This podcast channel was created to help encourage dialogue between members of the Diaspora. It encourages them to share more information about themselves, their stories, and their aspirations when it comes to the African continent.
We're giving it to you straight in this episode. Burnell and I cover some interesting ideas on Pan-Africanism. Burnell then clarifies the reason behind a few misconceptions between Africans and Black-Americans. Lastly, we stress the importance of building our communities through economics and what exactly we as the diaspora could do to help elevate our communities inside and outside of Africa. After about 4 failed attempts, Helena and I were finally able to record the 7th chapter of the Umoja Journal. I had the pleasure of sitting down and speaking with Helena. Born in Burundi but originally from Congo, Helena and her brothers were moved to Denmark by their dad and they've been there for a little over 21 years. We discuss her experience growing up in Denmark and being educated through the Danish system. Also, how being part of a small African community there has shaped her thoughts, feelings, and long-term goals for when she returns to Congo. Big thank you to those who are listening!

Traveling is nice. It's nicer when you're able to share your experience with people and relate to some of the feelings, fears, and situations that they've gone through as well. This episode of the podcast talks about exactly that. It's an impromptu discussion between myself, Dalton, and Adam. Dalton is Tanzanian but spent the majority of his life in the US, while Adam is from Croydon, England. For Adam and I, it's our first experience here. However, for Dalton, he's a little more seasoned when it comes to TZ. This makes for an interesting conversation about our similar and contrasting opinions about Tanzania and Africa in general. Hello everyone. This week, I had a chance to speak with Cynthianatasha. She's a self-published author, editor, and creative writer. We touched a lot on domestic violence and sexual assault in Nigeria. The stories that she shared with me really opened my eyes to how unsafe Nigeria can be for women. Cynthianatasha wants to shed more light on these issues which is why she wrote a book. She not only covers the issues but some solutions and considerable ideas that can change Nigeria for the better.
This week I had the pleasure of speaking with Sophia, all the way from the Netherlands. She's a brilliant and very sweet woman originally from Tanzania but relocated to Europe with her family. This kind of situation isn't always as easy as most people think and Sophia has had her trials and tribulations. However, she's managed to pull through and keep her sights set on her mission back home in Tanzania. Check out her story now.
