Why would your postdoc position inquery be immediately deleted without reading? This is salutation. You always need to make your email personal. We all understand that you send hundred of the same emails to hundred professors, but at the same time, making your solutation personal is the act of paying respect to your potential superviser.
If you didn't spent this 10 seconds to replace the name of Professor in your email, this demonstrate that you are not that devoted to work in this specific lab with this Professor. Please, remember this and always make your salutation personal.

Not all career paths are the same, and this can be particularly true for mothers. Angela Wilson joins Anna and Kate from STEMM Global to discuss how being a mother has shaped her journey in STEMM. They talk about the different barriers to women in STEMM and other fields, as well as how becoming a mother helped inspire and renew Angela’s scientific career!
Angela Wilson is the founder of Baby Smiles Club, and a mother to a young son. Angela studied Natural Sciences at Cambridge University before moving away from science to practise law. Before her son was born, she was interested in learning more about how babies sleep. This drew her back to her STEMM background and lead to the creation of her company. She is now a certified child sleep consultant.

Professor Yang-Hui He joins Anna from STEMM Global at the Royal Institution to discuss his STEMM career journey. He describes the fascinating, multinational pathway that brought him to his current position, and gives his advice to the next generation of scientists looking to progress in academia.
Prof. He is a Fellow of the London Institute, Professor of Mathematics at City, University of London, Tutor in Mathematics at Merton College, Oxford, and Chang-Jiang Chair of Physics at Nankai University, China. He works at the interface of string theory, algebraic and combinatorial geometry, and machine learning.

Being a Woman in STEMM is a challenge. Being a Mother in STEMM brings even more difficulties. But challenges are meant to be overcome — motherhood should not be a barrier to success in STEMM.
Dr. Yue (Christina) Wang is a RAEng Research Fellow in the Department of Physics at the University of York, and a mother to two children. She discusses how she has successfully balanced becoming a mother with her ongoing career in academia, including her experiences of maternity, the systems of support she has found, and what still needs to change to help mothers unleash their full scientific potential.

Solar energy is at the forefront of the fight against anthropogenic global warming. The technology behind harnessing solar radiation is advancing at a rapid rate. At the same time, great strides are being made in energy storage technologies required to ensure power is available on demand when and where it's needed.
