couples therapy, as well as destress events and specialized therapy, our Student t Health Services which provide medical visits by appointment and prescription services (that can be filled at the local Walgreens), and our very own Rowan University EMS. Our Rowan EMS is award winning and provides free medical transport for students injured on campus.
Located next to other residence hall, Evergreen. Mullica Hall is a freshman residence suite style hall, meaning that 2-3 bedrooms share a bathroom in the middle. The bedrooms are 2 students to a bedroom with limited singles for special accommodations. The suites and bathrooms are same-gender, but the hallways are co-ed, and bathrooms are not cleaned or supplied by staff for the sake of the student's privacy, and therefore will be cleaned and stocked by the students living in the suite. Laundry facilities are located in the hallways, and there are lounges for the students complete with TV's, piano, study spaces, and community kitchen.

Formerly a residence hall, Oak Hall is now home to Human Resources and the Graduate Research programs.
Formerly a residence hall, Laurel Hall is now home to the Orientation and Student Leadership Programs (OSLP) department, Purchasing, and Office of Sponsored Programs.
Memorial Hall is home to our IT Department with a Tech Center that can work on any computer, and our IT is licensed to fix Mac and Lenovo computers without breaking any warranties. Memorial Hall is also home to two of our dance studios where dance majors and non majors alike can take dance classes from ballroom to hip hop!
Bunce Hall was our first academic building on campus, and it was finished September 23, 1923 as we opened our doors to female education students and began our history as Glassboro Normal School. Our University went through 5 name changes before becoming what we are today, Rowan University, thanks to a $100 million dollar donation by Henry M. Rowan. Bunce Hall now houses our Foreign Language Department, Theater Department, Philosophy/Religion and English. There are two theaters in Bunce Hall,Tohill Theater and our Black Box Theater, which hold numerous performances done by our talented students. Bunce Hall is a part of every student's college experience as it faces our Commencement Green, where every student graduates and walks across our graduation stage during our annual ceremony.
Bozorth originally opened as an on campus elementary school, and it was renovated later in 1985. It is now home to our Radio-Television-Film Department and even has a studio where we film our Rowan Television Network. We also have a radio room for our Award-winning Rowan Radio, 89.7 WGLS. Hawthorn Hall is located in the heart of the more historic side of campus and contains classrooms for public speaking as well as the Study Abroad Office and the Office of Social Justice, Inclusion, and Conflict Resolution.
Science Hall hosts a lot of our majors including Biology, Chemistry, and many more STEM related majors. Inside the building not only are there many classrooms, an Au Bon Pain Cafe, and fully equipped labs, but also Science Hall is known for its Edelman Planetarium, South Jersey's largest and only planetarium. The roof of Science Hall provides an environment for learning as well, complete with a Greenhouse, Astronomy Tower, Pigeon Coop, and 16 inch Telescope as a result of a $2 Million NASA Donation.
Westby Hall is home to our Art and Art History Departments and is complete with 10 fully equipped studios for disciplines like ceramics, photography, printmaking, painting, sculpture, jewelry, and metal working. The building also has multiple art galleries featuring the work of our talented students, as well as the esteemed 1970's exhibition, Sister Chapel.
Business Hall is home to our Rohrer College of Business. In addition to all of the business classrooms and offices, the building also has collaboration rooms with BT accessible TVs for students to use as study spaces or for group project preparation. The Business Hall is also the location to find our Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship and our Center for Professional Development. Our Center for Professional Development is an office that students can visit for career advice, resume help, and even borrow professional attire for interviews. The building is also home to our's stock trading room, complete with 12 Bloomberg terminals to give our students an exceptional hands-on learning environment.
In January 2017 this extension was added on to the original Rowan Hall, and the two are connected with a sky bridge. The buildings are filled with state of the art technology for clinic labs and there is an Einstein Bros.
Rowan Hall was built in 1996 as a part of Henry M. Rowan's donation to our university. It is home to our engineering programs including Biomedical, Chemical, Civil and Environmental, Electrical and Computer, Mechanical, and Engineering Entrepreneurship, in which all majors partake in eight semesters worth of engineering clinics. Addition of the Engineering Hall in 2017 allowed for expansion of our program.
Wilson Hall is home to our Music Departments. In addition to our 80 practice rooms, Wilson also houses Boyd Recital Hall (225 seats) and Pfleeger Concert Hall (950 seats). Inside Wilson we also have our Rowan University Music Library, and recently we have added an outdoor amphitheater.
Home to many College of Humanities & Social Sciences and the School of Earth and Environment classrooms and office spaces including the Departments of Computer Science, Mathematics, Psychology, and Women and Gender Studies.
Home to the College of Education and School of Health Professions. There are observation rooms, Hydrostatic Weighting Lab, teaching labs, and an on site day care center. There is also a satellite cafe inside and a newly renovated Robinson Green outside.
"Esby" Gym is connected to our REC center and is home to our Rowan Profs Athletics facilities and coaches offices. In Esby, there is a separate gym and pool for our student athletes.
The Rec Center Facility is free for students to use. On the first floor there is a welcome desk where students can check in, rent equipment, and sign up for intramurals or classes. There are three basketball courts, a pool, ping pong tables, and a smoothie bar. The upstairs holds all of our cardio machines, fitness areas, free weight room, indoor track, and raquetball rooms. The REC is largely student run and offers three levels of athletics.
Campbell Library is home to nearly 350,000 print volumes, along with 500,000 electronic resources, a selective Government Documents Depository, Rowan University Archives & Special Collections, and the RCA Heritage Museum. Fun Fact: The Library progressively gets quieter with each floor you go up, and I like to study on the 5th floor where it is really quiet.
Savitz Hall is located in the heart of campus with three floors full of resources for students.

The Chamberlain Student Center is the hub on campus for all things food and fun. The First Floor of the Student Center is home to our Profs' Place where you can find pool tables, Jersey Mike's, Grill Nation, and a stage for student performances. There's also a downstairs Game Room stocked with arcade games and video games, Mail Room, laundry facilities, and the RoGO Market. Upstairs on the Second Floor you can find the Pit, Peet's Coffee, Student Information Desk, Marketplace Eatery, Owl's Nest, Greek Affairs, SGA Office, Office of Student Activities, TD Bank ATM, and Coupon Kiosk. On the Third Floor we have our Eynon Ballroom, RowanCard Office, Office of Volunteerism and Community Engagement, and Commuter Services Office. Just outside of the Student Center is our Student Center Back Patio, with Solar Powered charging tables for outdoor eating and plenty of activities throughout the year!
