This week I want to challenge you to keep a time card of your efforts that you were putting forth. At the end of the week measure the amount of effort versus the results you got to see what actions are working and what actions are not working
Get congruency in your life and learn to be the same person on the field that you are off the field. Don’t portray a lifestyle that you are not ready to live yourself.
If your inner voice were a person in your life would you be friends with it or would it be your worst enemy. The good news is you have the power to change it from your worst enemy to the champion in your corner.
All too often we try to compare ourselves to other people and other peoples definition for success, or even what they think our success should be. The only definition of success that matters is your own definition and whether you are moving towards that definition of success or away from it. Only compare yourself to who you were yesterday and make the daily incremental changes to achieve your desired life.
Where our focus goes our energy flows so who or what in your life do you need to forgive so you can focus on your compelling future. Don’t let a grudge clutter up your mind and keep you from living the better life that you deserve
Take stock of what you are fueling your body mind and finances with. Health is a three Legget stool and you want to be healthy financially, mentally, and physically. It’s important to realize what you are fueling each one of these legs with and take inventory of the fuel you put in your body, mind, and bank account
We know that success is not an overnight achievement however incremental success is overtime add up to large achievement. Since we now know where we want to be at the end of 2021 let’s make sure each day we are building incremental wins to get to that compelling future. Don’t compare yourself to others only compare yourself to who you were yesterday and make sure that you are better today
If you are a combination of the five people you spend the most time with, get conscious of who you were spending time with and whether their values align with yours. Also take inventory as to whether you are changing your values to meet yours and whether they are bringing you up or pulling you down.
Look at the decisions you make throughout the day and decide if they are either pulling you towards your compelling future or if they are pushing you away from it. If you want to free up more time in your day and get more productive you need to cut out the things in your life that are not serving your bigger picture and focus on the actions that are. Get binary in your thinking and eliminate actions that do not serve accomplishing your goals
Once you have written down your compelling future and you have a clear target on where you want to go it is now time to take action. Imperfect action outside of your comfort zone is what is going to get you to the results you desire. Take your compelling future in reverse engineer it from one year to six months to three months to one month to one day to 15 minute action steps that you can take to get you where you want to go. Achieving the small tasks will build momentum and pull you towards your end result you desire
What if you looked at life in a way that obstacles in the path to your best life are happening for you, and not to you. Rather than focusing on the obstacle and how it has hurt your momentum, focus on your outcome. Think of the obstacle as a blessing to give you the tools knowledge and perseverance to get to the next level and overcome any obstacle that comes your way
Almost as important as knowing where are you want to go, your compelling future, it is also important to know where you don’t want to go. Take a look at your life as never taking action and see what it’s like six months, one year, or five years from now having remained the same and never growing and never taking action
All too often we get caught up writing our goals with no emotion attached. These goals might as well be a blank piece of paper because there is no driving force behind them. In today’s brief podcast we will dig into how to determine what goals are important and how to break out of the goal rut.
